Elena L: I've been shopping here regularly and was quite pleased with the service and produce selection. However, last time I was making a purchase, I saw a huge live brown cockroach on the cashier's monitor located right next to the sandwich display. When I pointed it out to the cashier (young Asian male), he ignored my comment. I thought that maybe he didn't hear me, so I told him about the cockroach again, this time literally pointing at it as it was crawling across the back of the monitor, but my comment was completely ignored again. The employee just smiled and promptly move on to serving another customer. No attempt to get rid of the cockroach crawling right next to the food was made. I found this pretty alarming with their easy to access sandwich display and open baskets of bread. Hope the owner takes notice!

Anna: I used to be a frequent customer for this grocer. I used to like their salad and deli, you pick what you like and the staff was really nice.There were some time I bought their yohgurt drink in the fridge and it had mold when I opened.I couldn't drink it but I liked one friendly staff and their tasty salad so I was kept returning.At one time there was no price tag for some cookies that I wanted but I wasn't sure for the price.I took this unknown price cookie to the cashier (there was a owner) and it was quite expensive for the cookie compared to the rest of the shelf with the price.I got worried that the owner may have over charged the price because of me.I felt little suspicous at that stage and I didn't see the nice staff working there anymore. I still came back this grocer before going to my office.One day, the owner gave me short change and I decided no longer going back anymore.I told this story to my colleague and surprisingly my colleague also stopped going here about the same time.My colleague (he) ordered espresso and he saw the barista didn't change to a fresh ground coffee. The barista did a shot that has already been used for a previous customer still hooked on the espresso machine. It wasn't drinkable.We didn't go back ever since. I hope their service got better and not doing these things anymore toother people.

Joe Wakim: Not very happy with my online order.I do not normally post negative reviews online, but this was a truly dissapointing experience.I ordered 2 pieces of cheese online on Sunday the 19th of December as I needed them for Christmas. I felt uncomfortable going in store due to the recent covid cases.I rang the store the next day and the gentleman that answered assured me that delivery only takes a couple of days.I waited till the 23rd after no word and rang the store again. A person said he will check up on my order and get back to me "as soon as possible".Since then , I have tried to ring the store multiple times with no answer. It is now January 5th and I have not recieved or heard anything from the store.I feel if this is an 'end of year busy' thing, you should at least let the customer know that there will be delays.At the very least when told that they would get back to me 'as soon as possible', maybe not just ignore me.Dissapointed as a first time customer
Wulala Asabulu: They now open up a cafe in front of the store. Coffee is from Pablo & Rusty, pretty good. Only had a slice of pizza but the prosciutto and mozzarella cheese on it was quite good. Probably have some other Italian desserts next time.

I ordered from the website, and after 2 weeks had heard nothing. So I sent a message asking if the item has been shipped. The next day I received automated notification that the item has been posted. No personal message, not apology. Nothing. I replied saying this is not acceptable and asking for my order to be cancelled. No response. Nothing. Completely ignored. All I ACTUALLY wanted was acknowledgement that my order went missing, and apology. So I would avoid at all costs as this clearly isn't a business which cares about customers.

Vrinda Sachdev: I “WAS” a regular to this place for lunch. But after experiencing the worst hospitality ever. From a regular to never, in a split second. I used to go there quite a few times a week and I know how the portion works and what they charge for. I paid freaking $13 for a box of chips and a smallest piece of grilled chicken. Really, are you kidding me? In $13, a box was filled with chips and a tiny piece of chicken and not to forget, I paid extra for the sauce, and it was drizzled as a garnish. When I told the lady that “I think the service is too less”, the lady went back to cashier and loudly in front of all the other customers says-“ This lady claims that she has been getting more serving of chicken than this”. So unprofessional of the ladies working at the front. I know what I asked for, it was nothing that I was treated that way. Instead of understanding the situation, they became defensive. Never going back again to that place. Wintergarden Deli can keep all your attitude with themselves but stop RIPPING off people. Disgraceful. Good luck to the owner for having such front house staff.

David Casa: The food is great & high quality, absolutely love it, on the negative the service is dismal & frustrating. The way people being served needs some type of order i.e. ticket numbering system. Over the years, the number of times people would be waiting in line, then someone enters pushes in & staff happily would serve that person, happens countless times. In the past few months, I usually go early mornings, I would be the only person there waiting to be served. Rocco will be stacking the shelves, no joke after seven minutes I need to always ask Rocco if he wants to serve me. I have been told that if your not Italian he won’t serve you, I’m full Italian, so I’m not sure what his problem is, I’m not the only one he does this to. Rocco looks miserable & unhappy, if his not happy leave & take up Uber driving, hmmm maybe not as it requires customer service & actually helping people.
Lola: My mom watches an Italian cooking tv channel in Canada and that’s how we discovered this wonderful deli on the other side of the world and the lovely family who owns it. Ask for the antipasti (picture is of the Star of the Show)💕

Lizzy Brown: It's not often (never, infact) that I write a review about a place I ran into once to get a coffee. But Biancas Deli just had a vibe that was positive, warm, interesting, authentic. And the two gentlemen working that day were polite, to the point, relaxed, and made an excellent coffee!! It was delicious. They had a 'different from the usual' range of foods and tiny tables to sit at if you want to escape the heat. Love it in there.

James Alexander: Been here before at around opening time and never had an issue ordering a Reuben as they are remarkably excellent although this trip, I try to always fit in a visit when up from Melbourne, was told no, only make them after 10am. What a shame, didn't think a Reuben had opening hours! Was my go to breakfast when in Sydney and flying out that morning.

J. King: Good food, however the service and service design dampened the experience.There was only one person taking orders and giving ready ones, at the same spot, during peak hour. If you order online it tells you to skip the queue, but people in the queue (rightfully) get annoyed at those who skip - particularly as it's a cramped space. No one likes to have confrontations with other customers, and this can easily be changed by Brooklyn Bridge Deli. This haphazard system doesn't make for a good experience.

Even though we had a booking at the bar, they were very accomodating in organising us a table upstairs in the dining room. Lively buzzing atmosphere with funky tunes playing in the background. We even got to see magic tricks performed by one of the staff members. The steak was my favourite dish of the night and it paired so well with the green beans salad. The scallops were absolutely delicious as well. Even the potatoes had a delicious unique flavour. And this is definitely the place to have a cheese & charcuterie board. You must try the puff pastry pear compote dessert as well.

Alexandra Zhu: A lovely family run deli. Chanced upon this while looking for lunch and they happily made us rolls with whatever meat, cheese and Mediterranean vegetables we chose. They don't skimp on the fillings and it was very affordable (about $20 for 3 rolls!)

Nick Exikanas: Excellent deli with a wide array of high quality Portuguese delights including cold meats, artisan cheeses, freshly baked bread, Atlantic Ocean sardines in the freezer cabinet (if you’ve never barbecued these over hot coals, you have to try it), soft drinks, sweets, canned goods and more. Charlie’s Deli is a store we keep coming back to. Parking can be a pain on weekends but it’s worth it.
