Books Kinokuniya Sydney: what do users think?
burak üzüm: Vast selection of books, mangas and even some anime related collectibles. Would highly recommend spending some time in there.
vladymir lauchang: One of the biggest bookshop that I've seen in Sydney that offers almost anything a bookshop can offer. Kid friendly with a book reading section for kid readers, a special comic section for nerds like me and a Japanese manga in section of its own. Yet to try the coffee and cake shop but convenient location within the store if you wanted to have something while browsing.
Vemearts: Absolutely amazing place if you love the art of Anime, games and manga, great if you also have artists you follow that publish books.
Talha Mujaddidi: Great place for a book lover
Hermione Le: One of my favourite book stores as I cannot see many large bookstores in Sydney. They offer variety of books and large amount of Japanese products which is great. Seem like we can buy books in English, Japanese and Chinese only.
Nancy Z: 服务和环境都不错,即便不买书只是看看逛逛也是很不错的!书本的质量一直都很好,是个好地方
Rakchit Yonzan: Best place for a book shopping around and Japanese stationery.
Janelle Rae: Eclectic, beautiful & almost impossible to leave. I bought 5 books 📚
Liam G: I am giving four stars for the following reasons, and I will list my reasons in pros and cons.Pros:1. The bookstore is conveniently located above townhall station, and it is very easy to stay for a few hours since there are cafes, restaurants, and other shops around. It is a good place to hangout with friends or have some time to yourself.2. They do have a huge collection of books. Not only that you have find a good amount of English books, there are sections featuring Chinese and Japanese books.3. In addition, they sell high quality stationary which could be collectable to some, like me.Cons:1. If you cannot find they book you want, you can ask them to source that book for you, but as far as I know, it’s not the most time efficient way.2. Their fountains are priced obviously higher than other sellers. So this is why I am giving four stars. Overall it’s pretty nice, but not giving five stars due to the price of their fountain pens and inks.
Jonathan King: Amazing book store. A must visit if you love books are and in the city
Remi Fittler: I love this place its super cool great variety of products
Marco lam: Great selection of books, especially if you are looking for books from asia,
Sarah Massey: Friendliest and most helpful staff - helped me find a book that wasn't where it was supposed to be. Gift wrapping service was also a bonus!
Mr Jordan: Love this place
Jenny Markwart: Favourite book store in Sydney. Love their recommendation shelves!
Brenden Mannix: Great range of books well set out and spacious.
Jan: Kate provided excellent customer service and she was incredibly knowledgeable. I was very impressed and I look forward to visiting this store again.
M Tran: Used to be nice but now staff just aloof, unfriendly and grumpy. NO chairs or benches anywhere as if to discourage any reading in comfort haha. Crazy!! Come on, I used to love this store but by this rate there's no point in visiting as it's so unfriendly. Dymocks next time for me.
Subhadeep Sengupta: I always buy gel pens from here. Such huge variety. Been coming here since last 7 years.
hemendra negi: Nice place biggest book store in Sydney
Nigel Lau: I thought they sold manga and Japanese light novels only. Was surprised to find they have a healthy back catalogue of books like in a normal bookstore. One of the hidden gems in CBD (which is usually bereft of them). Great atmosphere, good service, competitive prices and excellent selection for the manga and light novel fan. Will be a regular 😀

Anime at Abbotsford City Store: what do users think?
Mad Bagel: Shop crew are always super friendly and I love to go for draw ICHIBAN-KUJI (lottery ticket to win some awesome anime stuff)They've got huge stock of anime/manga figures! Highly recommended!
Dan “DanTheMan” Clayton: I love this place I came here for the first time with my cousin and his Girlfriend and bought a Todoroki Funk pop and it looked so cool. a month ago I came back and bought A uraraka and Katsuki Funk pop to add to my collection (I bought Deku at Penrith) Andi bought a Loid Forger Plush and i love it ultimately a very nice small business and even help people go to other Anime stores in the City like Anime Kaika if they do not have the product I love the employees Fellow Anime Nerds like me and would love to come here again every once in a while. And if i remember they also have Yu gi oh cards in Hiragana, Japanese print and i think that's so cool Ultimetly A epic Anime store
Crystal Taylor: Love the new store and all the displays.
emily: love you guys ♡
Nourah: Great shop! Prices were reasonable, and the staff were lovely. Well done 👍🏼
David Ting: A small but packed anime and pop culture store in Chinatown. This is a branch store to their main store in Abbotsford. They have a great inventory and friendly and knowledgeable staff. One of the highlights of this store are the regular Ichiban Kuji's that they run. These are essentially lotteries with specific prizes based on anime series etc.Note: Due to current covid-19 conditions there is a limit of 8 customers in the store at one time. This means you may have to wait to get in when the shop is busy.Update 2023 - They have opened up another store space a few doors down on the same floor. This new store space is mainly for the kujis and gachapons. The original store space is for everything else but primarily figures.
Eleanor Weaver: Very cool 😎
MUMMA_JESUS: Wasn't really what I was expecting, I guess my expectations were too high and what I saw online was totally different compared to what was actually there 🤷 eh I got to see new places thoEdit: it’s been 3 years, and I forgive you. I was a child that didn’t know enough anime to appreciate this store, although it was small and stuffy, my vibes were off and needed to be checked. I’m checking them now. I wanna come back and redeem myself, now that I know more then what I did back then.
Brad Martin: Brad and Hansen are the kings of what they do, amazing customer service with a smile!
Kaycie Mae: Friendly staff and lots of anime and Sanrio stock, too cute!
vincent nguyen: Good selections
You Wei: Small, cramped, but full of goodies.if you spot correctly, you can find average sized figurines for under 50 dollars.
Andy Wong: Great Anime Merch.
Vincent Ip: love this store! The staff and owner are really nice! Good variety and selection of your anime needs. :)
SwallowSHDW: It was great but the main reason I'm giving 5 stars is because you guys have TWEWY merch and I was so happy about that because I haven't seen that in any other store.
Erin: Plenty to look at and plenty to chose from. There is a main store, which had a line to wait in when I was here as the store is tiny and can only hold 8 customers, it is not that long a wait depending on the customers. If you have a big bag you will be required to set it down behind the counter to avoid smashing into things in the small area. There is also a partner store that has more stuff and allows you to see what the figurines look like out of the boxes. The figure i wanted in the main store had a bashed up box, I was offered a discount in the main store or to look at the partner store for a replacement box. I went to the partner store and luckily there was a replacement. The staff were super nice and the fact they had pins from 'genshin impact' on their uniform helped make you feel at home because they are obviously nerds themselves lol. There are also lotteres and gacha machines in the store if you're into that.
Adrian Murphy: Great little niche store, great prices and a plethora of options for 99% of most fans.
Teddie ImtotallynotTeddie: Amazing place with excellent staff and variety in products! The large sections of figures and merchandise makes it worth it to travel to the city and the prices are relatively cheap! I bought several rare figures and they were only $50 each! My only take back is that the store has little to no Madoka Magica related merchandise but what they lack in certain series, they make up with their large array of substitutes. See you there! ^^
bryan lara: The store and merchandise are nice but the employees in the non cased store are not. The moment we walk in this guy is ordering me to put my bag on the rack, but there was already a couple in the store walking around with multiple bags before us. And when I was trying to find what I like around the store he would walk back and forth through the aisle hovering around me like a vulture.
Brianna McMechan: Stocked full of figurines & they give a lovely 10% discount to members, love this place!
caynaxpout: Nice little shop and was very busy when I went in. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable on anime which is great to see! One of the very few stores that also have kuji!! Thanks for the win on the OP Yamato figure today :) I'll be back for that Evileye some time!!

Anime Kaika: what do users think?
Tom Peace: Good selection good service
12:24AM: Love It And Better Then Before.Definitely My Favourite Place To Go.The Quality Of The Cup Is Greater the Good, No Cracks, Flawless And Hunter X Hunter is One Of Favourite Anime I Ever Watch. 5 Stars."12:24AM"
SYAM: Nice collection, unfortunately I couldn't find what I wanted.
Cameron McEwan: Recently Kaika upgraded to a bigger store with a wider variety.
Mad Bagel: Love this awesome anime/manga place in CBD Sydney!Staff are very friendly and I often to visit them for draw ICHIBAN-KUJI (Lottery ticket to win anime figures and so on)They've got huge selection of products.Highly recommended!!
Nicole Lentini: If you love Anime, you will love this shop.
rain :D: large variety of products & staff r friendly :)prices are reasonable and not too high in my opinion
Yebin Lee: Has a lot of selections and a mini gacha machine + cute Sanrio plushies
JJ Roberts-White: Recently they had a large renovation so now there is more than enough room in the aisles and they have so many more items on the shelves. Staff are friendly and are nice to talk to.Whilst a lot there is expensive (as expected from anime goods) if you keep your eyes on there's some nice cheaper stuff as well such as keychains and folders.
Jai Morris: They sell a lot of stuff, definitely one of the best in Australia!
Andrew Green: My experience sucked....but my kids loved it so much
Greasy Childe_3533: Great place, they have tons of good stuff the store is amazing!! 5 stars! ; )
Renee Mccooey: Best place for all things anime
emily: love the kaika team so much! wish they had more stock :(
Nourah: Cute shop, a bit pricey
Krystal Locke: You should update your website so people know not to bother travelling to your store when you have moved. Literally around the corner, but I now have to order what I want online and wait for an email even though I can see it in your window. The tiny banner isn’t exactly a prompt to check :(
Tahsin Chowdhury (Teto): I've always love going into kaika, but sad knowing that there's always going to be one thing that I buy whenever I visit. very cute store.
Nancy C: Great selection of products but having your staff literally gawk over customers really is not a fun shopping experience. They literally stand there and block the way and stare at everyone like we are going to steal.Shop security is important, but there are better ways to go about this. The staff are always unfriendly and have zero customer service skills.
Tara Farmer: This store has absolutely amazing customer service! I've purchased both in store and online from them. They have all the anime stuff you could want and are very helpful, have great communication and are fast at responding. I also appreciate the pre order discounts they have on items. I highly recommend them 😊
Mx Panter (Lamb :3c): AWESOME SHOPP!!! COME IN HERE NOW.
Stardream (STDM): 小而贵但品类对比凸凹其它二刺猿周边店来说还算全

Ági Bob: A lovely little secondhand Japanese book and manga store tucked away on Liverpool St, Sydney. Large selection of books, lovely shopkeeper.
Takayuki Yasaka: 最近行ってないですが本がいっぱいあって楽しいです。😊👍
Shyee: First time commenting under Google map. The owner of the bookstore is an amazing person. It’s a LITTLE bit hard to find but it’s definitely worth it. 5 stars for the owner.
JJ Roberts-White: I don't know her name but the owner is very nice and helped me find what I was looking for. There is a large range of manga, CDs and books!
Alice An (soju_yakulture): Extremely friendly staff - Lots of 2nd hand Japanese books you can't really find. There are few English translated books but that didn't bother me as I wasn't looking for English translated books. It is bit tricky to find if it is your first time visiting - There's entrance to the building through Liverpool ST or Dixon ST. Do not rely on google and go to Sussex ST as there are no entrance to the building. For someone who was looking for cheap Japanese children's book it was perfect place to find them!
Mark Bilbrough: Very cool little second-hand Japanese book store. Entrance is tricky - go through the red door on 35-39 Liverpool St.
Leika: Nice staff, reasonable price, cozy manga reading room. シドニーの隠れ憩いの古本屋さん。親切丁寧、雰囲気が良く静か、いつも買いすぎます。
Lily Wancewicz: Ordered a book online and Tomoko was incredibly helpful! She was able to offer me lots of shipping options and answered my questions in a timely manner. The book made it safely to California. Thanks so much :)
Vanessa: thank you so much, I'm really happy that there is a store in sydney where I can buy many showa era manga
Felicia Chiew: Quaint lovely bookshop with a wide range of goods! The staff are nice and welcoming too. The location is a bit hard to find, so look through the reviews if you are lost.
Ultimaja: A lovely, cozy little bookshop. You can find the lift to the second floor through a red door on Liverpool Street, or the opening on Dixon Street. Once inside the courtyard, follow the signs to Hondarake. The owner is very friendly and was kind enough to pull down a small section of kimono books for me to look through. The prices are very affordable too.Definitely a place I'll visit again whenever I visit Sydney!
Wesley Scott: Great place
Calvin S: The book store owner is very lovely and assists me whenever I go to purchase books for my mother. The prices are also fantastic for getting Japanese novels. If you need assistance she's very lovely, so ask politely if you need help :)!
shuran yang: Perfect experience!!
Daniel Weekes: Not many English language books at all
Leadsunde: It's a wonderful place for you to visit and buy native Japanese books for a bargain price.Especially if you want to learn Japanese language.
Chai: Great selection of light novels and books not found elsewhere in Sydney and possibly Australia. Great prices for untranslated pieces too

The Comic Shop Liverpool: what do users think?
Kevin Pham: This Comic Shop is amazing I bring my 10 year old son here and he loved it so much that he always come here each 2 weeks to get new comic!
54M DIGITAL RADIO: There is nothing more exciting to visit one of 2 comic stores in Sydney!Tbc....
Sahan Attanayake: Good collection. Friendly staff
Simon: Great selection knowledgable staff
Katrina: Friendly and had what I was after!
Syed A Hossain: Good collection good helpful staff
Shreeansh Raj Sharma: Such an awesome comicbook shop and the guy there was so welcoming and knowledgeable on comics too
Adam van Eyk: Very polite, friendly and customer-centred team! Always eager to chat and help out. The selection in the store is impressive and I regularly lose myself in there for hours browsing through the stock
Tony Athnasious: Nice store & friendly staff
Shayden Playz: Good comics at low prices
Sarah Dang: Best local comic shop. Always great having a chat with the guys who work there.Very friendly and helpful
Jamie Norris: Great range of comics great prices
Tech Falcon: The comic shop Liverpool is one of the few places in the greater Sydney area that you can walk in and buy single issue comics. The staff are friendly and welcoming, most importantly knowledgeable the prices are quite reasonable and they have a large range of collectibles not just comics. I highly recommend putting aside some time to browse and enjoy this amazing shop.
Shaun Zahra: Great shop with good staff always enjoy going here when I visit Sydney
Anna I: It was worth the hour long drive to visit The Comic Shop. The range is massive and they offered to get stuff in for me if it wasn’t available. Thanks for your help today Jason, my son and I love your shop! I just read the scene from The Boys that we discussed, Awesome!!
Skullview: This store has improved over the last couple of years, possibly due to staff changes as they seem more engaging with customers.Too many items are still overpriced in my opinion, but there's always stuff on sale plus a bargains table as you walk in where you can pick up some great finds if you're lucky.
Andrew F: A nice little place. A solid selection of back issues and different memorabilia. The staff member that served me was very helpful when I asked if they held certain issues - he looked them up and walked me to the right area. My only feedback would be that the prices for generic back issues are all a little high (things I would expect to see for around $3 are labelled around $9) but I guess that’s just how most stores are in Australia - go to the US if you want fair prices for comics. I also asked for an itemised receipt and the gentlemen said they don’t provide that which is a bit frustrating for a shop in the modern era. Otherwise if you’re into comics then there really aren’t too many places left in Sydney to go, so I would definitely recommend checking this place out.
Shav: Literally the best comic book shop for all ages, this place deserves a lot more recognition. Would recommend to anyone who's trying to pick up a physical copy of any comic book.
Alexander Noun: They kicked me out for simply reading😕
Matt Borel: Cool little local shop, occasionally you'll find something you won't find elsewhere. Young man who runs the counter is very friendly and helpful 👍
Vic Rogelio: I took my 13 year old daughter with me to see if there where any titles that she may be interested in reading. Jason immediately greeted us and asked if there was anything we needed help with. I said to Jason that we where looking for my daughters first comic book. Jason asked my daughter a few questions to look at what might be suitable. He spent some time coming back to us with suggestions. My daughter ended up choosing the first title suggested by Jason and absolutely loves it. She has already asked me if we can go back again and is looking forward to exploring and reading other titles. I’m now a proud father of a fellow Nerd and a new happy customer of The Comic Shop Liverpool. Thanks Jason and great service and amazing shop 👍🏽

Kings Comics: what do users think?
Andrew Newbold: Always a good store to visit when I am in Sydney. Plenty of stock reasonably priced.
Mr Jordan: Great selection
Jack Starro: Wonderful store.
Joe Hill: Awesome variety of comics with transformers downstairs and everything else upstairs
D A: Im not into comics but I stopped by here to find something for my partner, and wow, what an epic store! There are 2 levels, the ground level has alot of comics ranging in alphabetical order, and some collectable items/statues surrounding the room. I wanted to get something Thor-related and found endless comics for Thor. So I randomly picked something and went with it. To be honest I have no clue when it comes to comics or anything of this sort, but it was just so cool to look at. Alot of the generic comics are cheap and affordable, then the collectable ones can cost hundreds, even thousands, what an interesting hobby. The upstairs room had alot of graphic novels and more statues/collectable items. I think theres something for everybody here. I managed to buy myself a graphic novel titled "the nice house on the lake", I have no idea what its about but it intrigued me. Anyone can find something they'll find interesting, who knows maybe this will awaken an interest I never knew I had, but I highly recommend visiting here even if its to just check it out or get a friend a gift. Its a neat little store in a quieter part of Sydney. My partner loved the gift aswell. The customer service was good too, they dont make you feel like you're being watched everytime you touch something.
Muttons: Staff is super friendly and always happy to help. They currently have a transformer exhibition going on, I highly recommend
Matthew Sanders: Amazing store. Great Transformers exhibit this month!
알렉스: The only place to get all comic books in Sydney that I know of really.. Now with online preorder shopping so you can secure variant covers easier prior to your visit.
Ryan Taylor-Davis: Beautifully, carefully packaged, fast shipping and *excellent* service! They contacted me when it looked like a comic I'd ordered had a different cover to the one I wanted, but they did some magic and managed to acquire and send the correct one! Contacted me about that too. Their selection is one of the best in the country. Highly, highly recommend.
TheAdultChild187: Great customer service and soooo many things to drawl over. Really love the feel of this shop since the move.
Tass Prassas: Great atmosphere and amazing selection of comic and figurines.
Mitchell Jeanjaquet: I’ve been a long time standing order customer. And it’s the best place to get comics in Sydney. Would even be better if they did comic grading submissions to cgc or even trading card grading as well.
Kalvin Smith: Too much fun…!!!Great stuff, who know their stuff.
Stanley W: Awesome selection and lovely staff
madbycc: Wow, loved it. Not enough place in my suitcase to take all the stuff I wanted
Nate Cole (Coley): What's not to like, comics, collectables, friendly staff, just a cool store..
Andrew Billing: The best comic shop in Sydney by far. Huge range of DC, Marvel and independent comics, along with a range of statues, coins, graded comics, other collectables and comic book accessories.
Patrick Newbery: Best Comic shop in Sydney, with a wide variety of other collectibles.
S Newman: Good shop. Very expensive for some products.
gil yahalom: I love that look of this place.
Beth Traynor: So amazing !!!

Better Read Than Dead: what do users think?
Siobhan Lyndon: Great book shop! Broad range of children's books and biographies.
James Nilphat: Cheap books and such a nice place.
Mairead McElvanna: Great local bookstore, stocking a wide selection of books for all ages
Liyana Rosli: I was looking for a gift for a child, and and the staff recommendations / reviews on the shelfs really helped with the decision. It was great experience from start to purchase.
Jordy McRae: Beautiful bookstore, prices are as expected
Liliana Mawer: Very good book store and helpful staff
반짝 반짝크리스탈: ㅈ 32
Sanjay Patni: Brilliant store and thanks for your help Tahlia!
Vincent: Very friendly and helpful staff. The monthly Bad Women and Better Reader book clubs hosted here are engaging, fun and feature “interesting” (in all senses of the word) books. Book selection is what you’d expect, mostly newer items with some classics. Would recommend to any book lover.Only nitpick is that the various monthly book clubs advertised don’t actually say what the month’s book is, just a picture graphic that doesn’t display the full cover, which makes ascertaining what the book is a bit challenging at times.
Niki Vasiliadis: Awesome bookstore, the staff know their books. Excellent range of books categorised by genre and interest. It’s located next to Dendy, parking is available via street or behind IGA.
Vicky Wong: A wonderful shop owner who collects all types of books, and they are all in good qualities, the bookshop has two floors, ground floor and floor 1 , I didn’t take a chance to look up on floor two but the book I believe is definitely good! And my handmade greeting cards is also in the shop as well so definitely give a five star review!
David K: Good selections, informed service.
Grant Brown: Great store, great range and great staff
Gianna Brassil: excellent selection of cultural studies & feminist studies, and super friendly and helpful staff - go to this bookstore!!
hai le: Courteous, knowledgeable staff who are passionate about books and reading.
Geoffrey Johnstone: This is paradise for book lovers. Staff were extremely helpful and professional. We found the book we were looking for and it was reasonably priced.
Rebecca Gee: Excellent selection and ambiance. Please please please May we have an area for adults to read??????😊😊😊😊😊
Dave Stuart: Lovely staff, and great selection. The handwritten staff notes on their favs are always a big help.Im a big supporter of buying local, but your "No refunds" policy is a massive turn off. I brought a book as a present for someone but found out the next day i didnt need it. So took back in less than 24 hours later and could only get exchange or store credit. I can understand why you'd prefer not to refund, but its not great customer service.
Phillip Tang: A very well curated selection of books including graphic novels and cook books. There are staff reviews on the shelves and then shop window does a good job of grouping books by theme such as feminism, LGBTQ, and ethically diverse authors and themes. It feels like a cultural hub of Newtown. There could be more travel books.
Allison Lee: Great local bookshop with huge range. They have reviews of books all over the shop. Excellent kids section. Support the locals!
Forever Tupou: A few smirks at my enquiry and email address from the girls on the front desk.
