Rozelle Collectors Markets: what do users think?
Raul Pandey: Good value
Susan Skinner: Sunny and busy. Good for a recreational stroll. And I bought a lovely big tablecloth from the haberdashery lady. Very good value.
L D: There was a sameness about many of the "store's" merchandise. Not particularly excited by what was for sale.
Leanne Manniche: Great fun and interesting things to buy. Lovely location that is easy to get to on public transport.
Wendy Kain: Fantastic is the correct word. What a great range of goods. Take small notes, these people always struggle to make change.
Michael Maskell: Great variety and I even managed to get a couple of bargains amongst the mostly full blown retail prices .
罗爱平: 可以大开眼界,购物经济实惠
James: Watch out for the gangs of professional buyers who push you around
Ren: 超棒的地方,喜歡逛二手店的朋友都可以來看看!只有週六到下午三點而已!Only Saturday until 3:00 p.m.
Dante: It's worth to take a stroll here that you can enjoy the weekend and you may meet your destiny subjects if you like some old thingsm
yuchi lee: 多樣化的商品,非常好逛,附近也有許多商家!
Mandy Siu: Great variety of foods with friendly sellers
Alan Lee Agentas: Heaps of nice collectables and clothing for women just a nice little walk around for an hour or two
G: Not sure if it's what it used to be.?
Beverley Wooding: Not as large a market as pre-Covid but still well stocked and interesting
Susan Tran: Good to see it busy again post covid
Gerry OBrien: Buzzing as usual. Bought some great figs as usual.
Captain: The stallholders/vendors are being charged to much to setup meaning fewer vendors and less variety. The company that has the rights to lease spaces to vendors already own the lease rights to about all the major markets in Sydney. Being rich already is just not good enough 😑 have to squeeze as much out of people as possible and in turn ruin a once vibrant community market.
Barbara Wojtkowiak: Good
swang fang: Most of the stands are really random, but you can always find good quality apparel in the stand near the parking lot.(probably the biggest stand in the market) Some of the clothes are even brand new with tag, I have purchased three times from the stand owner.
Peter Cobden: Got 35 DVDs $65. 3 pots $3,$3 & $8. Lunch. Vietnamese. Hacksaw, mini screw drivers a bargain.

Surry Hills Market: what do users think?
Frank Farrelly: Good overall playground but slides are poor. Hard to keep vision on kids if you have more than one due to design. Fence is also bad as many little hands caught in mechanism and fence is too low for kids and big dogs, when beside a busy road. However good sunlight and popular spot with some native animal touches.
Michael Maskell: Nice variety of second hand items, worth a look.
arthur cooke: Great fun place, creative products. Ideal gifts.
Troy S: Great place lots to do very enjoyable during the week nice restaurants all around very safe good bus service
yuchi lee: 很好的地方,不止賣衣服,也有賣舊商品,不讓這個地方單一銷售!👍!
William Seneka: Just checking.
Eve Daly: Needs more stalls and when it rains should still be held somewhere undercover otherwise not to bad sometimes there's some good things.
Tracey Carnie: Enjoyed going to this market whilst visiting Sydney. Stall holders were very friendly
julia ps: Great place for vintage and second hand goods from women's and men's clothing, boots, cd's and records, and even furniture!
LU PETER: Nice
Desley Harris: Fabulous Mardi Gras day at the markets
kim marsh: Preductal the same stall holders trying to sell the same old stuff it needs a new direction.
Zoe Davies: Nice vibe but the stalls seem to sell a lot of similar items. Limited food and drink options but lots of nearby cafes. Great park adjacent to the market so very family friendly.
Siemonne Lansdowne: My local shops, so I love them
ashkan sanjari: In this market, you can find clothes and accessories at reasonable prices, which is great
Amrita Talukder: Its open on the first Saturday of every month. Quite charming.
Candace Robinson: Ill buy some clothes next time we come to shop, for now we enjoyed the food stands.
Jenny: 글리베마켓이랑 비슷한 느낌굳이 찾아갈 이유는 없고 근처에서 브런치 먹고 빈티지상점들 구경가기 전에 가볍게 들어 구경하면 조을듯
Sachin Agarwal: Good place to visit, walking from central station and chic place. Some shops offers good merchandise, some are expensive and others are relatively moderately expensive. Food selection is huge and one can get all varieties of food as you like.
sulamifff: Good small market! Beautiful quality vintage and new clothing, some antiques, designer stuff too. There are some sales and second hand, but not the cheapest market.
Sandra de Nicola: Overpriced stuff that Vinnies wouldn't sell . Dont waste your time. Very disappointing.

Also came during the filo food week wich was awesome so much food to choose from and every one was so friendly. Recommend the chicken rice porridge and the ramen king was sensational 😋

Amy F: Good little market to visit. Has a lot of different items depending on vendors there on the day. Clothing, tools, gardening supplies, etc.Food trucks were great & had jumping castle for the kids.Plenty of parking too.
Darren Baverstock: The road at prospect was closed so a trip along the m4 ,too arrived at the market 2 dollar entry fee not enough stalls to justify their entry fee lots of trash and treasure
Anton smith: Much better these days better organized, friendly staff.
Mehnaz Farah: Nice place to visit.. they have a good variety of products to choose and buy.. the price is also reasonable.. if you are nearby, visit the market..

SWOP Clothing Exchange Sydney: what do users think?
Isabella Andrews: Went today to sell two Celine bags and the $ offer was surprisingly low. I was also surprised that they didn't have a firm authentication process. I'll be sticking to Blue Spinach in Redfern for my designer consignment needs. Three stars are for the friendly staff and the previous success I have had selling clothes at SWOP.
Paul Duggan: Just shop there it’s fantastic
Lulu bishop chiara: Great place to buy, swop and sell! I love the Sydney location and that they always have such a beautifully curated store. You won’t always get as much as you hoped for items when brought in although it’s a great system. If you have preloved clothes in good condition why not exchange them for new beautiful pieces.
Jieming Cheng: I had a great first time experience of selling & buying today! I booked a 10am appointment online, then brought in a set of silky shirt & skirt which I bought 2 years ago for around $580. Since I came in early, I only waited 20min for the lovely assistant ladies to assess the items. The shirt was taken for $31 store credit and the skirt was rejected because of wine stains, which I totally understand. I shopped around the store and found a pair of linen pants priced $42 & used my store credit. To me, it’s a great time of reflection on how should money be spent for clothes. Did the shirt and skirt, with whatever brand/fashion/on-trend additional value, really worth my $580 at the time of purchase? Could I have spent that on things that matter to me more than clothings? I think it has taught me a lesson about the presumed value vs actual value in consumerism.
Angie Newton: Make sure you check the items very closely! I know this is a secondhand place but it f you’re pay good money for an item it should be labeled with any stains. I was unfortunate enough to buy a $200 dress, which had an oil stain you could only see in the sun light… I went back straight away and told them. They flat out rejected. Very disappointing customer service. No empathy.
Toby R: If you go in store you are advised you have to wait several hours for them to look at your items and value them. Advised by curt staff to go online and book an appt. Tried to do that…spent 45 mins trying to log items on the site to be able to book appt and it kept crashing. Look for a number to call to book an appt over phone and there is no number. I give up…Facebook marketplace it is. Customer experience is very poor and requires iteration. The two stars are in support of the ‘concept’…sadly the execution needs work.
Kayanna W: I’ve emailed SWOP and they didn’t respond.. the comment under this review doesn’t address how SWOP are selling things I bought %500 higher either .. So disappointing to see how far downhill SWOP has gone for the consumer. If you sell here be prepared.. they will resell for 4-5x what they offer you. Honestly trash they aren’t supporting the local community that gave them their name.
bleh bleh: While it is a little on the pricey end, those who write such scathing reviews need to understand that the demographic for this shop is very particular. They are specifically going to buy things that cater to what is fashionable in the 15-35 age range. The type of stuff you see on ssense and in independent boutiques. If you know what they want, you can bring things you know they will take, or at least consider. They have a great assortment of brands, including US brands that are hard to find, or expensive to get shipped here. They have a designer section that is A LOT more affordable than buying brand new, and there are lots of rarer and unique items. They aren’t a charity shop, and the prices reflect this. but if you’ve got a spare $30-$100 you can find something really special! With the prices at the actual charity shops in Newtown sky rocketing, I guarantee the prices for stuff here is the same as the “designer” section of Vinnies and Red Cross (in the area)
Lis: Very clever buisness model - they will reject all your clothing, offer to take it off your hands to donate to "a charity", free stock for them to sell at their other interstate stores - scam!
C: Very disappointed in new set up of store. Lost it’s charm. price tags are off, not set prices anymore. Less clothes. Terrible diversity throughout store. What sell outs. How things have changed.
Emily Edwards: I have consistently gone into SWOP Newtown and the ‘type and quality’ of swop is very confusing and changes depending on which person is looking at the clothes. I have brought back clothes I’ve bought at swop only to have them turned away for being ‘damaged’ however they had not been worn and were in the exact same condition as they were bought in. Disappointing and very steep pricing.
Paul: Really let down with the new store set-up of swop. Very different to its original business model. Brisbane store is still the same. The organising of clothes has gone down. No proper sizing through out store . garments have been on racks for ages. They are choosing wrong styles that don’t sell. Not original anymore with no diversity. Very disappointed in the new staff with the choices. Need to accept more sellable pieces rather then just the cram of the crop and all similar standards. Extremely discounted that the old swop has changed. Can see how they aren’t sell as much anymore. They did do a proper chart of what’s selling and what isn’t. To much of one style. No set price margins too. All clothes different prices. We need to set a standard for 2nd hand clothes or people will continue to buy fast fashion.Really need to lift their game to what it use to be.
Sunnie Fong: Nice concept. Will come again to treasure hunt.
Kate Carlisle: It’s a waste of time, the 30 people I saw go through there they took like two things. Would just donate to a charity.
Betty: I've bought and sold here a few times, and the staff are lovely. I've always managed to bring in something they will take, I take into account what's in store and what they say they are looking for, but these days, I'm not sure what they are looking for. They turned down a pair of Balmain leather pants and an Armani blazer, amongst other things, when I know in the past they would have taken them -shrugs-
CRW: I’ve been pleathered
Honey Sweet: A total waste of time! Don’t even bother going! I have worked in the clothing industry and I know how the clothing/retail works! seeing that this swop shop rejected seasonal clothing and boots in winter was a big joke! And they only take seasonal clothing/ brands! The girl at the counter said they are only taking what will sale in the shop! You don’t decided what people buy from your shop. It’s Enmore/Newtown this is a place where everyone and fashion Style is accepted! A HUGE WASTE OF TIME! I will not recommend it to anyone I know. Cheers
Mathilda Wilde: I’d like to start off by saying I actually love Swop and the one star rating on my review has nothing to do with the business model or what they are in general (adore and fully support the more environmentally sustainable model of a circular clothing economy!) - but was purely in the hopes of bringing forth to the managers attention a specific issue that I’ve found with the process. There’s been a few occasions where I’ve brought a bag of items in for the (amazing!) staff to consider, and had some items accepted and of course, some turned away. What a lot of the one star reviews here don’t consider is that Swop IS.a business and obviously should only buy items that they genuinely think will sell and represent the style they want to curate for their store. They’re not a charity and have no obligation to take items that don’t fit these criteria - even if they do fit many of the criteria suggested for clothing they want or consider. However on this note i’ve recently handed into Swop a small bag of items for their consideration, from which every item was rejected (bummer! with the lovely person at the counter specifying that the condition and quality of the items just wasn’t quite up to scratch. This would be fine except I actually purchased every single one of these items recently at Swop, and only ONE of them had actually been worn by me, - hence me bringing them back. I completely understand if the items aren’t what they’re looking for in terms of style, or season at the moment, but it was a bit disheartening they specified the ‘condition’ was why they were giving them a miss, when they were all except one in the exact same condition I bought them from the store.I understand if they are trying to up the quality overall of their stock, but it was a bit confronting to hear none the less. Best wishes and hope this is something the store can take into account :)
Celina Belle: The quality of clothing inside for sale is great, the prices are a little steeper than what you expect but that is just the vintage clothing market today. As for re-selling clothes, i have come here a handful of times to resell and i have found the rules odd, one time they told me they didnt want a pair of vintage jeans due to stains, i brought them back a few months later and they were happy to buy them (they were never stained to begin with). I also found that the 'buying' counter that assesses the clothes has strange times that its opened or closed, and upwards of a 2 hour wait period to have the clothes assessed, so make sure you have errands to run in Newtown while you wait. All in all, i think the dresses at SWOP are the most special items especially if you need like a party dress, but maybe try selling your clothes at Glebe markets first if you want a quicker turnaround??
Sophie Borg: What a cool store concept... great clothes and vibe. Definitely top on the list to visit if you're going to newtown! xxx
Elegant Life: Their standards on setting up a client’s items resell value is very subjective. A tall girl at the shop needs to stop talking and start listening.
