Mountain Equipment: what do users think?
David Uranie: This shop is the pinnacle of customer service, and is the perfect example of a retail walk-in stores can never be replaced by online stores.I’ve been here twice with f. all knowledge about the equipment I was buying, just a printed list. Not only did the staff know their products (down to the width difference of shoes from the same brand), the other staff would take an active interest in listening to the advice of staff members to expand their own knowledge.Graeme and Peter went above and beyond to help, making sure the sizes of multiple layers worked well together, and knew the immediate differences between seemingly similar head lamps, and suggestions on coordinating carabiners.Don’t waste your time with online stores or the odd competition nearby, go here for truly knowledgeable and passionate staff who use the products they stock.
Lex Sclav: It’s a climbing store, not a camping store that has a climbing section. Exactly what I needed to get into climbing
Nicole Henness: I’m heading on my first walk/hike very soon and needed a back pack.Graeme spent a good deal of time with me, teaching me how to fit a backpack correctly and I left the store feeling very happy with my purchase. Graeme is an asset to your sales team. Thanks.
Kerry Pronk: Really helpful staff who are knowledgeable and take the time to explain things well
Chloe Yuen: Amazing service!! So knowledgable and really friendly. Helped me out immensely. Thanks!
C: I went in 2 days ago. It seems unfortunately that I was not told the truth by the pleasant helpful young man, Matt. I explained to him my podiatrist recommended a wide toe box so the first shoes he showed me were altra lone peak 6 women’s. After this he showed me the ultra raptor 2 w’s Gtx in the colour carbon/love potion. He said the are the wides. I asked him twice if they are the wide version of that shoe and he replied twice yes. It happens I didn’t purchase them. Later at home I googled information and found that the only wide version in this shoe is in the colour red plum/carbon. I dislike being treated like that. I am happy to be corrected if the pair I tried in carbon/love potion turns out to be the wide version of the ultra raptor 2 w’s gtx.
Mark.K: Fantastic shop. Great range of climbing gear and helpful staff.
Shaan K: Store has a good selection of climbing gear. Staff were really knowledgeable. Was served by Matt who was super helpful, and got us everything we needed.
Mahsa Jannati: Spent an hour in the store trying on different backpacks to find the right one for me and the gentleman who helped me patiently was great, knowledgeable, experienced and passionate. Good range of products as well.
Grace Bondoc: I visited the Sydney store today, Nov 6, 2022 at 3pm. I was looking for elastic no-tie shoelaces. 3 male staff were talking amongst themselves so I approached with a photo of the item I found online.Without even bothering to look up their stock, all 3 replied the store doesn't sell them. One of them condescendingly remarked, "You can look up on YouTube how to tie your shoelaces properly so they don't come undone."I found out, after being turned away, that the store does sell those elastic no-tie shoelaces. Totally unprofessional, disgusting attitude and inexcusable behavior. I shouldn't have to explain why I needed those special shoelaces but I have friends with arthritis and tying and untying shoelaces is difficult. The product would have made a world of difference to my friends but I won't be buying those shoelaces at Mountain Equipment.
Jarred “Jmack86” Hartley: Good detail in knowlege & equipment..Well presented shop
terry fong: Great customer service. Have a look out for Damian, really helpful and honest!
Christina and Sean Taylor: Great service and friendly staff
Richard Bleier: Excellent service
Olly Gaspar: Haven't been in the store but ordered some gear that nobody else in Aus seemed to stock. Order came next day with free shipping. Super stoked with their online service and will 100% be shopping here again.
V M: Patient professionals with true customer service. The staff took the time to understand my needs, answer my many questions and only then recommend the best choice of equipment. Their advice is informed by experience and a passion for all things outdoors. This is the place to go to first.
Greg Channer: Great service, large selection of all outdoor equipment. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff with regards to climbing shoes
Alex Dess: Helpful and friendly staff
Manuel Perdomo Ochoa: Made a problem when I ordered - called them up and within 5 minutes they had given me the refund I needed.
Anish Sinha: The best store in Sydney to buy mountaineering, bouldering or hiking equipment. These folks are also probably the only offline dealers of the La Sportiva brand of accessories. Super knowledgeable and helpful staff too.
Robert Crow: I drive 2 hours to get to this store and I am never disappointed. While much of the range have quality alternatives their range of La Sportiva climbing shoes can't be beaten currently ... hence my willingness to drive :)

Address: 72 Archer St, Chatswood NSW 2067, Australia

Schedule: Opens at 9:00 a.m.

Telephone: +61 2 9419 6955

Business type: Outdoor clothing and equipment shop

Mountain Equipment: what do users think?
Jeffrey Lehrer: Great outdoor store with plenty of climbing, canyoning, abseiling equipment.
Aiden Hanney: I went there today and was greeted by king staff which helped me fit my climbing shoes and gave great advice on how to get the most life out of my shoes. 10/10 experience. will be coming back
Chandran Pfitzner: Friendly staff, very helpful and knowledgeable when fitting climbing shoes and other gear.
Grace Hartmann: Very helpful staff for back pack fitting and buying a light weight chair. Thank you!
Doug Paterson: Brilliant service, product knowledge and understand layering performance needs in zero degree situations, heavy rain and/or alpine backcountry conditions. I went looking for a technical goretex jacket and was shown the performance features on 4 of them with goretex or similar performance materials. By comparison I can say that unless you really know what you are looking for in a technical jacket, Macpac and Kathmandu (M&K) could sell you a unsuitable fashion jacket instead of a technical jacket. Fashion jackets have the look but miss the right features due to cost cutting applied by the accountants. For example many M&K jacket models have zips that are not waterproof but rather standard zips hidden under leaky velcro flaps (little point having a technical jacket with leaky zips in the middle of a wet day or night). Some customer feedback on M&K websites say jacket were bought for bushwalking in rainy weather, but found not to be waterproofed, and leaked within hours. If a jacket cannot keep you dry in a downpour, then in wet sleeting weather like in the alpine back country could risk killing you! Love Mountain Equipment's product performance philosophy and clear point of difference.
Luke Hartman: Went there last night for a pair of bouldering shoes - the employee that helped me was fantastic and very clearly knew her stuff. She patiently sat by while i tried on about five pairs of shoes and had a nice chat while she did so. Definitely recommend this shop for anyone looking for great service. The climbing wall for testing your shoes out was also a nice touch
Jade Bowell: Was very happy with the service at Mountain Equipment. Gaston served me and he was very knowledgeable.would highly recommend!
Charlie Coquillard: Got great advice on some climbing shoes, staff was super helpful and took their time to explain to me what was the difference between the shoes. Would recommend just for the service.
Nelson: Top quality customer service. We went in to get new indoor bouldering shoes and the person that assisted me was extremely knowledgeable. I fit into shoes easily and found a good pair quickly. We were able to test the shoes out on a small demo wall they had in-store which is so important for choosing shoes. He was super patient with my partner who needed to try very many shoes to find one that was comfortable. He demonstrated excellent knowledge by finding a shoe that was comfortable for her.
Ernest Yee: Great customer service when buying climbing shoes
Gavin Rech: Good service and a large selection of great for a small shop
Nick Neal: Great in-store service at the Chatswood store. Loads of top notch gear.
Bradley Butt: Customer service second to none! We are in Canberra and after I ordered the wrong size hats they not only tracked down the correct size but express posted them at short notice so we had for the weekend. 5+/5
Caleb Hur: Fantastic customer service
Daemon: Excellent service. My go to for climbing gear now
Anne Perry: The staff are real outdoors people who know their stuff. Top notch gear, for when your life depends on it.
Alec Taylor: Outstanding customer service, extremely knowledgeable staff. Great store for the outdoors.
Anushé Everest: Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Always a pleasure to visit.
Nigel Cunningham: Great staff . Very knowledgeable
Lydia Angus: Lovely knowledgeable staff. Will go back to expand my gear
Harry Lovell: helped us out a lot! very knowledgeable staff, and super nice. cheers!

Business type: Outdoor clothing and equipment shop

Fjällräven Sydney: what do users think?
kristen: really great service, friendly staff :)
Martijn en Lianne Tiemens: Excellent advice of knowledgable and friendly staff. They knew the pros and cons not only of their own products but also of their competitors’ and were frank in where their competitors products were very good. Didn’t have jacket in the right size in store and ordered it in, was there in a couple of days. Very happy with service and my purchase.
Joshua Chan: Great service by James. Excellent knowledge of the brand. Simply a great experience at the shop. 👍👍👍
Matt Clear: Bought a $280 dollar backpack that is now useless becasue they don't offer replacent parts for a small clip that broke
Marie Nissioti: I Love my KANKEN!!! You'd be surprised how many things you can hold in just one kids backpack also had it for around 3yrs & still looks new. I love its click-on handle which I can just place the handle over my wrist so I can have both my hands free. The straps are extremely strong as I carry heavy shopping or other items just by one handle, can't say more, & worth its price if you want a durable backpack. Will be getting a navy/blue one next soon so to suit the occasion grey & navy blue.
Sandy Rawlings: James was excellent to talk to. Very friendly, professional service.
Aaron Newman: Great gear and friendly service. James and Megan were not only helpful with the products but added some great local advice for places to eat!!
George Mathew: I purchased a Fjallraven jacket in NYC. I wore it 6 times and the zipper broke.I got back to Sydney and called the Fjallraven Sydney store to see about exchanging it. I drove it 2 hours into the Fjallraven Sydney store from where I live after explaining the situation on the phone to someone at the store. When I got to the store I was told I couldn't be helped as the jacket was purchased overseas (even though I had explained this on the phone).Poor service at the Sydney store and the jacket itself was poorly made in Indonesia by a company that won't stand behind its products.
Michael: Great experience and excellent customer service. Buying quality means I wanted to take time and ask more questions than normal. The team were wonderful. Will be back again. [ 11th December ]
Zora Ma: The staff is very nice…but only to other customers, he literally gave me cold treatment out of nowhere, maybe because I'm wearing an Argentina jersey? 😄Incredibly amazing……Thanks for your quick respond, if you have a camera at the shop you can check and see who I was, I smiled to one of the staff when I walked towards him, he looked away, skipped me and greeted the other customer behind me, then skipped me again to greet the other 2 customers.
Rickie Zhang: Fantastic shopping experience. Great products.
Sean: There’s no doubting the quality of Fjällräven clothing and you certainly get what you pay for. Their shop on York Street in Sydney is well laid out and clean & tidy. James - the staff member who helped me - was a delight to deal with. He was polite, helpful, chatty & knowledgeable about the range of clothing I was interested in. A great shopping experience & I would certainly go back. Thanks.
Steven Kratsas: First off this is a brand that is on the high $ side. It is also a brand that is on the super high quality side. This stuff lasts. Period.Easily the best clothes I've ever bought here. A good selection depending on the task you need to do with the clothes.Staff here take the time to assist and are very helpful.
Dicky Evaldo: Excellent costumer service
Quentin Grignet: Awesome experience with very friendly staff! I'd buy more just for then if I could 👍 10/10 would recommend!
Brendan Daly: It’s rare to get the combination of highest quality apparel and service. The staff know the product back to front, and make the shopping experience brilliantly seamless. I’ve been back twice in the last few months and am sure I’ll be back again, no doubt decked out in Fjallraven head to toe by Christmas.
Emma Christine: I was in store yesterday afternoon . The customer service was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly.
natalie Mulueagh: Always wanted one of these backpacks...I needed a bag to travel home last minute for hand luggage so decided this was the time, unfortunately the staff member working today was unhelpful and pretty condescending - I went elsewhere as it's put me off nowThank you for your response, it was today yes. But I'm in a pretty upset state for the reasons of going back to the UK so think my emotions may have clouded my feelings for. All the other reviews are good so. Thank you for the reply.
Rick Kwong: very good quality
Izabela R: So glad I went in store rather than buying online coz you never know what colour you'll really want till you see them. So happy with my little backpack. Customer service was excellent.
Shane: Nice staff, good selection and great quality gear

Qiang Liu: I went here to buy some hiking shoes. Staff are really helpful and knowledgeable about hiking. They ordered in the shots that I wanted from another store.
Greg Andresen: Very helpful knowledgeable staff. Quality products. Some items were out of stock so they arranged to get them in for me from another store. Great service.
Lida Jamosi: very experience and helpful staff
Rainer Schowalter: Nice staff, recommended
陶博威: 服務親切、戶外活動用品品質佳又價格合理!
David Matthews: Good quality gear and good service but finding products I require hard to come by. No quick-dry short, shorts for example and no quick dry moisture-wicking polo shirts like they used to.
Ka Shing Chan: Staff were helpful and the product I wanted was in stock.
Anthony Chin: Wow! What amazing customer service 😍Brought in an Uber light Hooded Down Jacket as it had a stitching defect. Vala served me straight away and arranged for a replacement on the spot. I was even able to keep the damaged jacket too!Would definitely recommend both products and their service.
Eduardo A Gordillo: When to by gear on Sunday and shop close but in website say was open, return on Monday morning again close with a small paper stick on the door saying apologies only click and collect, but again in website says open, terrible store,I been macpac customer for long time but these store have terrible management, very disappointing ,decided to go to Anaconda and got all I needed,
Myra Luinge: Great and helpful staff & awesome gear! Very happy with my Azure sleeping bag, it's so toasty; I couldn't wait to go to sleep every night while camping. 5/5!
Paul Bush: Helpful knowledgeable staff. Gave me good advice about my current jacket. Love their products I Will be back.
Chris Read: Staff quite pleasant and helpful. Had a reasonable shoe range, which was the purpose of our visit. Fair pricing compared to nearby stores.
Mitchell Wheatley: Always had great service from the team at Macpac Sydney...
Martyn Prescott: Functional
LM 67: Jonas and his team offer excellent advice and customer service. A great experience.
Carl Schulze: Great store with friendly staffand well priced clothes.
Shai Levin: I find Macpac products to usually be of high quality. It's reasonably priced. And the staff in this store was helpful and friendly.
Paris: This is THE best Macpac store! very caring and helpful staff, they helped me change the size of an item I had bought a while ago from other store (when the actual store had refused to!)
Zhengxiang Feng: Good location but service not quite up to the Macpac standard. Would much recommend the adventure hub in Camperdown or any other stores ( Paddy Palin, Kathmandu, Patagonia) nearby.
Johnny David: Asked for a different size, watched the lady serve 5 other people, watched her put the item I gave her back, as if I never asked. Stood there like an idiot for 5 minutes, watched her serve more people, stood there some more, decided to leave and give my money to a business that actually wants it

Paddy Pallin: what do users think?
Sabrina Allam: Taylor from Paddy Pallin provided exceptional help and advice over the phone. She was knowledgeable, patient, and her recommendations were spot-on. Highly recommend her and Paddy Pallin for anyone in need of outdoor gear and great customer service. Can't wait to pick up my gear :)
Daniel Wilton: Friendly and fast
David Kim: This is not a shopfront, only a collections/pick up centre.Obviously order online and pick up here if it suits.M-F 9-5PM only
John Singleton: As quite a few others have found out the hard way after traveling to the store only too fine out it's not a store you can browse our see anything it's a Wearhouse and you have to order online
Nikolaus Oliver: Excellent customer service by Aminah (I hope I spell your name correctly) who let me try different shoes brand. Special thanks to Taylor who earlier today answered my enquiries about exchanging shoes in the Parramatta store.Cheers,Niko
Jake Stephenson: Drove half an hour to the store to try something on & was told by staff that customers are not allowed to enter store due to Covid. We’re 2.5 years into this “pandemic”. Get a grip. Will not ever be shopping here due to this ridiculous policy that this company still has.
Kate Deakin: I couldn't hope for any better customer service than I receive from this awesome store. Their customer service is outstanding, possibly the best I have ever experienced from any business. All the staff in the city store are so knowledgeable, helpful and lovely. They really care about their customers. For these reasons I always buy from Paddy Pallin (unless they don't have something!) Plus they post items in compostable packaging! What's not to love!
Leni Chen: Worst service everOrdered 2 weeks ago, hasn't been ship until now.Send message to costumer service twice, no answer at all...nothing..Why bother to accept transactions if you guys can't process?
Andrew Toor: Very helpful and informative staff.
Trevor Green: Great service and price
Ian Forest-Jones: The team was so helpful today in doing my mandatory gear check for the UTA. Very friendly and very accommodating. I will definitely be back when my head is a little more clearer and more open to thinking about other things than a stupid long run :-)
Raphael Angelo Mella (Raz): Experienced and accommodating staff. I only hope big brands start sending Australia their entire colourway for boots and shoes
Lydia: Great staff that answered my questions and had detailed knowledge about new products and helpful tips for aspiring boulderers. Interesting location though, a bit far from the Westfield's so had to walk 7 mins (which isn't terrible) :)
Richard Schmidt: Great service, very friendly staff willing to help you.Good knowledge of the things they sell.
Dr Sam: This store offers truly exceptional customer service! We visited this afternoon because our son needed a backpack for his first high school camp early next year.Staff member Charlie helped us with the purchase. When we weren't sure what backpack we needed, he offered to look at the school's notice about the camp and advised us which backpack our boy needed accordingly. He explained that the backpack that he recommended was not on the shelves outside but offered to check in the storeroom for us. When he came back with the right backpack, he explained to us in detail about the different compartments and straps of the backpack, got our son to try it on and helped adjust all the straps to get the best fit for him, as well as answered all of our questions patiently and clearly.I would strongly recommend this shop to anyone looking to buy outdoor and travel gear. Thank you again for a most pleasant shopping experience, Paddy Pallin; and for all of your help this afternoon, Charlie!
Peter Kimpton: Google had updated Christmas opening hours to 5pm a tad early, so when I rocked up at 4:15pm on a Sunday they were already closed ... But the legendary staff let me in, while they finished cleaning up, and I had a quick candy-store experience. I left with the pot-clamp-holder I needed, with some Christmas gift ideas for the fam, and very happy with their exceptional customer service. ++ @Charlie and @(Gary? I think?) who helped me over the phone earlier in the week too.
Paola Lorenzo: The staff at this location are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I've received top notch service over the phone and in store and on every visit they've been super friendly. Great place to start any adventure!
SANDRA NIÑO: Staff was very helpful and prices are within budget!
Michael Littlejohn: great staff and even better range of products of a high quality.
Thomas: Great store with friendly and knowledgeable staff and a wide range of products.Big shout out to Amanda for price matching my jacket, saving me a few hundred dollars!
A L: Great service from the dude that served me (M) and also to the Lady that gave me tips about my trekking pole. Both are very helpful and have wide knowledge. Definitely coming back to this shop (Parramatta) in future.

Paddy Pallin: what do users think?
Bertster: Awesome range of Equipment and apparel here, but it’s hard to beat the real world advice from the staff - there’s no substitute for staff that use the gear that they are selling. Patrick was very handy with the advice, and ordered in the gloves I needed too.
Sunil J: The most amazing staff and amazing old-school friendly customer service that you can find. Patrick was a legend, explaining the range of shoes multiple times to my flustered mind, explaining things, giving me so much of useful advice (unlike other stores where sales reps simple repeat branding buzzwords and try sell you things dressed up with gimmicks) - you could see he truly had a lot of depth to his knowledge. 10/10 hands down, worth the price premium.
Dimas Menelau: Great service and place
Damien Pope: Great support from very knowledgeable staff, got to try on the backpack and wear it around the shop with weight placed inside the bag for a real life fit,Also some very colourful bag by Cotopaxi
Doo belaki: Very good range of gear and at slightly better prices than most of the usual hiking gear stores / brands. Friendly and helpful staff
Tony Holdgate: Probably the best service I've ever experienced. The sales people were so busy and still managed to serve us all professionally and still friendly. No wonder they've been here since 1930
Luke Richards: Absolute brilliant customer service. Very helpful and extremely accommodating. Definitely have my continued business.
施旻伶: you can get almost everything here you need for outdoor activities, member price better than others!
Tanith H: V busy, but staff were still able to serve & acknowledge customers, & assist each other, while keeping the atmosphere fun & friendly - staff were awesome...1 star off because of CBD location...!
Ollie Griffiths: I went in twice this week, and spoke to 2 separate staff members about some past trips and a trip I have planned coming, the staff were incredible! Very knowledgeable of the gear, but also the surrounding areas, camping spots, genuine experience of the outdoors and simply happy to help! Perfect shopping experience, impeccable customer service, looking forward to returning for more supplies! Happy days, thanks team!!
Katrina Dunlop: Had what I wanted. However, it seemed to be an inconvenience when I asked a staff member for help.
D Nickell: Great geat and helpful staff
Jens Hevike: I found very experienced staff that helped me with all my requests promptly and professionally. A part that I didn't buy in that shop was repaired free of charge. Excellent service.
Saroj Mahat: Beat customer service received from Pemba Sherpa from Canberra shop.
Rainer Schowalter: Very helpful staff. Unfortunately couldn't find what I was looking for. But the gentleman who served me was excellent. Prime example of excellent customer service.
Patrick Coleman: I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for camping or hiking equipment. The staff are extremely passionate and knowledgeable about their range of products, which is very helpful. When I experienced a problem with one of my purchases, one of their team members Kiyotaka went above and beyond for me, ensuring I'll be shopping here again for my next purchase.
Sybylla Brown: The staff are incredibly knowledgable and helpful. There's a good selection of quality products and the prices are fair.
Missspelt: Went in to buy hiking boots, was completely ignored . The sales staff were serving another person trying on at least 20 different boots, there were boxes everywhere and nowhere to sit to try on boots. For some reason the staff did not even acknowledge us or even make eye contact! After about 10 minutes of patiently waiting I politely asked for my size in boots and they were promptly retrieved, I was just handed the box and then the staff went back to completely ignoring us! It was such a weird and surreal experience to not even be acknowledged, not even a "be with you in a minute", while the staff absolutely doted on other customers (some who'd even arrived after us), chatting away about their preferences and upcoming trips and fetching multiple pairs of shoes, going back and forth from the storeroom. Maybe I didn't look enough like I was going to go on a hike(?) I had city clothes on, however I wanted to buy an expensive pair of hiking boots for an upcoming trip. From this unfriendly experience, I doubt I will ever set foot in this shop ever again, I will go to Kathmandu instead, at least they greet their customers and make eye contact.
Dave Chapell: Fantastic range and helpfully and knowledge staff
Colin Cooper: Fantastic service as always today, staff super helpful!
Jessica Picton: Great selection of good quality equipment which the store will price match. The staff have been so helpful and stand behind warranty claims even years down the track

Subhadeep Sengupta: Has great variety.
Dol Ojha: Expensive but best product
Quin Tashy: Poor customer service from Levi.
RUSH Wang: 很好的购物体验
Kristy Clark: Great range of stock and the sale items were great. Yet the customer service was hit and a miss. After actively looking for assistance for 10mins to try on a pair of shoes. The assistant looked visibly annoyed that I was asking him to do his job.
Cyrus Irani: Walked all the way from Wynyard and they closed down half an hour early
Rob Davey: All good
Amit Pant: One of the bigger Kathmandu stores in the city, has a fairly decent collection of kathmandu gear
Thomas Odundo: Great gear, good offers
Sota Maehara RUNNING: Yao Ming was an absolute legend. Thanks so much for your help!
黛伶李: Because the size of the online shopping did not match, the male clerk (Raman)at the town hall store provided us with service today, and also helped me check the inventory of nearby stores and confirm the size. I really appreciate his help in changing it to the size I wanted.
Stephen Brown: Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, helped me pick out a decent pair of hiking socks and shoes on sale.
mia syu: I was excellent experience, good staff, great recommendation of shoes. I told about what kind of area I will go to and one of staff really gave proper recommendations when I about trekking shoes are amazing😀😀. Definitely check out and talk to staff how to choose shoes ☺️
Christina Nguyen: This is the worst experience I have ever had with any store. Period. Do not come here. I ordered a product via click and collect. This morning, I called multiple times, only to find out that the product was missing. Half an hour later, I received an email asking me to come in-store to collect this aforementioned item. I called multiple times to ask what was going on and no one answered. I trekked over 1 hour in the 30C heat to collect this product (a $18 beanie), only to be told that they needed to send me an email “confirming that my order was ready for collection in order to give [me] a refund”. My lengthy commute was for absolutely nothing. It was for an administrative technicality. After I spoke to the staff, it became clear that they did not care for their customers at all. They did not even have the decency to send a follow-up email or call to clarify with me that I did not need to come in-store. Horrible customer service. Horrible people. Do not come here. It is a massive waste of time. If I could give this company a sub-zero rating, I would. I will never be returning. Your management will be hearing from me shortly.
Advaitha Nair: Pathetic experience. Wanted to know about tax refund at the airport and Daniel did not do anything about it which is ok but didn't even bother to ask someone else to help us even after persistent questions. Literally had to ask him multiple times to get someone else to answer our questions. Kept asking him to help us but was quite rude and made it seem like he did not care about serving customers especially when the customer is spending over 700 dollars in your store, we'd expect to give decent service. Absolutely pathetic. Will never go again to this store. Who hired him?
Daniel Tucker: Excellent service. Thank you Daria for personal attention.
Sean: Very friendly, polite & helpful staff. Thank you 🙂
David Gomez: Can't say haven't been shopping there yet

Kathmandu Pitt Street: what do users think?
Agustina Alonso: I wanted to take a moment to recognize Erica for her outstanding customer service. During our recent visit, she went above and beyond to assist us and was incredibly patient throughout the process.Erica's knowledge of the store's products was truly impressive, and she was able to provide us with excellent advice and recommendations. We appreciated her expertise and felt confident in our purchasing decisions thanks to her guidance.Overall, Erica's friendly and professional demeanor made our shopping experience an absolute pleasure. We are grateful for her exceptional customer service and would give her 5 stars without hesitation.Thank you, Erica, for your dedication to providing top-notch service to your customers. You are a true asset to the team and an excellent representative of the store.
Thomas Odundo: Closing down
Tor Chiu: Ok for outdoor gear. Not a wide range of stuff.
Mark Ziegler: Good that I checked the prices . Apparently a fake website is up at the moment . Used it for my birthday gift . The person who assisted me was very helpful . Hehe the one behind the counter with a beard seem half interested . It was for my birthday present but nothing was acknowledged. After I said good bye 👋 the cashiere had his head down still in some paperwork . Sure wouldn’t hurt to look up and give me eye contact . Anyway I went back and thank the previous young man who was super friendly clean shaven . I like Kathmandu . You pay for premium I know . Always enjoy your products . Make sure the fake site can be taken down . Nearly purchased a few things fm them , but nothing lost.
We Love Parquet Australia: Great place
Pixel Le'bon: Enjoy browsing the store and see what’s new. Good quality clothing and accessories for outdoor activities.
Sudesh K C: Remind me of my home time when I hear this brand everytime.Been familiar with the designs but have to admit that quality has always been better.
shipton bogle: Super helpful staff. Helped me get sized for the perfect hiking boot fit. Very knowledgeable.
Angela Newland: What I wanted wasn't on the shelf but staff was happy to go looking for it.
Tree Power: I have to warn others looking for trustworthy gear.$215 jacket marked down from $400, advertised as waterproof, got me soaked after a walk in mild rain! That is with the hoodie up. That's deceiving advertising, and that's illegal, and i'd say to anyone looking for a rain jacket to avoid the Kathmandu jackets. It's definitely not a premium quality and honest adventure brand, but more of a scam brand.Amphi Men's Rain Jacket...So you want people to pay over $600 for a better one!?You can buy a $20 raincoat that is far more waterproof than this...Really, that is a disgusting rip off and manipulative, etc.
EL- hajj: Very high-quality product great designs sometimes too pricey but it’s worth it going in and checking stuff on sale
Alan W: Excellent service from Kevin! I went to exchange a Jacket 2 weeks ago and Kevin was friendly and knowledgeable, he showed me every detail of the jacket, how to maintain and fold it as well. A true customer service professional!
Iris Zhao: Thanks Stefan for helping out while I don't know much about what's best to wear to Antarctica. He greeted me as soon as he saw me walked in the store, helped me finding the essential things and suggesting the right products and look up sizes in other stores for me. He then worte down what I needed without me asking, in case I get confused with their product names at other Kathmandu store. He was very genuine, helpful and professional. Truly a bonus to this brand and made customer felt really good shopping there. Thanks Stefan!
Vineeth Elias: Really bad service. I was there to return and I waited almost 10 minutes to reach my turn and finally when it came, the cashier told me to move to another counter for returns. Rather than accepting me as their next customer, the lady at the “return counter” processed all the customers in her current queue and considered me the last. Please improve on customer services and the quality of the service provided. Also please put a sign board for “returns”.
Shayan Khaliq: Quality stuff, at a price.
Ling yu Hou: Great customer services I love Pitt street Kathmandu 👍👍👍👍👍
Vut Tran: Bad company - purchased a gift card that doesnt even work. I cant even get my money back because they said theres no refund.
vera auerbach: super helpful staff, store is a bit hard to find, look for lower level
Aastha Sherchan: Great customer service by Kevin. Without even asking, He made sure i knew how to care the down jacket i purchased and also how to fold it nicely for travel. 5 star for the customer service
Brian Kirton: Store supposed to open at 8:00am. Now 8:26 and store closed. A lot of people have come and gone.
Fereshteh Mehrnia: Good customer service

Trek & Travel: what do users think?
Nicole Henness: I was looking for my first hiking back pack. Jasmin was extremely helpful and informative and gave me lots of tips and opinions on necessary and unnecessary items. Thank you Jasmin.
Paul McGovern: Staff were all really helpful and courteous. Purchased a One Planet pack online and had to exchange it for a larger size. No issues and fast turnaround. Thanks Meg!
Evan Predavec: Really helpful staff and a great range of quality travel and bushwalking gear.
Bertster: This place is a hidden gem (that’s not really that hidden if you know the Kent Street strip of outdoor/hiking/camping equipment and apparel shops). They stock clothing apparel brands like Outdoor Research, that we here in Australia can’t access directly from their websites in the USA. The second floor upstairs is dedicated to equipment like the full range of backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, and climbing equipment.
Dave Scott: Very knowledgeable staff. Good range of gear for hiking and of the beaten track travel.
Liz Thomas: Aug 22 - I ordered a guidebook which arrived quickly - unfortunately, however, it was the wrong one. I called up and was served by Helena, who acknowledged the mistake straight away. She sent me the correct book via Express Post, and I had it in my hands (in SA) under 24 hours from the phone call. Great customer service, much appreciated!Update Jan 23 - another great online transaction. Good selection of approach shoes, got mine interstate in under 24 hours. Go-to store for last minute purchases.
K T: very nice service and hospitality
Felix Marsh-Wakefield: All the staff are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Shout-out to Saxon who helped us with our bags!
L J: Minus 10 for absolutley zero customer service..blokes in there have no skills at all in dealing with customers and totally rude! Have never encountered such an uptight bunch of attendants. Will never purchase from you based on your disgusting attitudes
Joey Henderson: Excellent customer service
Jeffrey Horton: This is a great place for shopping for gear for an outdoor walking holiday (or hiking, tramping, or whatever else you might call a trip where you walk long distances in a non urban setting, potentially far away from other people, maybe camping with a tent). Most of the gear available here is appropriate for that level of activity; if you wanted, say, mountaineering equipment, then it might be best to try someplace else. I've always found the staff here to be friendly and helpful.
Martyn: Very professional Trekking store. I work in the industry and I was after a One Planet pack for a Tasmanian hike, and Jaz was very knowledgeable and did a great pack fitting. Shout out to Hazel as well for great advice about lay-by option and letting me know about a discount I was eligible for. If you're planning an adventure, this store has got it all. Premium product, knowledgeable staff, and friendly professional service. Thanks team!
M C: I went to shop for a hiking boots. Staffs are very friendly and knowledgable, the rep was so patient to understand my need, let me try LaSportiva and guide me how to evaluate the boots. I bought it and loving it. Highly recommend this store because they have a wide range of selections and customer service is excellent, they even help to check stocks from the sister’s store when stocks in their store is not available.
Jidde Jacobi: Fantastic store with both honest as well as knowledgeable staff. Can't recommend them enough!
James Brown: Full of great stuff for hiking etc.
Ashleigh Mouttet: I had a terrific experience in Trek & Travel. I was fitted for an Aarn backpack by Jaz, she was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient. She spent an hour fitting different packs to try find the right one (unfortunately Aarn just didn’t suit my physique). The staff were all so lovely and helpful. They stock quality gear and quality staff, would 100% recommend!
GU Yiqian: Amazing service and fantastic equipment selling..
Genevieve Murray: Helpful staff
Alfred Tsang: Staff were extremely helpful with suggesting and finding the perfect fit, 20 minutes before closing. Thank you!
Julian Laurens: Helpful staff. Good service. Good range of quality brands. Worry free shopping experience.
Janomes Martinez: Great store with a broad range of outdoor gear! Staff always helpful, especially one lady who sits up stairs at her desk who helped me out with my Aarn balance packs. She recommended me bringing my pack in, helping me custom fit the packs perfectly to me/my pack with carabiners :-)
