Inspired4me2You: VIVID FESTIVALMusic, lights, food and magicSensational unbelievable sensory experienceGood for families, solo’s and couples. Pre booked tickets essential get them online. $30 off peak we went on a Tuesday.Enter just past the Opera House.Plenty of food options.Allow about 1.5 hours to do the circuit, you will come out a different entrance walk down the hill to the quay and see the bridge and opera house lit up.A must vivid experience.Love your local guide-M❤️
Mo mo ko Momoko: 你來就知道 什麼叫做高雅 清幽 秀麗和廣闊 很多人在這裡跑步 以前可以來餵鳥 現在有規定 不准喂了 可能是那些鳥都太肥了
Chloe: LIGHTSCAPE: Vivid Sydney.I highly recommend this having been to several light trails before. This one is great! Many people walk quickly, but to actually enjoy it, you should stop at each feature and watch/listen to the whole sequence. Took us (a couple) 1 hour 20 minutes. But there is food and drink along the way so this would add extra time. The lights have been created to fit within the garden landscape, and the music accompanying them really adds to the experience. Go on a weekday late evening for a more relaxed, quiet experience.
fateme ejaredar: A very nice place with the nicest people! The garden is very beautifully designed, with old trees, amazing pathways, etc.And the staff are lovely. We had lost our bag and they all helped us to find it, all the time being very kind and supportive.
Andre de Wet: Clean and well maintained with beautiful plants and walkways and iconic view across the harbour or the city skyskrapers. Take water and plan at least 90 minutes walk to enjoy it all.
Christoph B: Dieser Botanische Garten ist einer der besten die es gibt. Ganz klar 5 Sterne.
Bernd Schulze: Eine sehr gut gepflegte Oase der Ruhe mitten in Sydney. Uns hat es gut gefallen.
Robert E: Great gardens to walk through. Well kept grounds, good variety of plants, and interesting features.
Jin Seng: Brilliant!
Lee Harrison: Fun, worth the moneyVisited on Weekday Wait time 1 hr+ Reservation recommended Yes …More
Toby: Not a fan of the ridiculous prices for vivid.
D S: Beautiful tranquil, nice coffee shop ,interesting gift shop. I come here when I need to reset my mind.Wait time No wait …More
James Murphy: Beautiful every day Of The yearVisited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No …More
Lee Yang: Good evening. I am most certain that this area is public land to be enjoyed by tax payers. It is unfortunate to see that you would find a way to price gouge members of the public to see a grand display of colourful lights which accurately involves a significant waste of electricity. The Lightscape event involved a walk which was nowhere near the 90 to 120 minute range. The ticketed event only took me and my colleague around 40 minutes to complete. We did take our time as we took around 300 photographs. Paying over $1 a minute for an event which should have been free in the first place is somewhat unconscionable. It does not inspire confidence that you and other affiliated groups can organise fair and reasonable priced (or hopefully free) events in the future.

The Sydney Fernery: what do users think?
Jenny Clate: The fernery is a peaceful place to sit and watch the world pass by.It has many different types of mature ferns. There is a nicely laid out walk around the forgery. It does not take long to explore. Its dedign means water drips from the ceiling, so do not panic if you feel something splatter on your head

Fernando Javier Figueroa Gonzalez: The Sydney Fernery inside the Royal Botanic Garden is a beautiful place. Very peaceful and the pay to go for any fern's lover.
Sangchan Yoo: 고사리과의 양치식물들을 볼 수 있는 식물원생물에 관심이 많은 사람들 또는 호기심이 많은 사람이라면 좋아할만한 곳
Antoine M: A Victorian era obsession with ferns that inspired this popular place to explore inside The Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney. It's a stunning structure completed in 1993 with slatted steel roof and sandstone walls. According to information available here, there's more than three hundred species of ferns and tropical perennials, including begonias and orchids in this fernery. Great place for all ages and especially young children to explore. Interesting extra information about the recycled sandstone walls; were originally carved in 1826 for the Governor's harbour-side bathing house. If you look closely at the sandstone walls they still show "bankers marks" as symbols used to identify the convict stonemason responsible for its hewing. Bankers marks were also used to calculate the convict's wages. So this not just a gorgeous fernery but a stunning historical significance.
The Fernery, adjacent to The palm garden, was built in 1993 as The governor's home garden, with tropical, subtropical and temperate ferns native to Australia and around The world arranged artistically and for educational purposes. The recently modified fine shading system of steel structure provides good conditions for growth.Explore where ferns grow, how they differ from other plants, and how old some ferns are.
Hanchi Xie: so many fern species here, full of excitement! It’s quiet and beautiful, you can just sit down and relax yourself under the beautiful tall ferns.
Er. Bhupinder Singh Brar: Relaxing place,Ferns and their close allies, the mosses were amongst the earliest vascular plants to colonise the earth more than 350 million years ago.The word fern comes from the old Anglo-Saxon word ‘fearn’ meaning feather, which refers to the delicate compound leaves known as fronds that are found on some ferns. If you take a closer look at the underside of many fern’s fronds you might find brown sunken or raised spots. Don’t worry! These are not signs of some terrible pest or disease, but a unique characteristic of ferns called sori, their patterns are one of the key ways to identify fern species.
Carl O'Donoghue: A nice quiet corner can be found here and of course the ferns are fantastic too.
sudeep gajam: Part of Royal botanical gardens. Beautiful and relaxing
Niniane Wang: Peaceful and pleasant.
Justine OBRIEN: Surreal, supreme relaxing place to visit. Listening to the soft running water, watching the light dance across the ferns and enjoying a peaceful time in the Sydney fernery is something I would recommend to all.
Vince Ramos: Magnificent.

Tourist buses can make it a bit hectic at times now that tourism is back on. Please read the history of the place, and namesake for added poignancy (Brontë and Austen fans especially) and appreciation. (Clue: There is a chair to which a road was built).

Mitchell Luton: Loved it!
Lawrence Liang: Relax and nice place to spend on Sunday afternoon

Erina: A magical, wondrous place. A beautiful place where you can wonder around, sit and ponder, have a picnic even or just to relax and soak up the surroundings and unwind.
Ram Muhtam: Beautiful gardrn but small
Doug Daniell: One of the special places to visit on the North Side of the Harbour

Anthony Yazbek: Witnessed the very rare event of two leopard slugs mating
Tracey Hayim: Beautiful park with magnificent view. Highly recommend if you a fist time visitor to Sydney or never visited the slower North Shore and seen the magnificent view of the city.

Eclectic plantings and a labrynth of pathways, this garden is really interesting. Don't expect the Botanic gardens, this is like someone invited you into their epic country gardens.
