Kitchens On Kent: what do users think?
Adri: Celebrated my birthday at the interactive buffet.Food was sensational, service was exceptional. We had an amazing time. Thank you, special shout out to our server Ashley.
Vijay Visweswaran: Very good food. Selection could be better. Friendly staff.Food: 5/4|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sen Sen: I'm an honest google review. This is my first and last dining at Kitchen on Kent at Langham. I have no good experience. The host/ waitstaff aren't friendly, not even shown positive gesture, not smile, showing no care with guests. My expectation, though, is that 5 stars dining Langham would be more amazing compared with its competitor Epicurean at Crown. Epicurean at Crown has more varieties of international dishes, modern and the staff are friendly; professional; cares with guests.Once arrived and sit on my table, I need to wait more than 15min for having a glass of water, it's a crucial letting a guest waiting for tap water and hand towel wasn't ready as well until I washed my hand at the toilet. It's unfair for guest, paying a same price on weekdays but special menu only available on Monday (Lobster), Wednesday (Beef Wellington), Friday (Chilli Crab) hence Tuesday and Thursday booking have no special menu meanwhile we paying the same price. Some small items such as straws at drink bobba tea and tea spoon for dessert were empty until I needed to use regular spoon and drink the bobba without straws.I celebrated the anniversary and thought we would receive a complimentary decorations cake (which I saw on social media), but in the end, I received nothing. My partner was a bit upset, honestly.Staff just sent me a bill to pay and said our time has ended.Overall, I just feel an average with this kitchen. I rather prefer Epicurean at Crown, pay a bit more, but worth for great dining experience.
Ben Tong: Nice placeVegetarian options: Buffet styleKid-friendliness: Yes
Steffanie Theola: Disappointed with the experience. Have high expectation with the food variety but turn out the food variety below average. The special food only be made on the specific day while we pay same price. We celebrated anniversary, saw the pastry chefs prepare it but the section waiter not even give it to us and yet we being remind to pay the bill to be kicked out.Water not being poured when we arrive need to wait 15 mins only for water.Staff not attentive enough to look after the guest. Overall bad bad experience for our special occasion for tonight.
Michelle Menjivar: Wonderful experience, great attentive service, scrumptious buffet, the best in Sydney after trying 7 different hotel buffets, highly recommended!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Dessert Station, Carvery, Sushi and Sashimi, Australian Seafood Display …More
Marianne: The service and atmosphere were excellent, creating a delightful dining experience. The seafood and sashimi were of high quality, and the pizzas were delicious as well. I like the idea of the option to request custom-cooked dishes such as noodles, stir-fries, grilled prawns, fish, and skewers (beef, chicken ).However, at a price of $138 per head, the buffet seemed overpriced and didn't offer an extensive selection, especially when it came to hot food options and no lobster at that time. The Asian section lacked spring rolls, fried rice, and only had a limited choice of dumplings and a couple of Asian hot dishes( I think 2 to 3 options only). In the Japanese section, there were only three sushi options and seaweed available. The Western section didn't include beef sirloin or side dishes like vegetables, mashed potatoes, or chips. Soft drinks, coffee, and tea were not included, and there was no soup on offer. I think on cheese section only one bread is available. The dessert was disappointing, with a lack of flavor or taste, although the ice cream stood out as a tasty choice. As for fruits, only strawberry, pineapple and rockmelon were available. The juice lacked taste and resembled water.Comparatively, Harvest Buffet at the Star offers a superior experience and better value for the price.
Mila T: There are so many selections from Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Indian, seafood, BBQ, and make your own Chatime. The desserts section was mouth-watering. All those little cakes are amazing. The staffsParking: Valet from the hotel or otherwise paid parking somewhere closer.
BK CHAE: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Tristan Kan: There food range was really small the quality of the food was great but the staff was friendly but was very slow at everything and they don’t come and collect any of the plates and the refill of the bubble tea was very slow. But the bubble tea was okey. AND they decided NOT to put up the Mango green tea and put peach jasmine tea and absolutely zero range of Perls will I see others with a wide range of Perl AND with mango green tea.
Eduardo Dela Rosa: Family and friends have absolutely had a memorable and fantastic dinner at KOK. The food (from tonnes of choices, flavour, quality, and freshness) were all superb. It was the first time for me, my family and friends to visit this place and I can vouch for its family-friendly atmosphere and ambiance. All staff were so welcoming, friendly, and helpful - and looked after us all - particularly those with small children - throughout the dining experience.Heaps of thanks to all the staff (5:30pm 20-May-2023) who made our dining experience so memorable. Great customer service deserves great compliments from us customers. Will definitely come and visit again.
jack: Went for dinner on mothers day. Incredible service, everyone was so friendly and the food quality is up there. Great selection of seafood and cuisines. Some of the food cooked to order including a grilling station. Dessert section includes a chocolate fountain, unlimited soft drinks and even a bubble tea sections. Definitely worth a visit
Therese L: Great experience. Really fresh seafood. The variety isnt as extensive as a lot of other buffets like the epicurean but what they do have is really amazing. Very beautiful restaurant.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Jonathan Wong: It is my first time to Kitchens on Kent at the Langham Hotel. The buffet dinner was simply excellent, the seafood were fresh and there were a large variety of desserts. I will definitely visit again as the service from the staff and chef were superb. But overall the atmosphere in the buffet was quite relaxing and with music and aromatic fragrance it made my experience more enjoyable.Parking: There are on street parking for 2 hrs which is more than enough time for the buffet.
Maria Lu: Recommended dishes Sydney Rock Oysters, Sushi and Sashimi, Cheese Selection, Robata Grill Dinner Only, Carvery, Dessert Station, Lobster, Australian Seafood Display Dietary restrictions accommodated None of the aboveMore
Tristan Guo: It did not feel like a high end buffet restaurant, the food was just ok, many of the items were cooked to order and we had to remember to get the food ourselves after 10-15 mins as said by the ‘chefs’. With the 2 hour seating time this way of service was terrible, with the food being average the service provided felt like a food court with different cuisines but at the food court the food is still hot and served to you not u having to remember the time and go to pick up your food. The worst part was the seafood, the oysters were not skulked properly and the lobster on the night was dry bland over cooked and simply uneatable. The prawns was ok but submerged with msg. However the sashimi bar was good, but the ‘chefs’ don’t really know how to serve, placing the sashimi on my hot food… what the heck? There was minimal food that was actually prepared at the hot bar and the bubble tea was ok, there was only coke and Diet Coke at the soft drink bar… simply disappointing. The only good was the gelato which was good. To conclude this is not a buffet restaurant. Do not come here for buffet, but the afternoon tea is good.
Teh Say Chun: Extremely disappointing. Do not let the high price ($140 p/p) fool you, the food and overall buffet experience is really bad.Summary: The buffet selection is really small. Food is low quality. Service is subpar.Seafood section:- Oysters are really small, coin sized. What a joke, normal seafood shops don’t even sell oysters this small. They are also not shucked properly so almost everyone of them have shell fragments in the meat.- Bugs are not fresh enough, it’s very dry and smells a little.- Prawns are good.- Crabs are very small, not worth the effort eating.- The sashimi bar is the only section that is decent, but they only have three types of fish.Hot food:- there are less than 10 dishes across all cuisines to choose from. (E.g. 2 dish in Asian section, 2 in Indian section.) Very poor selection.- All the “hot” foot are not hot. They are barely warm!- The meat especially pork and beefy are all chewy and rubbery.Desert:- Cheesecake taste like literal cream cheese.- Stale waffles.- Really dry chocolate cake. Feels like it’s been sitting in the fridge for a long time. There are no hot beverages unless you pay extra to order. No fruits, no fried food if any kind.Service:- they do not clean your plate away while you get seconds.- fresh plates are often dirty with food marks, you have to go through to find clean onesThis place is truely shocking consider how much they charge u.

Noreen Mae Orquinaza: The service was impeccable. They have really good serving portions and the food are flavourful. The team made our wedding anniversary dinner extra special with an on the house dessert and a thoughtful card. Will definitely go back! A really good experience/treat for yourself or for friends/family for special occasions.Special mention to Antoine, who was superb! Very accommodating and sensitive to our needs.
Mila Gmitrovic: We are family of four who dinned in obar to mark special occassion, 18th birthday. Everything was perfect! Unique atmosphere and attentive staff. Thank you Obar for creating lifelong memories.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sigrid Buela: The waiter on our side was unprofessional in answering our questions. One instance was when my husband asked him about what to order for a 3-course meal, it was our first time dining at your restaurant so we are not familiar and just making sure, that waiter responded in a rude tone with "I already told you this" before answering him. He was also sarcastic and seemed annoyed. This made our mood a bit sour as I saw a difference on how he assisted us and with the other dining customers. However, I still gave him the benefit of the doubt.Second, I saw that the customers across our table, who were celebrating a birthday as well, were given a birthday card/voucher/gift, I'm not sure what it was but the women thanked the waiter for the gift and a "Happy Birthday" was written on the card. I am not sure why my husband wasn't treated the same as I have mentioned in my booking that we are also celebrating his birthday.
Avalon Davy: Amazing! Food was exceptional, service on point, atmosphere lovely and alll round experience was very memorable!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jules Niko: A beautiful environment with the perfect view. Unfortunately for the price we paid, we’ve had way better degustation food. The beef was very rubbery, the chicken pretty standard. The oysters were sooo tasty and so was the dessert. We weren’t really impressed when they secretly add the gratituities to the final bill which I believe to be rude as it’s up to me whether the service was deserving of a tip or not. Overall, a nice evening but I rather go to other restaurants that give the degustation experience as well such as Aria,Rockpool and Altitude.
Paul Diss: We had reservations for dinner and were seated by the window. The view and atmosphere were both incredible! The service and food tasting menu were also both outstanding and would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice evening out!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Graham: My son and I visited last year for a special ocation, the food was excellent, i dont mind tipping if the service is excellen to be levied with a tip after: 1st knocking a wine glass over, 2nd knocking our bottle of wine over..have not visited since.
Daroy Cortwright: I recently went on a date at O Bar and Dining, this awesome contemporary restaurant and cocktail bar situated on the 47th floor of the Australia Square Tower in Sydney CBD. Let me tell you, the view from up there was absolutely mind-blowing! We snagged a table right by the window, and the panoramic 360-degree views of the city skyline and the sparkling Harbour during Vivid were simply breathtaking. And guess what? They even had this cool light display cocktail and share plate that perfectly matched the vibe. Now, onto the food. We decided to go all out and indulge in the five-course set menu, along with an extra course. I gotta say, those dishes were like pieces of art! Seriously, check out the photos I've attached. The attention to detail in every meal was incredible, from the presentation to the explosion of flavors. It was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. When it came to drinks, we had a mix of both drinkers and non-drinkers in our group. Luckily, O Bar and Dining had a great selection of cocktails and mocktails to please everyone. Although, I should mention that the mocktails tended to be on the sweeter side. But hey, if you have a sweet tooth, you'll absolutely love them! The atmosphere at O Bar and Dining was vibrant and lively. The music was just right—not too loud, not too soft. We could enjoy our conversations without straining our vocal cords. However, if someone has difficulty hearing, they might find it a bit challenging due to the ambient noise. The service we received was top-notch. From the hostess to the wait and bar staff, everyone was on their A-game. We showed up a bit early for our reservation, but they quickly seated us without any hassle. The staff explained the whole five-course dining experience to us, and we even splurged on some caviar with one of the courses. The wait staff seemed genuinely excited to engage with us, although at times, we had multiple people describing the same dish, which was a bit amusing. One minor thing to note: one of the waiters hastily stacked all the plates on his arm, which seemed a bit out of place in such a fancy dining spot. Now, let's talk about the price. Look, it's not the cheapest place in town, but trust me, it's worth every penny if you're after a memorable experience. This is the kind of night you won't forget. The jaw-dropping views, the meticulously crafted food, the attentive service, and the vibrant atmosphere—they all come together to create an unforgettable dining adventure. I wouldn't hesitate to go back for another round of fantastic moments.Parking: This is in the CBD of Sydney, you're better off driving and catching a train or tram.Wheelchair accessibility: This venue is wheelchair accessible.
lumsing: The views were stunning, the food was delicious and the service was great! The views made more stunning with Sydney lighting up during vivid. They even had light up cocktails during vivid. I could have easily stayed up there a few more hours! Nice vibe, tables were spaced apart well enough that you can actually hear your friends talking and not everything else around you. Fab experience!

Inspired4me2You: VIVID UPDATECombine excellent food service and surrounding with the magic of vivid festival. A lovely way to view the lights of vivid.Perfect food, views and serviceHighly recommend this restaurant the overall experience was exceptional. We booked the silver experience for four of us which included guaranteed window seat (a must have), a glass of champagne and 3 course meal - a choice of entree, main and desert all were fantastic. Food beautifully presented on lovely and unusual plates. We also got some oysters as an extra. The wine list extensive, wine poured from a decanter into nice glassware. It’s the little extra touched that make this a must place to go with your family, on a date (they have proposal packages) or with a few friends. Also have some single seats at a bar that looks over the city. It was a birthday and they brought out a small cake with a candle, a small birthday card and handmade chocolates. All unprompted just had birthday in the booking! The restaurant slowly spins so the view is ever changing.Walkable from train station and restrooms excellent.Love your local guide - M❤️Like me or follow for more recommendation

It really was a lovely touch and made us feel quite special. We enjoyed the music that was playing in the venue and the waitresses were all very polite. Looking forward to coming back for our next anniversary celebration!
Sandra Pelfrey: I would definitely NOT recommend this activity. I booked the Infinity dinner for myself and my daughter over 6 months ago. We went on Friday, May 26th after arriving in Sydney. We were looking forward to this very much. First, our reservation was for 8:15 pm. We didn’t get called until 8:35. (This was something that can be understandable) That being said, there were empty tables when we got up there so there was no reason for us to have had to wait. Next, we ended up at a buffet instead of the Infinity dinner that I had reserved. Had I have wanted a buffet, I would have reserved a buffet. My daughter and I were hungry so we just went to the buffet. The food was HORRIBLE!!! Absolutely HORRIBLE!!!! My daughter tried the food and ended up not liking it so she just ate the soup. I tried everything on the buffet and didn’t like it so I decided to just try the desserts. As I was walking back to the table, I noticed a hair on the plate. Thinking I was surely imagining it, I pulled the hair. It was literally embedded in the cake. The entire piece moved when I pulled it. I called the server over and showed him. God as my witness, he picked the piece of cake up BY THE HAIR and walked away with it. I have never, ever, ever seen anything like this before. It was like it was part of the ingredient. I told my daughter to finish her soup and we were leaving. She wanted dessert but I told her just stay away from it. I wasn’t about to tell her what happened as she would have gotten sick immediately. The server came over, apologized and offered us a complimentary drink. I refused the offer and we left. Looking back, I should have asked for the manager and showed them the hair in the cake. Much, much to my regret I didn’t. This was an absolute disaster of an experience. I paid for The Infinity dinner and ended up at a buffet with hair in my dessert. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place!!!! I wouldn’t even recommend it to anyone - ever!!!!

Best Restaurants of Australia: what do users think?
Danielle Watts: Gift cards hardly accepted anywhere, nothing within a 100km radius of where I live. The website is deceiving and makes you believe when you buy a gift card that it is accepted at the restaurants on the website. It’s not until I emailed them that you have to select a filter to show accepting restaurants which is nothing but pizza capers (within a 100km of where I live), who wants to spend $100 at a fast food restaurant (no offence to them). When I asked for a refund of the card because it’s not as they portrayed it to be they simply sent me their website directory and said I can buy wine with it if that doesn’t suit (not a wine drinker either).Would not recommend purchasing a gift card from this website, instead go directly to the restaurant.
Debendro Nath Mallick: Location very beautiful. Management very fine and supply good food.

Andy Abramson: 3.75 - not what I expected from the rave reviews. Unsigned hotel restaurant. Solid food but not really that special. Cocktails were a bit uninspired vs what I expected.
Radhika Ram: Cocktails are so yum 😋 Customer service was awesome too.
James A: We had high expectations for this place given the good reviews but was pretty disappointed. Entree prawn gnocchi came with three small prawns and three pieces of gnocchi. The bread entree tasted stale/hard and barely any hummus. The monkfish sounded good but was literally beer battered fish and chips. The vegetarian terrine was good but small. The cheesecake desert was excellent though. Overall not amazed.

Inuk Morissette: What a fantastic dining experience. Honestly some of the best service I've ever had and I have been to many high end restaurants. The food was perfectly cooked. juicy pork, perfect steak and mash. perfect custard eclair. i would highly recommend this place.

Matthew Faulkner: Waiters, food and venue is superb
Coco Pumar Plus: Had a birthday dinner with my partner a few days ago and we had the BEST Riverina Scotch Fillet.
Jason Brandt: We ate breakfast here while staying at the Mercur hotel. In the early morning hours a single staff member can be seen getting bread set out, filling juice containers and eventually setting out the hot food. It is enjoyable to watch the softly lit rooms with steam rising around the copper lids of the hot serving station. This solitary early morning worker is fantastic and treated us exceptionally well. When honey replaced maple syrup for pancakes he brought the maple syrup to my 7 year old because he knew that is what she wanted. The food selections in the breakfast buffet were wonderful. Each day many items stayed the same, but a few changes occurred day to day. I loved trying new foods along with regular favorites. Our entire family (ages 84 to 4) was disappointed when we had an early morning tour and missed breakfast. Overall, starting and ending our “opposite side of the planet” holiday here was great.
Ruth Barrows: Mecure, make sure you really recognise this positive, friendly, professional, understanding young man, Riley at the front of platform 18 for breakfasts and at Eves during the day. We stayed at mecure for a week and Riley was consistently wonderful to every patron he made contact with.He made our experience at mecure worth coming back for.RILEY your positive spirit shines through in everything you do. Your an inspiration obviously to everyone you work with. Never lose this!!
Ms Lyn: Classy Eatery and a COVID safe venue 😷Its my birthday, my darling sis decided to surprise me and boy was I surprised. The venue is vibrantly chic with jazz background music, not too loud. Very cosy. The service was impeccable. Greeted with a friendly happy voice sound coming from her mask. I could already imagine her smile.Everyone gave their best service on that night and I was immensely happy. It’s my birthday, so I got a perfect cocktail tailored to my taste which was amazing. Thank you ! 🍹The crowd pleaser was the chocolate truffle brûlée which was very artistically theatrical. What a great night - Highly recommend.Special mention to Ann. Thank you for your friendly attitude.
Jaimie Henry: Had a really lovely meal on the Truffle Thursday set menu via First Table. Setting is nice although hard to pin into a category- had a rustic/jazz bar feel to it but more importantly generally manages to avoid the "hotel restaurant" vibe (it's based in the Mercure).Service was attentive and really enthusiastic. Food was well cooked and high quality. Restaurant was clearly following COVID precautions without being pushy or over the top.Highlight for me was the gin cocktail they had on special - really inventive. Wine pairings with the menu were good, but not outstanding.Overall would recommend for a visit and is especially good value if on a special offer.
Emily Lam: Booked for two and had an enjoyable experience up until we were served the smoke trout tartare. My partner found bones in his dish so informed one of the waitresses. She apologised and said she would let the chef know and come back to our table. Quite some time passed before she did and we were so shocked at what she said - "Sometimes you get bones but some of our customers like this... they like the crunch". I completely understand if bones are found (it's human error and inevitable) but this excuse was really absurd! Other than that, the other waitstaff were lovely and the rest of the food was fine. We wouldn't return based on our experience with this waitress and the smoked trout tartare.
Frank Chouinard: Georgia really looked after us this evening who was absolutely LOVELY. Food and drinks were great but the service was phenomenal. Shout out to Alice and Ann also. Will definitely revisit when this all passes
Hugo Brown: I really enjoyed my dinner here, the food was amazing the Will Stud Haloumi was amazingly tasty. I also loved my fancy Gin & Tonic with Fairy Floss and the staff are very friendly, and decor of restaurant is beautiful which all makes for relaxing & peaceful dinner.Highly recommend especially dyring this time of Covid, When we can support our local Restaurant. Also the price is not as expensive as you'd think very reasonable.
Nicola Doherty: Great food! And a special thanks to the chef who cooked me something not on the menu! Service is also excellent, will be back!
Justin S: Magnificent cocktails, staff.
Jeffrey Snyder: My partner and I had a fantastic dining experience at Platform 818. Our server Anne was lovely and attentive, the food was delicious and they also accommodated their tasting menu to be vegetarian! Also very reasonably priced for 5 course!

Naim Kassar: What a shame the menu has changed and is limited.. disappointed. Reasonably good food - sad portions.Better Thai restaurants have opened since. Shame.Food: 5/2|Service: 5/4|Atmosphere: 5/4 …More
Natalie Caldwell: Fast Thai food for a quick dinner. In and out in less than an hour but we didn’t feel rushed, the food just came out fast! We just had two mains which was the perfect amount of food for two people to share. We had the pad see ew and red curry with chicken. The noodles seemed to have more egg than noodles and only a few pieces of the Chinese broccoli stalks. The curry was a fantastic flavor and spice, but there wasn’t a ton to it (basil, chicken, spicy peppers, young eggplant). Overall, solid flavors and good food.
Ger Enright: WE FELT VERY UNWELCOME!! WE WERE REMINDED SEVERAL TIMES ON OUR WAY TO THE TABLE THAT WE HAD TO LEAVE BY A CERTAIN TIME.Not necessary as it also states the Limited time on the website.Way too much Sugar in the main meals.Food: 5/1|Service: 5/1|Atmosphere: 5/1 …More
David Casey: Food was great. Cocktails have slipped. Thai Basil Smash, had way too much ice and no chilli. Craft beer options reasonable, but a bit exy.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/4|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Nur Izyan Ahmad: Hands down the best Thai food we’ve ever had. You think you’d find it in Thailand, but no, it’s at Long Chim Sydney. Every dish was well seasoned, elevated from the usual Thai food we’re accustomed with. Atmosphere was spot on, with rustic yet elegant interior. Service was quick and staff were all attentive even though it was a very busy Friday night. A real unforgettable experience.Vegetarian options: We saw that they had a separate vegetarian menu. Very thoughtful indeed.
Fiona Inverarity: never felt so rushed I was aware of our 90 minute window but to be reminded 3 times well before as we sat finishing our drinks was very annoyingFood: 5/4|Service: 5/1|Atmosphere: 5/3 …More

Irene Marantos: Had an 8.45pm reservation for 6 people. Arrived on time but was rushed through ordering, delivery of meal and by 9.45pm they had asked us several times whether we wanted the bill. We replied 'No' but were still given the bill. They shouldn't take 8.45pm reservations if they want their patrons rush us through their dinner. Good meal but poor table service.
vishwajeeth V: Food was amazing.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/4 …More
Olivia AC: "And here's something I prepared earlier"... food was all cold, ordered the set $99pp menu, and very disappointed. Thai cooking is based on the art of umami and delicately balancing flavours, gotta say the balance was way off for most dishes. Chinese broccoli and oyster sauce is not even thai - better off morning glory chilli and fermented soya bean. Green curry excessively salty and spicy, eggplant dish strong anaiseed /fennel flavour and not much else, cold chicken, salad options instead of hot dishes because they are pre-prepared. Best dishes were the entrees cashews, whitebait and betel leaf. Really underwhelming for the price.
Sean Kennedy: Still thinking about the banquet here a few weeks later. Amazing flavours, make sure you are ok with chilli though. The whiting was a highlightFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/4 …More

tormus1: Very fine restaurant. Excellent food and service.
Joulia Joukhador: Hi , just to thank you for another amazing dinner and waiter service over the weekend. Always an experience we enjoy. However I was a bit disappointed this time when we were greeted at the front desk to get quickly shuffled to a small table by a pillar centre floor(we had pre booked months ago!! ) When I tried to express the importance and excitement of our birthday dinner for my son I was responded to “ oh ! I hope you expect nothing special tonight.. full house!! “I think the disappointment showed on my face as we were then moved to a more comfortable table.I know there is alot of pressure in all industries at the moment but that was to me verbally rude. Just a welcome and happy birthday would of done it! Did not at all expect anything else. However, as usual the wait staff made up for it and food amazing .See you again soon as it’s one of my sons favourite restaurant .J J
Peta McConachie (Postcards from Peta): 👀 Had been on the list for ages and the foodies wanted to go so we did a little group dining date. Long Chim means “come and try” – and their menus propose just that – a balanced and generous selection of the best dishes they can cook. Described as “The best Thai food in Sydney”.💥 Inside the Long Chim lair is a lot of aqua, murals x with industrial, exposed bricks - such a vibe!💁🏼‍♀️ You can tell how good it is by its longevity, Chef David Thompson is definitely doing something right, especially with the carefully curated feed me menus. Thai milk tea which didn’t really go with savoury food but I love asian milk teas! Their drink lists have cocktails, mocktails, beer, cider and a whole page of wines to choose from.🍴 We did the Maa Long Chim Feed Me MenuEntrees:Chicken & Tapioca Dumpling (Coriander, Fried Garlic) these were cool even with the textureVegetable Spring Roll (fresh glass noodles, shiitake mushrooms)Grilled Pork Skewer (Condensed Milk, Fish Sauce)Palm Sugar Beef Floss (Coconut Sticky Rice, Crispy Shallot)Main dishes:Sour Orange Curry Of Prawn (Choy Sum Tomatoes)Stir Fried Chinese Broccoli (Oyster Sauce)Som Tum (spicy green papaya, peanuts, dried prawn)Jasmine RiceSteamed Fish From The Market (Spring Onion, Pickled Plums) - this was probably my fav, very deliciousSoft Shell Crab Prik King (Kaffir Lime, Snake Beans, Grachai, Red Chilli)Green Curry Of Chicken (Basil Eggplant, Coconut Cream) (additional dish)Desserts:Thai Tea Ice Cream (Pistachio Coconut Jelly)Coconut Cake✨ Really yummy, really good value, would recommend!
