Julian Ashton Art School: what do users think?
John Reynolds: Great place for art lovers
phil went: A most extraordinary place dedicated to helping people from all walks and ages acquire real, technical skill, all at their own pace. Recently accredited by the Art Renewal Centre, this school is up there with international realist ateliers. The teachers are contemporary artists who have come through the school themselves, winning major art prizes and love imparting their extensive knowledge to students, whether an absolute beginner or an advanced student.
Anton Chistiakov: Nice collection of casts and studio .
Christle: Most of the time its self guided
Laura Gardner: I joined Rod Wong's beginners class. He's a great teacher and the whole class has a great atmosphere.
Paulina Kazarinov: This is the best institution in Australia that teaches Traditional Realist Academic Painting and Drawing. The school is providing a supportive, friendly and encouraging environment for all level of students.Being a current student at Julian Ashton Art School for the last 5 years (with intention to continue and broaden my education for at least two additional years) I must stress that for the greatest benefit, a person who is considering starting the art education here, has to be prepared for at least 3 - 4 years of full time studies or equivalent. Self motivation, dedication and practice outside the school are all just as important in achieving excellence and result.
Elizabeth Austin: I love this school! It has the best, most experienced teachers and they all have the ability to help you truly learn to paint and draw - and achieve the kind of skills you initially might think are beyond you. People come from far and wide because of these rare gems.
stacey still: Very disappointing. No encouragement, teacher was not supportive of beginners. Other students felt the same. Waste of money.
Nada DeCat: If you want to paint and learn painting techniques - this is the only place to go in Australia.Sure, you can go to Uni and they will teach you concepts, and you can be a professional painter - but if you are anything like me, you'd be sitting there thinking to yourself why figures in the painting look SO STUPID when you had no formal training.Painting is a DOING thing as well as a THINKING THING. Unfortunate that technique and actually MAKING the painting is not a thing anymore in Australia. But this place is keeping it alive. My suggestion - go in, do intensive study, and get out as fast as you can so you can develop your own afterwards. You dont want to get stuck in techniques either - as contemporary painters, we need concepts, philosophy, and other stuff as well. its a lot of ask for an occupation that will have you eat potatoes, and you'd be out of luck if you arent WHITE or MALE because inevitably, the favour will go there regardless of any path you take in visual art. Suppose it's improved a bit since the 50's but not by much.If you are looking for career, to buy new car, a house, and retirement monies, I suggest getting into accounting - capitalism and having high ideals/morals/goals does not go together.Having said that - if you want to take few classes for fun, this is certainly the place as well. Located in beautiful ROCKS with places for drinks, eats, and Julian Ashton space is super romantic. You will be working on Heritage listed easels, casts, and skeletons.ps. I often write on my phone, so pls excuse my rant

Art Class Sydney: what do users think?
Catherine Masson: This is my second workshop with Ochre and I keep learning. Ochre covered the fundamentals on how to paint water, then it was time to paint our own "master piece". I hardly recommend Ochre's workshops.
Maya de Veaux: I have attended many one day workshops. It is a great workshops with different topic each month . I have learnt so many things from a wonderful teacher Ochre in the nice spacious venue. Highly recommend this one day workshops.Maya
Sabrine Elk: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI've been doing the painting and drawing classes for a year now and love them! My drawing and painting skills have massively improved since starting. Ochre is a wonderful tutor and really helps you push past what you think you're capable of. Highly recommend her classes.
Claire Peng: I have been following Ochre for a year now. She is a great teacher and I have learnt a lot from her! She cares a lot about her students too! I am really grateful for all of that !
Tara Murphy: Really enjoyed my time in the Thursday night class! Ochre is a lovely teacher. The vibe is communal, relaxed and encouraging. Perfect for beginners or people with experience.
Kristin Parsons: Ochre is a dedicated teacher who taught me how to mix a palette and to really look.
Bonny Parkinson: I've been attending Ochre's art classes for a few years now. Over this time I've learnt so much about colour and composition. She's challenged me and encouraged me, and she always has something positive to say about everyone's work. My painting has significantly improved, and I enjoy it more too, thanks to Ochre.
Lynnette Dorn: In Ochre's art class I've learnt to observe, to appreciate perspective and composition and to experiment with texture and colour. I've gone from nervous novice to confident drawer. The classes are informative, fun, creative and challenging. It's why I keep coming back term after term.
Matt AndClaire88: Very fun to do with a company. Me and my wife enjoyed it thoroughly.
Kaisa May: Gabrielle is the best teacher, motivator, & inspiration! I never knew I could gain so much knowledge, understanding and passion for art as I have from Gabrielle. Three years of classes and still going strong. Gabrielle is the voice in my head now when I am painting.
Francesca Trocheif: I had never painted until I started at Art Class Sydney. I've just enrolled in my 2nd term. I'm loving the sharing of ideas, learning of techniques, genuine support & encouragement. So much fun and such surprising results for a novice artist. Thanks Gabrielle & Polly
ellen: This year I was looking to further develope my painting skills in both oils and acrylic and came across Art Class Sydney, lead by professional painter Gabrielle Jones. I signed up for 6 sessions course which is incredibly great value. Gabrielle has not just been very informative by covering the crusial elements of painting but made the experience fun and engaging. I look forward to the classes and experimenting with new techniques. All in all highly recommended and will take your painting to a whole new level something no Youtube tutorial can offer.
Richard Walker: I have been attending Art Class Sydney for three years now. I have learnt so much from Gabrielle. She is very knowledgable and generous. I love going to the classes, everyone is very encouraging and inclusive. My painting has improved. I have learnt about colour mixing, artists' styles and art practice. Highly recommended.
Pamela Sandberg: I have been attending Art Class Sydney for a number of years now and find the classes very informative, stimulating and fun. The classes have a relaxed atmosphere with students having varying interests and levels of experience. Gabrielle is very generous with her knowledge and will step you through painting techniques and theory using creative exercises. Her knowledge of the art scene, keen eye and positive energy encourages you to experiment, develop your skills and gain confidence, whether your focus is abstract or realism, acrylic or oil painting. Thanks Gabrielle!
j thorpe: Gabrielle's classes are wonderful - she is not only very knowledgeable and generous with her knowledge, but somehow she manages to know and then encourage each of our individual styles. We don't all end up painting the same picture - far from it. The classes are fun and they've brought me back to trusting my vision.
Suzanne Fredericks: Gabrielle Jones has provided a safe place to learn and experiment. I have found her classes invaluable as a late starter in oil painting. Her guidance is intuitive and supportive and the atmosphere is one of camaraderie.
Janice Ralph: I have been going to classes at Art Class Sydney for nearly two years and love it! My skills, knowledge and art appreciation has improved dramatically over this period. Gabrielle varies the classes to ensure that they are challenging for all levels. Also, I have met and made great friends through the class with similar interests. I would highly recommend attending classes if you have an interest in broadening your art skills.
Duncan Peacocke: I have been doing Thursday nights now for a couple of years and always find them informative and fun! The classes can be as structured or unstructured as you like and Gabrielle is always on hand to offer advice and assistance. I like the approach which though informal has lots of interesting exercises to get the creative juices flowing. My artwork has improved heaps since going to the glasses even though I was a virtual novice at the start. There is also the chance to meet and see the work other students produce which is also fun. Thoroughly recommend these classes.
jenny graham: I have found these classes really fun, with plenty of support and encouragement with my art.

Sydney Art School - Hornsby Studio: what do users think?
Nic Fulton: Sydney Art School is on the northern edge of the metro area and it may make you think it isn't real. But the quality of teachers and facilities is amazing with an inclusive and welcoming feel. Adult and children classes in sculpture, painting and illustration. Wonderful.
Jacqui Robinson: Thankyou to Samantha and Sydney Art school. My daughter has attended the HSC classes during her senior years. She really enjoyed the classes , the theory challenged her and provided a great deal of support to get through her HSC including sound practical tips for her major works achieving a great result of a band 6 in art.
Diamond Wang: As age 48, I’ve never thought I could draw and paint one day . Art is too hard to learn I thought,, but Sydney Art School have changed my point , They gave me a good function while building up my conference. In a year of time my art skill was improved massively. I posted my art works on my social media, all my friends and families were so surprised how good I am with arts now , they all asked me where and when did I learn , and I told them in Sydney Art School, they have got the best professional team , they are the best . As I’ve got the skill , now I can draw and paint whatever I like . I really enjoying the journey being a artist . If I can learn it fast everyone can learn it fast, of course with Sydney Art School ‘s helps . Thank You so much Sydney Art School.DIAMOND WANG
God Emperor of Mankind: Thanks for teaching me the how to paint not just on Warhammer models but on canvas. Thanks, Joe and Ms Varry
Mayke Waddell: I enjoyed attending the beginners’ watercolour painting class. Krista is a very talented watercolour artist & teacher who is happy to share her tips and tricks in doing variety of paintings. I learned to mix colours, using various strokes and applying shadows, we get to paint nature, landscape scene and still life composition. Highly recommend.
martyn 055: Not so impressive for beginners. They don’t teach kids the basics of painting such as brush selection, strokes and positioning. Not worth it. Do your research before investing your money.
Olivia Farag: Positive:Communication,Quality,ValueSydney Art School makes drawing accessible for all levels of skills and abilities. The life drawing classes in particular are engaging and inspiring with a focus on achieving form and fluidity rather than a rigid approach to drawing. Students are friendly and space is well laid out and well equipped with easels.
Vidhya Khotele: Its an excellent coaching center with innovative ideas!!
Jessica Ashpole: My time at Sydney art school has been amazing. The tutors are so insightful and I have learnt so much!
Eric Guo: Definitely the best art school in Sydney, my daughter’s drawing skill improved dramatically after 3 terms here.

Art Est: what do users think?
current user: Used to be the 'go to' art venue for life drawing. Now since they moved none to speak of. Pity. Have to look elsewhere.
Wendy Au: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI genuinely enjoy the 'teen term classes', it has improved my art skills vastly :)
Son Han: The school ambience looks good but the teachers for 5 year-olds are very lacklustre
Elham Monavari: Critical:Communication,ValueI did a pottery class last year. Was unable to retrieve my pieces due to the Covid shut down and they have since thrown them out. Have tried contacting them numerous times and left messages with a promise that someone will call me back. Nobody has. It's been a really disappointing and expensive experience. Won't be going back.
Tammy Lim: Critical:Communication,Professionalism
Sally Kneen: Art Est is an amazing Art School in Leichhardt. I am in my second term of ceramics and absolutely love it. I have always wanted to try my hand at being a potter and now I am. The school is lovely, small intimate classes, the teachers are extremely knowledgable and provide endless support. I would highly recommend to anyone who would like to try their hand at potting. It is definitely a skill, I am not sure I will ever master but I am loving the ride!
Ryan Fisher: My 6yo and 7yo attended their school holiday class and loved it!
Sunita Mizar: Great art school, with a varied selection of after school and weekend term art classes for kids from the age of 5. Cartoons, ceramics, etc are also offered for the older kids and adults. Plenty of adult classes available as well. Limited free parking outside the art studio. Easily accessible by LR as well. Disabled access for entrance and parking. Website is very informative.
Sam Mcnair: Super fun place to learn and to teach. Kids and adults art classes: Awesome.

Sydney Art School - Baulkham Hills Studio: what do users think?
Mahtab Karbalaei: Poor customer service and very unfriendly and disorganised.
Mary Phillips: I’m an budding artist and attended classes with Mr Matthew Weatherstone. He’s an amazing artist and a very patient teacher. He definitely taught me the tricks and tips that improved my skills. I will go back to learn more from him and the school is also conveniently placed for all the hills shire residents. The classes cater to students at all levels of learning
Lynda Finch: I have learned so much over the 4 years. I had never picked up a paint brush before but now are getting compliments about my painting. The different teachers I have had, have all been easy to understand and encouraging. I have a lot of fun each week.
Josephine Lau: Great place and teachers really welcoming
Stuart Mcdougall: Good as usual
Narelle Hanna: Christina is a remarkable teacher! Love her classes
troit is here: 11/10 would be paint again
Bharat Marwaha: Great little place to learn and refine art skills for kids and adults, friendly staff and good teachers!!
Jane Kim: Poor customer service and very unfriendly
Lu LI: Excellent tutoring for kids. My daughter loves all her teachers here.
Mila Kasby: I enrolled in the 'Painting for Beginners' class with Christina a year ago and have learnt so much while also having a lot of fun.I had never painted before and despite doing Art for the HSC had not been taught any of the principles, techniques or even 'how to see' as we are currently being taught (what I could have achieved at HSC level if I had professional tuition like this would have been so much better!)I have been to several other art courses/ classes elsewhere in the past few years and they are not nearly as structured or helpful as this class is.Christina is always encouraging while offering great guidance on how to improve and it is refreshing to learn from someone so passionate and talented. The classes are also flexible with students able to work through learning exercises from still life or to work on a project of their own choosing. I am enrolling in 2 classes next term so I can enjoy a whole day of art and spoil myself! Thanks Christina and Sydney Art School :)
Lisa Shaw: I commenced the Absolute Beginners painting class at Baulkham Hills with tutor Christina a year ago as an Absolute Beginner not having ever held a paint brush or ever mixed a colour. Still there learning, I am now enjoying creating my landscape paintings and have an understanding of how to start a painting, identify the tones and build the layers up, unify my painting with colour, interest and composition, Colour and how to get out of trouble spots, tone, brush strokes, brush care, some oil painting techniques and exposure to some techniques of Artists. The friendly classes are always such a pleasure to attend with the talented Christina and in addition to the mix of structured lessons and hands on teaching, I have learnt so much also by watching her paint and share her years of practice and study knowledge with the class in a fun and nurturing way.Christina creates a lovely, encouraging environment to introduce everyone to painting in whatever subject you choose and whatever level you are at. The classes are small and relaxed and students are all starting out together so it’s always welcoming.
Stephen Meaney: I have attended the beginners and portrait class many times and it is a brilliant way to be introduced to art with a professional and master artist as a tutor(apple), with an unrivalled understanding of colours and technique. I have learnt so much and have gained unparreled experience in every lesson, with the environment being incredibly welcoming and exciting. The level of professionalism in the staff working for the school(Helen) is outstanding and are very willing to answer any questions you may have regarding the classes and any queries. My experience with this art school has enabled me to not only grow as a person, but to experience the wonders and relaxation that art has brought. I highly recommend this school for any that are interested in art.
Jessica Ashpole: Would recommend to anyone who is an absolute bigger or experienced artist - tutors cater for all levels of experience! Truly an incredible art school!
Aniket Sharma: Very good instructors. The teachers are professionals. There is a lot of 1:1 time as the class sizes are small (8 people max). Classes usually run for 2 hrs. I took three classes and I would still be going if other commitments didn't get in the way. I highly recommend this place!

Waverley Woollahra Art School: what do users think?
John Bygrave: Beautiful building and rooms for things arty. Wife really enjoys (Catherine's) ceramic courses.
Jan Baillie: Thankyou Amanda Doctor for your most enjoyable Watercolour Workshop- Turning Holiday pictures into W/Colour Paintings. I learnt much in a relaxed but instructive atmosphere. You gave me confidence to return to painting. I appreciated the small class. Thank you. Jan
Gary Spero: The school is fantastic. Great class held by Robert. Super knowledgeable and extremely friendly.
Anna Lavdaras: A wonderful creative environment that I look forward to visiting each week.
Vera Roshchina: I have started taking beginner oil painting classes with Kevin McKay in 2022.Every class is buit on working through a foundational topic. We first get a theoretical explanation, often accompanied with helpful handouts, then we do painting exercises that help us understand the topic better and to fix misconceptions. Kevin also uses examples of well-known artworks to demonstrate how artists use these basic ideas and techniques in their paintings.Kevin is a highly accomplished artist, and he is very generous and patient answering questions about the whole creative process, and how art is actually made. Also the class has a very nice atmosphere, relaxed and very friendly. I always look forward to seeing everyone again on Tuesday nights.
Lorraine Sullivan: This is a great way to get into drawing and stay there.Phillipa has so much knowledge and enthusiasm for everyone in the class. She provides the basic but also the heart and joy that are why we make art.
Kin Kwok Tsang: It was the Woollahra Waverley art school where I began to learn to paint and to draw. Because of the good grounding I had here, I was able to go to the National Art School. I have come back here to learn more skills. Woollahra Waverley has the best teachers.
Laura Jankelson: 20 years ago, after migrating to Aus from SAfrica, I signed up for Ceramics classes at WWAS. My transition to a new country was made easier by being welcomed by my tutors and the diverse community of my fellow learners. Since then, I have grown to love the school, watched many come and go. I love my sessions and the space and freedom I am given to be myself and develop my art. Thx to all for the privilege of being able to work and grow into a Ceramic artist.
Michael Leibowitz: Mixed media is a magical mystery tour that takes you to places that you could never have imagined, even in your wildest dreams! I have been practising mixed media at Waverley Woolhara Art School (WWAS) for nearly a decade. I need a group experience as solitary art practice can be too inwards turning. For me, mixed media has been a source of artistic renewal and growth, all in a friendly and supportive environment.
Monica Heinrich: Amanda is a great teacher, shows by example but also leaves space for individual experimentation and learning.
Franziska Zuercher: The skateboarding class was very good and I'd like to come back for another class. Luca was great. thank you, Sebastian
Keith McNaughton: Our kids have joined a number of programs with Yaeli and WWAS and they have all been outstanding sessions. The teaching has been amazing - with the sessions thoughtfully put together, as well as being entertaining the kids learnt heaps - Thanks!
Saba Design: Neve absolutely loved her first experience with pottery classes on her school holiday. We will be doing painting next week. Definitely we will be back, especially it’s around the corner from our home.
k4: Too small place need some space
shai de vletter-sont: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Chris Maltby: Going for more than 50 years, this community run art school is a cooperative of artists and students. It has a wide range of courses in the fine arts at reasonable prices.

Sydney Art Space: what do users think?
Teresa Eastwood: Positive:CommunicationLooking forward to returning to face to face instruction , but Christine has been amazing at keeping classes going on line , lifting spirits and connection people through art.
John Eustace: Positive:Quality
Anne Palmer: Great fun place to hang out and create in with like-minded people. I’ve been doing Christine and Nik’s workshops on and off for years.
Caroline Jumpertz: Sydney Art Space is a great place for workshops and / or regular weekly classes: the teaching is first rate, the other students are a diverse and interesting bunch, and the prices are very reasonable given the high quality of the instruction. Highly recommended - a real hidden jewel in the Northern Beaches. So thrilled I discovered it when I moved to the area a few years back.
Cathy Cull: I've been a student of Christine's for five years, and currently attend her wonderful sculpture lifeclass at Sydney Art Space.Christine is a truly inspiring teacher, with a vast set of skills, and an incredible depth of knowledge which she imparts with sensitivity and patience, and a lovely sense of humour. She has created a really nurturing artists space, where we learn so much, and have lots of fun on the creative journey!Christine will expertly guide you through the sculpture process, which can be challenging, but ultimately so rewarding.I thoroughly recommend Sydney Art Space.
Victoria Norman: I began sculpting with Christine about 12 years ago I think. Christine is that perfect blend of mentor/teacher. Always nurturing and always gently pushing you to more. I still remember when I first started and was so nervous and very quickly, Chris, and her students at the time (many of which are still with her) made me feel so welcome and and included. Fair to say that I count Chris now as a good friend, so in transparency as regards this review I feel I should say that, but as I write, I would say that most of her students would feel the same. I have now rented part of Chris's space in Mona Vale and have opened a store selling both my work and others. Without Chris's inspiration and confidence in my abilities I very much doubt that this would have happened or that I would have the self belief or ability to sell my own work. As you can see I highly recommend Sydney Art Space as a venue and know those that teach here under Christine's guidance all embody the values that Christine promotes.
Alex Hollis: I attended Christine's sculpting classes whilst going through the HSC. Christine helped me in creating a major work for my Art subject. Throughout the process she was patient and incredibly supportive. I had never sculpted before and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. She also managed to seamlessly move between the different level of skill that each student had. Had lots of fun and would definitely do another class in the future.
Jenny Murphy: I have taken several classes with Christine Simpson at Sydney Artspace without any prior experience with sculpting or art. Christine taught, encouraged and supported me all the way. It never mattered that I had no experience. She is an excellent teacher and I look forward to my classes with her.
threephasemains: Having never done any art before I was definitely nervous about taking on sculpting. Now in to my third term I feel so fortunate to have found Christine and the wonderful art community in the heart of Mona Vale. Christine has been nothing but supportive and patient and a brilliant communicator. I would highly recommend Sydney Art Space.Dave Young
Cherry Corr: I've attended many classes and workshops at Sydney Art Space and always found it to be a nurturing learning environment with fabulous tutors. Christine is a brilliant sculpture teacher who has taught and mentored me for 15yrs. She always generously shares her knowledge and passion for the arts, making the creative process an exciting journey of discovery for all.
Christine Hopton: Thoroughly enjoying the experience of learning new techniques in a relaxed group atmosphere with an experienced teacher..highly recommend all to try a class at the Sydney Art Space
Phil Keyes: Christine is the most amazing ART teacher I have ever had in my 35+ years of art practice, workshops ,TAFE & University Courses! She is an incredible woman who is completely in tune with her work practice and the needs and ambitions of her many students. She creates a welcoming ambiance and attracts many students from professional teachers to medical practitioners! Her knowledge, experience and love of the arts becomes apparent the moment you walk into a class. I have been a student now with Christine for over 8 years and value every second I spend with her. She has supported my art practice, helped me develop my skills and passion for all things arty! She has encouraged me to sell, exhibit my work and be involved in the sculpture community. She is a gentle soul who gives everything to her students. Christina Ambrose-Keyes
Sheila Scott: My special place for ME time. Christine is a fabulous teacher and mentor. I have learnt so much from her - patience being the most importance.
Beth O’Driscoll: Christine Simpson brings tomind a quote I once heard, "if you have one great teacher in your lifetime it can change your direction". I've had two, my singer teacher, Prof Heinrich Phillipsborn many years ago and Christine Simpson. I couldn't believe my luck to find someone the calibre of Christine within walking distance of my home. A great sculptor herself, she has introduced me to the love of sculpture and it's her passion for passing on her valuable knowledge that creates such a warm, beautiful studio environment for all of us, her students. Bravo Christine! You're a gem!
Amanda Barnes: Christine is a tireless supporter of the arts and is beyond generous with her time and with sharing her broad range of expertise. As a sculpture student I have learnt to put aside my nervousness about using an entirely new medium and have gained confidence in the wisdom of my hands. After only one and a half terms I have learnt to love with a passion the rigour, fluidity and joy of sculpting. My heartfelt thanks for sharing your passion Christine.
Catherine Federici: I found the teacher, Christine, rude and her passive aggressive behaviour made for a very unpleasant experience. If you are looking for a supportive and creative experience where you can be nurtured through a process, I would NOT recommend Sydney Art Space.Sorry to give a business such a negative review.

Art Box Workshops: what do users think?
Lisa Butler Beatty: My daughter has really enjoyed the various art box workshops - both school holiday and weekly term classes. The workshops explore different aspects of painting, drawing and modelling and there is always an impressive piece of art to bring home at the end. The small group nature of classes combined with the professionalism of the teachers is a great forum for school children to explore their artist and creative side in a structured yet fun way. The classes have also been able to continue through lockdown as well. I highly recommend considering artbox to other parents and their children.
telma Jardim: Júlia is amazing !!!She helped me explore different varieties of techniques including charcoal, watercolour, sculptures and many others.I love coming to the classes and enjoy morning tea there, I love it so much that I’m going back for a third year …Under her guidance I even had one of my drawings displayed at Mosman Gallery earlier this year…By Eva O J (12 years old)
Mark Staples: My daughter has been doing weekend art classes here over last couple of years. She enjoys the classes, and as well as learning about drawing and painting, likes trying out other media including sculpture and printing. Even during covid, the online classes have worked out!
Jamie Wehbeh: Our daughter has been attending the Saturday morning Art Box Workshops with Julia for more than three years now. As well as learning a variety of foundational art processes, she finds the studio environment to be welcoming and engaging, and tells us it is a peaceful way to start her morning. The recent move to online classes has been a positive experience so far. As Isabella explains, Julia’s approach is very much the same as it is in-studio, with quality, detailed instruction and explanations. She actively communicates with her students through weekly Zoom meetings and emails, giving them an opportunity to ask questions and seek feedback. We are really impressed with the way Julia has made this transition, enabling the students to continue with their weekly lessons.
Trevor Morgan: Positive:Communication,ProfessionalismMy daughter has really enjoyed attending the art classes. Each term is different and there is good engagement which allows her to easily learn new techniques.
Tabs H: My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed Julia's art classes over the last year and a bit. It's a fun activity to look forward to after school and a healthy snack at the start, kindly offered as a part of the class, gets the creative juices flowing! Thanks Julia
Nicole Gleeson: Highly recommend Art Box Workshops. I am an Early Childhood Teacher at Explore & Develop Artarmon and I arranged for Julia to run weekly sessions during term 4, 2018 with the Senior Preschool children. Julia had exceptional skills and knowledge and worked with the children to create a clay sculpture of a cockatoo. The children gained great experience from these sessions, thanks to Julia's creative teaching. We will definitely seek Julia from Art Box Workshops for sessions in the future.
Richard Critchfield: This has to be one of the best After School programmes. The variety and breadth of skills and techniques that my daughter has learnt have only increased her enjoyment and love of Art. Highly recommend this programme.
Brenda Wayman: My daughter attends Art Box every school holidays and loves it. She has a wonderful day creating beautiful pieces of art. It is a great school holiday activity, particularly on a hot summers day, as it is held in air conditioning.
Iris Yu: My Son Aiden has been attending the art class after school over a year. He absolutely loves art works with various forms. He does not only take a class during the school term but also he  does holiday workshop as well. They have all different types of aged group of workshop in school holiday. Also, the instructor, Julia, in art box is one of passionate and creative person. She is highly responsible for their pupils.
Anna Gibson: My daughter adored her holiday workshops and was so proud of the artworks she created.
Karen: My daughter has attended Artbox Workshop's school holiday workshop program every holiday for the past couple of years. She absolutely loves the classes and looks forward to them. The studio and garden area are such a lovely area for the kids to learn and be creative in. The range of techniques and projects offered are varied and perfectly age appropriate, my daughter comes home inspired and very pleased with herself and with what she has created. We have each of her artworks hung about the house! 😀
Ildiko Kovesi: Julia and the Studio do fantastic job with the kids. I am always amazed with the art works what my son creates.
Aimee Treherne: Art Box workshops classes have been fantastic for my daughter, she loves every minute , her artistic skills have developed and she has used many new mediums and techniques.
Natalie McMinn: Julia from Art Box Neutral Bay, is a wonderful art teacher, exceptionally talented herself, has the gift of installing the love of art in its various forms to all children. My daughter is loving the after school class so much as she was worried that by going on holiday overseas she will lose her spot in the class. This says a lot about the atmosphere and the joy children experience in Julia's art class. Not only that, I was pleasantly surprised to see Julia promoting the art work of her students by entering it in various competitions. I, myself, as a parent, highly recommend Julia and her classes at Art Box, Barry Lane, Neutral Bay to all parents. Do not be surprised if your children will request to go year after year to Julia's art classes. Thank you Julia for all your kindness and great work.
Gilbert Halcrow: My daughter Lolly absolutely loves her Saturday morning class with Julia. It is clear from Lolly's enthusiasm as she quickly walks to class and the animated conversation as we return home. The things my daughter enjoys most about the class compared to her previous lessons, is the level of freedom Julia gives her students to explore the various forms and skills they are working with. This Julia then supports with guidance, demonstrating skill and suggesting strategies to meet the challenges the work presents. Lolly's visual work and artistic confidence has grown through the nurturing and engaging program that Art Box offer. As a creative arts teacher and educational consultant I consider Julia to be a great practitioner. Lolly likes her because Julia is 'funny and makes her smile'.
juan liu: Kayla has been improved so much during past one year's learning in art box. The most good thing is that she loves art more than before. And she tells me that she likes Julia's teaching and desserts. She admires Julia's artwork and hope herself would be able to draw such beautiful picture.Thank julia for your amazing teaching.
guy brent: An amazing and unique experience for my son - not only do the kids have fun with Julia and Basia, they also learn the techniques needed to develop as budding artists - all in a very special studio. By far my son's favourite activity of the week!
Training Feedback: Wonderful environment for budding artists
Eileen Li: My daughter had been with Julia for 2 years, she loves it; Julia is such a great teacher, nice and inspiring…
