Robert Spriggs: Wholly inadequate packaging: soft toy sent in thin plastic back that was ripped in four places when it arrived, and toy dirty. Fortunately managed to clean the toy so as not to waste resources by returning it. But P&P charges easily covered better packaging that a 15c bag. Also note that their "insurance" covers the fact they "will assist you with making a claim with the courier" and not actually do anything themselves.Customer service never responded to my message.Once star given as the shipping was fast.

They have two warehouses in Sydney where you can pick up an item within hours of online purchase without waiting for delivery by post. I brought a trike from them and was able to pick up within midday from the warehouse. I had to return it as the height was too low for my child. The customer service was very prompt to advice on phone. I returned it back to the warehouse the next day and was able to get a refund. I brought a larger version of the same trike immidiately on line and was able to pick up from the store then and there (thanks to Ruth on customer service desk). It saves a lot of time expecting delivery coming home when you shop from online stores.The only issue this they do not respond to email queries. If youc all them, they fix your issue very quickly.They have a huge collection of toys and thebest price for them. Looking forward to buy more toys from them,
Sarah Barolli: I purchased 2 books from Discount Toy Co, once I received them both the spines on the books were damaged with one even having a tear in it. I sent an email as soon as I opened the box - no response for 10 days. I called them and asked if they received my email and was advised that because I didn't pay for insurance there's nothing they could do. I explained to them that it wasn't a shipping issue it was the way the books were packaged - the box was too small the spines were over the edge of the box and weren't even wrapped in anything. They told me that they've never had an issue like this so they wouldn't take responsibility for the damaged books. Offered me a 10% refund which totals to $5 which is no use to me as I now have to repurchase them as they were a gift.

Janet Wang: Very terrible customer service, I asked for Xmas gift wrapping, staff(middle aged, probably store manager?) ignorantly says you don’t know how to wrap? The way she talks is so rude that made you feel you are not a customer but a trouble maker. Other toy shops they do gift wrapping for free, which I thought toymate would do the same, I even purchased a roll of wrapping paper there. Especially during festive season, no gift wrapping service provided and argue with customers in that way is not very appropriate, I highly doubt how long it can operate and compete with other toy shops if hire staff like this, she needs more training in how to respond to customers. It is not a matter of providing wrapping service or not, it is the way you communicate and business values behind it. She tried to defend saying we don’t have enough space for gift wrapping, we are just too busy bla bla bla…instead of finding excuses, why not just pass this message to operator/management, I am giving feedbacks not come to argue. So disappointed. Please provide more trainings or arrange more casuals during busy time, then staffs won’t be that stressful and full of negative energy towards customers.

Ruchita Sharp: Sarah, the manager was absolute rude and doesn't know how to provide good customer service. She couldn't price match 5% off as advertised outside the shop which she said she have to put it because it comes from head office and she has no control over it. If it is true than its false advertising.The same toy was $34 in Kmart and she denied that she can't give the price match as it's click and collect. She should be provided training for English first that click and collect means it's available in stock and in the store with that price. She is training new people in the store of the wrong attitude which would only make the business lose not just 5% but 100% of customers. I would not recommend anyone to this store moving forward. I m just amazed how this kind of people are hired as manager. This can only mean closed down of shop very soon.
Nigel Sharp: Massive sign out the front that says "price match" but they don't actually do a price match at all. The manager was quite rude in the process of denying the price match of a fully stocked item that was also fully stocked in Kmart downstairs but cost $6.00 less. We used to come here and spend hundreds of $$$'s each year but we'll think twice in future and consider other ways of buying our Christmas and birthday gifts. Shame really.

Ahmad: A nice department store in the CBD. 10 floors of shopping mostly female clothes etc. Also home wares and some mens items.Sadly, as of 10 Jun 2023, they closed the delicatessen section. The old DJs had more food sections, but the reduction from two to one building means lots of food options and other shopping options were closed down.

I went to return a piece of clothing, and she kept saying that the clothes had a smell, but we found several people randomly and they confirmed that there was no smell. However the manager kept saying "the clothes is smelly". (This one has only been tried once)

Blue Cow: The staff are relatively nice but the older lady on level 4 working at the registers at 2.20pm 08/06/2023 was very rude. She had no name tag and was discriminative. The box order didnt match the item inside, (which was packed that way) and she was telling me off about how this will affect their stocktake. I had no partake in why the box was different to the insides yet shes blaming me and being rude. She also didnt ask if I was a member. Other staff are always pleasant and nice.

Ritz Bitz: Conveniently located near Hyde Park and St James Station. David Jones is having a sale right now for many of their items. I especially love that they have a Fortnum and Mason section in their food hall, and also the cakes and breads counter.

When I insisted if the dress is of good quality, she confirmed it was ‘new’ and ‘in the package’.To my disappointment, the item arrived faulty. All the 6 bust linings on the dress were visibly loose. The left shoulder strap was stained. This item apparently was unfit for sale.Given I had already called the store beforehand, I honestly don’t know what else I could have done to prevent getting a compromised product.More disappointingly, I had to either pay a visit to a store to return in person, or pay a shipping fee to return online. The shipping fees for both delivery and refund are not refunded.Comparing to David Jones Bourke Street Mall, the staff was able to advise me when their products were faulty. And comparing to other brands (e.g. COS), faulty product refunds also cover the shipping fee (as per their T&C).The staff’s lack of due diligence on this purchase resulted in unnecessary purchase and refund processes, and costing extra time reporting this incident to the management. The wonderful store attendee Yamin helped us, she considered the building experience, release dates by month, and my nephews interests to help my mum and I choose the perfect gifts! Keith: Up until the last month or so this was such a wonderful place to shop. I work in the center and have done for several years, so often come in during my breaks to browse and buy. So the change in atmosphere is clear and extremely disappointing.The new manager Dyson acts like a tyrant, and I was really disgusted with the way he spoke to a female staff member in front of me and other customers.Really hope these changes are temporary, because it really feels like the magic has left this place, I'll be shopping elsewhere in future.

Cher Kang: I have purchased birthday and holiday gifts for many of my friends at this Lego store in Broadway since the beginning of this year, spending over $1000 AUD in total. Since I am not a fan of Lego myself, I am not a member of the store. Most of the time my shopping experience at this store was very satisfying, but today, I had a very bad experience. I purchased a Lego toy for my friend before Christmas, but since my friend already had one just like it, I came in today with my purchase record and receipt for a refund. A clerk, I think it was called Anthony, acted very impatient and first told me in a very arrogant tone that the receipt I provided didn't look right. (The receipt I provided was the same one the clerk gave me when the store checked out for me, so if there was a problem with the receipt, it was a management issue at your store, not a reason to question the customer in a very bad tone). Secondly, he told me that he can only give me a refund into the account points, I said that is the only way I have no other choice, and then he actually said I can also not return the things to take back, in short, the tone is very unfriendly. Then he started blaming the scratches on the box (which was really a small one on the side) and finally gave me the procedure in a very reluctant tone. He made me feel very oppressed and uncomfortable throughout the process, as if I should be despised and blamed for the refund. I've been in this store many times, but this is the first time I've had a refund, and the overall process made me very uncomfortable. I hope your store should strengthen the management and training of your staff.
Milos Ellicott: This store presents itself as a certified lego store without any indication that it is actually a certified retailer instead, i have spent alot of money here under the impression that i would be getting vip points towards my legitimate lego account but instead i find out that its towards “bricks megastores” only, its abit underhanded and definitely slimy in my opinion, for the prices they charge and how they present themselves I find this to be quite scummy.

Settled with Singapore Architecture and Minecraft set. Hope ,Lego will come back with Australian edition soon and come to India with full scale Lego Land outlet.

Daniel Lopez: Purchased a bracelet in the US for my wife and it is clearly faulty. The bracelet clasp opens. Made an appointment with the Pitt st store in Sydney, arrived to be told our appointment could not be found, finally found the appointment and then told by a staff member that the clasp could be modified, along comes the manager that tells us we could exchange it with permission from another manager, when they realised the bracelet was in fact faulty the manager changed her story and said we were unable to exchange for another type.The staff here clearly do not know what they are talking about and left us with a bracelet that cannot be used.Frequently purchased Tiffany however not anymore.

I have just finished work and was wearing office work attire blazer and jeans (not a suit) and the security guard had let a group in front of me in, however stopped in front of me from going in as if I should be allowed in there or I couldn't afford to be in there. It wasn't pleasing more than anything disappointed with that part of the service.

Sophie m: First time I went I received excellent customer service via a booked appointment with Rosemary. Second time a year later I went with a group of friends and unfortunately although we had booked an appointment (a month in advance) we were dismissed at the door and were not taken seriously. We were told that they didn’t have the specific piece we were looking at in stock and that we should just buy online. We waited around and insisted on getting the sit down appointment that we had booked and were finally taken to a private room, were told that they had two pieces in stock (magically appeared in 15 minutes) and made several purchased. A huge thank you to Jo Ong, our SA for taking such good care of us after we had been passed off by 3 others. Very disappointing for my friends who were first time customers and very disheartening for me as a returning one. 5 stars for Rosemary and Jo, but no stars for all the other people we dealt with.

Maria Kapantais: Love Tiffany’s pieces but when I visited this store the workers were quite judgemental, I walked in wearing pj bottoms and a tank top and looked like I was frowned upon? Considering I spend over 2 grand there I think people should be treated with less judgement these days.
