Christopher Edwards: I've been a SCU customer for YEARS. They are awesome (well, for a bank at any rate).
Ryan Putland: By far the best decision I ever made regarding credit cards was choosing SCU. Not only is the interest rate one of the lowest around, the application process was thorough, and along with the savings account that accompanies the credit account, I left the branch feeling more like a customer and not just a number. The staff have always treated me kindly, with respect, and were better able to deal with specific individual enquiries that a big bank wouldn't be capable of. Their cards are integrated with both Google Pay and Samsung Pay, giving you every POS (point of sale) option you could want. My only constructive criticism is that their internet banking interface is dated and needs an overhaul, and a minor annoyance is that they don't have an Android banking application. Every other aspect of SCU is good enough for these issues not to detract from the five stars I've rated them.

Rebecca Mawad: This is the least user-friendly bank I have used. No tap and go function, you cannot rename accounts on the app. While the staff are polite, every interaction seems to take weeks if not months to come to a resolution.
Nel Foot: Excellent customer service experience. Maria knew exactly what was required to sign me up as a new customer. Very knowledgeable and courteous.
Diane Pracy: Happy with bank but its the phone app that mucks around all the time now l have been denied access agsin trying to set it up again
Greg Daniels: I have been with Gateway Bank for over 20 years with multiple loans where they constantly increase the interest rates. Over the years i have discussed this with them where they do not offer any loan alternative and I have just been notified again they are increasing the interest rate yet again to now 8.4%. After investigation i have obtained a loan at 4.63% almost half of what Gateway are charging. After refinancing notification discussions with one of their consultants it was only then did they offer an alternative loan at 5.05% but wouldn't match the other financier Adelaide Bank. Thankyou gateway if i could give you zero stars i would.
angie sternbeck: I hold mortage with this bank. Staff are lovely however they are not trained and therefore if you call regarding the smallest issues they often ponder on the phone and give you an answer very hesitantly and 9 times out of 10 it's wrong. You can tell the company doesn't care about thier staff because of truly how bad the training is I thought it was a one off at first, but no, every interaction I have is with a staff member that sounds very unsure to the point I feel bad and hang up to try and figure the soultion out myself or call back another time. This bank also doesn't have osko payment so like the caveman days you wait 3 days for money transfers. I would definitely avoid this bank at all costs and I plan to move my mortage to another bank at my next convince.
Barry Webster: It saddens me to say this, but I'm extremely disappointed in Gateway's approach to a recent loan application.My wife & daughter have BOTH previously repaid a Gateway car loan without ever missing a payment.It was felt that my daughter wasn't able to service a loan in her own name (despite a previous loan, 7 years continuous employment with the same company & owning her own house) so we submitted a new application where my wife & I were prepared to be co borrowers & again the application was declined.So, we have 3 applicants with jobs, owning 2 houses, heaps of superannuation & our application was declined.So much for looking after loyal customers!Sadly, we're so disappointed we'll now be closing our accounts with Gateway.
Paul White: What a great idea, a discounted home loan for 7 Star rated Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) or 7 Star rated Residential Efficiency Scorecard energy efficient homes. Great incentive.
Hann Mann: If I could give 0 stars I would.A pretend bank with pedantic rules and regulations. Instead of using common-sense to resolve even the smallest of issues they hide behind their pathetic rules as an excuse not to help the customer. Don't waste your time with this bank - the staff are too scared to make even the most basic determination. Have a look at the reviews - they are usually reviewed as 1 or 5 stars and not much in between. So they are either really bad or really good - depending on who you deal with or what your dealing is. And you can imagine they are quick to ask a customer who has a positive experience to take a few minutes to leave a review. Take those reviews away and the score is starting to look like an overall rating of 1 star.Perhaps "Gutless Bank" would be a more appropriate name. I have "banked" with them for over 40 years - from when I joined the CBA and Gateway was the CBA staff credit union. After becoming a bank their service has deteriorated. And I can hardly wait for the generic meaningless reply to this review.
Liz Rae: Gateway Bank have been wonderfully supportive during a time my health was exceptionally poor. I have had a 9 year mortgage with them and want my new home purchase to be with them also. The staff were wonderful with advice at all times. I am so pleased with their service.

Rossi Carbon: 3 Months ago, i opened an account and all my documents have been verified and about 2 weeks after i received a letter from gateway bank advising that they have closed my account without any explanation, I called and was put on hold for half an hour. Anyway, i think i was lucky not to deposit money into my new account otherwise it would be a hassle to withdraw once the account has been closed.
Aaron: They are condescending, arrogant and judgemental on your decisions if you decide to go for another bank's loan rates instead of theirs. Their rates are not competitive, highly unprofessional and I strongly do not recommend them as it reflects on their overall culture and service.

Chunky Monkey: If you are looking to open up safe deposit at this place, do not choose this branch. The workers here are extremely low at efficiency and have condescending attitudes towards people of colour(I’m Asian). The service stand varies higher if you’re white. I was made to wait more than 3+ hours to open up a bank safe on a Monday afternoon.
JD Travellers Review: Welcome to CBA, where workers spend more time worrying about the shine on their Gucci tie pin and the make up caked on their faces, than doing their jobs. Each person you speak to provides different contradictory advice and when they make an error, you go through their complaints process which says they will get back to you in “two business days” and it’s now over 2 months later. Contacting the banking ombudsman now! Disgusting!
Jessie Liao: Unfairly customer service. I have tried to communicate with one of the staff that I don’t have any complaint. He ignored me and insisted on lodging complaint.
Катрина Дымова: Huge building, noone to help. Worst CommBank branch in CBD. I have been there twice in 2 weeks with the same unsatisfactory experience. First time they won’t even take me in to be served 35 minutes before closing. I want to Bank Australia on York street instead and they took me in 15 minutes before closing with lovely lady staying past their opening hours to help. Second time I had to wait for 25 minutes in line to see a teller (after that I just left). With many staff present and other serving windows just closed.

Dave Kerai: If you are going to make everyone wait for an hour to do any banking task, Why can't you have an alternate appointment making system so people can come to the branches at the time of their appointment. None of the branches pick up the phoneIf the only way to receive mandatory banking services is to wait over 1 hour every time, might as well close down more branches and make people wait few more hours, The treatment is appalling. It seems, it is only the bank's and banker's time that is important.

Taby Sarhadi: The most terrible experience with a bank ever! The worst customer service ever!Recently refinanced our home loan to Bank of Syd through a broker, and we were told we will get a credit card as a part of package. They have not sent the credit card after 2 weeks yet, and when I called them to follow up on it they just say they don't issue the credit cards yet and they are not sure when it starts! When I asked about the estimate (e.g. a week, a month, or a year ) they answered they are not sure. I asked when I could call them to have an answer and they again said they are not sure. "I am not sure" was the only answer I got from the customer service operator!Apart from that, I have not received the debit card on the link account yet, whereas my husband got his last week (it's a joint account), again when I asked about it, she said she is not sure why that has happened but I will probably get it in the next week ! Why, so late ? they are not sure !We also did not receive any information pack on the home loan after settlement on when/how to do the repayments until I called them and emailed them multiple times.

Emmy B: I went into the branch recently trying to cancel some insurance products after spending hours on the phone on hold to CBA. Amy at the North Sydney branch was quick to assess my situation and do whatever she could to help me speak to the right people and file the right requests to sort out my problems. Amy was warm, friendly and and is an absolute credit to her profession. Excellent customer service!
Niraj Chaudhary: Pretty decent customer service, I would say.
Melissa Barrett: Clean and welcoming and thankfully with no pesky concierge interrogating you about what you need to do there the minute you enter. Obviously, any help you might need from their competent staff, they'll be happy to help.
ElleJon Ellejon: Been going to this branch for years. New staff Sigi is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks to her we are now sorted with our home loans before interest rates went crazy.

When CEOs yearly bonuses are the biggest concern over customer service. Take your money away from the big 4. As promised, one star. Chris Meier: CommBank is the most useless institution under the sun. Extremely inconsistent service across branches. Nothing is ever done in one trip to the branch. Luckily Commbank does not really care about their customers so it ain't matter.

Kenneth Ooi: Amazing customer service provided by Antony (and the team). It is relatively quiet during the day so you can pretty much get things done fast but regardless of that, you'll be treated with respect and care when you have any questions with banking and others. Thank you for your service!

J Lee: If you are considering home loan please go to another branch. I'm doing refinance and seems like one who doing home loan he doesn't know the things well and get so much stress myself to find out what is going on. Before processing the refinance, got fast reply but during processing the refinance, hard to get reply. I've heard he is looking after other branches as well so avoid him. If not you will have same issues what I have.
