Anthony: I've been here a few times as it's the only store of its type around. Rarely will the staff help you, my most recent visit I went in to buy the new Samsung S23 Ultra, and no staff member approached to help me buy it. Which is unusual for a jbhifi, as every other jb I've been to the staff were helpful and quickly approached to sell the expensive locked electronics.The only person that seems to acknowledge your existence is the security person at the entrance.Avoid going to this jbhifi if you have the choice.

Luke Towler: This is by far the WORST JB store I’ve ever shopped at. I live local and need to pop in at times as there isn’t a similar store close. Every time I walk in, there is about 8 staff members and the store isn’t close to busy. I walk around trying to find what I’m after and the staff are standing in groups talking and laughing, seeing me but they always act like I’m not there. When I go up and ask to find what I’m after they treat you like it’s the hardest thing on earth.The last straw was today I had to buy a powerboard. I ride a motorbike so I needed to take it out of its box so it fit In my bag. It’s a small box…I asked a staff member if they could please take it and put in there big bins which she told me “no there are bins out on the street up the road”If you can, go to Goodguys, Harvey or bing lee and save yourself the experience

peter law: First, replace under warranty, then change to repair when I refused to pay $70 for an extended warranty when fixing the payment.I bought a BOSE earphone nine months ago and it was faulty and unable to charge, so I took it to JBHIFI WORLD SQUARE to claim the warranty. Because they did not have a like-for-like earphone for replacement, I had to choose the more expensive one and pay the difference. When it came to payment, I refused to pay $70 for an extended warranty, as they could not make commission money on extended warranties, so the store manager, Chris Patton, changed the warranty from replacement to repair. Now I have to wait up to eight weeks for the repair. I would advise avoiding JBHIFI WORLD SQUARE.

Dina Malaxos: Located in the lower ground of The Strand Arcade, it is not the most comfortable place to visit. It's not a big store but the location is beautiful. Hence, there isn't a vast array of products. Like all retail, currently there are staff shortages. As long as you're not in a hurry, I would take a stroll through the store. Staff are professional, friendly, and helpful. The city is a shadow of its former self.
G Kennedy: We got in reasonably early but staff still knew we were here as some greeted us. That didn’t seem to stop them chatting to each other and using a lot of expletives as they loudly chatted. I made a choice (granted the box was an empty one but there were many empty ones of the same product on the shelf) and took it to the counter. The person on the check out needed to call one of the previously mentioned persons, who then needed to walk away and then needed to find out that the product was out of stock everywhere in the city stores….after some cricket chirping, I said I would order it online. I didn’t say I would certainly not do it from JB. If we are relying on checking product availability and checking locations of products before we purchase, then why do they even bother having stores? Having items on shelves that are out of stock is not the way to do things. Lazy.
CAMS & CHA: Jonah’s the best here- look for him when you need assistance! He’s got mean customer service skills- explains products well and finds out if they have a stock of items that are not on the shelves anymore! Legend.

Melissa Barrett: A superb place to shop. I recently bought a Hisense 58A6KAU smart television from here. Being a bit of an oldie, I wasn't too keen on the idea of hooking my tv up to the internet as I don't care for streaming content... I actually have a life. They successfully explained to me that there was no need to connect the device to the internet and upon unboxing (after delivery), found tuning the free to air channels a breeze, just scroll to the bottom of the wi-fi connection menu to skip and if you have a standard aerial and power, the device can take care of the rest. The price and size perfectly meets my needs. Will definitely be buying more from these people who completely understand the capabilities of the products they sell, unlike many sister stores who proved to be unhelpful

The phone was slippery and once I opened the phone it slipped away from my hand and the screen got broken. I went and talk to them about the situation within 6 days. The phone was purchased in just 6 days before. I purchased the panzer glass from there (jbhifi) as well in the top ryde store,which also didn't helped much. They have mercilessly told that they won't replace the phone. I appreciate some help that must be done for the customers who have reasonable requests.

Matt: Poor customer service!Walked in with the intention of purchasing a set of Sony XM4 or 5s, and also enquiring about price matching (XM4's were available somewhere else for $399 ex delivery). While testing both models, a staff member was helping another customer out with a set of Bose (and would have noticed me standing there trying on headphones), and had finished by the time I had decided on what to purchase. I stood around for close to 10 minutes without 1 staff member asking if I was interested in purchasing anything, or needed help with anything, while a group of 5 staff members (including the guy that helped the custome rout with Bose headphones) stood around talking and laughing with each other.Even if they hadn't price matched, and took $10-15 off their advertised price, I would have purchased them and walked out of the store with them. Their loss, headphones have now been purchased from somewhere else.

I was trying to correct but she just yelling at me and ask me to wait forever. Really bad salesmanship and bad attitude. I was also trying to write the number down on the paper to help her enter it into the system. She just refused to send me one.Too disappointed.

(My apologies if I've butchered his name), but he was amazing and had indepth knowledge of the phones available and caters to your specific needs or 'icks'. I did read the Google reviews and was filled with trepidation before I went with my colleague. Would recommend this place, especially for those visiting Sydney for the first time. All members of staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. A little smile, goes a long way. PS; 'D' deserves a raise.

The click and collect option is super easy and my camera was ready in a timely manner. Will happily go back here for my camera needs!

I went i today to purchase a car amplifier I’d seen on there website.After speaking with the gentleman at the counter he had asked a few questions regarding what type of speakers I had in my car. Another service member came and asked if he could take a look at the speakers I had in the car for further analysis.I was then enlightened to the fact that there was no way I could put an amplifier due to the type of car. It would have offset the entire technological program system.I have to thank these guys for their honest opinions and it just shows how great it feels to be treated like a customer. This is what customer service is all about. Unfortunately I did not get both of the guys names but overall as a company these guys set the perfect example why customers always return.If you want honesty and and service from a team who have product knowledge look n further than RYDA DOT COM!!!
Sharine Madoo: The most awful customer service. It’s truly no frills and arrogant. Yes, be warned as others say. I spent my money there and what bad decision it was.The staff was totally unhelpful. All I kept getting were automated messages. One staff member even sent me the definition of change of mind and text written in bold letters.I would recommend simply going to a different seller be it online or physical shop. They wouldn’t want to slap you with 20% processing fees which were never displayed at the the time of purchase or on the invoice. Do the math 20% additional on an item that costs around $400 to $ 700 is no small fee.

Nath: What can I say about the incompetence and total disregard for people with disabilities.The wrong product after spending 2 hours to drive to the store and back, rather than acknowledge the impact of this on me, they just decided that they can dictate how I must speak, and continually hung up on me.Absolute arrogance and ignorance. Extremely dismissive and unorganised.Several items that I was assured would be there were not, I made no fuss, get home and get half way through the assembly and the wrong scope is in the box. I call stating I was extremely upset about it, and no sense of urgency was shown. Even worse all they cared about was my then quite upset state, and not what caused it.When trying to explain the disabilities discrimination act I just get spoken over and "whatever". In the background I hear the manager slandering and mocking me to his staff. When confronted he just dismissed anything I said saying he doesn't believe it and kept hanging up trying to force me to comply with something I'm unable to.I cannot believe the attitude and arrogance of this place. Christian was who I dealt with.

Reg Gray: Id give them a ZERO if I could. Terrible customer service. Ordered an item on the 27th and still hasnt been processed 4days later. Payed for express post aswell. Customer service is non-existent, sent multiple emails/chats with ZERO reply. After trying +10 times to reach them on the phone someone finally answered and told me it would be processed the next day, that occured 3 times over 3 days ie about 30 phone attempts and still my item has NOT been processed. Thats right ORDER RDC 7046529 still hasnt been processed and I will likely not receive it in time for a 6 week trip. Im sure theyll have some BS excuse.Save your money/pay a bit extra and get your items from a company that is organised and has good customer service. This is unacceptable and il now give my money to AMAZON even if it costs more. At least il get my product in a timely manner and have someone to contact.And now that they have responded below and made a comment about bombarding them with 15 emails....that would not happen if they answered the previous 3 emails over 3 days. It took 15 emails in 20mins and 1 star Google review to get them to go "oh heck, I better sort this" but were perfectly willing to ignore a customer 3 days ago. Thats not customer service...Its damage control after the fact to save your Google star rating.....that 4.2 stars will soon be 3.5 stars if you dont optimise your customer service processes

Kirey Nohana: I had an excellent experience months ago and bought a laptop from the friendly staff at this store. I needed a few things, and I had already decided to buy a few items. However, on 7th June 22, I decided not to buy anything simply because that date's staffs were not helpful and rude. They were not busy, with almost no customers around. An unpleasant female staff was constantly walking around whilst staring so often. When asked about a light bulb, she replied, "I do not know. I am not an electrician". YES, I know you are not an electrician, but it is customary to ask questions!! You are a staff who was around and was not busy. There is no need to be rude!!! I didn't spend anything at this store because of her harsh attitude. With too many other stores with better services, you have successfully pushed customers away. Congrats for not getting many sales with your rude attitude.

Phil Austin: Can be really hit or miss, depending on who you get. Some staff are fantastic, and I do mean among the best you'll find in retail. Others spend their time twiddling thumbs on the shop floor or grunting at queries. If customers suspect you'd prefer to spend your hours receiving multiple colonics rather than handle a simple product question or exchange, its time to find a new career path. If you get a good one, make sure you thank them for their help!
