Tetsuya's Restaurant: what do users think?
Barefoot Centipede: The culinary experience in SydneyIn a very elegant setting (House 🏠 and garden) in the city centreFood on offer is superb and original as Japanese with a strong influence from FranceDo not hesitate to try the excellent choice of sake on offerService is impeccable and friendly
Elijah Chetwynd: Best dining ever
melzy phan: Super delicious. Highly recommend adding the oyster add on.Every single dish is 10/10. The salmon was to die for.Worth the money!
P Tham: Have been wanting to go to Tetsuya for a while and finally went there for my birthday celebration. As my wife is pregnant, we didn't go for the oyster addition in the menu but we saw many tables had it. My wife also had the sashimi changed for something else as she wanted to avoid raw food, and the replacement dish was exquisite. It's hard to pick which of the dishes we like best, they were all great. The service was also friendly and attentive.Only small downside is that the bathroom looks a bit aged but it's very clean.Overall, it's a fantastic dining experience and truly lived up to its reputation as one of the great restaurants in Sydney.
Patricia Garcia: Great food, great ambience, great service!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Wine Pairing …More
James Cerven: You can see why it’s an institution. Ambiance, personality all complement the food. As close to a ryokan meal as you can get here in Sydney I think.
優美川瀬: 和久田哲也、料理マスターズシルバー
Anastassia Gerakas: A Swan song to a Sydney dining scene institution. Food was as good as you could imagine. After years of wanting to get here, this place definitely lived up to its reputation. I can't remember when I had a more faultless degustation dinner! From the very first course, everything was perfectly seasoned, perfectly paired and prepared. The signature dish of trout and the abalone were our favourites, but the dessert course of white chocolate with yuzu will be the one dancing on my tastebuds for a very long time with its perfect Sour sweet combination of flavours. When Tetsuya moves to its new home we will come to celebrate the new chapter, wherever and whenever that may be. But for now thank you for the memories.
Vanessa E: Beautiful food and friendly staff. The location is a hidden oasis in the middle of sprawling Sydney.
Jonathan Dalglish: Exquisite.
Tim Foote: They’ve still got it, after faithfully delivering exceptional cuisine & service for decades
felix Lev: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Jon Magro: Been wanting to dine at Tetsuya's for many years after hearing all the hype about the venue. We have dined in many restaurants some exclusive some just local to the area, so really wanted to experience Tetsuya's.My partner booked us a table for my birthday dinner.Honestly i left Tetsuya's highly disappointed and actually felt ripped off.I understand its a high end degustation restaurant but don't understand the hype. The staff were robotic and shared no emotions.Whilst the food was tasty and well presented it wasnt worth anywhere near $300pp.I ordered a Asahi beer which was served from a bottle and was charged $14.My partner was recommended a glass of wine to pair with the Lamb, the glass of wine was charged at $45.Overall it felt like i was just lining some rich guys pocket....not an experience i will cherish.
Adrian Lim: Great food, ambience and service for the evening.
Rachel OGrady: Loved this place! The staff are amazing. I also loved the restaurants timeless interior that overlooked the Japanese style garden - so classy. Some dishes that were a highlight for me were the oysters, the tuna, and the abalone. That truffle butter served with the bread is awesome as well! Surprisingly, I wasn't a big fan of the famous ocean trout dish, presentation was gorgeous though.
Feroz S: Perfect service & a lot of detail given to our halal dietary requirements. Amazing Japanese food- on par to what I’ve had in some of the best places in Japan.
Pimalyn: Great experience! We had course menu with wine pairings. Food was okay. Service was amazing
Jess Milton: The quality of the food was incredible, the flavour balances of every dish worked so so well. I wouldn’t say it is a Japanese menu, there’s definitely Japanese inspiration. The scallops and wagyu were phenomenalRecommended dishes Wagyu, Patagonian Toothfish, Wine Pairing …More
Randy Chua: phenomenal.
El Aitch: Managed to get a booking at Tetsuya before they moved locations. Really enjoyed the beautiful garden view. The food was very well presented and a delightful experience for the taste buds. The sitting was a little longer than we'd hoped (3.5hrs) with a bit too much time between each course. The service was friendly but it did feel a little not genuine. But overall, it was a decent experience and I'm glad we got to try it.
Myst: 4.5 starsTetsuya is a notable resturant that everyone knows for fine fusion Japanese cuisine. It takes almost half a year to get into this establismenent. Given such high astute reputuation, the review is held at higher level accordingly.Decor: Mesmerising. Soaked in with nature.Food: The signature dish is exquisite. My only disappointment was with the squid pasta with rice. Not a 5 star star, sub par, only thing that kept it somewhat alive were those fingerlimes. If it were replaced with the tooth fish or the tuna dish - I'd said 5/5 mind blowing dishes.Parking: plenty on site, which is rare for city resturantsService: you are served by multiple people - as far as the previous reviews go in regards to this - it's mixed indeed. Some were wonderful, kind, professional and then there was 1 person who was curt and perhaps slightly condescending.Price: subjective

Jimmy Liang: Came with a group of friends for a dinner a few months ago. Service was attentive and flawless. We were floored by the quality of the dishes served. Expect an a la carte experience at a reasonable price point. Their menus do change seasonally, however if you do see the wagyu tartare with caviar on the appetiser menu again do yourself a favour by ordering it. A friend suggested to get their mashed potatoes and it was textbook. Reminded me of my childhood. Simply one of the best experiences I have had at a dining establishment, and I will be coming back in the near future.

Marianne: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aria Restaurant and I must say it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. From the elegant ambiance to the impeccable service and, of course, the phenomenal food, Aria exceeded all my expectations. The moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The sleek and modern decor, combined with soft lighting, created a sophisticated yet cozy setting that set the stage for a memorable evening. The staff at Aria deserves special mention. Their attentiveness and professionalism were outstanding. From the moment we were seated, we were promptly attended to by a knowledgeable and friendly server who guided us through the menu and offered excellent recommendations. The entire team worked seamlessly together, ensuring that we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Now, let's talk about the food. Aria's menu showcases a diverse range of culinary delights, with a strong emphasis on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Each dish we ordered was a masterpiece in its own right, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The chef's attention to detail was evident in every bite.In addition to the outstanding food and service, Aria also boasts an impressive wine list and a knowledgeable sommelier who can guide you through the extensive selection. The attention to detail in all aspects of the dining experience truly sets Aria apart. While Aria may be on the higher end of the price spectrum, it is undoubtedly worth every penny for the quality and experience you receive. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to treat yourself to an unforgettable meal, Aria Restaurant is an absolute must-visit.Overall, my experience at Aria Restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of exceptional service, exquisite cuisine, and an inviting atmosphere makes Aria a standout dining destination. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and I eagerly look forward to my next visit.

Sunny Kwon: To commemorate our 16th wedding anniversary, we decided to visit the place. The food was average, and the service was subpar. We had to wait excessively long for our food, and even though our drinks were empty, they were not refilled. The staff members were not particularly friendly, and it seemed like there weren't enough of them considering the number of guests. The tables were also placed too close together, which made it a bit uncomfortable.

Jeffrey Kennedy: The, honestly, most perfect dining experience I have ever had.Mikaela, you are a gem, the knowledgeable Somelier as a performance artist.I do not say this in any way to disparage or denigrate your knowledge or the selection of premium wines to accompany the tasting menu. The thought, time, presentation, into the little things not always noticed, staff ratio, quality of glasses, plates, service, let alone the menu and preparation.I can't fault anything, and I'm not joking. Without parallel, it is the best dining experience I have ever had.Thank you.You have made my trip to Sydney more than worthwhile. Equal to spending time with an overseas friend, my visit from Adelaide has been made perfect by spending Saturday night at Aria.Thank you again
Benjamin Smith: Really exceptional food. Great unpretentious service. Lovely view. Can't fault it!
Mark Joscelyne: Last night my wife and I were fortunate enough to dine at Aria in the company of Matt Moran and Gordon Ramsay. The wait staff, food selection, ambiance and vibe was world class. I decided to do the wine paring and for someone that knows the globalwine scene quite well, I was particularly impressed with our sommelier Vikki. Her knowledge and understanding of wine was outstanding and this really helped turn a great night into an absolutely incredible evening. To the whole team at Aria, I take my hat off to you all for a night I’ll remember for a long time.
Cariane Beslic: In 2019, November 1st my husband and myself had our first date in Aria, the food, the waiters, the wine selection and food were amazing. On Anzac Day (25/04/2023) we had our baby daughter and we named her Aria because of the amazing date night we had in the restaurant and she is the most gorgeous girl ever! Can wait to take her there one day ❤️
Christopher Watterson: Absolutely amazing food and staff.
Margarita Pavlova: Definitely 5 star experience and that includes every aspect: food, wine list, service, atmosphere.

Alvaro Cervera: Amazing environment and views, where we enjoyed one of the best degustation menus that we have tried in Australia. We chose the 8 course meal and I tried the Sommeliers pairing, which was excellent. The staff were very kind and knowledgeable. We were lucky to enjoy a beautiful view of the Opera, with the light and drone show. I really recommend the experience.
Meatball Wanzi: Too salty too oily. This is the worst restaurant I've been to in a long, long time. Every dish is either too buttery, salty or oil. Even someone like me that enjoys eating butter by itself can't stand how oily the food is.Food: 5/1|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/4 …More
Wayne Rockall: It is one of the best dining experiences ever. Remarkable degustation dishes beautifully crafted, wonderfully presented and explained. The food was excellent, as was the wine. Lucas echeverri: Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5 stars)I recently dined at Quay Restaurant in Sydney and had a memorable experience. While the food was good, it didn't quite reach the level of excellence I was expecting. The standout aspect of the evening was definitely the exceptional service, which deserves high praise. We opted for the 6-course menu with the Quay pairing wine, and I must say that the wines served were delightful. Each wine was carefully selected and perfectly complemented the dishes. The sommelier's expertise was evident, and it added an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall dining experience. The service provided at Quay was truly outstanding. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and took great care in explaining each dish and its ingredients. Their attention to detail was commendable, ensuring that every guest felt well taken care of throughout the evening. From start to finish, the service was top-notch.One aspect that left me slightly disappointed was the portion sizes. They were incredibly small, even for a fine dining experience. While I understand the focus on quality over quantity, I felt that the portions could have been a bit more substantial to justify the price tag. Nevertheless, the flavors and presentation of the dishes were impressive, showcasing the culinary skills of the chefs.Quay Restaurant is undeniably on the pricier side, considering the portions you receive. However, the exceptional service and the overall dining experience make it worth a visit. If you're looking for a memorable evening with top-notch service and a good selection of wines, Quay Restaurant is a great choice.
Alexander Terp: Came on mother's day, Quay gave our mom a champagne glass to celebrate (made it pretty clear it was free), but then asked if the rest of us would join in without making it clear we would pay. And it was not cheap champagne. We're already paying 374 AUD per person to be there, so we all thought "oh how nice of then to give us this extra thing, i guess we're already paying a lot". Being hit with 154 AUD extra on the bill for something that was not made clear would cost you never feels good and I'd expect better from staff at a place like Quay.Food itself was okay, the desserts were great and unique but the rest wasn't too amazing - overall definitely not worth 374 AUD for the 8 course (and the 6 course likely similar story). Food came out too slowly (we were there for over 3 hours) and portions were unsatisfying. Overhyped, save your money.
Robert Costa: Everyone should be proud of this establishment. The staff, food, and service, were all totally enjoyable. Shout out to the wait staff and sommelier, making it a complete experience.

They explained very well and were friendly.Food was just normal (the first 3 snacks were nice). All the chefs must bw working hard on their food. If the floor staff did nice service for the customers, it must feel more yummy. I couldn't enjoy the food at all except the desert. The desert was amazing. Especially raspberry. It was very yummy. It reminded me of the snow egg.The wine list was poor, interms of price of the wine, there is no advantage.(We're just wondering why they open a wine with screws in front of the customers, but they open at the back with corks.)Maybe we had high expectations because they have 3 hats.Just very very expensive experience. I'm very disappointed when I think that I spent almost $900 for dinner.
M D: Outstanding meal - every course absolutely delicious.
Steve Mardlin: WOW! Second visit here and still incredible. We had the tasting menu, each course was divine. On top of this we had an oyster, the homemade bread (😍) and the petit four at the end.The team here are wonderful and did a wonderful job of catering for an allergy. The seperate menus in an envelope at the end is a lovely touch.

Automata Restaurant: what do users think?
B Cannula: Been here twice, both times thoroughly enjoyed the culinary experience and surprised by some of the dishes planned out by the chef. Visited one last time before their announced closure and had a great experience. Sadly didnt have many photos taken. My long time fav was jersey milk dish!
Nate: I'm not a huge fan of emulsions. There were a lot of emulsions on the menu.I'd still rate it 5/5 as they were all delicious and opened my tastes to new experiences. Not only is the food exceptional, but the substitutions are well thought out and just as high quality. If you can't eat one of the dishes they have beautifully crafted alternatives to cater. This is a key thing for many people, particularly vegetarians or people who don't each shellfish. Each dish is amazingly balanced, together with its component. Some dishes you might try a piece of and be unsure about, but if you take care to get a bit of each piece of the dish (sauce, or broth or garnish etc) together, then it creates a harmonious flavour. The service as well is lovely and actually read our booking notes before we arrived. They were prepared and knowledgeable about the food, wine, and available alternatives.Excellent and will be back again.

李冠廷: Amazing food, pretty much all the dishes are delicious. A little bit under staff in the front of house but definitely one of the best food I have in Australia. Will come again for sure!
Stuart Forbes: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5More
Flo Yeow: Having been to a few fine dining restaurants around, Automata definitely is well worth the experience around the price point that they are charging. Is it the best, no; that's also why they're not at the price point that restaurants like LuMi is at.Personally found the calamari to be the best dish - unexpected to say the least. The other dishes were all flavorful, some explosive, but mostly within range of expectations. Not sure if it was just me, but I felt like the sequence of dishes were also very green for some odd reason, and not as much color variations.Service is great, can't complain. Friendly servers who made the evening service thoroughly enjoyable.
Dylan: A sensational experience that I cannot speak highly enough of.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Elle Mac: Really wanted to enjoy Automata as it has been so lauded and well reviewed. Sadly, with its impending closing, the heart and soul seems to be dimming here and the fatigue comes through in the food, service, and ambience. Chef was entirely unsolicitous and disinterested when he dropped off the snacks. Those were impressively delicious, but the taste experience dwindled (issues with flavor combinations, salt levels, textural contrasts, temperature), with few high points until desserts where the pastry chef/team seemingly still has joy. However, every course was brought with unenthusiastic, monotone recitation of ingredients and a hurriedness to get back to the kitchen. Nobody asked how we were enjoying anything. All of this in a space so concrete cold, lacking edgy energy of industrial chic or enough warm human engagement (a harried, but friendly server softened the coolness somewhat). It was a disappointment among a week’s worth of otherwise terrific dining at many of Sydney's highly recommended restaurants, stalwart and new. Finally, without begrudging the need to price higher given global and local issues, it nonetheless felt out of step in contrast to the prix fixes elsewhere for the overall experience. With a few weeks to go, hope it finishes on a higher note.
Deb W: Wonderful food and fabulous service. Very interesting wine list. Food is seafood heavy, but beautifully cooked (or raw) and presented. Refined space of raw concrete and minimalist decor but not noisy at all. Si sad it is closing.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

franjelly: I was really excited to come here but was severely disappointed. I came with a friend and we both really did not enjoy the food, the combinations werent great and perhaps it was too experimental/unusual for our taste. Most dishes there was something we disliked and only 2 dishes, the wagyu and mandarin sorbet dish did we enjoy. The service was amazing and i’m sure it just wasnt to our taste given the many high rated reviews.
W Wu: It’s quite unusual nowadays for a restaurant do mains (and desserts) better than entrées!Love the Nori grouper and the wagyu tri tip the most among the savoury courses, cooked to perfection with a very harmonious taste. Desserts were excellent! Cleared the plate even tho we were quite full. The long pepper and porcine gives a very balance but intriguing flavour profile to the desserts (and they are not too sweet) that could let you easily inhaled them all. However the cocktails are a bit too plain/watery to my taste 😅Overall a good experience! Very friendly environment! :)
Peter Thomas: After trying out Automata in its opening weeks, have been back occasionally over the years. The meal this week was excellent, and included some of the favorite dishes of their time in Chippendale. Sad that they are going!
Beck Ferricks: Staff were lovely and skilled in the menu content.Head chef even served us our last tasting menu dish wish made the experience. Thank youDietary restrictions: Adopted the menu to meet my dietary needs (allergies)
Pena Gilligan: The atmosphere was the only thing that was of value to the price asked for the dinner. Service was minimal and the dishes were below sub par. Wouldn’t recommend. 0.5/5
I L: Probably the best meal I've ever had. Every dish was thoughtfully created and just worked; service was first class.
Luca: First time eating here before the restaurant close definitely (December 17th I recommend to try it).We very much appreciated the different combination of flavours and presentation that went into each plate of the extended tasting menu. The service was flawless and the staff very knowledgeable. The minimalist decore style of the restaurant was also appealing. We’re glad to have experienced it.
Chloe Moreland: Poor experience overall.Food was average and overpriced. It’s like they put more effort into the visual than the taste.Wine choice was poor and limited so wouldn’t recommend the wine package.Service was ok. They didn’t once ask if we enjoyed anything and the dishes were explained as if they were reading from a page.Such a shame as we’d been looking forward to it for a while but wouldn’t recommend.
Jerry Sulivan: Great food and staff
Lucy Hayes: We expected more from Automata given it claims to be fine dining, and the price is high. Some dishes were very nice, and some forgettable. Every dish should have been of a high quality. The atmosphere felt rushed (at one point our table was cleared hastily while I was still eating!) and the service staff were not very friendly. We left early as the time dragged on, and we didn’t have a sense of being particularly welcome at the restaurant. We asked to take a dessert dish home which was accommodated. Overall, we’ve had much more interesting and welcoming fine dining experiences elsewhere.

Gavroche did amuse bouche and bread and butter very well, it was warm, fluffy and crispy.escargot sauce could have had a deeper flavour. wagyu tartare was great and generously sized, the croutons it came with made each bite a little dry. maybe if it was thinner/potato based?the duck was very tender, mash was smooth and rich. as it was quite heavy, if there was a sauce that could compliment that it would've been easier to finish. i think our mains were sitting for a little while as the edges were cold. wish the barramundi had more of that tart sauce as it really freshened up the dish! and roast veggies had a nice buttery(?) tinge.crêpe suzette taste wise we were not a fan of, the alcohol taste was overpowering. but visually gorgeous. i enjoyed the crème brûlée, and that was a very generous portion size and quite rich.we were taking many photos so thank you to the staff for putting up with that!3.5 stars
Sarah Louise: Literally one of the best French restaurants in Sydney… I’ve had food allOver France and no where comparesTo this place in Syd. Especially the staff who are attentive, friendly, fun and kind. They make the whole experience !!!! I’ve been twice now and Luis one of the waiters made our whole night the first time, he was exceptional with his customer service and attention to detail and we didn’t wait at all for our drinks and or the truly incredible meals we have come back for a second time and the same perfect service and food has been offered aswell as aboveeeeee the line customer service from Dan, Anna and the chef Baptise*** it was 10* out of 5!!!! They accommodated to our needs without hesitation and even went beyond that to make our dining experience even better … you should 100% book here Or at least try it once orrrrr 5 times!!!!!There is not a thing to fault at Gavroche!!! Expectations exceeded 100/10!!!!
J: Not sure if I had a bad day or this place is actually overrated. One of the escargots tasted almost a bit off but the others were alright, the garlic sauce was really flavourful though. The duck liver parfait was a little too airy for my liking and was slightly bland as well. Wish they could source their bread somewhere else as the crust was way too chewy and even the inside could have been better. We couldn’t finish the appetisers and told the wait staff that we were ready for the steak frites. Surprisingly the steak was served right after the appetisers have been cleared. The steak might have been sitting there for a while as it was cold and tough.Staff were nice and friendly but this place is definitely understaffed. It took us at least 5-10 minutes before we could get anyone’s attention for the dessert menu, the bill and actually paying.
Stephen P: We had the mussels and the onion soup. Both were amazing! Tried the mussels with the fermented chilli butter and it went down a treat, wouldn’t suggest it if you don’t have a tolerance for chilli though as it does build up on you.The waiters were very attentive and the atmosphere was almost like a movie set.Highly recommend for a special occasion.

Alexander Chan: Came here for a special occasion and it was a wonderful dining experience. Food was delicious, atmosphere was unique and service was attentive. I would totally recommend as a special night out for those looking for French food.
Claire Ong: Fantastic food, wonderful service, and an amazing atmosphere for a date night! We visited from interstate and loved it!
Shamiram Moshy: Beautiful staff, excellent food and amazing place. Every meal my husband and I got was divine.
Zarko Grncarevski: Simply the best...Great atmosphere, great food, great service.. I highly recommend this restaurant to all those who love French food, especially the snails, which admittedly were very small compared to other French restaurants in Sydney, but also for 1kg mussels with parsley and butter. Thank you very much on behalf of myself and on behalf of my family members who celebrated my son's marriage.

Al J: Perfect dining experience. Opted for the scallops, French onion soup, duck and the sorbet. Brilliant service and atmosphere. Will be going back soon!
L L: Absolutely loved discovering this local favourite. Onion soup and sole meuniére are a must-try.
xiaobin fleming: The waitress are very rude and there is no service there, I had been there 3 three time, the service was all quite average everytime. I am not sure it's french style to service people with no patient and arrogant ?the food is ok , the reason I came back is for the foie gras as it's cooked good there, I don't want to comments too much about the food as everyone has different taste, just remind people if you go there pls don't expect the friendly service .the high class restaurant price with the food court service.
Victoria Sang: My partner and I absolutely love this place. We’ve been coming here at least once a month since we discovered Gavroche a couple of years ago. The service is top tier, the food is absolutely divine. We’ve tried everything on the menu, we highly recommend the Wagyu Rump, the risotto and or the muscles. Everything on the starters is 10/10. But really the chef respects his craft and everything on the menu is a hit. The price point is very reasonable and it’s just consistently amazing. The venue is romantic, cozy and a little sexy and we just adore everything about this restaurant
Laura Wang: Good French restaurant with tasty food and environment. But the service was slow.
Franck Bortnik: What a magical night, perfect location, beautiful atmosphere, great food and lovely staff. We had the Escargots for entree Mussels for mains and the Paris Brest for dessert. Thank you so much for taking good care of us, I highly recommend this restaurant the best French experience in Sydney.Kid-friendliness: The manager was really patient and lovely with our kids, she was really kind.
Mylène Selosse: One of my favourite restaurants in Sydney! A simple authentic French menu with high quality food and a comprehensive Australian / French wine list. The staff is always very accommodating, polite and extremely helpful with food and drinks recommendation. The decor and the atmosphere are very welcoming, warm and cozy. Gavroche is a perfect place for all occasions and I would highly recommend it!
Alex Chen: Foods very decent quality for the price.Environment is good for having conversations and well decorated.Only complaint is that the service is quite slow, especially on a relatively not busy weekday evening.Recommended dishes Angus Beef Tartare Dietary restrictions accommodated Vegetarian …More
Hiu Yan Chen: The waiter misunderstood our order, even he was confused, he did not copy back what he jot down. He nearly forced us to pay for the blunder and did not admit his mistake, but just excused by “I would speak with my manager”. He was very startled all through.Besides services, the location is not convenient as well, surrounded by some bars and pubs and upstairs. You could definitely get better (French) dining experience with the money spent here.

Laura: Really looked forward to dining here but was unfortunately disappointed. The food was nice but service was severely lacking, a dish was forgotten and we had to let 2 waiters know on 3 different occasions- it eventually came out 30 mins after all the dishes were finished (and after being given the dessert menu) but no apology whatsoever from the mediocre staff. $460 for 2 people who left disappointed and still reasonably hungry, I would highly recommend trying ‘Sushi E’ for a much more enjoyable dining experience.
Danielle Abood: I’ve been to Sokyo many times but last night was so disappointing!!!!!The service was horrible - the staff and management won’t even look at you if it’s not their table. There was 1 wait staff to more than 10 tables. If you want to be ignored all night this is your place to go! Very very slow food service too. Took 2 hours just to get the sushi rolls out. Unfortunately won’t be rushing back.

Issac Martin: I was getting ready to really unload on this katsu. @ $65 it comes with expectations and the presentation wasnt very clean. Service a little clunky. But it actually ate really well. W M: Terrible and unprofessional service. Food is average and over priced. I definitely do not recommend eating here. Spent 200 dollars that I'd love to have spent elsewhere. Also charged for item that never arrived...Editing as hours later I am now feeling ill from this food. I plan to speak to management

Vee Bee: Food was decent but service was terrible. After ordering took almost 1 hour to get our food. A simple request of sitting at the sushi bar was not even an option even though we saw no one seated there for the 3 hours we were dining. Told by the staff it's exclusive, not for everyone. Very pretentious and not welcoming restaurant, can't recommend. Better off spending your money elsewhere
Mona B: Pleasantly surprised. Not big on Japanese food but the breakfast burger was simple yet delicious. I also ate most of my husbands mushroom omelette 😋Food: 5/4|Service: 5/3|Atmosphere: 5/4 …More
Anthony Vicano (TigerVicas): Beautiful food and a great wine list to match. The sashimi platter is one of the best going around. If the crispy tuna rice is on the menu, order it !!!!
Aaron Paing: Went there last Saturday for lunch and was very disappointed with both quality and quantity. We ordered a $90 Sashimi platter which had tiny pieces. The sashimi were way smaller than any other places I have been to. The entire plate was not even sufficient for one person. The tempura had again very small three pieces. Pork belly was okay but again insufficient quantity for a meal. Still water costed us $6 per person, really?Overall, very pricey for its size and quality.

Andrew Nguyen: What a fantastic night I had here! It’s quite an amazing experience for me and my family. The decor is simple but luxurious. The drink is not that great, but the food is incredibly fresh and delicious. I could remember the texture of the fish: crunchy, soft, and sweet. There are many words that I can use to describe it. Overall, Perfect
Alix Lee: Recommended dishes Kingfish Miso CevicheMore
Nikki Ye: Avoid the tasting menu. For the high price point, there is no concept behind the menu, professional service, nor a high quality of ingredient. There are restaurants around serving this level of dining experience at a third of the price.
Rita Kusevskis-Hayes: Service was extremely slow, the main meal took an hour to arrive without any apologies or communication. Multiple staff served the table so often times there was confusion resulting. A disappointing experience after much anticipation.Vegetarian options: Very limited options
Anthony Sas: Ate here on our honeymoon and as always it was a pleasant food experience. We ordered the kingfish ceviche, miso cod, chicken, spicy tuna roll, edamame beans and the chocolate fondant. The food was fresh, well presented and arrived in a timely manner. The service was friendly and the staff made us feel special on such a special occasion. My only piece of constructive feedback is that the lighting is a little too dim for my liking. It would be nice to be able to see the beautiful food a little more.
M T: Food is nice and service is good but as a regular I am dissatisfied and disappointed that Sokyo is no longer available on weekday lunches, not even Friday!
