Maggie's Rescue Cooperative: what do users think?
Janice Rees: Very helpfull
George James: Owner is rude and discriminate.
lukasz sempka: Such great care for awaiting furry babies
Erin Orchard: My husband and I have been Maggie’s Rescue foster carers for almost a year and it has brought so much joy into our lives. There is no better feeling than seeing a foster baby find their forever family. The organisation staff are some of the most kind hearted and caring individuals and the community they have created is a reflection of this. I can’t recommend Maggie’s Rescue enough ❤️
Kritika Kaldor: First puppy school for our shy pup. We had a good experience here and so did the pup. We are looking forward to joining more puppy classes :)
Scot Barker: Great and helpful staff
Donna Cain: In my opinion Maggie's is Sydney's best animal rescue organisation and deserves your donations and support. Dogs and cats go to loving foster homes while waiting to be adopted. Fosters are given the support of vetcare and dog training if required. To save more lives and and accept more animals that are being surrendered to be fostered, please consider donating to Maggie's.
Murat & Ennur Kilic: Wonderful bunch of people, doing selfless and fantastic work every day. Thank you forever.
Sarah Summers: Helpful about giving you other places you can contact if you need to surrender animals. They're at full capacity with animals at the moment though, and have been for a while
Laura Chuck: Excellent people who run this for the better of dogs life. Thanks for being awesome
Shari Compton: They were great and extremely supportive.
Bae Johnson: Yummy food
martin leslie: Good work done here
sniper Gannon: No1 ever get bk u
teresa eleter: Positive:Professionalism
Jamie Kirkland: Couldn't find what I was after but it was a lovely website.
Josip Buric: Rescue your next family pet
Gary Jeffrey: Looking for a rescue dog, I was emailed back to tell me one was adopted even before I applied, great feedback
Alyce Cannon: Amazing organisation that really cares about the animals they rescue and where they get homed!
Jeff Nock: Amazing rescue organisation!
Andrew Fisher: Love the work that Maggie's rescue do!!!!

Monika's DoggieRescue: what do users think?
ruby: walked quite a few of their doggies always a pleasure
Swati Jadhav: I always have a good experience going there
chuang jack: The other day, due to family reasons, I wanted to send my dog to Monika's place. After providing the necessary information and paying $400, I reconsidered my decision the following day and chose to continue taking care of my dog myself. I had to apologize and request a refund from Monika, but she informed me that she would not issue any refund and that the money would be treated as a donation instead. I found this very confusing. I admit that my decision to change my mind may have been a mistake, but it is not a reason not to issue a refund. Moreover, I sensed a change in her attitude since I expressed my desire to have a refund. I am grateful that I did not send my dog to her place in the end.
Karen Fieldus: Nothing but a nightmare. This enterprise should be shut down. They advertise dogs that need rehoming, but won't give them to decent people who can provide good homes. Instead these poor bloody animals are contained in her concrete box and subjected to her awful character. My application was scrutinised because I have a job and go to work. Next she scrutinised the age of my 13 year old dog who is desperate for a friend. The following is a comment I made on her Facebook page in regards to Dotti. The post was removed and I was blocked! Grow up Monika!Dottie would have had a lovely life with me but I was dismissed because I'm a working nurse...... and my existing dog is a spritely 13.Being a dog owner for the last 25 years of my life, I was rejected because Dotti is anxious. Apparently no one knows what to do with an anxious dog except for Monika!I have a massive heart for animals and Dotti was going to be my first adoption.Unfortunately Monika is nothing but a negative, judgemental, know it all.... of nothing. This experience has turned me off adoption agencies for good.I feel so sorry for these animals that have the chance to live in good homes and enjoy life...... instead they are trapped in Monikas concrete boxes.I will be spreading the word of this disgusting attitude and practice.
Beatrice Snow: I used to come here every weekend before I got my dog. People here are amazing - thank you for all your hard work!! Dogs here are such gentle souls, please come walk them! It's worth every second you're there! Most difficult thing is to not fall in love with all of them
Ray Shore: I was left very confused after visiting this facility. This organisation appears to have no interest in adopting out dogs to genuine, responsible families. This organisation is a walking talking contradiction. The owner makes you jump through hopes and basically beg to get a dog. Only she can decide if you are worthy of a rescue dog. When you think you have done everything humanely possible out comes another excuse. Favourite quote of Monika’s is come back next week for another visit. This is to the detriment of the rescue dog which lives in sub standard conditions exposed to the elements when they could be in a loving home. In a nutshell this charitable organisation discourages people from adopting rescue dogs and is only run to get donations and inflate the ego of its unqualified founder. I feel sorry for the dogs
Jennifer Oliver: So friendly And welcoming, we took Anna for a walk and loved it, can't wait for the next time.
Abhishek M (Abbie): Amazing to be back and meet my furry friends after 1.5 years… miss them so much
Håvard Frøiland: We where looking for a dog to adopt. I took the time to write an application with pictures. Only gotten an automated email about them receiving the application.
S R: Great experience walking the doggies. The only thing is they only allow to walk in direct sunlight at 11am-2pm on the concrete.. I think that the pace was very hot that many of the dogs do not enjoy walking.I will still go back :)
JC 24: Amazing experience for dog lovers. Not just the dogs, great people all around.
Keith Parker: They are doing a fantastic job. Saving all those poor doggies. Good onya.
Marley Mahe: My partner and I felt we were judged immediately especially my partner due his disability still allowing us to take the dog to the park for a couple of hrs and loving her and wanted to take her home using quirks from the time we got there my partner and I were disappointed and went home feeling hurt and angry
Aoife Carron: I went here when I heard about the dog walking you PAY $20 to do. I paid it, but knowing what I know now, I shouldn't have. Apparently years of experience with animals does not save you from the gatekeeping and condescension. They have beautiful dogs but anytime I think of visiting again I can't get past the way they speak to people. I overheard staff talking about being short on volunteers for a public holiday and I told them I was available and experienced, and their tone completely changed and they shut me down straight away. I hope they are happy with themselves hoarding animals in terrible conditions.
genevieve phillips: Volunteers & doggies were great.Monika on the other hand ...
Dunluchyn: The website is useful
Takingstock Health & Fitness: I’ve visited a number of times to walk dogs, getting involved here is simply and fairly easy. Dogs are given to you to walk based on your look (I’m a strong guy so keep being given the biggest dogs they had). No real insight as to the walkers exp or personalities.I spoke to staff about adopting a dog, due to my living in an apartment I was told in no uncertain terms I could only adopt a dog that was “apartment suitable” based on Monika decision.I am unaware of if she holds any qualifications on dog behaviour or training, I would have to question this. I agree dogs needs to be suitable to potential owners, however I have an active lifestyle so said dog would be out with me 80% of the day. I was also told most dogs she has don’t like MEN, they are aggressive and many have issue biting and would not be suitable for dog parks and walking in public.I sense there is more interest to be seen as a dog saviour and collecting your money and donations than to actually adopting out dogs as many newsletters continue to have the same dogs for years who can’t seem to be rehomed, so again I’d question if any training is being done to help these dogs.
Sunita Mizar: Monika's is a no kill shelter. You can volunteer to walk the dogs (Sundays are popular days) and it's a great way to be involved. Everyone working there is friendly and always has a smile at the ready. And you can see that the animals are treated well. Their FB page has updates on the rescues and adoption ready dogs/cats.
S K: I adopted our beautiful Max from Monika’s . Process was quite simple, I asked to see 2 dogs to see who will best fit with our little Pomeranian via questionnaire. Monika called me the next day and we talked about everything. Meeting was set up for Saturday, we met both and fell in love with Max . He is most beautiful addition to our family.People have said here a lot about having big houses or finances to get from Monika but I don’t think that’s completely true. The thing is I live in apartment and Monika didn’t hold that against us .We spent the day there and only saw volunteers and workers doing their best for these beautiful creatures. Does anyone know that Monika’s is not funded by any government programs. It’s all on donations. How many of us are volunteering and donating ?Yes we waited to see our dogs and spent a lot of time there and realised the jobs these volunteers at Monika’s are doing is not easy .I would like people to understand finances are important when we are adopting. My Pom got sick in middle of night and was 3 days in hospital with a bill of over 7k that I had to pay immediately. Plus the ongoing costs for her . So If Monika is being strict about finances it makes sense .At least when the dogs are with her she looks after all their vet bills , gets surgeries done .So Monika’s vetting process needs to be strict so that she can give best homes to these babies .Thanks Again Monika’s for beautiful work you all are doing .
Manly Art & Framing: Thank you very much for a very special adopting experience. Team who helped us with the process were all very friendly and warm. Our cats Dash & Dart are awesome.
Sandra Sharpe: Wonderful place of dogs and cats who need a home.Great place to help, by volunteering.

RSPCA NSW Sydney Shelter: what do users think?
Margot Burgess: I couldn't be happier with all the staff .so helpful with our beautiful new baby blaczThankyou so much
Ockerus Jones: Picked up a cat was dope
South Australia: Disappointing to see an Officer "break & entry".We visioned this transgressions.
Nic Jones: Adopted my awesome Cat tiny, I'm also a volunteer foster carer. Everyone should support the RSPCA
Lorraine: Had to surrender 2 little kitties I had found and bottle fed for 3wks. I couldn't keep them. Staff were supportive.
Katto G: Very caring compassionate staff!Staff made my experience with my pet so much easier!
Jacob Ayoub: Great shelter located in Sydney. The new buildings and facilities are great a huge upgrade. Highly recommend adopting an animal!
mariam taleb: Shelter is great
Goran Kirkovski: Great place. Adopt a pet!
Megan Boulais: Lovely lady’s at front reception but wouldn’t say it about the man behind counter with long brown hair extremely rude.
sanober hyder: We took an injured bird there overnight and they were very good
Adriana Roman: Staff were so beautiful, everything was so clean and very well organised but the huge one for me was how friendly, patient and kind all the staff were
Jessica Kirkovska: Lots of animals, would be better if there were smaller dogs because they were all big but I think they already got adopted
Peter L: New Centre. Greatly improvedLovely staff
Eva Dabrowski: Clean and professional. Staff are always helpful and respected both my dog and I.
Regina Buenaventura-Alawadhi: My husband and I had a wonderful experience adopting an adult cat last week. After our beloved first cat passed, we were looking for a cat with similar temperament : affectionate and gentle. We had mentioned this to the staff, and our new cat is exactly what we needed. Couldn't be happier. The facilities are well-maintained, and the staff are passionate about what they do. The staff were also very helpful and forthcoming in answering any questions we had regarding each cat's condition and needs. The whole process was smooth and streamlined. The process, including viewing different cats and meeting them, took about an hour. Please consider adopting and supporting this lovely organisation. ❤️
Helen Luu: I came here 6 years ago to adopt a kitten and back again vaccination for my new kitten. I’m so amazed how the place has changed so much, bigger, nicer looking buildings just like a hotel for the cats to stay with lots of toys. However, the animals still need lots support and a sweet home, I wish I can take all of them home.
Omar Jebara: Amazing animal welfare clean and hygienic facility and great customer service.
Charlie M: Taking care of what some fail to do
Neneveh Mansour: Disgusting inhumane people!!!! I surrendered my healthy dog less than 2 months ago and they killed him recently probably because he was an American Staffy. He had no medical conditions and has never ever ever ever been aggressive to any animal or person. You ruined him and then you killed him. No one surrender their animals here!!! Do not give these people money!!!!
David sandomierski: Clean and modern facility. 👌
