FPV: We came to Long Chim on a Thursday evening, the place was pretty busy. We weren’t sure whether to get the set menu or a la carte, finally decided on à la carte which was the right decision as we were struggling with the 4 dishes we ordered. Had the chicken skewers, the betel leaf with prawns, pork belly curry and the pad see ew with chicken. Food was probably 3 stars but the ambience was nice and good service.

Executive Chef Marvin and his team are awesome! The food was in great quality and well presented. We love to take beautiful photos for it. It was so impressive and creative. Bar man Terry is also very friendly and helpful. He recommended us the best cocktail. The staff were committed to a great service. Most importantly, every food and drink we ordered tasted great. Luke H (Shadowfax): Visited on a reasonably quiet night (no events on at Sydney Olympic Park and restaurant appeared approx 60% full) it was our anniversary dinner, the restaurant is adjacent to the hotel lobby but is very nicely decorated. Though a tiny bit more of a 'buffer zone' between the hotel lobby and the restaurant would have made it nicer and not felt like we were sitting in the lobby, some screens or plants would do the trick I thought.We were seated quickly however, unfortunately, we were seated right next to a giant TV screen showing 'Home & Away' and whatever is on right after 'Home & Away' which kind of completely ruined the vibe.Sadly things did not get much better from there. After being seated we were ignored by the staff for about half an hour (there were several staff behind the bar and only one girl seemed to be going out to tables). After signalling madly for several minutes we eventually had to call out to the girl when she delivered drinks to a nearby table to take our order.We then waited approximately 20-30 mins for our drinks to arrive. The cocktails were good but I'm not sure they justified the price-tag.My wife ordered the salmon with broccolini which she said was good and finished everything on her plate. I ordered the 'smoked duck breast plate' which would have been lovely if the duck wasn't served stone-cold. (I don't know if it was intentionally served this way by the chef or not but it was "straight out of the fridge cold" which, for me, ruined the dish.) Had it been served warmed (or preferably served freshly roasted) it would have been lovely the pear and fennel salad was very nice, the duck was inedible.The sides we ordered, (truffle fries and fried zucchini) were great and, for me, the best part of the meal.The hotel is lovely, really 5-star, sadly let-down by the restaurant on our visit.
