Diego G: I've been training at Crossfit Sydney for 2 years and couldn't be happier with the results. I've noticed my body change for the better over that time (going 3 to 4x p/week) but most importantly - my strength & core. The trainers are supportive and the community as a whole are great - I've made good friends there which makes each class enjoyable. Another great thing I love about this gym is how spacious it is - especially compared to other gyms in inner Sydney where I did some trials prior to joining. There are a reasonable number of classes to choose from throughout the day and a physio available on site if needed. It's quite competitively priced compared to other gyms in the area too. The protein shakes, coffee & slushies available to purchase (cheaply!) are and added bonus, especially at the end of each class! Highly recommend.
Kari Baynes: CrossFit Sydney has changed my life. At 61, I have become stronger, fitter, taller, and healthier. The training is awesome - small groups scaled to each individual's ability. The trainers are so knowledgeable and vigilant, ensuring correct technique is adopted at all times. Importantly I love the vibe, it's super friendly and unpretentious. I'm addicted!
Alexandra Kopp: Incredible gym, highly recommend!This gym completely goes against the crossfit cliches / stereotypes that made me apprehensive about joining in the first place - it is an incredibly supportive and friendly environment where I have not only achieved fitness and strength gains wildly beyond my expectations but also developed new friendships and found a family.Andrew and his team are incredible at developing tailored programs for each individual member, based on their fitness levels, goals, and preferred training styles. The classes are super fun, variable, social, and never get boring. The additional weightlifting and mobility classes are an added bonus.
Tamara Oppen: Super experienced trainers. Welcoming, inclusive, non intimidating vibe. I came to the gym with very little experience and have learn't so much in such a short time. Training focusses on strength and mobility and scaled to suite your level. Liz and Andrew are incredible trainers. Love the relaxed, community atmosphere. No matter your level everyone is welcome. Highly recommend.

Angela Kim: THE BEST GYM EVER!I didn't have ANY fitness backgrounds when I joined CrossFit Sydney, and I have been training there for over 2 years and I can confidently say that I gain lots of knowledge and got to know myself better.When I started CrossFit I was worried about getting injured or just intense workouts, BUT this gym absolutely changed my stereotype. Andrew and the coaches know what they are doing, and by following their instructions and knowing my limits, I haven't been injured or got too tired after workouts - I'm just naturally clumsy, so I sometimes got hurt outside of the gym though.. I started from 35kg squat max, and now I can lift more than doubled weight. I can do pull ups, cleans, snatches, handstand, and other crazy things that I hadn't even thought about doing it!I learnt a lot, laughed a lot, and lifted a lot. This gym made my life better, and I definitely want more people to enjoy this lifestyle. It's a shame that I need to leave the gym, as I'm leaving Sydney, but I would definitely come back when I come back to Australia.Oh. One of the best thing about the gym - super easy process to join, hold, or cancel the membership. They offer free trials, just come by and jump into the class, and you will LOVE it.Oh. Oh. Oh. And they have lots of dogs hanging around!! You can easily spend 2 hours patting dogs there..

Andrew and his team really look after you.You will meet great people at this gym. No one has ever made me feel inferior because I couldn't lift big weights, or came last in a workout. Jade: I have loved training at CrossFit Sydney. This place is more than just jumping around getting sweaty for an hour like most group fitness classes. The coaches are friendly and knowledgeable. The programming was excellent and I left every session feeling like, not only had I had a good workout, but I had also learnt something and made progress in my movements. Saturday mornings are my favourite!
Ben Fox: A great gym with a fun crowd in a relaxed environment. Andrews sessions are really well structured. My fitness overall has vastly improved in the last few months to new levels such as achieving a sub 7 minute 2000M time trial on the rowing ergo which has always been a goal of mine. The biggest thing for me though is the motivation it provides and boredom from the routine not setting in, which I always experience in a mainstream gym. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking to improve fitness, loss weight, sports conditioning (multiple programming options available for those needing) or just multiple class options and times.

Renan Castro: The staff at CrossFit Sydney is great and they have good technical knowledge to help you improve your form. They cover mobility and strength training and there are also focused classes (e.g. handstand, lifting). The place is spacious with a multitude of equipment, the atmosphere is relaxed and you can push yourself at your own pace while getting tips on how to improve whatever you want to improve.
Verity Morris: I love this place, easily the best gym I've been to. Excellent training - caried, well structured, tough work outs where you truly can work to your own level whilst always improving. Great trainers, especially the owner Andy who is awesome. He will work with you to set exactly the personal program you need or it's 60 minute WOD classes (my fave) or the specialist classes to improve technique including lifting, running, handstands etc.

Marnya Rothe: Excellent trainers, and a great a community of down to earth people. Maira, Bea, Andrew and Renee are passionate knowledgeable, experienced trainers who are all invested in your individual progress and getting you to reach your goals. This is a Crossfit gym but it is also focused on movement and mobility which I have benefited from greatly in improving my posture and increasing flexibility. Andrew Cattermole and the other trainers are so successful at their job, and been doing it before anyone else, that the majority of Crossfit gym owners around the inner-west have been trained by Andrew and CrossFit Sydney. Andrew trains and writes programs for elite athletes but has the same approach and skill with beginners.After two years training at f45 I was completely new to Crossfit and within a year at CF Sydney I have never been fitter. My mobility and posture have improved and I’m much stronger thanks to the amazing group programming. Andrew also writes personalised programs, whether for strength or cardio outcomes. He has written me a variety of running programs and I have had great success in beating my previous half marathon PB by over 5 minutes.I have tried many Crossfit gyms and this is the best one, I can’t recommend this gym highly enough.

Yasmin 1234: Excellent gym; really high quality programming and coaching and a very welcoming and chilled atmosphere. Definitely worth travelling out of your way for. They also have a coffee bar and it’s quite easy to get parking in surrounding streets if you go to an early morning or an evening class.

Eve Solomon: I don’t live in Sydney but visit regularly and I make a point of dropping into CrossFit 2010 whenever I’m in town. It’s truly a great place. Challenging programming, friendly community and super knowledgeable and welcoming coaches. I always come away from my visits with better technique and having had a lot of fun. If you’re considering CF 2010, don’t give it a second thought and just go! Thanks Karl & team! See you next time
Adam Love: Loved the classes but the sales person was really inflexible and honestly a little arrogant re memberships. I wanted to pay a few months upfront, but he said no it's direct debit only, with something ridic like 4 (maybe 8?) weeks cancellation notice and OTT fees. Def try Crossfit 168 in the CBD though - they're much more open and flexible with pricing, and there are no lock in contracts!
Jess Curl: I stayed in Sydney and trained here the week I visited and I absolutely loved it! The community was awesome and made me feel like I was apart of the crew from the first day I walked through the door. Sam Vidler: The perfect box for beginners and experienced athletes alike. Huge focus on technique and proper movement. I started from scratch at the start of 2019 and after 9 months I couldn't imagine my weeks without it. The coaches are fantastic, and my workout partners are now my best friends. Saturday team WODs and team brunches get me out of bed even with the worst hangovers. Now I've trained in boxes all over the world and will be forever grateful for the community here. Whether you're a local, a Sydney newbie or just visiting I highly recommend everyone to drop into this box.

Johannes Xie: Great place. I was in Sydney for a couple of weeks and wanted to check it out. Warm and welcoming staff and members. First times can always feel a bit awkward as you try to navigate all the unwritten rules, but within 10 minutes of coming in the door I already felt welcomed and at ease. 😊The facilities are great. Equipment in good condition and the interior is really nice as well.
Federica Conti: Hands down the best Crossfit gym in Sydney. All the coaches are so inspiring and knowledgeable, the program comprises a wide range of different classes ranging from weightlifting to gymnastics and pure cardio. The vibe here is just the best!
Conor Dolan: I did 2 drop in sessions at CrossFit 168 Sydney CBD with 2 different trainers. This is not a place for beginners, I have been doing CrossFit for 5 years and there was about 5 minutes of stretching before jumping into the workouts. This is going to cause people injuries. Also there was no “check in” process before class so it is very hard to feel “welcomed” to the gym. There seems to be quite a few different cliques of people which made it hard to chat with people. If you are advanced at CrossFit and want to just work out and not talk to people this is the place for you. If you are a beginner and / or looking to make friends, avoid this place.

Aislinn Albury: One of the most welcoming, adaptable and attentive gyms I've experienced.The coach's know what you need individually and support you through every movement and every challenge (like working out with a broken foot or programming through lockdowns).I'd recommend to the newest and most experienced gym goer.
Rebecca Kingston: I’ve been a member of Chalk Up for about 12 months now and never thought that I would become a "Crossfitter". Chalk Up has taught me the foundations of Crossfit and the programming and coaches are dedicated to ensuring quality movements rather than pushing heavy weights (definitely a misconception I had about Crossfit). All movements can be scaled to your level and the programming allows you to see and track progress over the 12 week training block. I love the mix of strength and conditioning classes, Olympic weight lifting and gymnastics. I also love the addition of new conditioning and strength classes Engine and Bulletproof. The classes are capped at 12, but more commonly have 6-10 attendees which means you get 1:1 coaching for the price of a group class!There are no big egos or judgements. A very open and welcoming community. The owners, Andrew and Esire, have created a supportive, fun and open minded community that celebrates each other’s wins and supports each other through the more challenging workouts.Having access to a 24 hour training environment is a game changer and I love being able to go in to work on skills or make up missed workouts. All the equipment is well looked after by members and coaches and the environment is well cared for and cleaned.The gym is also dog friendly which is just an added bonus but good motivation to get there every day.

I always thought CrossFit was for extremely fit and strong people only and that I wasn’t going to be able to keep up with the class’ rhythm…and I was so wrong! I was warmly welcomed by the amazing community that Chalk up is! Coaches, environment and programming are all fantastic! Couldn’t recommend more.
Ritnarong Coomber: I started out at a CrossFit box just over 3 and a half years ago back in Tasmania, but then I accepted a job offer and moved to Sydney and put it on hold with settling into a new city, work scheduling, a couple of lockdowns.I did some browsing and tried a couple of other CrossFit gyms and 24/7 ones but they just didn't gel with me. But Chalk Up kept appearing basically first every time with every search, so got in contact and lined up at complimentary session back in May 2021 and have been going along regularly for just over a year now.Having classes capped at 12 is great because it means and feels like you're not getting lost or left behind during a workout; feels like you have more of a 1 on 1 session with the coach during a class. They keep track of your progression and go with 13 week block training period which then leads into testing week and you definitely notices the gains when it's testing time!Andrew, Esire and all the coaches really know they're stuff and truly care for you. I won't be going anywhere unless work posts me somewhere, fingers crossed, hope not!

Karl Germann: Like most people who are after better fitness, I have been a member of the mainstream gyms such as Fitness First and F45.Fitness First never worked because I did not have the motivation to go, was not really sure what to do when there and felt frustrated so ended up paying the membership fees and getting very little return on investment.F45 was slightly better, just a few things that I did not like. Too fast, too intense and I hurt myself which I felt frustrated by. Also, if you do not keep up then too bad. With all of this blur of activity, the instructor hardly has time to spend any meaningful time in terms of advising how best to get the most out of it.Everything changed for me when I started going to CrossFit at Chalk Up.I was pretty wary about CrossFit as in my mind it was a cultish place for super fit people to jump around. I was very wrong in my assumption.I attended a drop-in session just to see for myself. That session was incredibly amazing, revealing and left me wanting more.Chalk Up only hosts 12 members during a session (all conveniently managed by an app). The direct benefit of small group training is that everyone benefits form direct coaching in every session. Plus of course you can observe the coach with others and pick up tips for better movement! The floor area is divided into separate spaces which is great for social distancing. The gym is stocked with a big collection of new weights, plates, dumb-bells etc. with more than enough to choose from and enough for everyone. Even though I had just started, I was instructed incredibly well and all the movements, weights and exercises can be scaled down or scaled up, just depending on where you are at on a personal level.I very soon was very engaged, motivated and energised. Soon after that, I could notice results in my body. Very welcome changes...better vitality, more energy, getting stronger. This of course gets a very positive feedback loop going and it was pretty soon that I saw my body change in a positive way! At first I was just using a bamboo stick to go through the movements, then progressed to the 8kg barbell, then the 15kg one, then the 20kg one. Now, I add plates to that barbell and am amazed at the progression. All coached and curated by Andrew and a team of passionate and knowledgeable professionals.There are numerous compelling reasons to try Chal Up. I would very strongly recommend that you try for yourself and do a drop-in session. I guarantee you that it does not matter what your ability is, you will absolutely be hooked from that first session.Once you have that first session done I know that signing up makes sense. I went in with an open heart and open mind and am now a Chalk Up member for life! The sense of camaraderie and community from the other members is unlike anything else I have experienced and all of the above keeps me motivated and going back for more.I have tried a few other CrossFit boxes in Sydney (and even kept up my training by going to a CrossFit box in Noosa when on holiday). Chalk Up is hands down the very best box that I have experienced and I know that your experience will be very much the same!

Jack Edwards: I never thought I would be the type to join a gym, let alone CrossFit. I gave it a go and realised its focuses on performance over aesthetic, which I love. People of all ages and abilities working together to get better. Chalk up and it’s members were so friendly and supportive, with no judgement. At first I started slow for a few months but it wasn’t long before I was hooked. The programming is experience and varied, the testing every three months shows how much you’ve improved. The coaches are brilliant, friendly and skilled. The classes are small with so much attention to technique that you feel like you have a PT. Mostly the community is great, friends, events, a class that suits all and a damn nice family that run it all together.I couldn’t recommend them any higher as a gym for any level.
Tomasz Biazik: Easily the best crossfit gym I've ever trained at. Classes are small, equipment is great and everything is kept very clean and tidy. Training blocks are very structured, so you know exactly what the focus is. Andrew is very knowledgeable and his patience is absolutely legendary! And he will push you when needed - when you set some goals with him, he will make sure you achieve them... Then there's also this amazing atmosphere, very welcoming and friendly. Everyone is super nice and will cheer you to do your best. You'll definitely make great friends there!

In a short amount of time (5 months) my skills and strength have increased and I am hungry for more. The head coach truly cares for his students and their goals. The programming has been built in a way that the only option is to get better. I couldn't recommend this gym more.
Peter Reid: In my opinion, this is the BEST crossfit gym in Sydney out of the 4 that we've tried over the past 2 years.The head coach/owner Andrew takes pride in every aspect of his gym and puts his heart and soul into his training.•The programs are usually done in blocks (8-12 weeks) with a testing week at the end. All of your set working weights are on a spread sheet so you know exactly what to do each session and get the maximum out if your training. Just need to upload your results to Wodify after each session.• The gym has all new equipment which is constantly being added to. All equipment is cleaned after use which is really reassuring to see during COVID. You're allowed to drop the bar here (10kg plates and up) which is a big plus.• Classes contain a maximum of 12 people so the coach actually has time to get around and see everyone each session. You each get your own lane to work in, which is spacious and you don't feel like you're going to bump into someone. There is also a decent sized stretch area so you can Romwod before class.• There is regular social events: brunches, hikes, beach wods, Chalk Up Games, boat parties. 7pm crew are particularly close 😁We have been on average 4-5 times per week since August 2020 and health-wise I can see my body fat dropping, my resting heart rate dropping, my VO2 Max and muscle mass increasing on my Garmin trackers.I feel my technical ability, strength and conditioning have all improved massively, going from barely 20 unbroken double unders to now over 70. Bench press 110 to 125 in 12 weeks and have nearly mastered handstand push ups! Plus many more pleasing results.So happy to be a part of this wonderful box.Thanks guys!

aLice h: Intimidated by traditional gyms and the lack of support for beginners, I signed up to BeAthletic after some encouragement from friends about the supportive crossfit community.Being extremely unfit, it was daunting to watch the elite athletes pushing through the work-outs seemingly effortlessly, but at the same time very inspiring.Pete and Christian initiated me with some of the basic moves, and I eventually worked up the courage to join some classes. After the first class, I couldn't believe I had waited that long! Every activity listed can be scaled to your fitness level! The coaches watch out for you during the class to check up on you, but also to push you and remind you to meet the goal! (We all need that sometimes) John has also been a key for overcoming my timidity, offering to work out alongside me. Truly priceless support.Other members of the gym have also been friendly and supportive, and you will always find smiling faces there to greet you!The facilities are also great - enough for everyone to get through their work-outs without worrying about sharing equipment. There are a few open gym times during the day too where you can spend time working at your own pace, which I have also taken advantage of.I am so glad I found this place!

What initially struck me when joining a little more than 2x years ago was the tailored familiarisation program which established a base level of skill so that i could feel confident undertaking the programs offered, which helped me as i had no experience in many of the moves. Furthermore, i like the multitude of programs available from 'cross-fit' to more aerobics based 'met-con' to the recent addition of 'functional strength training'. Classes are regular and spread through the day, which helps with my dynamic work life. Finally, the entire team of trainers are very friendly, taking time out to help with your technique and also not hesitating to make sure you push yourself to achieve your fitness goals.

1w22 Robb: Crossfit requires guidance and support to ensure you are doing the exercises correctly. I had tried another gym a few years ago which had a sink or swim culture. I got injured and it wasnt fun. Crossfit Feel Good is absolutely the opposite. Ben is very attentive, tutors and guides with expertise and plenty of personal advice. Especially for new comers. Always a focus on safety, correct technique and working within your limits. I have been going to the "gym" for 12 years before I went to CFFG and let me tell you this place is not like any other place. The people are super supportive and the coaches are knowladgeable. Once you read the gym rules you would understand you are in the right place or you are not :) No lie, sometimes I find myself swearing during the exercise but I always FEEL GOOD afterwards.The coaches are really good observers. Whenever you need help, they come and help and modify the exercise if you need to. You can always find answers to your questions.It is good to see what human body is capable of. Seeing mums are coming to the gym regularly and smashing the workout give you no excuse but the motivation.I learned (and still learning) how to get the most out of time that I spend at the gym and get stronger everyday with really good people. It is very humbling and enjoyable at the same time. It is good for my body and mind&soul.I would recommend CFFG to anyone who wants challenge and to see real results.

Love the people, the atmosphere, the cleanliness, the skill level of coaches and the fact that I do get stronger and fitter. I have been coached by Ben from the very beginning and can't recommend him enough. He has the ability to get the most out of you even when you think you have no more to give! Crossfit is great for everyone and I highly recommend Crossfit Feel Good no matter what age or fitness level you are! It's a great place to make friends and move your body to 'feel good'.
