Farbod Nersy: Went there for lunch, the experience took about an hour and a half for 2 drinks and entree and 2 mains! The place was not busy. Shocked by the service and wait times. Food is okay.
katie kelly: Amazing location right on the harbour with water views. Been here 3 times. First time we got a huge seafood platter which was delightful. They had options of a hot or cold platter (my partner will not eat cold seafood), so it was good they had the option. Second time we went a bit orthodox and got pasta dishes.Went on a Friday night more recently and we both got sourdough with olive oil & balsamic to start - the bread wasn’t warm but was still tasty - much as you would expect. We both got the fish & chips for the main, which was tasty but the batter was soggy. We were still happy with the meal though because the fish was super fresh and flaky, just wish the batter had been crispy. It looks like they’ve reduced the menu items since we went last as there was no hot platter option on the menu.Overall I would recommend due to the setting and we’ve had good service, but I would say if you’re going, you should go for the platter options as they definitely hold the wow factor.
Prabal Chatterjee: Came in to dine here last week with a few colleagues from overseas. Having been here in past and having enjoyed the food I recommended this place to my colleagues. I have to say though that the experience this time around was a let down. Every sea food dish we ordered was either bland or didn’t taste like it had fresh ingredients. The best dish in a sea food restaurant amongst what we ordered turned out to be the grilled halloumi and that should say a lot. I don’t write negative reviews but I feel compelled this time because I want this place to do better and live up to the expectations when I come visiting next time.
Johnny Bowie: Atrocious service. Pretty quiet yet no-one came to take our order. After 20 minutes I went to the bar to ask if there was table service explaining how long we'd been waiting. The staff could not have been less interested - no apology, just rolled her eyes.When our order did eventually arrive, 2 drinks, she couldn't even get that right. Not rocket science mate. How can a business in an awesome but competitive location survive with such an appalling disinterest in basic customer service?

John Stuart: Great location but disappointing dishes. The lobster is dry and bland, it serves with chips without sauce, so we had to put salt on it. Mussels are salty and fishy. Also, I wasn’t feeling well so ordered a cup of tea and asked for a refill. They ended up charging me $1.50 for a small cup of hot water without even advising me … also the service is very average. Won’t come back for sure.

Emma Cheney: Very disappointing. Service was almost non existent and the food was dismal. We went traditional and ordered fish n chips and calamari and chips. Fish was over cooked and rubbery and the calamari was 4 pieces of heavily buttered grit. We basically paid $60 for two serves of chips. For a main meal, there was not even a decorative piece of lettuce on the plate. Serves us right for eating in an over priced tourist area.

Grahaml 0: Never going back due to dishonest duty manager on 2nd October 2022 lunchtime, we returned to Bluefish after 6 months ago enjoying a beautiful Jimbaran seafood platter here and decided to have it again for a lunch.Very disappointed when it came out as s) it had shrunk significantly and b) the seafood skewers advertised on the menu were not present.After enquiring about the lack of what was advertised on the menu in the $135 price the manager said that the skewers were no longer a part of the menu and that they were waiting the printer updating the menu- they have not been replaced merely removed and they were the highlight of our original meal. I asked if this was the case why was the menu still being presented to customers and if so surely wait staff could inform customers that they were not going to receive everything that they were paying for. He then reiterated that it was in the hands of the printers and didn't seem to think informing customers was necessary. After discussions he offered a 10% discount of $16.50 on a $165 meal even though 20% of the meal ordered was not provided and he seemed to think I was the unreasonable one. Will never go near this place again and feel there must be something illegal about advertising and charging for something that you have no intention of providing. Doesn't even deserve one star.

Steve Pronin: Its only the second time I have been to rockpool and this was for our engagement and my now fiancé has never been until now. I had always spoken very highly of the restaurant, and she had always ask me to take her there, so of course I was excited to take her there! We were completely blown away with just have amazing Rockpool and the whole team are, and I am only full of praise for the whole team at Rockpool. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything was flawless. The welcome team, our waiters and sommelier were outstanding, with perfectly timed service, answers to questions, and recommendations. Everyone in the kitchen from the executive chef right down the line has this menu nailed, you could not have got it more perfect if you tired any harder, I truly believe you could choose anything on this menu and love it totally even if you think you normally would not like one or two ingredients. Combinations so perfectly balanced, and considered that every mouthful leaves you wanting more. Again to everyone at Rockpool I thank you for making an amazing night even better, you are amazing we cannot wait to come back and bring our families to enjoy everything you have to offer.

Endless bread and butter was not endless, but rather only offered twice...after we asked. A couple seated 1/2 way through our meal were given B&B straight away...maybe because we had to keep asking.Entrees were delicious, but we ate them sheepishly as we ordered one serving but came out as two, which was not communicated to us...might have enjoyed it more if we had known...Main meat (priced over $100 for 300g) was chewy and not cooked properly. Best empanadas I've had in Sydney.Burgers one of a kind. I'm not an expert, can't say they are the best in town, but I am definitely having my next one here.About $50 pp including tasty beer and old fashion cocktail. Beer was a hazy IPA from Pirate Life. A friend suggested to get their mashed potatoes and it was textbook. Reminded me of my childhood. Her knowledge and understanding of wine was outstanding and this really helped turn a great night into an absolutely incredible evening. You are invited to come in Italy, I will show you how to cook the tuna, don't need salt ;) strongly suggest to avoid, bad service, bad person and overrated for cost-quality.

Oliver Lynch: First and foremost the potato bread is not a good dish, A, the bread is a tiny portion (just the size of an ordinary coles roll…) and B, the trout roe, dashi & kefir cream that is served alongside the roll is not a great combination with the bread and they’re charging $25 for that dish solely because of that… The best wood fired bread I’ve ever had was at Nomad and it was only $15 as it should be… Now onto the positive aspects of Ester; Ricotta Gnudi was great however I felt as though it could’ve been a tad more flavoursome (the tomatoes pack all the punch). The Morton Bay bug was perfect, great presentation. The squid ink dumplings were unique however weren’t an amazing dish. Lastly, the crepe brûlée was amazing however there could’ve been a bit less of the lemon sauce as it was rather strong.

We weren’t sure whether to get the set menu or a la carte, finally decided on à la carte which was the right decision as we were struggling with the 4 dishes we ordered. Natalie Caldwell: Fast Thai food for a quick dinner. In and out in less than an hour but we didn’t feel rushed, the food just came out fast! We just had two mains which was the perfect amount of food for two people to share. We had the pad see ew and red curry with chicken. The noodles seemed to have more egg than noodles and only a few pieces of the Chinese broccoli stalks. The curry was a fantastic flavor and spice, but there wasn’t a ton to it (basil, chicken, spicy peppers, young eggplant). Overall, solid flavors and good food.

Every dish was well seasoned, elevated from the usual Thai food we’re accustomed with. Atmosphere was spot on, with rustic yet elegant interior. Thai cooking is based on the art of umami and delicately balancing flavours, gotta say the balance was way off for most dishes. Chinese broccoli and oyster sauce is not even thai - better off morning glory chilli and fermented soya bean. Green curry excessively salty and spicy, eggplant dish strong anaiseed /fennel flavour and not much else, cold chicken, salad options instead of hot dishes because they are pre-prepared. Best dishes were the entrees cashews, whitebait and betel leaf. Really underwhelming for the price.

However I was a bit disappointed this time when we were greeted at the front desk to get quickly shuffled to a small table by a pillar centre floor(we had pre booked months ago!! ) When I tried to express the importance and excitement of our birthday dinner for my son I was responded to “ oh ! I hope you expect nothing special tonight.. full house!! “I think the disappointment showed on my face as we were then moved to a more comfortable table.I know there is alot of pressure in all industries at the moment but that was to me verbally rude. Just a welcome and happy birthday would of done it! Did not at all expect anything else. However, as usual the wait staff made up for it and food amazing .See you again soon as it’s one of my sons favourite restaurant .J J

Alexandra Middleton: We visited Mr Wongs today after having a great experience at Totti's. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. But outside of the dim sum, the food was basically tasteless. There was also barely any actual chicken you could eat in the crispy chicken dish, the vegetarian fried rice was basically rice that was fried, the garlic prawns were rubbery and the salt and pepper tofu was essentially plain tofu fried (I know tofu doesn't have a lot of flavour, but this no flavour was next level). I always check reviews before booking and know Mr Wongs has plenty of good ones on here so maybe we caught them on an off day?! Who knows. Absolutely not worth the expensive bill at the end of it all.

Mohammed Shahmat Ali: Everything tasted fantastic! We enjoyed the King crab fried rice, the roast duck and the lamb cutlets a lot. The sweet corn with salted egg yolk was a really interesting and memorable dish. The portions were massive so we ended up over ordering. I feel the restaurant should inform the customers more about these things, especially when it's obvious we were ordering too much. Carrie Singles: My husband and I had dinner here last night. I ordered the bbq short rib as my husband had ordered it on our last visit here and thoroughly enjoyed it. When it came out I couldn’t cut into it. Some parts were ok but HALF was full of fat and grizzle. I’d left just over half and explained to our waitress why I couldn’t eat it. She also said “oh yeah I can see all grizzle and fat” she showed the chefs and their reply was that they would speak to their suppliers and they to could see that it was a bad cut of meat. I explained this on paying that I couldn’t eat it and I’d only eaten just under half. Her reply was I can’t do anything about it as you had almost half of it. She replied you should have sent it back when you got it. Ummmm how am I suppose to know how grizzly and fatty it is unless I eat some of it. She was very unhelpful and basically didn’t give a care in the world. I didn’t want a refund but maybe some kind of discount as over half was sent back. This experience and the way I was treated wasn’t acceptable . I was offered nothing and treated poorly.

It had been a while since we had dined at the Ternary and they have continued to raise the bar.The king fish sashimi entree was so delicate and well balanced dish. I also had the main course dish of gold band snapper which was perfectly cooked with a crunchy crispy skin.Throughout the night we looked after by Sharya who attended to all our needs with a smile and a positive attitude. She new her stuff as she answered every question we asked regarding the menu and much more. Great to see a young person with such high service standards and enthusiastic passion for her job.Can't recommend it highly enough regardless if you are staying in our not.Will back again for another enjoyable meal soon.

The wine bottle is not placed on the table, so if I run out of wine in my glass, I had to wait until a waiter comes to pour. If the service does not allow pouring wine into empty glasses, it should be abolished.

I am not usually one for "fancy" food, but I tried to keep an open mind here and I'm so glad I did. I tried all the options and each element was delicious. I had not even heard of eating pearl meat, but it was wonderful. If you are unsure of a new food item, this is an ideal place to try them.

But she did acknowledge though as she saw that the wagyu was barely halved. So we were confused if it was a language barrier or she just didn’t know what to do. Very awkward, but we just didn’t want to cause a scene.Overall, we wanted to love it as it was for our anniversary, but i don’t think it’s worth it unfortunately.
Sandra Gounden: I organised a high tea to celebrate my friend’s milestone birthday on the 26/3/23. To begin with they didn’t have the teas that we requested. We were given just one sandwich each, which was stale. This was suppose to be an ‘Easter high tea’ but had absolutely nothing relating to Easter. When I enquirer about this, I was presented with brownies, which were rock hard and couldn’t be cut. I did call the next day and was told that someone in management would give me a call, still waiting!!!!Overall a very disappointing experience. At $75 per person, you’d be better off spending your had earned money at the Sheraton for their high tea or even Lilianfels which are much cheaper and better quality in my experience.

The seafood was fresh, the sides are delicious and the flavours were unique and delightful. We are both seafood lovers and this was one of the best seafood experiences we have ever had.
