Bridget Foliaki-Davis: What a wonderful store! I was spending the day going through thrift and vintage stores around Sydney and I have to say that my stop at Sydney used furniture was one of my favorites. Prices are very reasonable and there's lots of things to Mull over and desire.It's a treasure trove of goodies from cabinets filled with mid-century Ceramics and early century wares with special attention to English crockery. There is also a cabinet with military paraphernalia and down the back of the store you will find odds and ends with prices similar to those of Salvos and Vinnies.Lots of wonderful art deco furniture including an upstairs area with more offerings. Whilst I was in store the phone did not stop ringing with people wanting to sell, so I expect that there will be lots of goodies available in this store for time to come.

This is a place of real substance; come at the right time and you will find an absolute gem for a sometimes greatly reduced price.When I entered the store I was greeted by the owners' very friendly and cute Cocker Spaniel. They have a very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that doesn't intimidate like some other stores might.

Cheeky Cookie: Terrible products. Even worse customer service.Ordered an ottoman, no screws in the box.Told to wait for a resolution in 4 hours. Got a call from the Phillipines advising they don’t know how long it’ll take to get the screws delivered. Said they will ring back in 6 hours.Sent me an email saying they will pay me $30 to go buy the screws myself from Bunnings however could not confirm the screw size. Call centre in the Phillipines advised they will contact the supplier in China to confirm the screw size however are unsure when they can confirm the outcome.So now I have 3 countries in communication to replace a pack of 12 missing screws.Instead of advising me to come hand in the unit and get a replacement that has the screws inside already they’re giving me the run around and refusing to refund me my money.I’ll be going to the ACCC and charging back through my bank.Everyone avoid this company and heed the warnings of the reviews.
Lauren: We ordered a lounge (Baxter) from here and it came missing parts to be able to screw the legs in. The lounge is unable to be used and we still haven't heard from a repair person who will apparently come whenever they are available.Jenny, the person who navigates the text and email system does not pay attention to what they previously said, does not follow through in their actions, does not read through interactions before sending responses, and does not take any ownership or accountability for their actions.Jenny has asked us to review the product / lounge lovers twice since receiving a broken lounge so here you go Jenny.1 star because of the poor communication and broken lounge you never let us get fixed before begging for a review.
Lanie Thomas: On our mission to find a lounge that we loved, we originally thought we would have to settle for a Facebook or gumtree lounge. After meeting Lachlan at the lounge lovers warehouse, we left with an entire living room and dining setup. Lachlan went above and beyond for us. He was so friendly and so helpful, even running up and down the stairs with different parts of a lounge we had our heart set on. We could not of hoped for a better customer experience. Thank you so much Lachlan, you were awesome!

bet cam: I waited over 45 minutes in the cold to pick up my order. This is disgusting there was only 2 warehouse people for a big factory . Do not do pick up just get it delivered this is the second time now ive waited this long ! Dulmini K: Had a very negative experience with Lounge Lovers. Bought a couch and were told it would be almost a month to get it delivered - that was fine and we accepted it. On the date of delivery, we were called 5 minutes before the scheduled arrival time and told that the warehouse had incorrectly packed the truck and that only half of our couch would be delivered. We were given the option of getting that piece today and the other later, or both together at the next available date, which was over a week away. After we had already been living a month without a couch, we accepted the half and tried to speak to customer service about getting the other half delivered sooner as it was available in the warehouse, but they refused saying there were no available delivery slots, even though it should have been a priority as it was their error. Additionally, in store they promise a great customer service experience (as they should when you pay $2k for a couch), but offer no help post sale. There is no Australian customer service, it is outsourced overseas and very difficult to communicate and get a satisfactory response. When the second delivery came at last, the couch was poorly assembled and we fixed it up once the delivery people had left. Overall a hugely negative experience for a premium price, and I would not recommend.

Do not purchase from this company, your money is better spent elsewhere.We got delivered a broken TV unit nearly 5 months ago, company kept delaying the new unit to be redelivered. This week our new TV unit was supposed to be delivered, delivery drivers came at 8.30pm when they brought in the unit it was the wrong colour. Now the company want us waiting another month for the unit. When we spoke to customer service they did not care at all, no compensation was offered for all their mistakes and even encouraged us to go to consumer affairs if we wanted to take things further.They do not know how to run a business, there is no pride and no care for their customers. Never again.
Bruna Meirelles: I feel sorry for the owner!Bought a $1000 dollars sideboard that came without the shelves. Took them 3 months to send the replacement shelves, but their delivery team claim to have delivered it to our address. On the signature is a name that we never saw before.Once I emailed them saying "I can't use the sideboard without the shelves" they automatically arranged a collection for my item for next week.Absolutely awful behaviour and terrible costs for the company. Instead of sending me 2 new shelves of $50 bucks they are arranging a collection of a 1k item and refunding me the whole value.If you are the C-Level executive of this business and is reading this, please give some training to your employees. Your items are good but your customer service is giving you the worst reviews a company could have on Google.SAD.

Chad MacKenzie: Ordered the Happy lounge. I’m not happy at all. Not unhappy with the lounge… because I haven’t seen it. Ordered it online for pickup. Went to the Prestons warehouse after being told to go, and they couldn’t find it. System error. Had to call customer service and they said they would have it delivered in a week from the Sydney warehouse for free. Fine. Errors happen. Delivery day and I get a text it will arrive in 30 mins. 1.5hrs later and past the 3 hour allotted time, no chair. I call and again, warehouse system stock issue. They say there is one in Brisbane. I’m told I can’t have it express delivered nor will they sight it to confirm they have it. Trusting a system again that has delivered two errors. Waiting for the supervisor to call me as they weren’t available to discuss. Really disappointed as I don’t want to cancel the order but looking like we’re heading in that direction… Team. I work in retail. This isn’t good enough.

hawke hawke: We purchased a side table for over $12,580 in 2019. This was initially sold to us as a solid wood table however after only 3 years, we discovered a cosmetic defect that revealed the table was in fact engineered blockwood.After we brought this to Fanuli team's attention, they not only refused to accept our clear and documented proof but amended the product description on their webpage to now mention engineered blockwood.They have stonewalled our attempts to discuss and negotiate this and have attempted to shift blame to us referencing their backdated website listing. Whilst we can't fault the initial service during our purchase, the experience after we discovered the issue has been totally abysmal.Anyone looking to purchase furniture from an honest and transparent company should avoid Fanuli at all costs.
mark rohanna: We love the furniture that we purchased from the Fanuli Family over two years ago. It is such a joy to sit on our most elegant and comfortable dining chairs with our family and friends, and hear comments on how they love the chairs. We also bought a beautiful lamp which is unique and exceptional. The Fanuli team was so helpful, providing experience and expertise to find just the right fabric, style and colour. Their attention to detail, including delivery was exceptional and we highly recommend them.
Gorilla Communications: So our cleaner managed to completely jam the sliding doors to our beautiful Jesse bedroom wardrobe.Minor emergency as meant no access to any clothes for the next day.The wardrobe was purchased from Fanuli well over decade ago and until now has performed wonderfully.As last resort texted Fabio Fanuli at 8.30pm to explain the problem.By 7am the next day was called to say Fanuli technician (thanks John) was on his way – by 9am the problem was fixed.Remarkable people, remarkable products, remarkable service. I cannot recommend highly enough – a truly authentic family owned company.
Hymie Munitz: Bought a beautiful glass dining table. It was shipped from Italy, stored for 7 months at Fanuli warehouse, delivered via crane to our apartment. The delivery crew did not check the table, and when they left I noticed a chip. Very poor response from the company, accusing us of causing the damage. Absolutely no responsibility or interest. No use selling beautiful furniture if the after sales service and care is lacking.there are similar posts like ours, even though the company said it had never happened before. Shame ! Shame! Shame!

Col Thorne: I recently had cause to dismantle my Fanuli (‘Old Grande Arredo’) Italian cherry sleigh king bed to repaint my bedroom. In reassembling it, I managed to crack one of the metal clutch locks. The bed is about 20 years old so I was very pleasantly surprised to learn that the fittings were still available - in fact I believe the classic bed is still available. I live near Canberra but was able to call Fanuli, send photos to confirm the parts which were express posted the next day. It has reinforced to me the value of fine furniture purchased from an enduring family company.

We really appreciate his help and will definitely go back!
Hazel Polon: We enjoyed our many visits to Fanuli to select pieces for our apartment which was undergoing a renovation. Sadly the renovation went badly wrong, and it has taken almost three years to resolve the issues . During all this time Fanuli have graciously kept the furniture and items we purchased in storage for us without charge. We are finally able to take delivery and move into our newly renovated apartment prior to Xmas. We are very grateful to Fanuli and specifically Ciaran for the wonderful service. We are still going to need bits and pieces and are looking forward to returning to browse their beautiful collections in the new year.

When I spoke with one of the Fanuli brothers he was very rude - not believing that they had caused it and implying it was our fault for not letting them know there was a staircase. They never fixed it. Extremely disappointed and will never buy from them again

ollie petrie: My furniture came on time, but the coffee table is quite damaged. We wanted it to be on show to sell our apartment, but can't use it. They won't even let us take it back to the store. Have to submit a ticket online and wait 48hrs just to get a pick-up date. We have to buy a different one from somewhere else at short notice, don't have anywhere to this one and probably won't be here when they want to pick it up!! Calling them was very unhelpful. The TV unit we bought also looks alot darker than the one in the shop. While dome natural variation is expected it looks like a different wood.
saad mujeeb: Shoddy build quality. The sofabed seat cushion caved in within 6 months of use but the CS team refused to honor and stated that this is how it is built. Poor product and even worst service. You know a company does not care about customer experience when they start using refences to "consumer law".

Despite the gorgeous look of the furniture the experience we had would never justify spending money with this company. Friendly in store staff. Shame 'the warehouse' and 'customer service' are incompetent.As new home owners with no furniture I was delighted when the sales person advised the sofa we were after was in stock and available for delivery in 2 days. Taking time off work to be home for the delivery, we were advised 8pm the night before there had been a 'miscount' in the warehouse and we would not receive our delivery. A reassurance and promise from the salesperson in store, that the sofa would arrive in 2 weeks we waited patiently. Only to be told at 7.30pm THE NIGHT BEFORE our delivery would not take place due to another 'miscount'. Another morning off work for no reason...Lounge Lovers again then tried to sell us that our sofa would arrive in 7 days, with a measley offer of a discount. We have requested a refund having paid for the sofa, fabric protection and delivey upfront. We will supposedly receive a refund in 7 days...

Sandra Suarez: Complete false advertising.Every single time I have ordered something online that states it is in stock and it will be dispatched 3 days after from the warehouse, I have received messages and the delivery of my order has been moved by at least 4 weeks!With my first order I was patient and was happy for them to use the “due to COVID” excuse but this is the second time around.First they get you excited because you can book your delivery date online, and than the constant rolling delays begin.I have called the customer service number 1300… and they are absolutely horrible, worst customer service I have ever experienced. And they are not helpful at all.I am so disappointed about this company because in store they are actually friendly and their product isn’t bad. What a scam.

They will lie and take no responsibility for delays.We order our dining table expecting it to arrive in two weeks, it took two months.We ordered our coffee table at the same time, it was delayed by a month, then another month and now we are told it won’t be delivered until April. That’s 6 months after ordered it and was told it would be delivered in 2 weeks.The problem is that lounge lovers take no responsibility and simply puts it down it to shipping delays that are out of their control. Absolutely unacceptable.DONT TRUST THEM!
Nohan Hidajat: What a frustrating experience with a bunch of unprofessional staff. Customer service and care factor is absolutely zero. We were ordered a sofa bed and was given assurance on stock availability and how soon it can be delivered. We visited the store twice and looked for the same staff just to make sure! However after weeks of waiting, we were notified that delivery is being pushed back by almost a month (and even that itself is wrought with uncertainty ). It certainly feel that the staff in the store is just in a hurry to close the sale to get the commission. When we pursued the matter, the staff was unreachable (or avoiding us) and palmed the matter off to her supervisor. When we finally got the call, supervisor was uninformed and we had to explain the whole situation all over. (another example of the care factor of the staff). Through out the call, supervisor was unapologetic and even doubted the flow of events. So in the mean time, our guests will just have to settle for a mat on the floor. Good product + poor customer service = unrecommended product.
Dawn Churchill: Some nice furniture, really good salespeople, abysmal after sales customer service, abysmal delivery. As a company Lounge Lovers appear to feel that their responsibility ends with getting your money. Customer service refused to help follow up my furniture and I eventually contacted the lovely lady who sold me the furniture and asked for my money back - and she made sure it was delivered.
Nigel Tse: The service team member, Jenny, who greated us at the desk was friendly and approchable. This is deapite it being the end of the day and nearing closing time. Jenny was patient and helpful in assiting us in selecting a range of furniture for our needs. Lots of items were selected and was processed in a timely manner despite the slow computer system. Unfriendly customer service at the store, they take orders and your money for items that are out of stock, overcharge for delivery and then cancel it all on the day while you are waiting for delivery at home, with some stupid reason that I didn't comply with covid rules. When finally customer service picks up the phone they inform me that the item is actually out of stock and won't be available for another 2 months. Very dodgy business.
Colleen Lee: Purchased a soft bed two week sago with full price and I wont have it delivered until late June. However, it is now on sale 40% (30% plus additional 10%), called CS team they wouldn't want to give me a price matched and instead i was suggested to cancel the existing order and re-purchase the item.

Ingrid Banwell: The delivery was undertaken with grace, speed and efficiency. My only suggestion would be to offer customers the extra option of having the fabric protection already on the couches when they arrive. All that smelly spraying and re-spraying is a pain.

Caleb C: As friendly as the Crows Nest staff are, there seems to be a systemic problem with communication in your organisation. I have emailed your staff and received no response. Tried calling and was put on hold and then just simply cut off after being on hold for 20mins multiple times in a row.We ordered a Clover Dining table; it was delivered in a giant wooden crate completely nailed in with hundred of nails. We were never warned that it would be delivered in this manner. We didn't have the tools to disassemble the crate so paid an additional fee for your staff to come down and assemble it for us. They came by today and now have told us they don't have screws to assemble the table for us. Seriously how messed up can the communication within your organization be. We have now been left with a mess in our apartment with nails and wood chips everywhere and still without a dining table. It has now been a week since the table was delivered and we still don't have it assembled.When is this going to be resolved? If we don't have a dining table by Monday, we'd prefer to have a full refund and take our money elsewhere. This has been the worst delivery experience for us.

I must say I have not come across unwelcoming, cold, unempathetic people working in the service industry. The two women I encountered really need to go back for additional or updated training or better yet retire!In addition to this shop front that appears all pleasant still manage to send out the incorrect counter stools and tell me the matter has been escalated to a department that is elsewhere which we are still waiting for a professional and timely response. It is certainly frustrating because they're happy to take the money but when the issue arises there is no efficient or effective communication and turnaround in dealing with it.

Lounge Lovers are dodgy, they took our money for lounges, made us wait 5 months only to tell us our order was cancelled. THEN the FUN BEGINS. GOODLUCK CHASING A REFUND. 5 months we've been waiting for our refund. Staff member SOLITAIRE was nothing but rude, verbally abusive and outright refused our refund unless we showed her BANK STATEMENTS????? since when??? I have never in my life been treated more poorly from a retail store than how SOLITAIRE treated my husband and I. A horrible experience overall.

The chairs were very easy to assemble and they fit perfectly under my 110cm round table. I was able to update and add a photo at a later date.photo.

After confirming a new delivery date, I receive an email 2 days before it was due to arrive stating my furniture is going to arrive 2 days later. Upon calling their call centre they say it will arrive a week later then that.After taking annual leave to be available to receive the goods, I’m now left high and dry with no explanation and no clue when my furniture will be arriving.One hand does not talk to another in this company. I had a very nice experience at their showroom in Waterloo, however the cost savings of an overseas call centre and a chat bot handling communication for post-sale makes for a horrible customer experience.

Kate Hurley: DO NOT BUY FROM LOUNGE LOVERS Happy to take your money, deliver faulty goods, and then try and make it as difficult as possible to rectify the situation. Ordered two Alice lounges, and upon opening - one has an obvious fabric fault and Lounge Lovers are not willing to replace it. A refund is only offered if a technician comes out to clean it. Clean a fault...really? Who in their right mind would agree to a brand new lounge being cleaned when it has just been opened and never used? There is zero customer service and the conversation goes round and round in circles obviously trying to wear the customer down. This has been 4 days of back and forth, including passive aggressive emails from customer service. One email received even admitted that their lounges sometimes get marks during transit, and "a professional can easily clean it". I am absolutely furious. Do not waste your time and money. The saga continues.....what a farce.

The only items that arrived damaged were our Lounge Lovers Amalfi dining table and x2 of the x8 chairs to suit it. Approx 2/3 months later another chair has broken. Naturally, when 3 of the 9 products purchased haven't lasted the first couple of months we're keen to return them. Unfortunately, LL refuses to take the set back only accepting the broken items.A very disappointing interaction with poor-quality products
Alex Street: Horrible service. I bought the Jaque coffe table online on 4/9/22. Website said the earliest delivery date possible was 29/9/22. Item was listed as in stock. I called by phone 19/9/22 to find out why I have to wait a month for something that can be delivered in less than a day. Lady couldn't give me an answer and when I asked to speak with a supervisor she hung up on me. Very disappointing. They should call this store Clown Lovers. Coffee table sold as terrazzo is hollow and cheap

They fail to deliver items and then refuse to issue refunds or actually deliver the products and you spend your entire time speaking to people in the Philippines. Stupidly expensive with terrible service to be told that you're a liar when they haven't delivered a product is ridiculous.Absolute rip offs, bad delivery with delivery drivers who forge delivery receipts and a team that refuse to provide any evidence of actual delivery.Do not buy anything from these rip off merchants
Tracey Smith: Bought a couch from these people a couple of years ago. The cushions began sinking after only three or four months (I am lightweight and thin!). I called up customer service and never heard from them again. Will be tossing it out at the earliest opportunity and never buy from these people again - their stuff is cheap and nasty. It can look good but the quality is NOT there. Avoid!!

Mehrnaz Taimoory: They have the poorest customer service. I purchased a couple of items and was told they will be delivered and all the cartons and rubbish will be removed. After a week or so they split my order in 2 invoices.Items were delivered at once but they didn’t remove half of the carton and rubbish and told me this service is not in your second invoice. Although I tried to explain that initially it was one invoice and once they split the invoice they should have included the service in both .. But they left all the huge cartons and boxes in middle of my lounge room

My armchair was dirty when it arrived, the chair was partially broken and the legs on the ottoman were broken. Very unprofessional. PLEASE BE CAREFUL DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON DAMAGED FURNITURE!!!

I understand being in sales is a very competitive job, however it a was very uncomfortable experience for myself and my daughter. Steven Furman: Worst customer service I have experienced. The product (2 side tables) were damaged and unusable. We were told to return them for a refund as they didnt have others to replace them with. Because we didnt return them in their original boxes (the boxes broke as the items are extremely heavy) they have withheld a 20% "restocking" fee on the refund. There is NO restocking as the items cannot be sold to anyone else. Had we changed our mind or didnt like the items then I can fully understand however this is just unacceptable. They refuse to allow me to speak to anyone at head office to resolve this and the directors are also "unavailable". Fair Trading will now be taking this over...

So far, I've placed 3 orders with them and I love all the items I got.However, in the last 6 months, the delivery process has been shambolic. After placing orders, I am informed that items are not in stock and will be delayed. I understand there is a global supply chain problem on top of the staff issues due to covid.The problem is that customer expectations are not managed. Items show on the website like stock is readily available (but in reality aren't).Things are "dispatched" and you don't hear back for weeks. I had to follow up by calling and they had to contact the warehouse for an update. For one of my orders, I was even given the number of the delivery company and when I called them, they said they did not have my order at all. Clearly, the process is disconnected.What is annoying is when the sales person responds with "do you want to cancel your order". It makes me feel like they just don't want to deal with you.

Unfortunately, it was only until I asked to pick up that I was told there was a stock discrepancy and there were no more items available. Although offered a refund and store credit for their mistake this was very disappointing, especially as it took 4 months to figure this out

I was pleasantly surprised when the items arrived and would like to commend the quality of the products.However, I would really like to express my appreciation to the Trit House team, especially, Zac and Sharni, for their professionalism and friendliness. I cannot fault their responsiveness either. There were a couple of small paint chips in two of the chairs, that would have been incurred during the delivery process, but they did an amazing job replacing these. 5 stars. I hope to be a return customer for more of the beautiful items they have.
