Lorraine's Patisserie: what do users think?
Yaoqi Huang: The worst service ever.
Alice Xu: If no one answer the phone at all, please just remove the number from your advertising. Such a waste of time. It’s about to close down anyway so don’t want to give too much criticism. Good cake in the cheese cake category, not impressive enough for a third try (seconds is bought by others) until I heard it’s about to close down. Definitely not worth a trip in vain, will not try again, bye bye.
Carolyn Tran: Lorraine, you're lucky you make good cakes. I'm not sure how you've managed to keep your business otherwise, your service is appalling. Beyond disappointed to have had dealt with you during this time of the year (Christmas).
Zac Grady: Yummy croissant but expected a greater variety of goods there. Didn’t try anything else unfortunately
Yue Han: Me and my partner both agreed that this is the BEST CHEESECAKE and PUFF we've ever had. The puff had a crispy camaralised layer at top, and a soft puff pastry underneath it with cream fillings. It was amazing how these two combined so well together. The cheesecake had a really fluffy texture and there was this just the right amount of sourness that balanced the richness and sweetness of the cheesecake so well that you would only wanna have another one.On the other hand, we both think the signature Mascarpone cheesecake is below the standard of the other two.Overall a really impressive dessert experience and we would definitely come back again.
Paul Dollard: Stood for 5 minutes without a hint of acknowledgment. So rude.
Mohammad Habibur Rahman (Sumon): Very good for cakes and pastries.
Rachel Y: I've always known about Lorraine's cheesecake and loved it. It was the opposite of the heavy New York cheesecake - light and fluffy with the lemony flavour. In recent years, their strawberry mascarpone has become my new favourate, a must try!
R A: Very expensive but worth every penny! The Mascarpone Cake is simply delicious and those mouth watering Choux Puffs are dangerously addictive….you simply won’t be able to stop at one! Everything at Lorraine’s is exquisite, so you can’t go wrong, whatever you choose!
Angel Z: Old school almond croissant which had light crisp layers, a cluster of toasted almonds dusted with icing sugar on top and dried cherries + jam in the centre. The pastry was crumbly, fresh and very delicious!Unfortunately, I personally dislike the taste of preserved cherries, however, I understand this is subjective. My preferred filling is creamy & nutty or citrus & fruity. All in all, it’s better than the almond croissants of piccolo Leo & Bourke Street bakery, but falls short of Lode pies & Banksia Bakehouse.Would be keen to come back and try their cakes!
bernard chee: It’s certainly a hidden gem across Wynyard station in Ivy precinct. Experience cakes, tarts and other pastries. Catch a glimpse of Lorraine Godsmark, working behind the open pastry kitchen. Hits and misses for me where Coconut macaroon takes the top spot, follow by Mascarpone and Franjipane tart.Take away only.
LU SZ-PEI: Those two are nice.
Bo Jun Lam: The Pâtisserie is tucked away in a small alley snd its easy to miss. I went at about 2pm and there was not a lot available. I didn't have much choice and just got the mascarpone cake and the Ruby's cake. But let me tell you the mascarpone cake was so so so good, one of the best I've ever had!
A K: Love it.. wish they were not sold out
Mart Deg: I had the coconut macaroons, sausage roll, lemon cheesecake, Frangipane tart and Ruby’s cake (not in that order)All were great but my favs were the Ruby’s cake and Franjipane cake. By far!The cheese cake base had a bit too much ginger for my likings but I must admit that I am not a big fan of ginger to start with. The cheesecake itself was incredible. So light and fluffy. The sausage roll was enjoyable but average. maybe I had too much cake beforehand and was too saturated. Will definitely return.Highly recommended.
Christine Dang: I’ve been coming back to Lorraine’s for the strawberry mascarpone cake since it opened. It’s my husbands favourite cake so I get it for him every year. I also like the Ruby’s cake. When I have friends visiting from interstate, I take them here to try the cakes. It’s best to pre order in advance otherwise I think you can purchase individual serves on the day. I tried to order last Friday to pick up on Saturday and it was sold out, that’s how popular the cake is!Lorraine is a humble, dedicated and hardworking woman. One evening before closing I picked up a cake and she was the last one in the shop. I told her that she works hard, and her response was, “my team are good to me”.Today my husband picked up his cake with my 2.5 yo who wanted to eat the cake immediately. She could see he was getting upset and she gave him some chocolates to have instead.Thank you Lorraine :)
Charbel Azzi: Absolutely terrible service. Called up the store at 9am on Friday morning to order a cake, knowing they open at 8:30 and no one answered. Kept trying to call but no one picked up until 10:30am. By that time the cake I wanted for that day was sold out. Fine. Placed an order for Saturday morning to pickup and the lady on the phone told me it’d be ready at 12pm. Went into the store at 12:40pm, my cake was not put aside. They had no recollection of my order, nor did they have any cakes to let me buy. The lady at the counter then said that it’d be ready in 30 minutes. What’s the point of calling up, ordering and being told a time if they’re not even going to have the cake ready? Terrible experience, will not be returning.
Rachel S: Mascarpone cake is a must try!
hill ary: The negative reviews on here about horrific customer service is all true. Came at opening time to purchase breakfast - was told pretty much nothing is ready, come back in 15 mins. I come back in 20 mins, there's still nothing ready, I can try coming back in 5 mins. Why even bother putting up opening times if you have nothing to sell. Save your money and your time and don't come here. Merivale needs to get rid of this terrible business
Zoe Chen: The great bakery hide into the alley, every time pass through always have long queue. This time I try croissant and cheese cake, croissant surprisingly have wonderful balance between the sweet and acid from fruit. The other cakes is perform well, not too sweet I love that. But I saw the review from other guests seems service have big issues which need to improve

Sydney Cakery: what do users think?
Mina Vai: I arranged for a pumpkin spiced cake with cream cheese frosting for my brother's wedding. The team at Sydney Cakery arranged a cake tasting and made adjustments to recipe as requested by the couple. The cake was delicious! Caryn and her team did an amazing job. Appreciate the open lines of communication and the service was great. Thank you again! :)
Moshik G: Took the combo , the coffee was very good, the ciabatta with the smash avocado was pretty simple and not really satisfying
Eli Rifai: Can't say if I stumbled upon this place by accident, or by fate. 10/10 made my day
Ray Meneses: Ordered 2 Key Lime pies for a dinner party, they were delicious! loved by all! Only bad thing is I live too far away and delivery cost more than a pie hahah. Still rate 5 stars!
keke ow: Was greeted with friendly service and a lot of selection of different desserts: cakes, cinnamon rolls, cookies and brownies. The carrot cake itself is slightly dense whilst being soft, well spiced with pieces of carrot strips throughout. The cake itself isn’t particularly sweet as the spices of nutmeg and cinnamon are prominent however the frosting pushes through and makes this dessert. The frosting was a bit grainy but very sweet, with hints of cinnamon that perfectly compliment the carrot cake. I love how it is three layers, making a more unique texture and more evenly distributing the delicious frosting. Will be back for the red velvet cake in the future.
Tim Masters: I just had the best cheesecake of my life. Sweet and almost fluffy, absolutely worth fighting the kids over the next forkful!
Teanna Ta: Amazing cake shop. Their cakes are seriously amazing - so moist and flavorful! I loved them so much that I even chose them to make my wedding cake. The owner is also a really nice lady and she always responds quickly to my emails. You should definitely give this place a try!"
M D: Excellent classic chocolate cake. Will definitely order from them again - the red velvet looks great. Thanks!
Jessica Campbell: I highly recommend Sydney Cakery. Excellent delivery option within the CBD, the cake was a big hit and the online ordering was easy and had lots of options for customising our order. I will use again.
manisha reddy: Red velvet cake is decent size
Ambassador Bas: 10 years ago on my 50th birthday I was introduced to Red Velvet cake at the Cheese Cake factory in San Francisco, I loved it so much I have sourced a cake where ever I am since for my and partners birthdays. London, Amsterdam two different Cakery stores but none have been close to my first. That is until Now; for my 60th I’ve been fortunate to to find the Sydney Cakery. Here the Red Velvet cake was superb. Absolutely delicious and all my guests at my party loved it, some saying it was the best they’d ever had and where did I get it.I found the online ordering system to be easy and straight forward with good pictures and descriptions. When I picked the cake up the team were friendly and polite and wished me happy birthday which was lovely and put the cake into a good secure bag, as I had a 2klm walk to the restaurant.I rate this Red Velvet cake as in my best top two I’ve ever had and will be ordering from them again, the whole experience was pleasant and ultimately very tasty. Thank you Caryn and the team at Sydney Cakery.
Jen Chapman: I would like to say a huge THANK-YOU to Caryn and the Sydney Cakery Team. They very kindly accepted my order even though they were closed for some days over the festive period. Fabulous Customer Service!! I purchased a Red Velvet Cake, Devil’s Food Chocolate Cake and 2 boxes of the mixed brownies for my partners birthday. Everything was absolutely delicious, cake’s were moist with lovey flavours and the brownies…Wow so rich and tasty. A total hit with all the party guests! I know where to come in the future whenever I need excellent cakes!
Malcolm Savage: Wonderful cakes, food and service, especially the pumpkin pie
Emily Dong: If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. We had placed an order for a cake for my sister's birthday and were given the wrong one. We had wanted to give the store the benefit of the doubt - but the owner had truly abominable customer service.Owner did not admit to her mistake when confronted, instead expecting us to bring back the cake if it was incorrect. So unreasonable. Did she want us to bring back the cake after the restaurant had already cut it up for us? In pieces? She changed her story many times and made up various excuses as well as saying that she was not responsible and blaming an employee (as an owner, this is not on...)Terrible customer service and we will not be returning. Even looking through her responses to other reviews, you can see a pattern of the owner refusing to admit to her own mistakes. Stay away.
Nicole Chin: I ordered a key lime pie for a Thanksgiving dinner and some of my friends said ‘best key lime pie ever!’ It was absolutely delicious and a crowd pleaser :)
Robyn Sharp: I ordered the Red Velvet cake for my 40th Bday and it was outstanding! I have extremely high expectations when it comes to red velvet as I lived in the States for a couple years and they really know how to do red velvet. This one was probably one of the best I’ve tasted and everyone that had some said it was absolutely delicious. The cream cheese icing was delicious and it was just so light and moist. Will def be purchasing from you again. Thanks so much :)
J Coup: Super prompt and helpful regarding custom orders. Staff are all friendly in their communication, and they have very affordable prices.
Ryland Jessie (Ryland): I didn’t eat anything, so can’t comment on the quality of the cakes, but I was super disappointed that the only gluten free options (chocolate, raspberry & chocolate, and orange something) were very plain looking and didn’t have icing.
Liv S: I ordered a cake for my brothers 21st bday. The cake turned out absolutely beautiful. I’ve seen past reviews about the cakes being too sweet so I specifically asked for it to not be sweet and it wasn't at all. The cake was amazing. Hands down the best cake. Although I did ask for a sponge cake, it more just a simple vanilla cake and not a sponge. However, because the cake was so tasty, I didn’t mind. The cake was amazing. Customer service is great and overall the whole experience of ordering a cake from this place via online was easy. They delivered the cake to my house and were lovely. The price was also too good to beat as other cake shops were trying to charge me over $200+. I’ll be ordering from Sydney Cakery again in the future.
Luciano Baltazar: disgusting, they sell cakes in poor condition and do not respond or return the money, please do not buy here, I would never do it again, terrible service and also they were not delivering the candles I bought and the felix birthday decoration, disorganized, disgusting cake.
JAVIER IGNACIO SALINAS MELENDEZ: It is THE WORST PASTRY SHOP, disgusting, they sold me an old vegan cake, they ruined our birthday, they are swindlers, I sent them an email and they did nothing, they replied asking me if I had it stored for many days and no, I had just removed it from your disgusting pastry. Jonno Tims: Love this spot. No fuss, simple. Staff are always friendly and genuine
Natalie Grey: They have provided me with so many years of such amazing cakes :)
bridget vanderburg: Love love love this place. When I'm in Sydney it's my go to for great coffee and delicious pastries and baguettes! The friendliest staff too.
Sofi Mira: Really nice food and staff!! We loved the almond croissant and the Hungarian salami ciabatta!
Pia Kehal: Came in here on a social media recommendation and definitely didn't regret it! It's a tiny little place but the staff are absolutely lovely and make incredible baked goods. I got the crispy pork belly roll, which honestly had the BEST bread roll i've ever eaten in my life, freshly baked and crunchy. The pork and salad was incredibly flavourful and I definitely need to get it again. I also got an almond croissant and friand, both of which were very yummy and full of almond flavour. Counting down the days until I can come back!
Fairdinkum Reviews: Excellent hole in the wall in the CBD.. fresh baked and very nice engaging owners and staff.. these guys work hard to satisfy.. well done!
David V Marley: The best service and cakes around not to mention the pork rolls 😋
Tammy Marks: Best freshly baked goods I have ever eaten and all made in house from scratch.Your almond croissant 🥐 berry friand, savoury rolls and coffee! As if this isn’t enough, they also provide the best service!! Best service I’ve ever had in any cafe and so much joy and connection from the owners to their customers! I will be back 🙌🏻
이창현: 지나가다가 얼떨결에 들어간 카페인데한인 사장님 두분이 너무 친절하시고에그 베이컨 샌드위치 먹었는데진짜 인생 샌드위치를 만났습니다커피도 맛있어요!!!
Jay Hinton: We happend upon this amazing little place while in Sydney for the weekend. The service was so welcoming, cheerful and engaging, we immediately felt like we had been customers for life. This coupled with a croissant so good it is up there with the likes of Lune croissantry, makes this place a must!Ps. They also gave our friend (happend to be his birthday) a free coffee... The world needs more people as nice as this team of two are. Thanks so much for making our day!
Melinda O'Rourke: Delicious croissants, pastries and friands made every day. Lovely family run business so friendly.
소유리: It's my favorite place to go when I want to experience delicious bread with a good boss🧡
Shady Nimr: Excellent bakery ☕️
Caterina Frank: Nice Bakery. We tried some of the rolls and some sweets. All of it was amazing. Recommendation of the owner- Almond Friand - was the best. Love the place 3
Angeline Ng: The best Almond croissant 🥐! Staffs are friendly and helpful too.
Ben Turner: Cupcakes on Pitt should be a go to for anyone wanting the best coffee, pastries or lunch rolls in Sydney. Fresh bread baked in house, coffee that tastes like coffee and epic service! They are also kind and look after their loyal customers. Cupcakes on Pitt is just down the street from the best phone repair shop in Sydney - Screen Fixed!
shmuel yosef: So delicious!!!!! We came again day after to buy more!
Alumin Lava: 너무 친절하시고 컵케이크도 맛있었지만 크로와상은 진짜 너무 맛있었어요!!
J P: Couldn't get any cupcakes at the cafe, which was disappointing. You would need to pre order the cupcakes at least 2 days in advance. The coffee here is smashing, the best, believe the hype from other reviews. Also great friendly customer service. Definitely will return for a cupcake and coffee, when we next in the area! Also love the cool coffee cup prints ☕
Morgan James: Do yourself a favour and stop in here for anything and everything, it is all sensational!
Thomas LIM: Nice :)

YUMMY!The Wellington Cake Shop is a family run business and everyone is so passionate about their job. You can taste the difference! Francesca Booth: My absolute favourite cake shop in Sydney! My personal favourties are the bagels, donuts, and chocolate icecream (always amazing)!
Resa V.: The Lady Staff was very nice and a very tasty chocolate cake!
Nick Mate: Great selection of cakes and bagels. Definitely one of the best European cake stores around. Pity the service is a bit harsh (for want of a better word), we may have just picked a bad time, who knows.
wH0 kN0wZ? aB0uT mE!! (Wh0 kN0w3?): Best ice-cream shop in Sydney. No, THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD. Seriously, I can taste the goodness in the ice cream and the cakes and the bagels are HEAVEN but they need to BRING BACK THE MUD SLICE!!!Kinda unreliable tbh
Katina Sahara: Anyone who's Polish like myself will certainly appreciate this bakery for the flavours reminiscent of the bakeries back home! It's an old style, family-run bakery with a good range in differing baked goods. The poppy seed roll is generous in the filling and perfectly balanced in sweetness.
Sam Peter: If you want some of the best European Hungarian cakes there is no place better in Sydney. Couldn't recommend it enough for any fans of delicious baking
Julla Jones: Saw all the positive reviews about this place and decided to finally pay a visit.Friendly service and a great selection of Hungarian specialty cakes and breads.Got myself a slice of Flódni and Rigo Jancsi.Volt nagyon finom! Authentic and simply delicious. Will be back to try their ice cream, Dobos torta and Rétes (Strudel)!
Mick C: Such a beautiful place for fantastic cakes
Bálint Bakos: Amazing Hungarian cakes! ❤️🤤🤤🙏
Charlieangles Angles: Every time I come here they charge me differentprice same lady charge me on sane weak with same item different prire when I ask she say price go up , following weak other gentleman charge me different price for same item never come back again I think they start to ripping off people 😡
Letta Reich: This is by far the best cake shop in the area.Everything there is so yummy and authentic. Also have great bagels!!!
Hannah: Terrible customer service. The woman who ordinarily serves me has been lovely. Today a man took my order and, after waiting a long time for coffee, wrongly charged $25 for 3 coffee's. Upon realising, I lined up again to clarify the misunderstanding. The man was extremely rude and belittled me in front of other customers lining up. He refused to rectify this error. I left the store very upset. The coffee's were lukewarm, weak and he mixed up the orders. I will not be returning. Do not order coffee from this shop. Unacceptable.
D: Asked for a Dirt Chai (aka a chai with a shot of coffee) and the gentlemen charged me for two separate coffees rather than just adding a shot and charging for an extra shot.He was incredible rude and argumentative when I explained that it’s no different to adding an extra coffee shot. Anyway, terrible coffee, and overpriced. avoid avoid avoidPictured below is my $9.50 small dirty chai

Black Velvet Sydney: what do users think?
Hima A: Delivery was on point, cake looked amazing , however it did not tast that great and was dry , way too expensive as per the taste..
Himanshu Vaswani: Really bad cakes, no balance of flavor
Anthony D: Last year I got to experience their vegan chocolate cake at a birthday, and I was stoked how delicious it was. Fast forward 2 weeks ago, I wanted the same cake for my birthday, and sadly something wasn’t right. It was dry in places, tough like a brick. Almost as though it was stale. Sadly, it was definitely not the cake I experienced at that birthday last year. Normally this bakery has a stellar reputation. Bought a couple cupcakes same day. Perfection! I bought a lemon cake, last year. Awesome! But this one, I wish I saved my $125.
Louisa Jensen: I just wanted to say a huge thank you for my husband's 40th birthday cakeIt was incredible!Amazing serviceThe delivery went seamlesslySuch a positive experienceI'll certainly be recommending Black Velvet Sydney to my friends and family
Monika shiva: Perfect 👌😃 delicious and moist 🤤😋. Cake looks same as they shown in the website.

David Heather: Bought a Gone Fishing cake for an 80th birthday cake. The ordering process was simple, delivery was in the 2 hour window specified on a Sunday morning, the cake was exactly the same as the website photos and the cake tasted as good as it looked. Well definitely use Black Velvet again for future celebration cakes.

Kürtősh - Surry Hills: what do users think?
Jack Smith: Very poor customer service dirty tables with cups and plates not been cleared. The lights and the front of the coffee machine full of dust, meanwhile the workers just talk to each other.overprice for the quality and service.
Cachewnut Grape: Bakery has overpriced for a portion so i only bought coffee. Iced long black was amazing:)디저트와 빵 가격은 양에 비해 너무 높아보여서 커피만 샀는데 진짜 진하고 맛있었어요.
D Morris: Rustic and comfortable
Savva Panagiotou: Friendly staff and great pastries! Also, spacious enough to be comfortable.
Ngọc Anh Nguyễn: Lovely service and coffee
δϮυ ,'J: This place is jus yümee. Clean nice friendly staff lil bit pricey but way worth it...
Gregory Long: The only reason this place did not get 5 stars was the uncomfortable seating. I'm not a big fan of stools and my 92 year old mother really struggled. This said, the coffees and cake were delicious. I found it interesting that they cut the cake to the customer's requirements and charge accordingly
twosis.eatsyd: We tried Kürtősh, known for its traditional Hungarian spiral Chimney Cakes. We opted for the nutella-filled kurtosh topped with pistachios. It was golden, crispy & flakey on the outside yet soft on the inside! They also offer a range of freshly baked pastries & cakes which are sold by the weight. The strawberry & pistachio sponge cake was creamy & light with just the right amount of sweetness.
Trent Ernest Hammond: Customer service was ok but a few things need to improve. These are standard practices in cafes in Australia:1. Accept Amex. This is the only card I have and my bf needed to pay this time.2. Have codimenents. No bbq and tomato sauce?3. Have whipped cream to go with cakes. The cheese cake was screaming out for some whipped cream.4. Keep your tables clean. The ones at the front all had used plates, cups, and cutlery. Not a good look. Now, to the good things:1. Chai tea was wonderful. This was really well done and appears to be a speciality of your store. Gold stars here. Real chai!!! No powdered rubbish.2. The tables were well-spaced. Nice size room. Good ventilation.3. Presentation of food at counter was excellent. Clear labels. Well lit stock. Very well done. Please consider the points above for improvements. They are simple and inexpensive to implementGood luck with your business.
Mikaela Sonter: Most of the desserts are great!! Best place to go with a few friends and share! You can buy each dessert (ranging from about 10-20 type avaliable at anyone time) in 100g pieces so well always get 3 or 4 different ones and try them all!
Ghazi Alnajdi: This location is PERFECTION!!!! Old classic decorations/style with amazing seats inside and outside where you can watch the happy life 😊 They have toilet here so you can enjoy your coffee and sit for hours without worrying!!! - took star off because I hope this my favorite place consider people on low carbs diets just like people with Diabetes 😢 please do favor and allow everyone to enjoy your place we love you 😭
Hannah Bartlett: "Mums chocolate cake" is so good, a must try! Returning customer through and through. It's great also because you can choose as much or as little as you want in all the cakes as they cut to order and charge by weight.
Sarah charles (Thewhereto): Kurtosh is a European bakery that makes all their pastry instore. Known especially for their Kurtosh/Kürtőskalács or “Chimney Cake”, it is a traditional Hungarian pastry that is made with tightly wrapped pastry coils that are doused in sugar, caramelised by baking to produce a crispy flaky exterior and soft interior. You can then have them topped with your choice of topping; cinnamon, chopped nuts like pistachios, chocolate or spices for added texture & flavour. The cinnamon one was my choice and it’s a like a donut in taste and I absolutely loved it. A decent size too, so you grab it to share. We also had a chocolate fudge cookie and mixed berry tart along with some of their popular slab cakes. These, you can order per 100g slices. There’s so many varieties and I opted for my long time favourite, the cinnamon and walnut cake, as well as a tiramisu and their lemon meringue pie. It’s a great way to sample many flavours by purchasing by the slice.Whilst you’re there, grab a coffee or chai, an iced tea or cold drink and relax in the comfortable and welcoming environment. Staff were friendly and eager to help.I’d been a regular at Randwick when I lived there but it’s great to see they’ve grown with more stores, such as Surry Hills, Wollongong, Darling Square, Crows Nest and more.
Alexandre Barros: Below average dessert. Some places add extra cream or ice-cream with the dessert. I'd suggest you do that.
Annette Bell: Who doesn't like cake?Spending the day in Sydney, we had to check out Kurtosh. I had no idea what was installed until I walked in the door.A cake feast for your eyes. Cakes on a large scale. The hardest part was deciding which one to try. A bonus is you can select the piece of cake size!
Andrew L: I first tried Kurtosh in Wollongong and was happy to find one closer to me in Surrey Hills. The chimney cake are fluffy and crispy. We always get it stuffed with Nutella and sprinkled with nuts. They also have a wide range of cakes which are very good, especially the tiramisu. I'm happy to report that the Surrey Hills Kurtosh is the same quality and standards as the first time I tried it in Wollongong.
ellissa huynh: The kurtosh dessert was nothing special. Also the palmier was very soft, not flaky. There was birds going in and out of the restaurant as well.
Valerie Lim: Best Mocha I've got in Surry Hills so far!And you've gotta love having cakes as small slice by weight as u like and try every flavour.Bread rolls are also freshly made on demand.. Known as the best fresh bread roll around.Their cakes are not out of the world... Its slightly above average but I give it 5 stars just because their svc and the experience was fantastic!
edelicious blog: Kurtosh/chimney cakes are baked right before your eyes, customised while you wait and served warm. They are to die for. Alongside the chimney cakes, they also have a selection of pastries and indulgent cakes to choose from. Coffee is excellent. Definitely a-must visit!
All About Food Mate: It’s a great cozy place to catch up with friends and family. Very nice and friendly staffs 💛Their Kurtosh are rolled and baked in a rotating spit upon order. Irresistibly crispy and flaky on the outside and soft on the inside! The Pistachio and Cinnamon flavours are a must try 💯!Amazing range of desserts and pastries. Perfect with their lovely drinks and coffee. We cannot wait to visit again to try other good stuff! 🤩😍

La Renaissance Patisserie and Cafe: what do users think?
Journey Bunny: My favorite French cafe. I like espresso in La Renaissance. Quiches and eclair are always adorable. Why is the bread so good here? Très bien!
Henhen Luo: I first visited this place last week for coffee and it was a GREAT COFFEE ! Then I came back to try their pastries and it was a great idea! Just Love it ! Will visit often 👌🏻
John Eddy: Exceptional patiseree shop in the Rocks. Coffee & Cake, great, plus a good range of pies.
Will R: Lol. One of the reviewers gave this place 3stars because "it didn't have enough seating" like what? Welcome to earth, it's time to grow up. Also there's plenty of seating... it's not a football stadiumSh*t bangs. We stayed at a hotel a few blocks away and went here every morning. Coffee, great. Pastries, incredible (ham & cheese, pistachio, choco+hazelnut all excellent).
Matt Rose: This is by far the best almond and ham & cheese crossiant in Sydney. However, it is not your stock standard ham and cheese crossiant found in every other cafe in Sydney. I recently returned to The Rocks having worked near La Ren for 10 years and it was with great anticipation returning to this cafe. Previously I had travelled Paris looking for a better Almond Crossiant than La Ren and 23 almond crossiants later, I couldn't find a better almond crossiant in Paris. Do yourself a favour and buy these two dishes. If you can fit in the Creme Broulee, and some of their regular cakes, then you have had the best that La Ren has to offer.
Madeleine: Found this place through the 'Amazing Co Experience'. Quite a nice cafe, their pastries are delicious and fresh. The only thing is the shop itself is very cramped when you go inside.
Nicholas Demetriades: 5 stars of service from the girl behind the counter on 31st of May at 11:30 am. So professional. The prices are a bit high though
Nicky Suen: Service is extremely unsatisfying, me and my friends were queuing in the line and we just bend over to had a look for which cake to order and the male stuff just says loudly to indicate the female to serve the next customer. And even to this stage we were quite ok, but then after the next customer, they just did that again! And even the female staff tried to avoid eye contact and screaming to the air”who is the next one please” It’s very intolerable!I’ve ordered cake before online, I will never visit again.
David M: Good coffee. Exquisite pastries.
ultimobile: Quick order to beat the queue - pork fennel sausage roll tasted fresh from the oven and flavoursome - best in a long time. If you don’t know you can sit out in the back courtyard with a historic feel to eat/drink as well worth a linger
Etienne Gourlay: Had a bocconcini pesto baguette and a crème brûlée for lunch today, it was delicious.A very communicative smile from french staff !Will definitely come back
David Chau: Nice food, good coffee. Had a coffee, pear danish and coffee eclair.
J: Great cake but poor service. Pre-ordered a large raspberry mousse cake. Sat in the courtyard for coffees. Waitress refused to take our coffee orders because she wouldn't be able to remember it. Like that's not her actual job? Or couldn't write it down? So we had to order our coffees inside. It started raining, there was no cover for our table outside. Asked for a box to cover the cake from the rain, waitress never came back, had to get a box ourself, and even then she gave me a smaller size box so had to fiddle around with the cake plate. Disappointing service.
Jina Kim: Their cakes are the best :)
Napassawan Phetiam (phetnapat): Very good to be here.
Dmitri Scanlan: The best French bakery in Sydney. The almond croissant is incredibly delicious and the pork bacon fennel is amazing. They have an amazing selection of foods for all. The courtyard seating is perfect for a date spot or an amazing spot to have a quiet meal with friends.
Margaret Dyer: Just bought a chicken and salad baguette from here. I used to love them, they used to be crisp bread, plenty of fresh chicken and very fresh salad leaves. Today the bread was tough, the salad leaves slimey and the chicken was hard to find. It was filled out with a mass of grated carrot. Ok if you wanted a carrot baguette. For $12.50 I'd expect better. Very disappointing from a place that has beautiful cakes and pastries and has always been reliably delicious. If I hadn't been running to the ferry I'd have taken it back.
Seddigheh Nourian: I loved the coffee and the pastries 🥐 the only thing was missing was the French music. I was expecting to enjoy the French music. 😊
Benjamin Lumb: This patisserie is located at The Rocks the only problem with this cafe is that the tables and chairs are on a slope. The staff and the service there are friendly, and I would recommend their French pastries and cakes.
Maria Mineeva: I like this cafe
Jeanne K.: Always find my time for a bakery here. ❤️

Christopher's Cake Shop Surry Hills: what do users think?
hrithvik hrithvik: Be careful while ordering birthday or special occasion cakes, they’re completely different what they display in small portions .
Wendy C: Very delicious !
Jeremy Shannon Allen: My fiancée was looking for a very specific item ahead of our wedding and staff at Christopher’s went above and beyond to help. Very much appreciated, especially at such a stressful time.
Kayne Owen: There's reasons as to why Christophers' has been open since 1955. I have not come across any item from there that is not delicious.I could try to recommend my personal highlights but the list would just be toooo long. Everything is just amazing. But not only do they have the best treats but the customer service is also impeccable. Ultra friendly and always willing to help with a smile, good old fashioned service. There's absolutely nothing negative I could say, maybe they make it very difficult to lose weight 🤔
Brendan Picchio: Christopher’s cakes are delicious, reasonably priced and have loads of available cakes at all times. Tried every other fancy cake shop in east Sydney and I always come back to this place. Cakes aren’t sickly sweet and are always fresh. They also have friendly staff. I don’t write reviews but these guys deserve my time and your business.
Virtual Print Media: One of the best place in Australia for Awesome cakes.
Nicole: not bad
Vegas: The best Greek cake shop anywhere in the world I think? Except maybe the Greek cake shop in St. Kilda.
Dennis Venter: Amazing service, friendly, helpful people working here. Their barista makes amazing coffee and their cakes are so delicious. I won't eat any other cake for my birthday.
Ala Zimmer: Excellent quality!Great service ❤️Amazing coffee and freshest food 😍
Wendy An: Tiramisu cake was delicious!
Dhiraj Kumar Masodgi: I tried Red velvet and tiramisu and both were very tasty and amazing. Both were very fresh. I felt red velvet was too sweet and if the sweetness can be bring down than it will definitely make go for more.lot of cookies are also available.
Graham Stewart: Lovely crew and spot on coffee 👌
Eileen: Great Macarons, my partner bought a box yesterday and still fresh today!!! Good quality & freshness!
Edward Cong: Great cakes
Maralto: Simply the best for anything Greek and sweet.Thank you for saving me every Greek Easter weekend!
Ian Rowe: The best chocolate eclairs always eaten as soon as I leave the store.
lorna lau: Ok place
Rob Booker: I love this place. They have a huge range of Greek pastries and snacks. Excellent coffee and helpful staff.
Sheri Royston: Just amazing cakes etc etc.
Lavinia Cronin: Great bakery and very reasonable price the hardest part is what to choose I highly recommend everything but mainly the apple strudel.

Casa Del: what do users think?
Con Kostakidis: Recent purchase on line for my daughter's birthday. 10/10. Thank you guys.. excellent.
Anne Ristevski: I seriously cannot believe what they gave us, we have been loyal customers for so long but not anymore. Look at what we ordered and look at what we got😞They charged us an absolute fortune even after our VIP discount and they insisted that we pay cash ($850), they had the cake packed up when we went to pick it up so we could only see it through a peephole. But once we got it home the panic set in, the cake was leaning and looked like it was about to collapse, the icing on the bottom layer was cracking and had a bulge on one side (see photos) we picked up the cake on Saturday at noon (just before they closed) because they asked us to come as late on Saturday as possible (the cake was for a Sunday event) we couldn’t have it delivered because the venue didn’t have space to store a cake overnight and Casa del doesn’t deliver on Sundays. We were assured that the cake would be stable for transport, we were told that there would be a wooden dowel down the centre of the cake and that we would have nothing to worry about. The reality was that there was no wooden dowel ( or any support on the bottom layer at all) which explains why it was tilting and the icing bulging, the subsequent layers had straws pushed into the cake which did little to help. When we had a look at the cake we had to rush out to cake decorating solutions who stayed open for us (thank you) to get some gold paint and gold leaf to try and fix this cake. The night before an important function, we spent our night trying to decorate a cake that we were told was worth over $1200 we had fix something that we paid professionals to do. How embarrassing for @casadeldessertsofindulgenceI called casa del to let them know how disappointed I was, and did not expect them to blame me for their unprofessional work*I must have transported it incorrectly* I should have asked them to take it out of the boxes/packaging* this cake looks better than the photo I gave themAnd the list goes onI have given them the chance to apologise and to make this up to us I told them I was willing to give them a very generous $500 for this mess of a cake but that they should refund the rest, but they refused. This cake is obviously to their standard, they think people would be willing to pay $1200I think that they are delusionalObviously they can’t make cakes that are outside of their usual run of the mill that they make day in and day out they should have told us this when we ordered itIf they had we could have gone elsewhere, but they said they could and even told me on the day(by José the boss) that “this cake is better than the photo”Sad that our 20 year relationship with this business has had to come to an end but it was their choicePlease don’t trust this company on your important dayThey can ruin your event and you won’t even give you an apology
Ariel Zhou: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueAbsolutely delicious cake from Casa Del, we ordered a beautiful 2 tier lemon & coconut flavour cake for our wedding, we loved it, and so did our guests! They gave us a cake sample tasting and helped us stay within our budget, we highly recommend it!
Jennifer Bazzi: The Casa Del team made a Roblox cake for my sons 6th birthday, it was absolutely amazing and they matched it perfectly to my inspiration. All the parents were complimenting how delicious the cake was, not a crumb was left after everyone wanted seconds! Thank you!
S F: Thank you so much for the great service helping me out with this very last minute birthday cake today! Beautiful and delicious!
Navya Naramsetty: Hello,We have ordered the Movember cupcakes for our event Movember through a 3rd party delivery service. Amazing service and yummy cupcakes! Thank you again! :)
Lily S: I had a wedding cake made by Casa Del last year as they came recommended by the venue.Pros: delicious moist cake at a very reasonable price. Friendly service and tasting samples were available.Cons: we wanted a tall two tiered cake with a circle of gold leaf on the top. I provided a reference photo which was included in the quote. The cake we got on the day was a short two tiered cake with minimal gold leaf. Visually it was extremely disappointing and we had to have the florist do some last minute floral decorations to make it look more presentable.
lisi m: Lina & the Casa Del team were amazing every step of the way. They came recommended from our wedding venue and we were so glad we chose them as not only was their service great, their cakes were very moist and delicious!I gave Lina an inspiration photo and they did so well to replicate it to the sizing I wanted. I don't have the best photos of the cake right now, so these do not do it any justice. But it was so pretty and so so tasty! My husband & I are definitely going to be return customers and we can not thank Lina & the team enough for all their hard work making such a special day for us so perfect.
Janet JMSrb: Excellent flawless & bubbly customer service. We buy at least 6 times from here for everyone's Birthday and including special functions as the need arises, and each time the shop experience has been a memorable and pleasant one. The Chocolate & Hazelnut Gelato Cake we ordered for 14/8 was a big hit, the kids loved it. Your cakes are simply the best, and each and everyone unique and delicious. Look forward to seeing you again in October. Thank you.
Jodie Saunders: The team at Casa Del in Marrickville are always so friendly and helpful. The products are first class and when ever they are shared with colleagues and friends they are always a hit. Everyone always asks "where did you get this cake from?!" With a huge selection of cakes and deserts made fresh on site, look no further for your sweet treats. A special thanks to Leena for the exceptional customer service she continues to provide.
Mark Mills: Excellent quality products friendly service and you can buy directly
Marianna Laura Aghabekyan: Positive:Quality,ValueThe best cake shop so far. Have ordered several cakes from them and they all tasted great and looked amazing. Highly recommend. Very friendly staff.
Mark Leary: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueI have the highest praise for Casa Del. They were fantastic from the initial phone call to the delivery of the cake to our function. Lina was a delight todeal with. Thank you.
Riley Fall: The most delicious wedding cake ever!! Lina and the team were excellent to deal with and even liaised directly with the venue about cake drop off on the day etc, so I had nothing to think about once I placed my order. We even got a very generous (& complimentary) wedding cake tasting before going ahead with the order too! So happy with everything and we look forward to ordering with Casa Del again in the future.
Adam Holley: We ordered a two tiered wedding cake pre COVID for an October wedding through Corey and casa del. from the outset nothing was too much trouble, nor was there a wrinkle in how smoothly everything went. From the initial drop in when we had a few ideas of what we wanted, to the tasting samples, to the help with finalising what we wanted, the on time delivery and finally the amazing cake that all our guests raved about after tasting it. Just a perfect experience with a very professional team. I can’t recommend them highly enough
Lauren Tucker: Thankyou Casa Del cakes for working with us during a difficult time of wedding planning during COVID. Our cake was beautiful and very tasty. We loved meeting with Corey and all the samples we tried were great!Good communication and able to bring to life my ideas!
Completing Sydney: I used these guys previously for a caramel mudcake birthday cake and was happy with the results, as well as the friendly, down to earth service. As such, we used them for our wedding this year and everything was perfect. Some suppliers are a very "precious" when you're shopping for wedding cakes, so the down to earth service of the crew here was a breath of fresh air. Would happily recommend.
Sareeta Z: We had two wedding cakes done from Casa Del earlier this year. Corey and the team were excellent and took on board all our ideas and delivered them into two beautiful looking cakes. We had a lemon flavour cake and a red velvet. Both were delicious. The cakes were delivered without any issues and the service we received was excellent. The prices were reasonable, we will definitely come back to Casa Del for any future cake orders.
Nicole Carnes: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueBeautiful cakes and great service. Very professional and the most beautiful wedding cake made for my brothers wedding. Top service 👍
Michael Herbut: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueOrdered our wedding cake from Casa Del. With short notice Corey was very helpful with the whole process and we could not be happier with the cake itself. Looked fantastic and tasted even better! Would definitely order again...highly recommended! 5/5
sheena kakar: Have ordered cake from here twice. Did not disappoint. Also had the pistachio cookies which are beautiful!

Jennilee Y: The pasries, baguette, tarts are all so so delicious. Not overly sweet, yet sweet enough (except for the croissants which is deliciously buttery but not over buttery) and the baguette is so crunchy and soft inside. So delicious and service is great. The best.
Sara Hassan: The best French bakery in Sydney! Ordered couples of times the 'breakfast for two' on a Sunday! Very good service and they are always delivering on time! Receiving at home fresh French pastry during this lockdown was the best moment of the day! Thank you!
Dilly Rusca: Excellent products and customer service! Bravo!
