They were so kind to my enthusiastic little boy, sharing his joy at discovering a rare Pokémon card in a pack he purchased there, and despite being busy, they genuinely made him feel like a celebrity. On another occasion, a staff member rewarded him for making good financial decisions (deciding to save up for a pack he really wanted rather than using his money to buy a pack he didn't really need) by gifting him a Pokémon card for his collection.I didn't get the staff members' names, unfortunately, but I've had nothing but consistently great experiences in this store, from four different staff members on three different occasions. His father reported the same when he took our son in. You make a real difference to people's days. Keep up the great work, and thank you.

Canned Worms: As an avid gamer, I used to love coming here around 10 years ago and before that their store in Castle Hill shopping centre. It was great to have a local store that sold a wide range of new and retro video games and consoles. The store now mostly focuses on pop culture merchandise, board games and trading cards which are not of as much interest to me personally. Video games are now designated to a tiny section of the shop and there is only a small range.

Google Reviewer: Store was okay, it was a little crowded.A lot of items or Funko Pops did not have any prices on them, there were so many that I wanted to buy but because there was no price listed I put them back.I didn't want to be a bother and ask for multiple price checks.Clerk didn't really notice anyone or ask anyone in the store if they needed assistance. This was Friday afternoon.Some of the DVDs were over priced for something that is second hand, I went right over to the JB-Hi-Fi store and bought a Boruto DVD for $19 brand new rather than paying the $45 which this store asked for.

Sothea Lim: I went here to attend Pokemon Lost Origins Pre-release event (50$). It is held over 3 rounds, but some people will leave early because they are busy. It's still pretty fun. My only complain was the place is a bit small, and on that day magic the gathering tournament was held, so it was busy. Still, If you haven't gone to pre-release yet, why not try here for the next one? Just remember to bring your 40-60 sleeves because you have to play the card.

Pat Alston: 50% of the workers were engaging and seemed like they wanted to be there. The first time I went no one engaged me even though I wandered around the shop. The event page did not describe the event properly so I suggest confirming. For some reason that was not magic related (other card game) they shortened the sealed deck building to 30 min.

Nathan Chow: Great place and variety. Went in for some packs and ended up spinning yarns with Ivan for almost an hour. Got some yugioh packs at a great sale price and also pulled the money card from the set which was the cherry on top

As a beginner Funko Pop collector, I have made a handful of visits to the store during my breaks as I’ve sadly missed a major preorder window for new Pops… So I can’t thank Luke enough for going out of his way, checking stock and giving me estimates about when pops are expected to arrive (so I don’t have to use my breaks in vain), amongst various other things! 👍

Sam A: I had an awful experience at this shop with a middle aged, bald, potty mouthed employee who spoke obscenely to me and my friends as the customers and treated me with extreme disrespect. He swore and called us a multitude of foul slurs with an extreme level of sarcasm. Bro wasn’t even on shift💀. Reading through other reviews many customers have felt the same way so it begs the question, how has this man got away with these antics for so long without being fired. Clapped store. Despite this another employee was very apologetic and obliging but still this appalling behaviour should not be tolerated by the clear senior in the scenario.

Helena Kieton: One the staff was speaking so loud with a customer when I was there with my friend. That went on forever to the point that my friend and I weren’t not even able to communicate with each other on choosing some pop vinyl. And when we walked to the cashier to pay, I pointed this out by telling him (the cashier) that the man (who’s still talking) is speaking too loud, that’s very disturbing. The guy (cashier) completely ignored what I said, reacted to us with no personality. The worst experience ever!

My partner and i had booked our tickets after our friend was told they had sold out and she was refused tickets. Even when she came to the store she was denied a ticket. This seemed to be poor management and alot of miscommunication. She then proceeded to sit there for 3 hours with no explanation of why she couldnt join the event. We had attempted to gain some understanding but we were met with a dismissive store clerk who seemed not to care for her situation. He was unhelpful and could not justify any other explanation and repeated the same phrases multiple times. I would suggest in future being transparent with your customers so that you can avoid disputes and poor customer service.I had an awful time at the store, it was very disorganised for an event as large as this. I had no clue what all the rules were nor any attempt from the staff to explain the layout of the event. It seemed rushed and their tournament systems were down. There was no attempt to explain the structure of the event nor how prizes were distributed. There was only one person managing an event for 30 people and running the usual shop at the same time. With a large event on generally more than one person is available especially when a large event is on, in future i would suggest having more than one employee working during an event.We had items go missing, i believed they may have been stolen i made an attempt to get help from the store clerk. He said exactly "What do you want me to do?" in a dismissive tone. I had requested for security cameras to be checked in an attempt to find the missing items; they didnt offer viable help. The response to security cameras consisted of being asked to wait "a few hours" and then they would check. He wasn't helpful or understanding of the situation that i was in nor asking to take down contact details so that they could let me know as i lived a long way away. The feeling i got was that they didnt care for their customers and they were unwilling to be helpful with any strenuous situation. They suggested i search through the bins. We later found the missing items however there was no assistance from the staff member present.I feel wronged by the handling of all issues when i visited. The community was lovely and inclusive, but i would suggest meeting them anywhere but "Decked Out Gaming" because this store is the complete opposite of inclusive and lovely.I later found out from the friends that told me of the store that i had been banned for "behaviour" and leaving this bad review (which i edited to include more information). I would never return to this store and they have caused me more trouble than anyone should have to go through for receiving bad customer service.The owner of the store was less than helpful during the event which i later found out that he was present and playing in the event. There was no attempt to remedy my friends nor my situation. In fact later on it caused me more issues as they contacted my friend personally. This lead to implications in my personal life. The Business overstepped their bounds and has lead to a headache like no other.If you are going out of your way for this place just don't it's not worth the money or the time. This is my personal opinion and my personal experience; a very stressful experience.

It was only after I got home and had inserted the disc that I realised they’d charged me $45 instead of $35.I find it hard to believe this was an accident. Ultimately it’s on me for not looking at the EFTPOS machine, but we had AGREED on a lower price than what I was charged, so this felt incredibly sneaky and disingenuous.In future I’ll just go to JB or Harvey Norman, where staff don’t try to rip you off.
