Rick: Wilfully disallowed pets from being kept in the building. This has been rectified with the October 2020 Court of Appeals change to NSW laws governing pet ownership within strata run buildings. For allowing pets to live in the building, this easily commands a 1/5 rating."On 12 October 2020, the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of New South Wales handed down its decision in Cooper v The Owners - Strata Plan Strata Plan No 58068 [2020] NSWCA 250. The Court of Appeal ruled that a by-law of the Horizon Building in Darlinghurst, that imposed a blanket prohibition on the keeping of animals, was oppressive and in contravention of section 139(1) of the Strata Schemes Management Act 2015 (the Act).The Court of Appeal decision overturned the particular by-law that was in dispute and provided a general ruling about how the law on “harsh, unconscionable or oppressive” is to be applied. The ruling states that a by-law can be oppressive if it limits the ability of an owner to use their property, without exception or qualification, on a basis that has no connection to the impact on other lot owners.The ruling sets an important precedent which is binding on lower Courts and Tribunals. Except for blanket pet bans that are similar to the Horizon’s former by-law, it is difficult to know how widely the precedent will apply. Where parties are unsure or disagree about whether a particular by-law is oppressive, they may apply to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal to decide the matter."

They pressure clients into investing in off-the-plan properties that are of low quality and are unlikely to generate positive returns. I strongly advise others to exercise caution when dealing with this business. They deny my status as their client despite having engaged with their Services. Beware of their deceptive practices and lack of integrity.

Susana Matteo: We have been living in this building for two years and we cannot be happier with our choice. It is in the center and it doesn't seem like it because of the location. building very quiet and always clean. His building manager Mark is a very close person and always willing to clarify your doubts regarding any problem.
John Cumming: Aspire Apartments is for lovers of inner Sydney. Living here is the gift that keeps on giving. It's peaceful despite being seconds from Elizabeth Street. Trains, buses, supermarkets are steps away, as are the magnificent War Memorial and the green haven of Hyde Park. I bought my apartment because of the location, the low levies and the smart design of the bldg (eg my bedroom has no common walls). My apartment looks on to a pocket park (pictured) which gives me environmental nourishment. The bldg manager is proactive and fosters a community spirit, which you can't put a price on.
Albert T: Excellent location (close to all amenities), contemporary well-kept building and great building manager. Our building manager is always on top of any issues that arise and is super friendly. Couldn't ask for more. Oh, and plenty of great coffee options - all in walking distance.

jennifer sharpe: We currently lease our apartment at the Aspire but we lived there for three years. It is such a wonderfully managed and modern building with a real sense of community. The building is quite secluded but has everything on your doorstep, it’s like little oasis in the city.
Mercythee Kurniawan: I have been living here for 3 years now and I cannot recommend it enough! Everything is regularly maintained and clean, the location is fantastic; only a short walk to restaurants, world square, and IGA/coles (and cafés downstairs). The building is tucked inside an alleyway which helps with minimising the noise level that is usually experienced when staying in the city. I have had no issues at all and a big thank you to Mark and the owners corporation for your efforts on keeping the building pleasant for all occupants.

He is always willing to field queries, to investigate and follow-up on issues, and does it with effortless neighbourliness and a smile. I could not recommend highly enough living in our little but unbelievably diverse enclave in the city - truly a testament to a modern, vibrant Sydney lifestyle.

The condition of the common area is very well maintained, and in particular, the building manager, Mark, goes the extra mile to ensure all residents are kept posted on any work taking place in or around the building, and ensuring that the by-laws are being followed by all residents. This helps keep the building a safe and comfortable place to stay in. I've had many personal interactions with Mark over the years and he has always been super friendly, helpful and responsive.
