Peter Dabro: Multiple friends have had excellent experiences at this clinic
Mei Wilkinson: Professional and caring. Had an IUD inserted under sedation. I've been nervous about anesthetic in the past but the anesthesiologist was really kind and reassuring.
Isabella Leyten: I left work early on a busy day to make my appointment. I arrived and knocked on the door, rang the door bell and called. There was no response after 25 minutes of waiting in the corridor. I assume that they closed early as there was no answer. I then had to leave and make a half hour trip back home after being put in that position. The least you could have done was let me know that you were cancelling my appt and closing early.
Su Ning Loh: Came here bright and early as it was open according to Google. Couldnt find a way to enter the building so I called the landline.A guy picked up and told me I cant buzz in, I can only come in if I have an appointment. Unfortunately we didn’t know this and we didnt have an appointment and we just wanted to see a doctor but the way he explained was just so rude. “We’re only open to patients with appointments today” then proceeds to ask me whats happening? So I explained and he then replied “yeah we’re not open today” see this inconsistency here? Plus you’re also answering the landline so it’s clear you’re open. Horrible.
Vero: I tried to call and book an appointment but the receptionist was so rude! I could not believe how rude she was.
Lucretia Liu: I had a positive experience with this clinic today. I had mild anxiety before the SA (as it was my 1st time) but the whole process was actually very calming & worry-free! The doctors seemed really nice. Last thing I remember is the sedation & then my memory jumps straight to waking up under a warm blanket... Feeling very well post surgery too - strolled through the city & did some shopping.
abigail asiedu: Love you guys like crazy 😜Thanks for your helpGuys I recommend yous go the anytimeThey are really goodGood communication skills and the doctors and nurses are amazing 🤩
Alex Galin: The most experienced doctors and nurses in Sydney. Professional, efficient and empathetic staff.
C. R: Firstly, I would like to say that the counsellor I saw (Deborah) and the male doctor who did my ultrasound were both kind, respectfully informative, and professional. However, the receptionist is extremely abrupt and rude, especially to support people who are dropping off and picking up patients. Yes, you are told when booking that support people are not permitted in the clinic, but how hard is it to be compassionate when telling these people to wait outside/come back later? Most disappointingly though, as someone with a severe phobia of intravenous (IV) needles due to a traumatic history involving IV needles, the sedation doctor was completely apathetic from the moment she entered the consult room to meet with me before my procedure. I don't know her name but she is an older lady with short white hair who wears glasses. I will refer to this woman as "Jane" from here on in. Below are the notes I made for myself yesterday about what transpired with her so that I could make an accurate complaint to APHRA and NSW Health regarding her disgraceful conduct:1. Jane didn't say hi or acknowledge me when she entered the room, until she had flipped through all my documents, even though I had immediately said hi to her.2. After a minute or so, Jane instructed me where to sign and ignored the clearly underlined "severe phobia of IV needles", before shuffling the papers to get up and leave.3. Before Jane left her chair, I was desperate to explain my fear to her, so I started with "I need to tell you that I have a severe phobia of IV needles..." which is when Jane cut me off and went on a tangent about how "phobia's are just irrational fears" and "there's nothing I can do to change that for you".4. I started to respond saying "I know it's irrational but..." which is when Jane cut me off again to ask "do you have any piercings"? I started to reply, but it was not as simple as yes or no for me, and she cut me off mid-sentence for a third time to re-ask her irrelevant "do you have any piercings or tattoos" question. I said yes, and it was in this moment that I started to shut down.5. Jane went on about how ridiculous it is that "it's often the people with piercings and tattoos that have these irrational fears, it doesn't make sense".6. Jane then noticed that I came prepared with emla cream on my left hand, to which she said "the IV will be going in your right hand too by the way because emla cream makes it near impossible to find a vein, it's too difficult".7. At this point, I had to accept that this apathetic, rude, and unprofessional woman was not going to listen to or support me at all, so I told her that I want the gas to hopefully reduce my anxiety. Jane sighed heavily, rolled her eyes, behaved in a very cold manner, and replied with "hmm" as though it was such an inconvenience for her.8. As Jane was getting up and walking to the door, which was behind me, she was saying something along the lines of "the worst thing to be is a moving target, everyone has the same irrational fear, follow me" while almost scoffing at me.9. I was incredibly upset, stressed, unable to even look at or toward Jane as I entered the surgical theatre and, while I was having a panic attack on the operating chair, Jane had the audacity and unprofessionalism to say "geez you need to calm down, you're stressing me out". This is the last thing I remember before being sedated. Can you imagine what such a horrible experience would do to someone who is already traumatised as a result of previous medical treatments/procedures involving IV needles? I was in an incredibly vulnerable position yesterday. I am appalled and further traumatised by Jane's actions and behaviours yesterday. Jane is a prime example of why the years of experience you have in a particular field mean almost nothing when you have little else to offer your patients.Due to my dealings with Jane, I will never return to this clinic for any reason, and I would strongly suggest that anyone with mental health issues, particularly trauma-related, look elsewhere too.
Degi 21: Best place . Doctor staffs are very friendly. Make you feel safe and comfortable .
M B: The receptionist I spoke to now, is just horrible, talking over me and extremely rude, if this is their preface, I do not want to go further
Joyce Kenny: Can be quite daunting going for Womens Helath services but the staff were absolutely amazing. thank you!
ella wilson: I usually am not one to post a review on something, but I feel this is necessary. A few months back I had a surgical termination, which is obviously not going to be a pleasant experience but you do expect the staff to be supportive and respectful towards you. I am 17 years old and had been taken by my Mother and partner. We were greeted by an older lady whom was extremely rude and did not have a compassionate bone in her body. The way she spoke to myself, my Mother and my partner was absolutely disgusting and made me feel even worse then I had coming to the clinic in the first place. Once the termination had been completed, myself and 4 or 5 other women were sat on a chair to be assessed and made sure that we were okay to leave after a certain amount of time. A woman was weeping, in complete grief. I understand that these people see this everyday, but for goodness sake, show some compassion. This poor woman made one of the biggest and hardest decisions of her life and they had no care to talk to her. Before the procedure we were sent to a counsellor to discuss the decision and further plans. The lady was extremely judgemental and rude. If you can’t be kind, don’t work in this profession. This is an experience that I do not like to reflect on but feel that this needs to be shared. I hope that no other woman has to experience this feeling and go through any of this.
Ravneet kaur: I had my medical services from the clinic,, the doctor and nurses are very nice, explains well the procedures, medication, everything, but the people sitting at reception are very very rude, I requested them for some information for my private health insurance and she has been extremely rude to me,, when I asked her why is being rude to me,, she said that don't u teach me how to speak i am in this system for several years,, this was really bad,, doesn't matter how many years of service you have done, if u don't know how to deal with clients its useless.
DIANE SEGL: Thank you to all the staff at Macquarie Street Clinic for calming my daughter in law before her abortion. She told me everyone was really delightful helping her to relax and answered all the "silly" questions
Guneet Singh: Had the worst experience with this clinic, my partner went in for the procedure and called me after it was finished crying and completely distraught. She advised the the practice manager named Sherly was very rude and unhelpful. She told my girlfriend her hands were chubby. Which is such a setback for someone who has been suffering from an eating disorder. We’ve been working with many therapist to over come this eating disorder and this has set her back so much. This is highly unprofessional and I even contacted the clinic to make a complaint but the same lady (practice manger - Sherly) answered she advised I can make the complaint with her. I advised her I am not comfortable to do that and asked if I can speak to someone else. She said no and proceeded to disconnected the call.
Angel A: I sought care from this clinic and had an IUD Mirena inserted under sedation. I cannot fault the clinical staff who took care of me. The nurses Joyce, Jade, and the doctors were absolutely lovely and thorough. They spent time educating me and allowed me time to ask questions. The process was a little longer than anticipated but overall okay.Unfortunately what ruined the experience was the receptionist/practice manager. Even during my initial call she was short with me, hardly ran through the process and booked me in super quickly. Did not try to provide reassurance or explain the procedure and what the whole day would look like as a patient. I called to complain and spoke to a lovely nurse who advised me MULTIPLE complaints have been made regarding her behaviour (please read previous reviews which states the same). She even told me that this particular receptionist is also the practice manager so I couldn’t make a further complaint. The nurse talked me through the day, reassured me about all of the information and let me know she would pass my feedback onto the doctors. On the day of my appointment this receptionist/practice manager had the nerve to tell me my hands were chubby and I told her it was rude and that she doesn’t know how that could affect someone. She then proceeded to gaslight me by telling me “I’m just trying to be sweet with you. I’m not calling you chubby, your hands”. Who in the world wants to hear that? In a vulnerable state, before going under for a procedure with no support person. She even described herself as a “grumpy old b*tch” as she fussed over papers and calls directly in front of me. She is extremely rude (even over the phone, as other reviews can attest) and I watched her interactions with other patients which fluctuated but overall has extremely bad customer service and not a warm, reassuring woman despite the type of clinic it is.The position of the front desk is right in the waiting room so EVERYONE can hear your details/conversations.I hope I am contacted by someone (not the practice manager, who I will not name) with some type of reassurance. Something needs to be done, it affected me so much and she has no clue how she speaks can affect someone so bad. I have suffered with an eating disorder for years and hearing that from her has made me not eat a single thing. Absolutely awful. It is such a shame. Even the nurse I spoke to told me she speaks like that to everyone, even the staff. Disgusting.
Johannie Chauffrey: Wonderful doctors and very well organised the only problem in this clinic the two lady's at the front are always very rude and not nice it's such a shame to have unfriendly staff in a place where girls should feel good.
Oya Guney: Women reproductive health is an area I tend to be nervous about and feel the need to be in professional hands. I am very impressed with the doctor's competency and grateful for the overall care provided.
Josh Graham: I called to check when my partner would be ready as I was concerned, without putting me on hold she asked her colleague “how long to that black girl is ready”?
Levent Guney: I am grateful for the very professional and caring service from the doctor and the friendly staff.

nadal raajal: Got my Grandfather aborted today, he told us he didn't want to go but we could not afford him so we aborted him.
Kusum Rishi: Be prepared to wait for 2-2.5 hrs before you will be seen by nurse/doctor
Matthew Thorn: The appointment and care I received on the day was great, post surgery very little pain, however, I had to have a post vasectomy test 3 months after the surgery which cannot be dropped of at just any pathology place. I am now 6 weeks post that test and I can't get the results from MSI. You're on hold for at least 20 minutes every time and the people answering the call don't know how to get results.
joshua finauvala: Don’t kill your baby! If you need support reach out to me! Save your babies life!!!
Jade Lipscombe: All lovely kind accommodating staff. With a special mention to Nurse Stephanie for her Amazing bedside manner- I was acting all crazy and emotional but you put my mind at ease. You are wonderful at what you do and worth your weight in gold I can't thankyou enough 🙂
Mingxi Lewis-Hou: Excellent experience from beginning to end, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who were thorough and helpful at every step. The space also felt safe and welcoming, and plenty of time was allowed for recovery post-procedure.
Rebecca: All the staff are very friendly and professional. Dr Donna is amazing and looks after her patients very well. The nurses are also caring and made sure I was good before I left the clinic.
Emily G: Please consider relaxing your covid 19 rules around not allowing a support person to wait in the clinic, especially for a procedure that is so upsetting for a lot of women. This was a very traumatic and emotional day for me and I’m sure many others, crying in a waiting room alone and waiting for 2 hours before you’re even seen. It is 2022 and even emergency departments at hospitals allow visitors.
Comms: Don’t trust this place. Bad service and not responsible.
Rachael Brook: I waited over two hours to be seen by anyone.. I'm only not rating this a 1 because the ladies are nice.
Joanna Jackson: Every single member of staff i came into contact with last saturday were nothing short of caring and understanding, professional and kind. The male anesthetist in particular was amazing and so supportive. Yes there was a bit of a wait but nothing I wasn't already advised of when booking an appointment. But thank you for making a horrible situation so much better !
Alena Thomson: Absolutely pathetic... travel over 4 hrs for a first booked appointment. Put other people through first and keep me waiting. Staff are rude and ignorantWould not recommend
Susie Bowen: These people are so amazing !Professional and personalSupportiveNo matter your situation they really do care
Stacey Anderson: I had a medical termination last month, this month I went to hospital with huge amount of blood loss and at least 10cm blood clots. I ended up having a DNC as there was product left over. I spent 3 days in hospital, away from my 6month old and 9 year old and I wasnt allowed to see them cause of covid restrictions, which is understandable. On the day of the termination I was ready to go in and the guy who put me off to sleep told me he was tired, after I said hi how are you. Incompetent,he shouldn't have been on that day. I have put in a complaint and waiting on a call. DISGUSTING,never again
Greg Coorey: Highly recommend their services. So professional, so friendly and much much better than i expected.
Vivian Su: I've been here before and had pain free surgery but this time it hurt when Dr. Phillip Goldstone replaced my contraception as he was putting the anesthetic needle in it hurt whilst doing so and then half way through he had to put the aesthetic needle inand again it hurt.. then he had to put 2 bandages and a compression bandage (normally just 1 bandage and he had to scurry round to look for scissorsto cut the compressionbandage).. my arm was bruised and hurting as well as my emotions. I just asked Dr. Phillip Goldstone "Is there temporary contraception for men?" He replied "No, coz men don't get pregnant and they don't like it".. At that moment i was wondering if he actually was a doctor! No respect! On the other note, a nurse was friendly and reassuring telling me the doctor will come back in a sec. The receptionists were friendly over the phone and in person but on the phone they said it can be bulk billed then in person they said it can't (pretty sure it was different receptionist) and I wish they told me earlier that it'd be a 2hr wait before they asked me to pay.Last time, I had a male doctor replace my contraception it was fine.. Maybe due ro lockdow n some of them have their bad days, need a holiday, see a psychologist, hangry or that's just the way they are.. But please, some of them need to be more professional and people don't want bad experiences.
Kumar Gupta: I like to say Big Thank to Dr Matthew Masterson for doing a painless surgery, surprisingly easier then taking a Covid Vaccine. It was a Amazing experience. Thank you to all Nurses and other Team at Marie Stops for providing wonderful service.
Lynette: The ladies at the counter were absolutely wonderful, warm and welcoming. Made me feel like I was in a safe space which was amazing. First nurse I seen was extremely patient and kind at explaining everything and educating me on different birth control. Second nurse I seen was amazing and patient during the procedure, helped calm me down and had some giggles. What made my experience overall the best was the 2 ladies that greeted me in the procedure room. They held my hand during the procedure, reassured me everything is okay and was just there like a support person which I think is amazing. Thankyou guys for making something I was terrified of a comforting experience. Couldn't have picked a better place.. 💙💙
m m.: Very professional staff. They know very well about their jobs. Special thanks to Dr. Kevin, Andrian, Sara, Carly and Ayen.
Keval Donga: It is the worst treatment providers. No result only high charges.
April Shedden: Fit me in for my procedure in a timely manner, provided me with all the information before and on the day every interaction was pleasant and professional. First nurse I spoke with was very matter of fact and procedural which was fine and every one after her was very warm and kind.
