Red Eye Records: what do users think?
Frazer B: Great selection
Ben Frewen: A big selection of albums on vinyl and CD and cassette.
Mark Kendrick: First time visit, found something been looking for a long time. Could spend hours thereWorth the visit
Jangone Choi: 다른곳에비해 비싸기만하고 주차할곳도없음 , 근처에 유료주차장에 주차했는데 30분에 30-40불정도 나온듯..
Mic Millist: This place is awesome! O.K. so you can buy online and if you want cheap C.D.s go to Vinnies or the markets. If you want atmosphere, a well laid out store with knowledgable and friendly staff, go to Red Eye. All you people that are complaining about price, just remember that most music here is hard to find or imported and you don't have to wait to get it on your player.I hope this store stays open forever as it caters to the serious collector- like me
Simone Baksheeff: Fantastic selection all all genres of new and pre-loved records and cds. Nearly impossible to leave the store without purchasing something.
John Deblasio: The BEST music store in Sydney. And just keeps getting better all the time. Great new releases on CD and vinyl and lots of great used and reissued vinyl in the racks always.
Shae Boyd: Really good place to find rare or hard to get records in Australia all time best record store in Sydney, prices are a little better than bigger retailers
Alassinsane: I cannot heap enough praise onto Red Eye. Its clear why it's continues to trade long after the others have closed shop. Staff are helpful & if theyre not up on products they make sure they spear you to a staff member who is. I enjoy spending my doe here. These ppl seem to enjoy what they do & thats so much more than selling a CD. They're the keepers of our dreams as youngsters tied up in the music of our personal era's. I have so much love this store.
Mimi xx: I went to my first record store day and the staff were so helpful and friendly they were coming out to the line telling what they still have in stock. They were all super nice and i would go again
Patrick Gerard: ordered a vinyl from here and it arrived super fast and with excellent and protective packaging! i was a little nervous ordering a vinyl to be shipped but it had stickers all over it to make sure it was handled with care and had a bunch of recyclable filling to keep it safe :)
Scott Northam: The most awesome music (vinyl, CD, DVD etc..) that Sydney(& Australia) can proudly boast about for so VERY many years now.Service is awesome, physical store and online store is superb and the staff are outstanding..Been dealing with Redeye for well over 20 years now and Can't EVER Fault It 🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇👍👍👍
Amy Kay: Best place to get vinyl in Sydney!
Terry Gainey: Great selection of imported and local music. Second hand and new. Magazines and books. Top service and advice.
Kerrie Abboud: Lots of records and helpful staff
Lorne Fogarty: I have been dealing with Red Eye Records in Sydney, both in person and by mail order, for many years, and have been left with a very positive feeling about this business. The key reasons for that are friendly and courteous staff; excellent product knowledge; a willingness to help or 'go the extra mile'; mail order products being well packaged and always arriving in both timely fashion and in good condition; and when they say they'll e-mail or call you back, they do so.Other than as a customer, I have no association with Red Eye Records or its staff.I was not offered incentives to write this review.
Chiara Costanza: Wonderful record shop. Nice collection of soundtracks and electronic music. Highly recommend visiting.
Brendan Timbs: Record store is set out decently, and mostly allows space to flick through the available records. They are all quite expensive though. Every time I came across something I could buy, I would do a quick check on google, Amazon, imusic and jpc and red eye was a lot more expensive, so I left buying nothing.
Ronzzy: I was looking for Sabrina Carpenter album but sadly they didn’t have it on stock :( The store is quite easy to find and have a lot of album collections!!!
Ben: We called earlier in the day to put some items on hold, then collected them in the afternoon very quickly. Nice service. However there were a lot of bugs flying around at the entrance by the stairs.
noah: Great prices and have every genre you can think of!

Utopia Records: what do users think?
Keith Templar: Never heard of this shop before but I'm so glad I found it just over a month ago, if you want to find not only the best of metal but also hidden gems and hard to find bands this store has a huge variety. I bought a bunch of Rush albums and they came in a week later all intact and play beautifully. Will definitely be buying again.
JT: Utopia Records is the place to go to find the best heavy metal , rock & hard to find imports in Sydney .I have been supporting Utopia since the mid 1980’s when they started out at Martin Place and after a few changes of locations the current store at Kent Street is well placed & very well stocked with a huge variety of CD’s , LP’s, t-shirts , clothing accessories and too many other items to mention . Staff are super helpful and are true Metal heads from way back & know their stuff from Anthrax to Zoetrope and everything in between.Heavy Metal is the Law 🤘🔥🤘
Reid Burke: The best shop for heavy metal merch in Australia. Great people and products, very professional service. I recommend Utopia to everyone.
J C: Firstly, I can’t fault their online service at all. The LPs were delivered quickly and in some strong packaging and they throw in a thick, high quality album cover as well. However, as a non-metal looking guy, I found a couple of the people who work there a little snooty and judgmental to those of us who’ve grown out of wearing black, or sporting dorky board shorts with a metal t-shirt. Also, the shop seemed a little cramped and it didn’t seem to have that much vinyl. It had some merch of metal bands but nothing that great. The prices are very high, too. I’ve bought enough from the shop and that will be it from me.
Lesly Royce: Great store! So many vinyl choices :) Graphic tees and other accessories from your fave bands!! Awesome staff, very friendly!
Milan: Great selection and easy to deal with.
Saurav Magar: Best place to get merch!!! 🔥
Bruce Harrison: Excellent service and superfast shipping - highly recommended.
Amy Kay: Great selection of vinyl!
Tracey Auchterlonie: I Am Really excited about this shop, it's the first time I've shopped there. A Great Service to Customers. It's the first time on line I've shopped as well. Thankyou.
Robin Drury: I love, love, love this place !!!
Zach Penhall: A+ very glad to have ordered through these pals! Swift delivery of my order is greatly appreciated! Keep up the good works pals
Sonia Kay: Good to see music is still strong.
Mark Brain: Still the home of metal
Haydn Kilmister: Great staff
Sophie Allica: Got a shirt there which I really liked except the print came off it after about 5 washes over time :(
S Newman: Fantastic store. Well priced and a solid range of products.
Brendan Timbs: Overpriced and poorly set out, the records are all squeezed in so you can't even flip through to see what they have. Maybe they used to be good, but I won't be returning.
Max Cax: Best place ever no better place to go ...
Dmitri Kouzmin: Great place to buy HM and HR CD's and other stuff.
John Xina: The blokes behind the counter are absolute fkn legends. 11/10 customer service

Egg Records: what do users think?
dean mcdonald: Good Range of 2nd hand music, mostly LPs. Found some treasures here
Elijah Pelaez: Located around the corner from Newtown Station, the store offers a large selection of records from different genres, for every demographic! Quality customer service and the perfect record crate-digging experience has never been more masterfully created, no one does it the way Baz and the Egg Records store team does! An absolute A+ and the highlight of my day whenever I visit!
Garth Montgomery: Best record store experience you can get. Great selection at very reasonable prices, nice store layout for a pleasant digging experience. And just fantastic chats with the owner and staff who are passionate and knowledgeable while being friendly and fun.
Liza Heslop: One of the best record stores in Sydney great staff very friendly experience

Laura BlackRoseStar: Great stuff to be found in this little gem of a store! From autographed items to original vinyl recordings of almost any genre of music… check them out 👍🏼

Ben: Came up from Canberra to check out some Sydney record stores and this was by far my favourite. Fantastic selection and great staff. I'll be back! :)
Simon Skinner: Great little collectable record and memorabilia store.
Kristian Kriesel: Great place to buy records. Friendly staff. Good range and reasonable prices
C J: Ripper selection, nice vibe and quality service. Spin the black circle!
John Deblasio: Great record store in the heart of funky Newtown.Always something new to look at and very knowledgeable staff who always play stuff in store you wanna buy
Keiran Jones: A true old school music store.Egg has a surprisingly diverse and eclectic range of vinyl and cds on offer. It's like a collection from a small family across two generations rather than a standard offering you get from any other store.
Charlotte Ahern-Whybrow: Great collection
Ian Davidson: Always good and cheap but I asked about the movie by Pete Townshend and the Who but unfortunately I think it is " out of print" . A good thing is when you pre-order something they txt you... Good store.🐸😁✌💰
Timeshare Chinchilla: This is my first stop in Newtown on a vinyl expedition. The owner is really friendly and the bargain bins has some hidden gems. Reasonably priced vinyls and a large CD collection too.
CrookedNose2131: Good that it sells records but a fairly limited range. If you're into pre 2000s rock music and the Beatles, there will be something here for you. If not, you will be disappointed.
Renee Ciapponi: Quick and good end result of sale transaction. Thank you for making my first selling experience simple. All the best.

Birdland: what do users think?
Karl Rich: Great little store tucked away in the Dymocks Bldg.
Alice Marden: This deceptively small record shops holds even the most obscure music. It was an oasis of all that jazz has to offer, and more - I had a wonderful experience
Ronzzy: If you’re looking for jazz album, here’s your heaven!
Stuart Johnson: They have an amazing range of music, and were very helpful in obtaining some difficult to find music for my father. Would highly recommend visiting!
Scott Hogan: Awesome collection of jazz records
Ruth Livingstone: I ordered a CD yesterday and it was delivered today - wow !!! Thank you Birdland for your exceptional customer service.
Noel Hodda: The best (and now possibly only) jazz specialists in Sydney. Huge range of new cds and some vinyl plus second hand bargains. Knowledgeable staff who are happy to search out that elusive recording for you. Mail order available via their website too.
Daniel Tilbrook: Best shop for jazz music in Australia. Great range of artists on CD and vinyl.
J C: What a gem of a place. A little oasis in the CBD, a great and diverse range of music and uber knowledgeable, helpful and edifying staff
Shawn Andrew: Great collection of jazz to choose from.Prompt mail service too.
John Deblasio: Small but well stocked with both CD and vinyl formats as well as some DVD'S if jazz blues soul funk and afro world music 8s you thing don't forget always check them and their website is updated daily. Very knowledgeable staff who have been in business a long time now.
Andrew Lorien: Proper record store. Not a record store bar or a record store Cafe. Just a record store.
David Harvey: I really love coming to Birdland and although I mostly pop in to buy jazz records and CD's, I have also bought rock, pop and R&B/soul records and CD's as well plus a DVD documentary of Louis Armstrong for good measure.I remember that when I first visited, I bought 'Blue' by Joni Mitchell on vinyl, an original US vinyl pressing of James Taylor's self-titled debut album aka The Apple Album (it was released on Apple Records) and a CD of Miles Davis's 'ESP'.
Alexander Fessenko: A stellar jazz and blues in Sydney.
Simone Blomberg: This is the best shop in Australia for jazz music. I have used their mail order service for several years. It has always been very prompt. The staff can make suggestions if you are just getting into jazz and don’t quite know where to start. They also have lots of SACDs for audiophiles. Probably the best stock in Australia.
Robert Monks: An excellent range of modern jazz , including Aust jazz, blues, r&b, world music including Brazil ,African. The staff are very knowledgeable and provide very good customer service. You will find really good music on cd, LP not available elsewhere in NSW.
Shaun Kempton: It's really great to have a store like this in Sydney since you can't find most of the records they sell anywhere else. It obviously mainly caters for jazz fans (such as my wife) but they also have a good range of blues, roots, folk, etc. (more my tastes). Definitely worth checking out.
Alan Aldrich: With the travel restrictions enforce at the moment I asked the guys at Birdland Records to post my recent purchases. Thank you for the great service you guys provide. My records arrived safe and sound the next day as you said. You’re a very good business to deal with.
Anthony Kinder: Although heavily Jazz there’s the best range of MFSL and Original Master Recording LPs I’ve seen in a long time. Great service and knowledge
Andrew Woodyatt: These guys have the best customer service, and they really know their music. One staff member spent 10 minutes on the phone giving me some recommendations for a Father's day present, because I find it really hard to come into the store. He did an absolutely fantastic job, and I ordered online a few days later. In a world full of Bunnings and Amazon, it's fantastic to have a small retailer who knows their product, and is passionate about what they're selling.
Timothy Abdallah: Great collection of some hard to find records!

The Vintage Record: what do users think?
Julie Price: My brother dragged me in here but it was fun to look through the album covers and remember the songs and music that wove their way through my life. Reasonable prices, great music playing in the background, and a lovely man behind the counter. My brother happily exchanged his money for a trove of LPs.
Dane Fewtrell: The kind of place you've been looking for. A pleasure just to dig around, but be warned - you will buy and you will not regret your purchases.
Antonio Fernandes: Great service and selection of vinyl
Ed Jones: I've visited a bunch of record stores in Sydney, and I think this one takes the cake. Fantastic selection and prices.
Lynette Ruge: The shop took none of our 90 records & I had phoned before coming. I think it is better to write a list of your records & email it.
Fraser Karhunkynsi: Remember when you were young and would walk into that funky old music shop where the bloke behind the counter is a total legend with all the best music and the coolest paraphernalia?Yes. This is THAT PLACE.And if you're worried that it's going to be overpriced? No.I was blown away by the pricing. So much more value for money than I could actually comprehend.Bring a carry box with you. You'll thank me later. 🤘🤘🤘
Andrew Stewart: First time visit today.Quality vinyl, great and friendly customer service.Haven't finished listening to the 3 records I purchased and already want to re visit to get more.Asked for a recommendation and it turned out to be the favourite out of the three. The recommended vinyl was the Eagles Live for people wondering.Thankyou Vintage record!
laurence stonard: Don't park outside, it's a bus stop, contact the shop first and if you drop off you can around the back, lots of records, knowledgeable staff, friendly. Sold my LPs, gave him my amp and deck.
a s: Staff were very helpful with advice
Ian Payne: What's not to love
Jeff Mills: Exactly what you picture in a record store. Something for everyone, old and new. And some good local stuff. Love the $5 classics section
Gareth Fitzpatrick: Probably my favourite record store in Sydney, just for the atmosphere and vibe of the shop, the well curated selection and of course Phil, the man at the centre of it all. I know for certain he is a guy who’s all about the good karma. It’s why he offers good, fair prices to sellers and just the right price to buyers. Drop into Vintage on a rainy day and you’ll have your spirits instantly lifted. Whether you prefer to browse in peace or chat with Mr Karma himself, you’re sure to keep coming back. In fact I’ll bet you an OG copy of ACDC’s Back in Black you will.
Scott Martin: AWESOME FABULOUS fantastic place to visit an buy your favorite RECORDS 🤗🤗😍😍Phil's awesome man 🤗
Jude de guingand: We’re downsizing and just sold most of our vinyl collection to Phil. The price he offered us exceeded our expectations and it was such a pleasure to meet Phil and chat about bands from the 70s, 80s and 90s. I’m so happy to know our much loved records are being handled with respect and will have a life beyond our shelves. Can’t recommend Phil highly enough!
Tee Ko: Great collection, quality and clean record.
Tom Sindoni: Great store! It’s always a disappointment walking into a “record store” that only or mostly stocks new digital vinyl in pretty colours but here they only stock used vinyl from the glory days which is all you need! Records are all cleaned and sold in a Mofi inner sleeve. Nice touch.
Yanning Yan: So far the best second-hand record shop in Sydney and there really isn't many new records worth buying theses days. Therefore highly recommend!
Annino O'Reilly: Very friendly and great selection of records!
Sam Savage: Lovely little record store. Some great stuff and well priced. I am getting my vintage record player repaired
Tim Polson: Great service and selection!
Mario Eisa: Must visit.
