Dr B.: Coming back from a dinner to hotel my children were hungry again. We ordered something from kids menu and some drinks for us. A young waiter who was also a manager in this restaurant (name starts with J) was extremely impolite. He was showing us all the time that we were not welcomed as we didn’t order food for us but only for children. He embarrassed me on several occasions with sneaky tricks and comments. This is absolutely unacceptable behaviour for such a restaurant in such a Hotel. I will never come back here again. The Marriott Hotel management should be aware of this waiter/manager. Very bad reputation.

Entree scallop with bacon seemed like it was missing something, like a garnish.I actually liked the the confit salmon trout the most.The main which was a slither of steak was missing the crème fraiche, didn’t realise until after so couldn’t ask for it. Maybe it was in there but we didn’t notice?Dessert felt lacking as well, felt like something I could pull together at home (some meringues, sorbet and berries chucked on a plate)Service was not great. Took them about 25 mins to bring out a plate with 4 pre-made chocolate things on it (petite four). I had to ask when it was coming for them to bring it out. Not only that, was never offered any ground pepper at the table but I did note some other tables did.Ambience wise they only realised the fluorescent lighting was impacting the ambience and decided to change it..at like 8pm. Felt much nicer but was too late. Not too mention that the restaurant is in the middle of a hotel lobby so people were chucking or dropping their stuff from high up and hitting the restaurant (someone’s pill/drug fell from a higher level and nearly landed on our table).Probably won’t be back, sorry.
Mohammad Rajib Uddin: Loved the place. Food was good. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was excellent. We loved the steak the jambo prawns,Macha tart,the duck and the fish. They also gave us all halal options. Most of their produces are halal. And the stuff also helped me to make sure the sauces were halal also for example they did not use alchohol.Thanks guys for making our day special. The prawn and the matcha tart is a must try. The duck and the fish were very good also, and the steak was awesome.However wasn't a big fan of the housemade cheese with baby beets and the mushroom tartar was alright. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Betty: I experienced outright discrimination towards my disabled aunt booking this restaurant in which they would not accommodate her.I made a booking for Silvester's for 3 people for the 3-course menu, and they called me to confirm. My disabled aunt is deaf, has no teeth and also has a health condition where if she overeats, she vomits. She can only eat soft foods and cannot bite or chew down hard foods. I asked for an option where if, on the night, she could not have the three course set menu to have a la carte option of smaller portions. I did not outright rule out that she could not participate in a three course meal, but we would have liked some flexibility depending on how she was feeling. If she were ok with a three course meal we would have gladly ordered that, but if, due to her disability and health condition could not stomach that much food, we would have appreciated the flexibility in offering her say, just a main course. This was rejected by the host and the manager, and they told me she must participate in a set menu, no exceptions. The excuse given was that they were recovering from covid and needed to make as much money as possible. If it were a case of meeting a minimum spend, I would have gladly made that shortfall through the purchase of beverages; however, they outright said no.My aunt's requirements are not dietary preferences. They are health and disability concerns. And my aunt wouldn't be the only one to have such issues.I do wonder, when parents bring their kids along, do they force the kids to order a 3-course adult menu knowing they can't finish it? Or an elderly couple who don't eat as much as they used to, are they too force to either have the set menu or not go at all?
R. Michael Meyers Jr.: I enjoyed myself so much I forgot to take pictures! The food was serendipitous. The wait staff was professional, courteous, and more than helpful. The Head Chef deserves to be venerated! If this is how he treats food on any regular night, he indeed deserves praise!!! I've never tasted anything so amazingly balanced. Every bite of every new course told a story, and I was on the edge of my seat until the very last morsel. Bravo, Chef!

Nicky Woo: The star Harvest buffet is a good buffet however, lack of menu and a variety of food. They have a seafood section with bountiful fresh, ready cooked seafood, including king prawns, spanner crabs, mussels, clams, fresh oysters. Other sections of the buffet are a bit disappointing. The Asian corner was very quiet with offers of menu you can find in any regular Asian takeaway restaurants, including fried rice and stir fried noodles. But there is a great variety of Desserts that would please all ages of a crowd.

Yongmoon Kwon: Went there for lunch. Paid about 90. Just had oysters (not super fresh) no raw fish sushi and sashimi. Steak wasnt good. Not many varieties.Just go to Epicurean (crown hotel buffet) with similar price. much better food and atmosphere.I think it's over priced here. Happy to pay about 60-70 for lunch just for oysters.

Great selections to choose from, lovely ambience.However, the service was atrocious, one of the girls in the bar was rude & arrogant, she screamed at us while we were waiting for our friend to arrive, she made the whole experience unpleasant! We were just walking around, looking around but according to her, we weren’t allowed, so she raised her voice at us! At least be nice, but no customer service at all! It doesn’t feel like 5 star at all!She harassed us twice, first time she screamed, second time she again gave us attitude!Our Friday was ruined because of this individual. She did not need to be rude!!But we enjoyed the food and the other staff were super delightful, only one particular girl, who just made us feel uncomfortable.I wanted to have a look at the interior, the atmosphere of the place. so, I could place a review, this left a bitter taste in my mouth.

For a ‘wine bar’ the staff were not able to provide any information on the actual wines available..3 of the main Steak options were not available (despite us being 8pm on a Saturday night) - we only found out that this was the case 15 minutes after we had already ordered the food.General standard of food was pretty poor for the price that was paid.Despite being a nice decor/venue. Lena Ang: A nice place for having lunch. The venue was huge but was quiet when we went. It’s nicely decorated with high ceiling and wine bars. We had few entrees to share. Started with oysters and kingfish ceviche. We also had steak tartare and grilled prawns. I’d recommend the oysters, very nice. Prawns wasn’t bad either. For main I had wagyu steak medium rare. It was nice but the sauce lack of punch. Also there was part of my steak that chewy, couldn’t cut it off perhaps tendon? Please order the truffle French fries. It was lovely. Unlike most of chips with sprinkle of truffles on top, the chips tasted like they’ve been infused with truffles. Very delicious and enjoyable. I’d give that 5 stars. The wine selection was a lot and our cab sav was nice companion. Our lady server was friendly, efficient and warmth with lovely smile. She made the dining experience pleasant and relaxing.

Sigrid Buela: The waiter on our side was unprofessional in answering our questions. One instance was when my husband asked him about what to order for a 3-course meal, it was our first time dining at your restaurant so we are not familiar and just making sure, that waiter responded in a rude tone with "I already told you this" before answering him. He was also sarcastic and seemed annoyed. This made our mood a bit sour as I saw a difference on how he assisted us and with the other dining customers. However, I still gave him the benefit of the doubt.Second, I saw that the customers across our table, who were celebrating a birthday as well, were given a birthday card/voucher/gift, I'm not sure what it was but the women thanked the waiter for the gift and a "Happy Birthday" was written on the card. I am not sure why my husband wasn't treated the same as I have mentioned in my booking that we are also celebrating his birthday.

The oysters were sooo tasty and so was the dessert. We weren’t really impressed when they secretly add the gratituities to the final bill which I believe to be rude as it’s up to me whether the service was deserving of a tip or not. Overall, a nice evening but I rather go to other restaurants that give the degustation experience as well such as Aria,Rockpool and Altitude.

We snagged a table right by the window, and the panoramic 360-degree views of the city skyline and the sparkling Harbour during Vivid were simply breathtaking. And guess what? They even had this cool light display cocktail and share plate that perfectly matched the vibe.Now, onto the food. She was so caring and curious about the other guests who were eating as well. she over all just seemed happy to be there. Jason Brandt: We ate breakfast here while staying at the Mercur hotel. In the early morning hours a single staff member can be seen getting bread set out, filling juice containers and eventually setting out the hot food. It is enjoyable to watch the softly lit rooms with steam rising around the copper lids of the hot serving station. This solitary early morning worker is fantastic and treated us exceptionally well. When honey replaced maple syrup for pancakes he brought the maple syrup to my 7 year old because he knew that is what she wanted. The food selections in the breakfast buffet were wonderful. Each day many items stayed the same, but a few changes occurred day to day. I loved trying new foods along with regular favorites. Our entire family (ages 84 to 4) was disappointed when we had an early morning tour and missed breakfast. Overall, starting and ending our “opposite side of the planet” holiday here was great.

Setting is nice although hard to pin into a category- had a rustic/jazz bar feel to it but more importantly generally manages to avoid the "hotel restaurant" vibe (it's based in the Mercure).Service was attentive and really enthusiastic. Food was well cooked and high quality. Restaurant was clearly following COVID precautions without being pushy or over the top.Highlight for me was the gin cocktail they had on special - really inventive. Wine pairings with the menu were good, but not outstanding.Overall would recommend for a visit and is especially good value if on a special offer.
Emily Lam: Booked for two and had an enjoyable experience up until we were served the smoke trout tartare. My partner found bones in his dish so informed one of the waitresses. She apologised and said she would let the chef know and come back to our table. Quite some time passed before she did and we were so shocked at what she said - "Sometimes you get bones but some of our customers like this... they like the crunch". I completely understand if bones are found (it's human error and inevitable) but this excuse was really absurd! Other than that, the other waitstaff were lovely and the rest of the food was fine. We wouldn't return based on our experience with this waitress and the smoked trout tartare.

Carrie Singles: My husband and I had dinner here last night. I ordered the bbq short rib as my husband had ordered it on our last visit here and thoroughly enjoyed it. When it came out I couldn’t cut into it. Some parts were ok but HALF was full of fat and grizzle. I’d left just over half and explained to our waitress why I couldn’t eat it. She also said “oh yeah I can see all grizzle and fat” she showed the chefs and their reply was that they would speak to their suppliers and they to could see that it was a bad cut of meat. I explained this on paying that I couldn’t eat it and I’d only eaten just under half. Her reply was I can’t do anything about it as you had almost half of it. She replied you should have sent it back when you got it. Ummmm how am I suppose to know how grizzly and fatty it is unless I eat some of it. She was very unhelpful and basically didn’t give a care in the world. I didn’t want a refund but maybe some kind of discount as over half was sent back. This experience and the way I was treated wasn’t acceptable . I was offered nothing and treated poorly.

I can't remember when I had a more faultless degustation dinner! From the very first course, everything was perfectly seasoned, perfectly paired and prepared. The signature dish of trout and the abalone were our favourites, but the dessert course of white chocolate with yuzu will be the one dancing on my tastebuds for a very long time with its perfect Sour sweet combination of flavours. When Tetsuya moves to its new home we will come to celebrate the new chapter, wherever and whenever that may be. But for now thank you for the memories.

Jon Magro: Been wanting to dine at Tetsuya's for many years after hearing all the hype about the venue.We have dined in many restaurants some exclusive some just local to the area, so really wanted to experience Tetsuya's.My partner booked us a table for my birthday dinner.Honestly i left Tetsuya's highly disappointed and actually felt ripped off.I understand its a high end degustation restaurant but don't understand the hype.The staff were robotic and shared no emotions.Whilst the food was tasty and well presented it wasnt worth anywhere near $300pp.I ordered a Asahi beer which was served from a bottle and was charged $14.My partner was recommended a glass of wine to pair with the Lamb, the glass of wine was charged at $45.Overall it felt like i was just lining some rich guys pocket....not an experience i will cherish.

Surprisingly, I wasn't a big fan of the famous ocean trout dish, presentation was gorgeous though.

El Aitch: Managed to get a booking at Tetsuya before they moved locations. Really enjoyed the beautiful garden view.The food was very well presented and a delightful experience for the taste buds. The sitting was a little longer than we'd hoped (3.5hrs) with a bit too much time between each course. The service was friendly but it did feel a little not genuine. But overall, it was a decent experience and I'm glad we got to try it.

My only disappointment was with the squid pasta with rice. Not a 5 star star, sub par, only thing that kept it somewhat alive were those fingerlimes. Jimmy Liang: Came with a group of friends for a dinner a few months ago. Service was attentive and flawless. We were floored by the quality of the dishes served. Expect an a la carte experience at a reasonable price point. Their menus do change seasonally, however if you do see the wagyu tartare with caviar on the appetiser menu again do yourself a favour by ordering it. A friend suggested to get their mashed potatoes and it was textbook. Reminded me of my childhood. We had to wait excessively long for our food, and even though our drinks were empty, they were not refilled.
