Bridget Foliaki-Davis: What a wonderful store! I was spending the day going through thrift and vintage stores around Sydney and I have to say that my stop at Sydney used furniture was one of my favorites. Prices are very reasonable and there's lots of things to Mull over and desire.It's a treasure trove of goodies from cabinets filled with mid-century Ceramics and early century wares with special attention to English crockery. There is also a cabinet with military paraphernalia and down the back of the store you will find odds and ends with prices similar to those of Salvos and Vinnies.Lots of wonderful art deco furniture including an upstairs area with more offerings. Whilst I was in store the phone did not stop ringing with people wanting to sell, so I expect that there will be lots of goodies available in this store for time to come.

Paris Spennato: The shopkeeper at this shop was extremely and unecessarily rude to my friend and I when we went in for a simple browse. The shoes were nice but the shopkeeper completely ruined my experience in the store and I will never go into this shop ever again. Her attitude was disgraceful and ruined my day.

Even lovelier YSL heels which I had to forego because of a commitment to wearing flats. Totally recommend the detour off Oxford Street. When I am next in Sydney I will make the effort to visit again.

For their chai tea obviously, and love for books. The staff is very kind and the vibe is great. Can’t recommend it enough if you’re looking for a bite (menu is great!), coffee, nice place to chat, with sittings inside or outside!
Annette Davey: First visit there and was made to feel very unwelcome - went to pay for a Birthday card and instead of a hello, (I started with a Hi, how are you) I was greeted with a 'Pay at the other counter'. Not a great first impression, but because I'm in the area working I'll give it one more try. Hopefully the person was just having one of those days because the coffe was great and it's a gorgeous little cafe, such a pity the service wasn't.

Michael Lever: I've reviewed this venue before, so rather than provide another rating, I will offer a short guide on how to best enjoy time at this unique but often very busy establishment. The first point is to be reasonable in balancing your orders against the amount of time you intend staying. This isn't corporate Starbucks where nobody cares if you spend 5 hours on your laptop for one cup of coffee. This is a small family owned business and while it's reasonable to expect hospitality - charity is something altogether different. There is nothing more uncomfortable for staff or clients than issuing a request to leave. So at the least, if settling in for a long read, keep your orders ticking over.Secondly - don't downplay the bookstore element. If you are after a particular book or genre, don't be afraid to ask for help and you will probably be pleasantly surprised at the expertise of staff.Lastly - Covid has greatly impacted the tourist clientele of G&A. This will almost certainly shortly change and the cafe will return to crowded trade. So get in now while there is a bit more space 😃
