iki yos erchxs piña: Excelent place
Danielle Berry: Fantastic gallery featuring contemporary art exhibitions and a great team running the space.
Millie Chin (Milliefujii): Pretty small gallery with not much information of the exhibition but you can find everything online. The space is pretty quiet so if you like admiring art with lesser crowd this is the place to go to.
Reena Dewan: Phenomenal work ! Would return in the evening for public program.
Miles Thorogood: A fantastic contemporary gallery. Two large rooms present engaging installation and media works, and a smaller side gallery is off interest. The works are installed professionally and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend a visit to Artspace if you're in Sydney.
amanda lim: Always thought-provoking, experimental and affective.
Chris P: Lovely art space
David Booth: Fab gallery with teahouse and dim sum
Fei: Literally my favourite art space to go in Sydney!!!!! Just gotta stick to their social media pages to get all the new coolest exhibitions’ info.
Adrian Youngman: Great Sydney needs more of these
Lilian Rodriguez: I was accompanying my husband to see something he was interested in.It's a good thing that someone can have a space for a length of time to expose their art.But I was not impressed with the 'warning signs' at the entrance, with coarse language on them, very rude and disrespectful. I don't think anyone would like to come across with such signs in a real scenario.
Emma F: Love this art gallery, they always have fun interesting and thought provoking exhibitions

Joy Perkins: Main purpose was to meet old friends for lunch. I only saw paintings in the cafe. Lunch is expensive. This building was part of my school, and brings back lots of memories.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …More
Bangyun Wang: A gem that’s hidden on the observatory hills.Open space with nice layout to have citations that’s with different themes. It’s a home for local Aussie artist. The dining room attached to the gallery is very bright and cozy.I recommend this gallery as a nice stop of your weekend morning
Yvonne Smith: Lovely gallery with very appealing cafe
Norman Monshall: Excellent exhibition of two Australian female artists Spowers and Syme, who painted 'modernist' works in the inter-war years.
Julie Whitfield: Beautiful understated linocuts - go see them.
Martin Dumbrell: Always wonderful.
Paul Hallgarth: I always find the exhibitions here to be fascinating and the staff to be most welcoming. There is also a very pleasant restaurant on site with a good range of home cooked meals.I pa to enjoyed my lunch there today. There is a small admission charge for exhibitions and they do not, at the time of writing, accept cash payments although the restaurant asked that we paid cash for our meal if possible.Looking forward to my next visit
Josie Hayes: Cup of tea with lactose free milk and one sugar for Josie hayes and lunch small sixe salad not do much
phil went: Lovely national trust building near the observatory. Regular exhibitions including the annual Salon des Refuses from the Archibald prize rejections and the wonderful Portia Geacht prize.
Vivek Krishan: Great little hidden gem of a gallery on Observatory Hill. Was a good collection of Aboriginal bark paintings when we visited. Fabulous ochres...
L D: Went to the S.H. Ervin gallery to see the Archibald portraits that missed being shown at the NSW art gallery at the S.H. Ervin gallery. Very pleasant, intimate environment. And a visit to their cafe/ restaurant is a nice way to finish your visit.
ultimobile: Had portrait exhibition Archibald ?
Karen Schultz: A small National Trust gallery showcasing Australian artists.
ZR: A modest art gallery atop Observatory Hill. Its standout annual exhibition is the Salon de Refuses, for rejected entries to the Archibald Prize.
Tony Brown: This year's Portia Geach exhibition of women portrait painters was very good. These paintings in particular caught my eye.
Janet Beck: Great gallery, we loved it
georgia freebody: Amazing paintings. An ode to trees. Xxx
Sean Batchelor: Arrived from the rain and met a man from the book store entrance who wasn't impressed that I wanted to pay cash and his tone was trying to make me feel I was a baffoon for even trying to pay the fee of $12 in cash so I left not seeing the exhibitions there at all.
Dan T: Many great exhibitions on display, with talks from curators and artists. In a one of a kind position at observatory Hill, the S.H.Ervin Gallery is a must see.
Ali S: Worth dropping by if you’re at the observatory, but it seems that hardly anyone visits here. It’s pretty hard to locate (you need to go up towards the observatory then follow the road) and there’s a $12 entry fee. Might be worthwhile thinking of ways to make the place more accessible from the city end
G Oondera: Went for the Peter Kingston exhibition. The exhibition was good but that was the only positive. The volunteers who run the gallery were rude and treat you like you are invisible. I won't be going again.Incredibly, the cafe was even worse! Lousy coffee (the milk in my cappuccino had that nasty burnt taste), over priced cakes and dictatorial staff. Give it a miss. There are plenty of good coffee shops in the area.

And there are something in display which I didn't like (eg: swearing words in the art display which I thought was not very appropriate for a museum.) Australian Centre for Photography: what do users think?
Anthony Santram: Absolutely loved it! The people, the exhibitions especially the hydra exhibition!
Rhys Williams: Absolutely love my time with ACP whether that be one on one tuition or weekend courses with fellow photographers. My experience with several tutors has been very positive and all have shared their knowledge freely. Looking forward to my journey across time with ACP.
Madhava Huet: Very high quality education delivered from people who are doing the job! The tutors at ACP are very good and will help guide you in the right direction. Couldn't recommend enough!
Sarah Evans: High quality courses and private tuition, with courses and tuition provided by experienced and professional photographers. They also provide opportunities for students to share and exhibit their work.
Red: Slow paced. Energizing. Thoughtful. Why's that screen moving like that?
Penny Marr: I have done a number of courses with ACP now - both in person and online and both formats have been wonderful and really helpful. The tutors are highly experienced professionals with a lot of real-world knowledge and experience to offer, and I have found the courses are designed in such a way as to always evoke my inspiration and broaden my horizons in my own photography - both creatively and from a business perspective. I look forward to doing more!
Natalia Cartney: Great institute to learn photography. Well selected teachers and support staff who are very knowledgeable about the industry and their craft. Each course for me has been a jump in my path to becoming a photographer for which I’m very grateful.
James Schulz: I’ve been fortunate to have completed a number of workshops with ACP. They have great programs with passionate and knowledgeable industry professionals, well supported by the organisation more broadly. There's a diverse variety of courses offered so these are great opportunities to hone a specific area to learn or develop.
Kwok Aun Tan: The biggest asset the ACP has is its team of dedicated tutors. I have attended workshops by Fiona Wolf-Symeonides and Steven Cavanagh and I have also had private tuition with Martin Mischkulnig and Bill Green. Their depth of experience, years of knowledge, and enthusiasm in sharing this with students is what makes the Australian Centre of Photography the institution it is. Making photography accessible to a wider audience.
gillian turner: I've done various courses with ACP - both in person and online - and enjoyed them all. The tutors are excellent and highly qualified. The classes are practical, as well as providing a theoretical background. There is always plenty of opportunity to practice the skills learned, and receive feedback.
Kade Anderson: As a working photographer it's not easy to find professional level advice and mentorship that can help you develop as a professional, as many schools often only cater to those who are new to photography. The ACP has the perfect approach to addressing the needs of professional photographers with their private tuition. The workshop coordinators really listen to the goals you set yourself, and align you with tutors who will inspire you to develop your skills & experience, and will help you to push your capabilities as a photographer.I'd thoroughly recommend any professional with clear ideas on where/how they would like to improve their photography to collaborate with the ACP through private tuition.
Melanie Sleigh: I have completed a number of ACP courses and private tuition over the years. The educators are amazing and have helped me every step of my photography journey, from camera craft one all the way to business mentoring. Not only do they offer the very best education but their support and encouragement continues far beyond each course.
Susan Astor-Smith: I participated in 3 on-line courses with ACP in the past few months. ACP responded to the CoVid restrictions by offering online content. This was relevant and well-presented by professional facilitators enabling me to learn and feel connected to the photographic community during challenging times.
Phillip Bayly: The ACP has been providing contemporary and traditional photographers with the resources to learn and discover skills of how to survive, grow and expand in their various fields for many years. I have participated in numerous courses and attended many openings over the years that have inspired and motivated me to approach my photography with new ways of interpreting the medium I love. Their attitude and approach has always been professional and of the highest standard. i highly recommend any of the courses they provide.
Blane Coulcher: I have done a number of weekend courses, and derived value from each one, lifting my knowledge and challenging my ways of looking at the world. Well organised and great tutors
juan carlos ortiz pozo: I did 3 courses at the ACP whilst living in Sydney and they were fantastic, I was part of the Year Exhibitions and also loved the events. Now, been a resident in Tokyo and finding impossible access to any kind of photographic formation in english, I decided to try on online tuition and the experience was fantastic. It was just two hours but the tutor was highly prepared and organised.I think they team is highly professional, prepared and human too.I have no doubt I will study again with them.
Rebecca Wilkinson: Booked a 2-hour online Beginners Photography Tuition for my partner's birthday and it was amazing. The team at ACP are amazing to deal with, and with an excellent background in photography, my partner found their training methods on basic usage of a DSL camera in manual function was exceptional. He is keen to book into a face to face course with them once self-isolation for COVID-19 has been lifted. My partner walked away with a better understanding of his camera and found the tutor Fiona to be fantastic in her explanations of how to function is camera, which is outstanding considering the whole session was conducted through Zoom. If you want to know photography this is the company you want you to learn from. Thanks guys.
M Gal: I have done several courses at the ACP over the last few years. They were always interesting and informative. Both the teaching and the admin staff are friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend the ACP if you are interested in learning about photography techniques and the art of photography.
Shawn Hollbach: Definitely the best place to study digital and analogue photography in Sydney. ACP’s short courses and workshops are excellent, and the teachers and coordinators are all really helpful and supportive. I have also really appreciated the opportunities ACP has given me to exhibit my work. Highly recommended!
Pat McBride: Wonderful gallery a joy to visit
Rob Miller: Great space, super close to Oxford Street. Worth a visit to see the rotating exhibitions on display.

Chau Chak Wing Museum: what do users think?
William Wang: Lots of special items especially the mummies
芷晴: A very shocking museum! It contains the cultural heritage of China, ancient Rome, Egypt and Greece. At the same time, there are art exhibitions, photography exhibitions and biological specimen exhibitions in the museum. You can walk around for two to three hours without feeling tired at all. The introduction of each product is very detailed, which can be described as perfect! What impressed me the most was that the mummy of a seven-year-old boy not only had a detailed introduction but also attached his X-ray picture. It gave me a deeper understanding of mummies. In short, thanks to the staff in the museum, it is you who keep this museum in order.

Art Gallery of New South Wales: what do users think?
Nathan Guerra: It's not the biggest art gallery you'll ever visit, you can easily do it in a few hours, but it's great for families. They regularly do workshops and events and it's worth checking out their website for more information. It is free to get in, and regularly has excellent paid curations. The whole family enjoyed the annual Archibald, Wynne, and Sulman exhibition. It's also worth popping over to see the modern art in the newly opened North Gallery, including its epic new space on the lower level.
Rosalind Hustler: We went to see The Archibald exhibition, which was excellent. This is a great gallery, plenty of different areas to view. Staff helpful. Restaurant and cafe good service and food. The only issues were that the escalators in the building had a dreadful squeaking noise. With hearing aids it was really off putting. In fact I had to remove them as it was like having a chalk on blackboard effect. Also as interstate visitors we could not find any public transport to the gallery.
Mahesh Upadhyay: Amazing experience
Thiện Lê: Accessible to the public, great place to learn art and history. Overall an outstanding gallery! Worthwhile experience!Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
John Barker: Good to go to every couple of years. We went specifically today to see the Archibald Prize which had some great works. Unfortunately there aren't that many on display and 50% of the exhibition is for the Sulman & Wynne Prize entrants.
