Media School Sydney: what do users think?
Heather Galvin: Really interesting course, Phil is a really engaging teacher. Found this really informative and practical. Have recommended this to a few friends and colleagues.
Tom Jacks: Fantastic course on Friday, you'd be hard pressed to learn more about podcasting in one day. Phil is a wealth of knowledge and has a lot of industry experience, would definitely recommend the podcasting workshop to any company or org looking to put together their own. Thanks Phil!
Ashlyne o: Fantastic course for anyone looking to get into podcasting. Learnt a lot, and enjoyed the day, would recommend!
Hayden Richards: By the end of the end of the 2 half-day sessions I felt like I had everything I needed to turn our raw ideas into a fully fledged podcast. The relevance of Phil's material and the variety of his presentation meant that I never lost interest in the course. Time very well spent. Great value. Highly recommended.
S L: Phil is engaging, personable and presented the course in an easy to understand and clear manner. Great pace. Excellent overview of all social media platforms. I left motivated to continue exploring how best to use them for my clients.
alison vickers: Engaging, interesting and thought-provoking. Loved how seamlessly organised the day was with so much useful information
Adam Wright: The whole day was very well put together. The stories of how to build content over just posting were great.
Gayle Haydon: I thoroughly enjoyed the course I did with Phil. The content of the course was useful and certainly beneficial for the business that I was attending. The approach of teaching with plenty of discussion and visual techniques was easily understood. The group was small and inviting and allowed for questions that were relevant to most attending the course. Phil’s knowledge of the industry past and present and its rapid changes was apparent and wide.Thank you Phil. I will be back for more knowledge insight!Gayle
Sara Birch: "Left the course with a good idea of how to really focus and plan my content. Also an understanding of the power of working simultaneously across a broad section of sites."
Belinda Evans: An informative and relaxed environment with a great opportunity to learn about the latest in all forms of social media. Highly recommend!
Sian Morgan Hall: Well structured, well-paced course which helped me to see through all the technical side of social media to what is important - content and connection with people in an authentic way.
Michelle McKernan: Great course to learn how to use social media for your business even if you re a social media dinosaur like me :)
Masheila Pillay: Great course. Very insightful and well presented!
Jackie Gold: Spent a great day at Media School learning all things Social Media. Well paced, well presented and great information, thanks Phil I will be back for more.
Blake Robertson: This was great a great very informative course. Phil & Lisa are lovely!
Del Rio Riverside Resort: Very practical and great ideas for blogs. Learnt some fabulous tips on planning. Phil makes you feel at ease and explains everything so well.
zak clark: I completed a social media class with Phill. Phill was an excellent teacher. He had a great slide show presentation with lots of visual learning tools. I learnt a lot more information about Instgram and Facebook work. Phill gave me some great ideas and principles to help our small removal business. I would strongly recommend this course to beginners, and those who have already set up social media forums. We had a great group, the food provided was really nice. Phill gave us a USB with heaps of information on it. This is a great as means we can keep learning after the course.
Kata: A great one-day course on social media. Class size was ideal and it was well structured and informative. Phil was an excellent teacher who took the time to explain things in detail. Would highly recommend the course!
Lisa Dwyer: Great course Phil is a wonderful teacher. I would not say I am a beginner however a few people in the class I attended seemed to be more at beginner level Phil did an awesome job at explaining all platforms across all levels. The best part is he is happy to speak with us via email/phone to run through our personal ideas in the future even after we completed the course. I also really liked that he and his wife had morning tea/lunch/afternoon tea with us and Phil was very happy to answer any questions during break times he did not disapear at all for the entire course. Great job Phil thank you so much.
Rosy Mobbs: Wow! what a brilliant, informative and dynamic course. I know so many people that have not kept abreast of social media and its ever changing and unravelling permutations. Many of us use facebook/instagram and twitter but this course delves beyond the superficial social playground. It is an all round brush up on social media engagement for business, taught in a lively, honest and relaxed environment.
Rohan Calvert: Phil has a wealth of knowledge of social media and presents it in an entertaining way that is easy for the layman to understand. The field of social media is continuously in flux, and it was good to get an up to date snap shot of current trends. Phil is a great teacher and this information is very relevant to small business owners. The Media Shool location at 335 Clovelly Rd, Clovelly is very convenient. The added bonus was that the workshop doubles as an art school; and the walls were decorated with beautiful art works by artist and teacher Lisa Patroni - and her students. The morning tea and lunch were delicious and prepared by Lisa. Do yourself a favour and give Phil a call!

APM College Of Business And Communication @ Torrens University: what do users think?
Sweet Release Axis Global (Sweet Release Agency): A big thank you to APM College for the education in a Diploma of Marketing, this qualification certainly helped me on my journey to launching my own Agency and National Awards Program. While the work placement that came with this program was nothing to write home about, the confidence I learnt outside of this program to force myself into opportunities has lead me to the success I have today. My recommendation to future students is not to rely on the careers placement officers at this college, go out of your own way to build your success when you have the necessary knowledge and skills. If you need advice - get in touch; always happy to help a fellow alumni of the college. Jett Black @ Sweet Release Agency (CEO, MD, Founder)
2 U: Poor Student service, Poor Lecturer.Poor education, unfriendly staff.
Pauly James: After some early challenges initially with the course and subjects being dropped, the course has progressed and gotten better. Some of the lecturers are really amazing with fantastic real-world professional expertise. Where this college really comes into its own however is with its success coaches. One in particular has really been able to guide me, not only through my studies, but more importantly with how to understand my strengths and their application in the real world.
Jase Aziz: I've been a student with apm for few years, over the last few months I have started to realise the college is starting to go downhill. Student service are no help at all and the teachers who are employed casual don't respond to emails you send them regarding assessments, class schedule or anything. Suggest looking else where for decent tertiary education provider
Jamie Eaton: DO NOT let them trick you into enrolling! The course coordinator tried to impress me with a (on reflection, too-good-to-be-true) job offer, then once I enrolled and asked him about the job, there was no reply. I'm currently trying to unenrol, but I think they're conveniently waiting until after the census date to process it so that I have to pay the tuition fees.
Elaine Ramiro: Best culinary school in Sydney. Visit WB dining which is a 2 min walk from the school
Dean Morzone: I have found APM's online learning lecturers a bit difficult. The lecturers also have full time jobs, so having a question you've asked answered can sometimes take days. Particularly unhelpful in assignment season where those answers and feedback are time critical. The amount of money paid for the course should offer a lot more.Other than that, the course is okay.
Braeden Rhys: Great college - I studied online and everything I learnt was out into practice half way through my course when I receive my own internship during studies as a marketing auditor and marketing plan manager for several performing arts high schools across NSW. I found my internship on my own.

SAE Institute Sydney: what do users think?
yee nadee: I want to share my experience. Trust me if you want to study any media fileds, please do not study at SAE. Poor teaching methods and poor students service. Really waste your time and money. You will regret it.Again, Please do not waste your money and time at there. You will find out everything from You Tube videos. That will make you more understanding about your interest while you learning from You Tube videos. Please save your money and time.
William Macnamara: Incredible animation crew. Very encouraging, and heavily experienced, could not ask for better people to learn under.Animation course is well developed, had plenty of opportunity to explore all fields of animation.TAKE NOTE : Do not enroll expecting to learn everything just from the course criteria. SAE provides you with an abundance of resources that you only have time to study purely in your own time, of your own innitiative. Not taking advantage of those resources is simply a waste of your money. The only criticism I would have of my experience, is that course admin could make hiccups here and there. Would be put in the wrong classes on occasion and timetables would come in quite late notice. To be fair, I had started as COVID hit, so there was a good amount of course restructuring occuring at the time.Overall, I learnt so much, and thats what I paid for. I first enrolled knowing very little of the 3D world. Just 2 years pass, now I'm getting commerical work, working under and alongside professionals of the creative industry. If you want to kick off your career, this is a good place to start.
R&R SHLEMOUN: It is a great university and they have a lovely staff
Jacob “Jawzy”: Perth SAE is 5/5 as appose to this Sydney campus and professionalism.
Kam Vidaar: Horribly run with sociopathic teaching staff.
Rachid Dabbousi: This place deserves 0 stars.I could give endless explanation as to why SAE is so bad but honestly I’m already too drained thinking about it. The fact it got essentially an entire cohort to defer right before major projects should tell you something.Even just seeing the replies to reviews on this is just the same empty nothing messages we always hear. Hype words and nothing to back it up really.Maybe one day I’ll actually be able to make a coherent post about the vast amount of poor practices this place has (one great one I do remember is a head teacher LAUGHING at a student in a public call when a genuine issue was brought up, only for it to never be answered)Take it from a student who regrettably goes here and can get many other students to attest. Don’t come here, no matter your discipline. Yes there are a handful of great teachers or facilitators or whatever they’re making us call them here (literally can count them on one hand from personal experience) but that doesn’t make the debt you have to get into to take this course worth it. Save your money, teach yourself. It’s what you’ll be doing here anyway.
Isaac Nathan: It's been an up and down experience. I came in with no knowledge of animation of the industry at all and now have a very good idea and some specific points of interest. In this regard I can't fault SAE. The staff are incredibly welcoming all round and from my experience I would like to shout out Syeda and Reza. The more SAE trust Reza and let him take the animation course in the way he wants the better it will become. There are some issues with specialisation and the way that is advertised versus how it is approached (what was delivered was a very generalist course - not a bad thing just not what was advertised or what people were expecting). Also some staffing issues that i believe were heading in the right direction when I finished there. Short of SAE coling Reza and letting him teach every animation class they just need to trust his vision. I also personally felt SAE over sell their industry connections in regard to animation internships. Develop your portfolio, CV and cover letter and rely on personal connections you have early and as much as possible. It's a great place to develop your understanding and interest in the industry but be ready to specialise on your own or switch educators to somewhere that specialises in your area of interest once you discover it.
Marc - Marco - Tribbia: Informative. Creative. Friendly Staff
Willza: Been sitting in the lounge for 30minutes. Dunno seems chill. :)
OUTBACK MEDIA: Brilliant service exciting atmosphere i love being a student of SAE
Henny Hildås: The Bachelor of Animation has been fantastic in my opinion. I had three years of experience prior to my SAE studies, and I have learned so many new things. The animation lecturers are all very welcoming, are knowledgeable, and have great backgrounds in the industry. The staff in general are all very helpful and kind. Any complaints from students are taken very seriously, and the staff is always looking for feedback. International students are treated well. Very happy with my choice.
Fezo Rantos: This place is the worst institute I have ever delt with. more than half of my teachers wouldnt prepare lessons properly, most classes spent realising how significant a frame number was for a good half the lesson. Learning things here is slow and NOT a guarantee. I was upset that one whole particular class for 3D animation where the teacher did not provide us with adequate information, skills or resources to how to do projects (of which he wanted at industry standard). if you asked for help, he would tell you about how you're in uni now, so you needed to do all the learning yourself. he failed to then supply information, help or guidance once asked for help from struggling students. He then sent out an email to all students in that class that our "studies are in jeopardy". Spending thousands of dollars a trimester you would think you would get more for your money. My class started out with a good hundred new students, and at the end of the first trimester, only a couple stayed.Dont go here. Look for people in the industry, look and pay for tutorials online. that will teach you more than you ever could here, and you would probably get a job at the end of it.
HAYDEN HUYNH: I love the place
Sole Option: I am reaching out to any person considering studying at SAE to become an audio engineer, it is a lovely establishment and the teachers are very nice, But you are about to spend $40k+ on a sheet of paper which means next to nothing in the music industry (as i learnt the hard way). I studied audio engineering for 2 semesters, whilst working a ruthless part time job to keep money flowing in. After all that time we spent 90% of all lessons focusing on tiny things that rarely (if ever) matter in a real world studio setup. After leaving (I didn't complete the course after i had the realisation of what it was costing me for what i was getting) I have begun to establish myself in the audio engineering world and slowly but surely am building a clientele with the studio we are running. How did i get those skills in the end? I sat down with a professional mix engineer and interned for free with him for a few weeks (very blessed), not only was it free but it taught me more in a few weeks than i learnt at SAE in a year. If you are like me and are someone looking to get into the audio engineering industry, save your money and find an internship or intense study course with a professional even if it costs a couple of thousand. Reach out to a mix engineer you love and tell them you'll buy their coffees to sit in on some sessions. Do not go to SAE if this is you, you will without a doubt be throwing your money in the toilet, you cannot get time back.
t&a films __: please do not waste your time here, i went for a year doing a 1 year diploma of film and all the things i learnt i could've learnt on youtube for free instead of $18,000 please do not go here.
Caleb .X: From personal experience I don’t recommend wasting your time on SAE for video game design or animation. You’ll be better off finding good online courses and building your skills to get a job in the end, and in a much shorter period of time. Very few graduates get a job after studying in these institutes here in Australia.SAE spends so much money on marketing, while they invest very little on the outdated programs they provide. A quick look at the materials they teach the students basically say “we don’t really care”.It’s very clear they do what many other for-profit art schools do, they take on an excessive number of students who are not capable of or even interested in completing the program successfully in hopes of bringing in additional funding and profits.
winnaye: The jokes that run this place seriously need to take a good look at them self, the fact that i was enrolled from 2016 - 2018 here, one of the staff here has told center-link that i was not enrolled here in 2016-2017 causing me to resolve this issue with center-link. there is a big problem with management here. At the end of the day when you see this complaint dont try to reply with some sugar coating back on my complaint, you know who i am and how much dramas you guys have caused me over the years being enrolled here. For example remember you guys made me repeat a extra trimester because you forgot to enroll me into my next core unit, i could go on all day but im done with this place i want to receive my graduation papers so i can forget about this place asap.
Shaun Anthony Robinson: This place has so much to offer film students or people who want to work with in the media industry

Centre for Continuing Education - University of Sydney: what do users think?
Zoe Adams: Wish I had read the reviews before attending… this was the worst up-skilling experience I have had. The teachers for each course were glamourised scammers, spouting harmful messages about “people from concentration camps choosing to be victims when they could have made the most out of their lives” and that the women in the class would have a hard time practising a speech that was written for men. There were also other things that came up and one of the two teachers was just completely incompetent. The fact that this is associated with the University of Sydney implies the people taking these classes are good at what they do or have some skill but after making a complaint I was told I wasn’t eligible for compensation because they flicked through the slideshow and ticked the box. Would never ever ever go here and suggest everyone save their money.
Grechka Varenaya: BEWARE - awful customer service and TERRIBLE language coursesTake great care in purchasing anything from this centre as their insane cancellation policy is 24 hrs from date of purchase. A refund was refused even in the case of a serious health situation - absolutely zero compassion, disgusting and shameful. The Italian language course that I have done in the past was also absolutely awful - the teacher spoke English very badly and generally, the course was just all over the place, she was impossible to understand and follow, could not answer questions properly, I learned almost nothing (and I generally have no problems with learning). Stay away. Go to the Italian Institute to learn Italian.
Matt Rheuben: Joe Alvaro- rudest person I have ever been involved with.
Deborah Newington: Great course content and trainer. Convenient location, and a lovely lunch included.
Sami Smith: Had the worst experience of my life here, I went there for a company funded training course for SQL and the instructor had the worst attitude. Even though i told him at beginning that i have no experience in SQL but still he singled me out in class and constantly bombard me with humiliating lines like "you are slowing down the whole class" , "your peers are miles ahead of you" and the list is long he could have just ignored me and carry on with the class but he chose to humiliate me in front of whole class, will never go there again and will not recommend this place to anyone
Anne Gordon: They cancelled a course and refused to give me a full refund. I cannot recommend the CCE.
Eamon MacDermott: Have done multiple language courses through CCE and the customer service and the courses themselves are always top notch.
Kat JD: Please do not attend training here - not worth your money. The facilitation is mediocre and is extremely unorganised with materials not available until a day before the session and the facilitator does not follow the curriculum in order, nor finishing the course off in the specified time. No follow ups, nothing. This is specifically related to Business Writing Skills Course. They blamed COVID for this but unfortunately, it got worse. The facilitator even stated that a paying member 'was not there' for the session and was absent. This was not true as the member took photos at the time of the room etc. and thankfully showed proof that she was in attendance. After all of that, one can safely say this is not an institute worth of rolling out training as they even have the audacity to go against their word when they offered me a credit for the curriculum not being completed/facilitator being unorganised and now, they are saying that this credit is no longer available and it was never agreed too. Why would one lie about this and retract on their word?My advice, CCE it is not worth your money - find a professional institute with an organised team who can properly train and have respect for teaching.
Ariane Francesca Paguia: Good courses offered to gain continuous learning! I tried two couses: Data Visualisation & Story Telling and Business Analytics course, both are 8-hour course in 1 day. The facilitators have good real life example from field, and can let you appreciate the concepts better. It can help with personal growth and career improvement. I would highly recommend these courses.
sam heaton: I mistakenly selected a different date to the course on a drop down menu , so I missed it by accident, thinking it was still in the future. Their reminders went into my junk mail. Upon discovering I contacted them and asked to log in to a future zoom course, as I never accessed the first one, which they acknowledged. They told me they would just keep $1800.00 and not offer me the chance to log in to a future one. Morally bankrupt. Well done
At Home: The service here is appalling. Go and learn somewhere else and don't bother wasting your money at this rip off dodgy company.
Juan Too: I did the course - Scaled Agile Scrum Master (SSM) through CCE, last year. I thought that the quality is as good as any professional registered training organisation (RTO) in Sydney.I have recommended CCE to my family and workmates too and they’ve taken on a few Courses themselves already. The tuition fee is very ‘reasonable - definitely affordable! Unlike the RTOs in the City of Sydney which are at least twice the cost, CCE gives a fair price for their courses. For this, to me, CCE is a champion for new work starters, job searchers and new graduates.I am trying to do more IT and Management courses with CCE, this year 2019. I was also informed by CCE that, if someone have enrolled at least 5 times with them, then that person will be eligible for further discounts to any future courses. For these reasons, I give CCE - 5 stars. More power to you CCE
Lauren Lee: I have done two Adobe courses here and i absolutely loved them! The lecturer Anthony, knows his stuff, he is really organised and is very helpful!!!- i know InDesign and Adobe XD in detail now after one lesson!Fantastic teacher, would highly recommend him !!!
Wayne Smith: Very poor customer service.
james deng: they are the worst of worst, especially the google ads word course
F. Ward: I did a beginner's German language course here and I was very disappointed. Firstly there were 20 people in the course - which is just too many for a language class. Secondly despite being advertised as a complete beginners course, most of the other students enrolled had done German before, so they completely dominated group work and had no patience with any one who was a genuine beginner. The tutor was competent enough I guess, but as others have mentioned the CCE customer service either completely rude or non-existent. Once they have your money they don't care what kind of an experience you have.
Evelyn: Excellent.
Jade Blake: I am currently studying level 3 Spanish at CCE & wouldn't recommend doing language classes here. Although my level 1 teacher, Maria was an absolute gem & an amazing teacher who I learnt so much with, going up to level 2 & now level 3, I have had a bad experience. The teachers can barely speak a word of Spanish & think that by just speaking at you in Spanish for 2.5 hours, you will learn. In level 2, I wrote to the teacher asking if she could speak a bit more in English because it's too confusing & she responded 'it's inconvenient for me to speak in English'...I have tried asking for clarification on things & the teachers just say it in different ways but still only in Spanish simply because they don't know much English. Also the class I am currently in has no reception & there is no wifi access unless you're a student enrolled in the uni- it is ridiculous that in a room where you can't even use your phone for a Spanish to English dictionary you also have a teacher talking at you in a language you don't know. An appalling service offered by CCE & they don't have any power to do anything about this when you call to complain either.
J P: I've been learning mandarin through CCE. They did such a good job with the course. I'll continue to learn next semeser
Ricky Jin: I've been learning Mandarin at CCE. It's been excellent. The teacher is awesome and the course content is very useful. I'll continue for semesters to come.
Richard Donnelly: Excellent short courses for adult learning
