The Good Guys: what do users think?
Yevhen Geknay: There is a good selection and the staff will help you.
Erik Pragt: What a terrible experience was it to buy something from the Good Guys. That Good part really has no point being in their name. We ordered here so they could deliver it to our apartment, which is 3 stairs up. We communicated this with the driver. When he arrived, he refused to take the items to our apartment, and instead dropped them in our hallway. Now we have to find another way to get them in. During the ordering process there was no mention of this at all. Will never order here ever again.
Michael Zheng: Terrible service.
RoostersMan: I called them on Wednesday 24th May and said I have an e-scooter to return, this is my purchase date, it's unopened, can I return it at your store? The female admin member said that would be fine and to bring the receipt. I showed up the same day to the loading dock with my receipt and scooter in the boot of my car. I explained to the warehouse gentleman I had spoken to the front desk and they knew I was returning an e-scooter. He looked at my scooter and said we don't sell that model and he had to speak to his manager. The manager, Sandra, came out to check the scooter and asked for my docket number which I had ready to present. After checking the docket she explained that the item was sent from a different store, which I already knew. I that was the only store that had them at the time of purchase. She said we don't have that scooter in stock at this store anymore so we can't take it. I explained that I called ahead of time to ensure this wouldn't be an issue and the admin member said it was all fine. Sandra then accused me of not providing enough details over the phone to the admin team i.e. the exact model number of the scooter, and that there is NO WAY this scooter is staying at this store. I was completely taken aback by the utter disrespect by this so-called manager and the attitude she was giving to myself, a paying customer.I again explained that I had got the item delivered and did not purchase the item in-store but she was having none of it. She would not even give me any eye contact when I was explaining the situation, she was abrupt with her words and I believe she had no intentions to help me at all for whatever reasons. The store policy says if you purchase from a Good Guys store, you can return to any Good Guys store. This was literally being ignored by this Sandra individual and she treated me with disdain through her absolute disrespect and disgraceful customer service towards a customer. Throughout the conversation she would ridicule me when I misspoke to make it seem like I was discombobulated. She then told me my options were to either return it to the store of purchase, who do not sell ANY e-scooters OR take it to the store that sent it out. Sandra made it very clear that the item could not be returned at the Alexandria store for any reason. I asked for her name and got back into the car and drove off. I cannot believe that a manager employed by the Good Guys could be as narcissistic as Sandra is.Absolute disgraceful customer service, I will not be back.
Arthur A Nelson: The worst experience we order a fridge we give them full information of the delivery we never where inform of delivery wondow no sms prior to delivery we cancel the order we will never go back to this store will notrecomended waiting to getoney back
Antony Makar: When walking into Good Guys Alexandria I was planning on buying a fridge and was supported by two workers under the name of Adam and Mark. They were both very kind and had great communication skills and really displayed their knowledge of the store. Both these workers showed me a variety of features that stemmed from all the different brand of fridges and made my decision making much easier. Both these workers were amazing help and can’t thank them enough for their support .
arnob das: #BeingcheatedbyGoodGuys#LookingforsuggestionsI purchased $3078 products from GOOD GUYS on feb 2/2/23. I got the products 6 days later. The people’s installed the products next day. The problem i found is their dryer machine. As I was used dryer machine so it was not spinning from the first day. I didn’t pay attention. In the March 6th one of brother camer to my place and that time some cloths on the dryer he said to me there is a problem in the dryer machine because its not spinning and stopped. So its should be in motion. That time i realized and called the Good Guys ‘Alexandria’. One lady replied they will send the guy for repair. But they didn’t. Everytime i called them and they said they will. In this month i called them 6-7 times every week. One guy name Adnan received the call and told me i got your ‘Frustration’ its not our hand and the manufacture guys will do it blah blah. Then today the repair person came to place and he said the machine have huge problem and inside of the machine cable is disable. So I called the Good Guys. The same Guy Adnan revived the phone and I said everything and asked for replacement and he told me it’s not their concern. I had to buy extra paid guarantee card from them and I have wait from manufacture company. It’s not their hand. I said I don’t know about this and he said good guys can’t do anything. I called manufacturer company several times and good guys customer service and they don’t pick up calls. It’s one kind of cheating.
Paxus Luna G: We came to Good Guys Alexandria after walking out of The Bad Guys in Tempe. So glad we came here. Professional, no pressure advice. Really good service, happy friendly staff. Some good deals to be had.
L L: The sales guy was quite good and it was relatively quick chat to finalise the price and place the order for a washer and dryer as we have done a bit of price search before hand. The delivery however was a total disappointment. We initially booked for delivery on Tuesday and got a confirmation even the day before. But it never arrived and upon calling them twice (they won’t pick up if you choose the delivery option and you have to go to general enquiry), they explained the assigned delivery guy simply refused to take the job as the product was too heavy. It’s such a joke how the jobs were assigned and managed.Rebooked the delivery for following weekend and it worked out ok.
Sogand Kamani: The delivery team is a nightmare. We purchased a washing machine and was told that it will be delivered and installed the day after. Next day the delivery guy came but refused to install and said my paper only shows delivery. We called the store and they said someone will come tomorrow. Tomorrow comes no one shows up and we call again, we were told someone will come tomorrow. This continues until 6 days later and still no show. The technician comes close to the house based on the text message and suddenly cancels the job. No one is taking responsibility and has no idea what is happening. Very bad experience
Jonah Le Comte-Moevao: In our recent experience with Good Guys Alexandria, we purchased their Premium Delivery service for the delivery of a washing machine. However, our satisfaction with the service was quickly overshadowed by a concerning incident. Despite our explanation that our 6-month-old son was asleep, the driver demanded that my wife come downstairs without providing any explanation. Consequently, my wife and child were left standing on the street with nothing to do, while the driver proceeded to unbox our machine on the main road, displaying a lack of care and professionalism expected of a "premium service". The driver's behavior resulted in our new washing machine being covered in dirt and having a chip in the paint. As a premium service, we expected a higher level of care and respect towards our family and property. While our in-store experience was much better, the experience during the delivery process left us feeling dissatisfied with the service provided. We understand that the delivery company is a third party hired by Good Guys, but we cannot help but question if this is the standard expected by the company's representatives. We would appreciate knowing how Good Guys ensures that its delivery drivers treat customers and their property with the utmost care and respect, especially when dealing with third-party delivery companies. Additionally, we believe that Good Guys should provide more information to customers about what to expect during the delivery process to avoid any confusion or misunderstandings. We urge Good Guys Alexandria to re-evaluate its delivery protocols and training, as well as to hold its third-party delivery companies accountable to the same level of care and professionalism expected of the company's representatives. We hope that this report will help Good Guys Alexandria provide a high level of customer service, which is expected of a premium service.
Brendan Mulcahy: Stood around waiting for someone to offer assistance for 15 minutes. Not a single person came to ask if I needed help. Go upstairs to bing Lee and actually have people to offer service or allow you to buy something
julian fung: I ordered an item to be delivered and opted for the premium delivery which costs $85, this was booked a week in advance to when I wanted the item to arrive, I took that day off so I could take delivery, 5 minutes before the window of delivery time was due to end, I called the customer service line to ask whether or not the delivery was going to happen to which they assured me it would happen but would be late, I was fine with this because this is the nature of these services. I waited a little while longer and got a txt saying my delivery was a minute away, this was followed by another txt saying that the delivery was unsuccessful. I had ordered this for a birthday present. My work hours are very unpredictable and now I am left without the item a paid for and wasted a days pay.I tried to re book for next day, but it appears that their policy doesn't account for people who have been left in the lurch (and out of pocket for lost work hours), a minimum of 2 days was the best they could offer.Good Guys? Doesn't feel so good right now.
Alper Arslan: I got a fridge and washing machine from here. In store everything was good but delivery and installation was a nightmare. Anc deliveries delivered the goods and John from this company(I doubt if he gave me his right name) was super rude. He didn’t want to install the washing machine. First he told me the washing machine won’t fit there and he has no time to deal with it. Then I made the machine fit. He didn’t want to fit the pipes saying it wont reach to the tap. It did. He gave me the tools and said you do it then. I asked them to leave my house if they won’t be helpful at all. Then he tried a bit but it was definitely too late. Literally the worst experience I have ever had with a delivery guy. Definitely not recommending this company at all.
A G: Ordinary customer service and a poor attitude for a simple little request
Garry -: Thanks to Ankit for his professional service and advice. He helped me choose the best TV for my situation even though it did cost more LOL. I'm very happy with buying from their store.
Shirley He: Great experience with exchanging faulty product. Without a question, offered me ' exchange or refund'. Great customer service. Impressed.
Adnan Syed: I visited today and was served by one of the greatest salesperson I have ever met, SUHAS K. Highly recommended for all your appliance needs especially TVs. 2 thumbs up Suhas!
Sandra: We had the best experience with Ahmed. He is so helpful and we now drive out of our way just to purchase through him even though we have a closer store nearby
Christy Tesoriero (Dinky826): Customer service is nonexistent. Nobody takes ownership of an error they have made & follows through on promises to fix it. I am a patient person but after 24 days of trying to get an answer, I have simply given up. I am sure this what they hope their customers will do & the business keeps your money. Don’t waste your time & money, shop elsewhere.
Veronica Atley: Very rude and aggressive delivery drivers - refused to wait 5 min to allow us to make the gate wider - just left with the goods. Don't be alone when they arrive. Store Manager at Alexandria had to be chased up and was non-plussed over the whole thing - Cancelled the order and Harvey Norman got the sale.

Martec Australia - Ceiling Fans & Lighting: what do users think?
Michael Dance: Remote receivers wiring harness and plugs not compatible with the fans plugs and harness and the online wholesaler on selling retailer said it’s not their issue and to sort with Martec then advised by Martec to cut the plugs and hardwire them with a licensed sparky even though they are advertised to being simple plug in accessories? Not very professional for a big brand product?Curious if anyone else has had the same experience?Just adds more complexity and cost to install so be aware?Hope the fan and light actually work okay once rectified?I would prefer a refund especially now reading all the very poor negative reviews and the misleading false advertising about the plug and play set up?Unbelievable really? When do you buy something new and have to modify it to make it work? Really?
Anthony Busby: Significant Safety Concern - Martec Albatross 84"Our Martec Albatross 84” DC fan fell, without warning from our nearly 5 meter high ceiling and crashed to the floor below. Thankfully at the time there was no one underneath it. If there was, it could have severely injured them, if not, killed them!Customer service has been dismal and Martec Australia are refusing to compensate us for the cost of the fan. Will never buy another Martec product again!
Max Gore: What a dud of a product this was...Was given a brand new Martec Lifestyle 52" DC ceiling fan.First few months it worked fine like it should then after that, it did everything but work. I have 3 other brands of fans in my house ( Fanco, Claro, Milano ) and they are still going strong.Even the remote control is backwards...No.1 is the fastest setting and No.5 is the slowest ???Save you money and time and buy another brand. The only thing this fan would be good for is landfill.
CCSE CCSE: I recently bought a square flow 240 bathroom exhaust fan for our small ensuite. It was to replace an old airflow brand. The unit does not extract all of the steam from the ensuite, and it's not the middle of winter using hotter water. I called the supplier who offered an exchange just in case, but if it is the same after replacement, then it is just the way it works, basically bad luck. I believe that it is the unit itself as it definitely is functioning correctly, just not as good as an old fashioned clipsal exhaust fan. Whilst it looks nice and modern, it doesn't perform as it should. I will be removing it and installing a different make and model.
Zainab Aziz: Hello,I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU for the warranty replacement. I am so relieved it was so professional, easy and quick job. We havnt had much luck during these renovations so this really made my day. Zack had already replaced it when I got home, so I'm over the moon that's one of my stresses sorted out.Thank you Martec, for such a speedy and amazing service. You really have a good sparky on your books, this guy deserves a 👏
Nicholas Williams: Unhelpful Customer service for warranty query, for something as menial as a replacement bathroom light cover there was no alternate options provided for the model year or any other suggestions. It was a 'sort it yourself or buy a new one' answer.
Monica O'Hare: EXPLODING BATHROOM FAN/HEATER IS ALMOST USELESS BUT EXPENSIVEIn August I purchased a Linear Mini Extraction Fan with LED Heater for my bathroom from Martec. My electrician installed it but it was faulty, the fan turned on/off every few seconds when the heat lamp was turned on. Finally the lamp overheated and exploded, tripping the fuse and switching off all the lighting in my unit. Despite many calls/emails from myself and my electrician to Martec when the problem first occured the company insisted that the product was fine. It was only after the lamp exploded that they agreed to replace it. After waiting two months a new heater was installed this week. The fan still turns on after the heat lamp warm up, which realistically extracts heat directed into the bathroom too. I wish I had purchased an older-style heat lamp in the first place, would have been more efficient and certainly cost me a lot less in terms of money and wasted time. I'm just hoping this replacement product isn't also faulty.
CNR Reception: Bought 10 Zodiac fans for my new house. In the fan catalogues for 2020 and 2021, it mentioned that this fan has up to 8 hour timer function but in realty it does not have timer function. When I contacted Martec about this issue they said it is misprint and refused to do anything. Misprint can happen in one year's catalogue but it is there in two years catalogues. This fan is still advertised on many online websites as having timer function. This is clearly a misleading advertisement. ACCC should take note of this. I wish I could give zero stars.
Frisky Le Rouge: Just a really sad product that isn’t backed up by any support. I no longer have the app on my iPhone to use remotely. I’ve called up so many times over the last 2.5 years and you always get the same story. ‘We are redeveloping the app and it’s not available atm’. I spoke to someone today and mentioned that exact phrase and she said that’s impossible they took the app down only a few months ago. Don’t buy one, spend extra and get quality. A seriously poor spend. You’ve been warned. Only got one star because you have to give one to write a review.
Samuell Astbury: Tried getting replacement led bulbs that are martec branded (all others were not the right size)Was met by karen saying the dont sell to the public?Zero help, poor customer serviceCurrently looking at other brands at bunnings and will install one with a different company. Thanks for no help what so ever.
Derek Gentile: AVOID!We purchased 7 fans with remote kits and installed in our house. We have had nothing but problems with the remotes, they consistently stop working, we've also had one of the led fan lights stop working. All this in under 12 months and martec are refusing to come and repair the light. Martec came out to inspect and are now trying to charge us for there faulty products. We have also incurred significant expense of getting electrician to come and inspect to verify that the martec parts are at fault. All please avoid this company the parts are faulty and if they do come and repair they will try and blame it on you and charge for it which is disgraceful.Martec as per my many emails feel free to provide me with replacement remote kits that aren't faulty and come and replace my light that's stopped working.
Oscar Merino: I bought 4 units of albatross ceiling fan for my shop. I had a problem with the installation… but the customer service of Martec guide me and everything went good.Works amazing!👏🏻
k tenger: They just manufacture cheap poorly built and engineered products. Our fan couldn't extract the steam and water Water wrecked the Led light underneath twice, water pooled on the floor and damaged the ceiling. Electrician checked twice and found nothing wrong with install. They refused to talk about warranty and asked us to tamper with the product and remove a part while still under warranty! The product is not fit for purpose, they will not honor stated warranty.I'm hoping it's not an Aussie ran company because the way they act is Un AustralianNo integrity company.STAY AWAY
Vanessa: Purchased 5 Martec ceiling fans and 4 remotes from local supplier. 1 remote has decided to stop working - yes it is out of warranty of course (only just) so rang Martec hoping for some sort of troubleshooting tips but support weren't interested in helping at all, offered no suggestions apart from you will need to purchase a new remote and have it installed by an electrician! Will not buy Martec products again.
Jess Crockett: We have a number of fans/lights from this company and at least three have failed and now won't turn on (nothing but a 'click' noise), remotes work selectively or not at all. Definitely wired correctly and from what I can tell they are just a dodgy product.
Richard Brand: The plastic fan on our 3-in-1 bathroom ceiling unit has cracked. Amazingly Martec do not seem to have or supply spare parts. Would have to buy a complete unit! Suspect this breaches the Australian Consumer Law. Stay away from Martec
Wolf Hoffmannbeck: If I could give them no stars I would. I ordered 3 led lamps for my bathroom unit as no one else had them. They were quite expensive but the worst part was they put them in a box with no packing, the box could have held at least 24 of these lights, so they were just rattling around in it, and they charged me $34 postage!!! Even the local Post Office operator said I had been overcharged as they have a contract with A.Post and get their postage MUCH cheaper. Do not buy Martec, their products and after sales service is rubbish.
Jaspreet Bains: I wish I had read the reviews. I bought 5 fans and one faulty out of the box. Rang 3 times and got the run around. Still waiting for a resolution avoid the brand. They will Blame your installation and get you to check trivial items even though you have had qualified electricians come out twice at your own expense. the cost of your own tradies far outweigh the original purchase so who wins . Nobody.
Jason Thompson: We Purchased three Martec 3 in one Countour 2 units for our place. After 7 months the fan stopped working in one. We tried to claim under warranty however Martec tried to make this process as prohibitive as possible. Offering to send an electrician out at the potential cost of more than the units initial cost to take a look. Asking if the switches were their product in an attempt to void warranty, even though the electrician says the switch has nothing to do with the performance of the fan.If you looking for a reliable product backed by a decent warranty keep looking.
Petar Kostovski: The best in the business. Quality products, great service and great pricing.
George Drakatos: Great range of ceiling fans, exhaust fans and lights. Great Value and Quality.

Lights2you: what do users think?
Nicholas Miller: Great items and customer service was amazing. Had some small issues were quick to get back to me and fix. Corey was fantastic!
Stephen Redfearn: Plenty of choice and quality light fittings.
Sudhir Kumar: Nice, good collection of lights.
Mike Absell: The range and advice was amazing. We have been struggling to find the right lights for our new house and hit the jackpot here. Thank you
Janine Menday: It has been an awful experience with this company. Not recommended at all. We bought a light less than two years ago under warranty. It is faulty but they are asking us to buy the new one at a new expensive price then they will refund it. Or bring the old one before giving us the new light and expecting us to shoulder the electrician fee who will come out twice to take off light and replace when it is not our fault we were sold a faulty light fitting. It is utterly ridiculous. We drove all the way out to the seven hills shop and the guy did not do anything to solve or help us. It is very unprofessional. Not a good company policy.
Michael O'Donovan: Fantastic service and knowledge about my needs and what lights should go where. I also run landscaping business and great advice with all of the questions I have
Wendy Ung: I'm very happy with my purchase today, good prices and awesome customer service, I'm 100% be back.
Cleo Fernandez: Thank you Eric ! You take care of your customer ! You even go over an above, the house looks much better and more vibrant ! I would recommend anyone with lighting needs to shop here ! You wont regret it !
Grigor Voskanian: Lovely shop with amazing collection of lights, great customer service will highly recommend to visit showroom.
Anthony Beggs: Only customers in the shop and we were completely ignored for 5 minutes by two staff members who were busy talking amongst themselves. We were looking at lights directly infront of them a few meters from them. We made several attempts to get their attention. We've gone to another lighting shop to buy all of the lights for a full house renovation.Several thousand dollars just walked out of their shop.
Michele Mudali: Wonderful shopping experience! Eric is personable, knowledgeable and gave good advice on lighting needs for my home. It can be rather overwhelming with the multiple options available but Eric narrowed it down for me and I was out of the store with 4 ceiling lights I am incredibly happy with within 45mins. I highly recommend Lights2you for their exceptional customer service
Romel Tatosian: Amazing staff and great service highly recommend lights 2 you for your lighting and fan selections amazing range to choose from
Megha Mohan: Located in 2 levels, this store has a great collection of lights, chandeliers, clocks, etc. The light we selected was not available in stock, but the staff helped place an order. The order was ready even before the due date, and the process was smooth. The staff even delivered the order to the boot. Overall, it was a great experience.
Aj Aj: This store rips big time, bought oyester light which had a marked price of $89.95. Same light you can purchase in Auburn light shop (OMG light) for $55. The rep in store she is so rude when I want to return the goods. Once cashed in they not going to give it back, poor customer service, never returning to this store ever.
Lovett D'Souza: Excellent customer service and great selection of quality lights
Ashraf Kandil: Nice variety, friendly staff
Nadia Alameddine: Everytime I go in there the staff are too busy to speak with me and the older lady Alina behind the desk is always irritated that you interrupted her.I asked for a very bright LED oyster light for my kitchen. The sales consultant showed me a few and then insisted that the one she recommended was the best for me.When my electrician installed it, I found that I had to flip the switch 3 times before it gets to 100% brightness. Dimmable was NEVER spoken about and the consultant did not tell me I would have to flip the switch 3 times everyday consistently to get it bright. When I emailed the store they explained it was dimmable and that's just how it works. I asked to return it and they refused.Very disgusting that they had this attitude when clearly their sales consultant just wanted to hurry the sale and get me out the door.I always try to support local business but I'd never shop here again.
Louis Frade: Good choice at competitive prices
ChrysAposB: What a great experience and amazing customer service!!! We had visited many lighting shops and spent hours searching online for our newly built house lights. We bought the consultation package and we had Corey coming over to discuss our ideas and make the right selection of our lights for every space. We used also one of the recommended electricians who delivered an excellent job! Corey and the team were very supportive and helpful in every step even when we tangled the cords in the 3 ring LED pendant light they tried to fix it and finally they provided us a new one with instructions on how to unpack it without having the same problem. Thank you!!!
Puneet Jaiswal: They dont keep enough either stock or even samples. Wanted me to check online and buy. Why would one drive all the way to the store to be told that check online and place an order. I can do that on ebay at half the price. Disappointed.
