The ADHD Clinic Sydney: what do users think?
Christopher Greenough: Needed a fresh diagnosis as had no paper work or evidence to support that I do in fact have ADHD and was diagnosed as a child. The process to get this diagnosis was pretty expensive but that's just how it is I guess, the process as a whole was straight forward and simple to do. There was three evaluations to do myself and one for my wife to do, the feedback was given via a online video call and the Dr was great. Also Ana who I communicated with throughout the process via email was a truly refreshing professional!!! Great communication and friendly. Keep up the good work. Thank you
Kamraan Wearne: Waited all year for a phone appointment, they never called. Can't even manage a simple intake call.We went elsewhere and found much better service and care.
Craig Pemberton: Called up for advice/help and got shunned by a rude man. First impressions are everything...
Gemma Kennedy: Absolutely disgusting behaviour so RUDE and unhelpful
Andrea Brown: Very thorough and very caring. Glad I came to Sydney to this clinic and well worth the time and money. Above and beyond my experiences elsewhere.
Gemima Romano: Very thorough and so many treatment options available for ADHD. 5 stars for being so unique and up to date with the latest technologies and therapies and offering more than just pills.
D.R. Q.: Ridiculous clinic that will not treat neurological problems with much-needed medication for those with adolescent or adult ADHD. They want you to believe that you can do all sorts of things (wasting your time) such as mindfulness training to get over a neurological disorder. They give you lots of hope that they have the answers but the reality is that they take you for a ride to get as much money out of you as they can by offering "solutions" that do not help in the long run but only assist temporarily. Then the person with ADHD fails again and is left feeling frustrated. The truth is that there are people with ADHD that legitimately need medication to help with impulsivity control and they are making a killing by telling you that you don't need it and there are other ways around it. They are laughing all the way to the bank while those with ADHD continue to suffer because they refuse to give them real nuerological treatment. Beware of this place!!! Please see a real psychiatrist not affiliated with this program.
Ariyeh Mo: Great ADHD Clinic. They put together a very detailed treatment program for my daughter without medication. She completed both the neurofeedback and executive management programs and her whole life has done a 360. I had never even heard of neurofeedback before this and I wanted to write this review to say that if you have ADHD neurofeedback is well worth trialling.

MY ADHD CENTRE (Sydney International ADHD Centre) for Adults and Kids: what do users think?
Antonio Puglisi: Imagine studying medicine so you can exploit the vulnerable
Daniel Longmore: Absolutely the worst experience I have ever encountered dealing with mental health
Christine May Delos Santos: Dr Chamilka's secretary , Joey, really terrible in handling calls and appointments. She should know better as she works for the Dr.Not listening to your concern and what you were saying. End of the call, she will even blame you as if she listened to you. Had 2 encounters with her before and both negative. She insisted that our 1st consultation would be via zoom mtg, to my surprise her colleague called us few days brfore the appointment saying that zoom mtg is not possible for a 1st time mtg with the doctor (which totally makes sense). She must show enthusiasm or interest as well on the phone.
Kirsti: I approached the clinic because I had an awful experience with another Psychiatrist who left me in tears and didn't want to work with me. I'm so grateful to have found the ADHD Centre, it's obvious it's their speciality. They even phoned AND emailed me the day after my second consult to book another one, so I wouldn't feel anxious about having to do it or possibly forgetting to do so. They have an online portal and send lots of reminders, which really helps considering the nature of the condition. You can even do video consults, that helps with being on time too.Dr O'Rourke is so kind and compassionate. I didn't feel any judgement sharing shameful experiences of my life that were directly related to my symptoms with Dr. O'Rourke, he was able to extrapolate what was symptomatic and did so with courtesy, respect and professionalism. The treatment has involved education about the medication, as well as setting SMART goals and reflecting and monitoring symptoms for improvement - which I think is a great hybrid approach, rather than just "here's the meds, see you in a month."I have also been talking with Leah, Joy and the other team members in Reception and they are just lovely.Highly recommend this team and clinic.
Nate: Whilst you may not believe every google review out there. If you suffer from Alexithymia or CPTSDDO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOROROUKE more harm then healing. Actually no healing. A traumatic experience after $1600
earcl: Overall experience was great, i got multiple notifications about my appointment so I didn't forget about it.Dr Steven Hook was patient, understanding, empathetic and made the process as smooth as it could possibly be, I wish the rest of the process like getting a referral ect went as smooth as the service from adhd centre
George: Highway robbery. They want $800 for an initial 20 minutes phone consultation and minimum 2-3 sessions. I explained I had been diagnosed with ADHD in Victoria and showed them my referrals and took them over two weeks to respond that they would still charge me these rates. Waste of time and you're better off with a specialist who isn't chasing the cash.
Violeta Smilevski: Really helped me through getting my diagnosis and my focusing.
Athe Arifin: Dr O’Rourke prepared well before the appointment, he gave an accurate assessment at the end of consultation, he is very gentle & passionate doctor, I received my script on my first consultation. The clinic fee is not cheap but with doctors’ expertise in ADHD you do not need to see them often to get the right dosage, so you actually save money & time. Receptionists team are helpful , I get what I need immediately. I’m glad I found this clinic.
Yeah Okay: To be honest I’m looking to change from here. Good luck booking in if you didn’t book in 4+ months in advance. It’s honestly ridiculous the wait times at this joint. Also, the psych is not very friendly and I feel he’s reluctant to help you if it’s not profitable to him. The pricing is pretty steep too, I hadn’t seen the psych in a while because he gave bridging scripts, this meant that I had to pay an initial consultation fee again. Like why??? I’ve already been consulted!!!
Jim Shore: It's so hard to find mental help right now, don't waste time here! Management seem only focused on money, and feels like they exploit your vulnerability and charge you xtra before breaking promises made during the sessions.
Sophia Lacey: AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! After my last appointment in which I left in emotional distress, I've decided this is not the right practice for me (I gave it a good chance). I don't feel that they provide a safe practice for vulnerable people, or that the compassion needed to treat patients with psychiatric needs is available through the practice.Dr Caetano threatened to drop me as a patient in our last appointment (because I asked him to apologise for being late, and he refused and then made me apologise for asking him to apologise), in which he said I would be "paying $1000 to get re-assessed" to try to manipulate my behaviour into being one he favoured. Pushing a patient to tears and sitting there with zero empathy, offering to prescribe SSRI's after making someone cry, particularly when working with neurodiverse patients, should be a crime.I would also like to add that Dr Caetano tried to prescribe me anti-psychotics for what turned out to be a Vitamin B-12 deficiency. Two incidents of incorrect prescribing if you're counting.I urge you to go seek out another practice before consider this one, even if it's to compare the price difference ($800 vs $300).I'm finding a new doctor, and you should too.
Blaize Toland: Appalling service. I have been charged 3 times in a row for the ‘ first assessment fee’ of $570. I don’t need to be diagnosed with adhd twice a year. The last time I saw dr caetano he refused to speak longer than 10 minutes. You are telling me I’m paying $570 for 10 minutes ?! I even brought up some concerns and he completely dismissed them. The receptionist said she sent me reminder emails for appointments , but I’ve checked my email, there are none. The receptionist is disorganised, I asked them once to send a letter to my gp, and it was sent to a completely random gp. What on earth are we paying for ?
khedr Almandrawi: Life changing, dr caetano is the reason to be optimistic. The centre screams professionalism, specialities and patient care (thank you for the reminders ) worth every dollar
Leila: Seriously the worst booking system. I’ve had to call them and then go online and call them back and go online and wait for a phone call that never came over and over again. Don’t they know people wanting adhd diagnoses can’t do that very easily?!? If I didn’t already get dexies from friends I would not have had the ability to book in here.
Hilde Schuurman: Dr Caetano's is excellent and I have been with him for the last couple of years, however the overall centre is very money focussed. The receptionist gets straight to the point. Was asked to pay 50% up front for the TeleHealth- appointment for a script repeat (yes, this is normal practice), however when you haven't seen Dr Caetano's over the last 6 months you need to pay an extra allowance on top of this. I was told that I was sent a text message last year reminding me of booking an appointment, which I didn't get as I was overseas. Cool, my bad, however why do I need to pay extra money for not making an appointment on time?Moving on...Dr Caetano's is booked out until June and was offered to see another psychiatrist, however this would be $800 as another assessment needed to be done. I said that I didn't have that kinda money and I asked how to do this as I need my medication between now and June and I explained that I'll be overseas and can't make an appointment until mid-July. I was told they could not do much for me, the only option was to put me on the cancellation list, however I still needed to book an appointment, including payment in order to be put on the cancellation list. This is an ADHD centre, assisting people with ADHD.....our minds can be a little over over the shop, hence we can forget to schedule an appointment. Totally understand a couple of months waiting time, totally understand I need to see someone else when Dr Caetano is not available, but don't put a price tag on everything.
Ashleigh Perry: While it looks like dr Caetano is good, the rest of it isn't if your going for an adhd assessment dont go through dr o rourke you pay $400 up front just to book the appointment then you pay another $400 before even seeing the psychiatrist. I went for an adhd assessment to be told I was lazy, it was probably a bad character trait and that being on 50mg wasn't even a therapeutic amount of zoloft so there wasn't anything wrong with me. When I received my report my personal history was wrong the person he described wasn't even me I asked for a refund they won't give me one so I'm taking it further, I left my appointment in tears.
Khadar Omar: The best doctor and professional One to see .. giving you the best medicine ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇦🇺
Nadzieja Kupala: I have been seeing Dr Caetano for the past 2,5 years. After years of searching I was finally diagnosed with ADHD and supported to find the right medication that works for me.I was also supported when I needed evidence for my partnership visa application. I wouldn't have submitted my evidence on time without his support.Dr Caetano is a great listener. He wholeheartedly welcomes and answers questions about the treatment.Dr Caetano's receptionists are amazing as well. They remind me of my appointments and I called them in the past when I had questions about my prescription. My online enquiry was missed once, but when I called up I received support. :)I have recommended Dr. Caetano to my friends and family who were pursuing an ADHD diagnosis.
Craig Farrell: I have struggled as an adult with ADHD, and to be honest from as far back as I remember as a kid also. Dr Dorgival Caetano is compassionate and caring, that to my understanding provides a service that is unmatched in the current market, some doctors are a endless money pit with no results, with this Dr from the first consultation day I was prescribed and on the road to better lifeHe is knowledgeable about all aspects of this disorder and knowing that the staff at reception are willing to help on short notice is also handy. The change on my work attitude, commitment and accuracy has been something that has caused me to gain permanent employment within 6 months (this was during peak covid period)I went from being attention-spanless to being able to accurately pick above and beyond the companies expectations with accuracy.I was always worried about the effects on being medicated as an adult but having the knowledge Dr Dorgival has no matter your doubts I personally would recommend to anyone, any age with ADHDThanks for helping me have a great outcome
Anthony Nedanoski: Great team and Dr. Caetano is incredibly compassionate, caring and understanding.

Sydney City Psychology: what do users think?
Pedro Gomes: Really enjoyed my time and business with Sydney city psychology from the admin to the staff. The admin were very helpful in advising my GP (who didn’t know) how to fill out a MH plan for group therapy, educating her kindly about my eligibility. I did an ADHD course with Aspasia who was really kind, helpful, knowledgeable, inclusive and all round great communicator. Really liked my experience.
Sean Lawrence: A very good place to go.
emma whelan: I cannot recommend these guys more highly. Cassandra and Emily must be commended for helping run things so smoothly. I’ve worked one-on-one with Natalie and it has really been a transformative experience. I have learned so much about myself and she has supported me skilfully through some rough transitions with care, empathy and humour. I’ve also participated in the online group course “calm in the storm” with Carly who was excellent. It was wonderful - I learned really useful, practical and workable strategies. The group dynamic was great - warm, supportive and great rapport. Thanks for all you do SCP ♥️
Rachael Waters: Highly recommended for workplace workshops, they did an amazing job for my team.
J N: I had a great experience with psychologists at Sydney City Psychology, they helped me better understand my ADHD and I gained lifelong skills to maintain my mental health. Highly recommend.
Nicholas Gray: Have had a great experience and met with many accomplished and helpful counsellors and services. Very professional and comfortable settings, backed with very current evidence based approaches. Definitely would recommend.
Edward Lonsdale: Super professional and helpful. Would recommend to anyone in need of a highly qualified and top notch psychologist! 5 stars!
Rose West: Highly recommend Sydney City Psychology for both ADHD group and individual sessions. My experience over the last 12 months has been amazing. Thanks
Christian Bonett: My experience with the clinic has been very professional, caring and considerate. The adult ADHD program has provided me with fantastic strategies to improve focus at work and life in general. I highly recommend the clinic and all their practitioners.
Fiona Lavan: I went to see Natalie after the death of my husband. I didn't want pity, just practical solutions to navigate my way through the grief. I can't recommend Natalie enough - she was great!
Emily Maguire: Natalie is a caring and highly competent psychologist. Only good things to report about this practice. They put patients needs as the top priority. I really felt looked after.
Edward SR: They charge to much for what they do. They just rock up and deliver the most basic strategy that you’d expect from a highschool counsellor. The things I’m reading far superseded the Knowledge of my psychologist. My sessions were being cut short when I thought the counsellor was using a technique called an “enactment” . The psychologist answer was no I just felt we achieved enough that day. Completely careless behaviour from someone who should know better. They shouldn’t be called psychologist because the level is that of Counsellors , stay away and get a counsellor for a third the price.
Mohamed Ali: This practice puts profits before patients.
Sian Carmichael: Cannot recommend this place enough! From the very first phone call with the lovely Cassandra I knew I was talking to the right people. She helped me decide who would be the most suitable person for my needs and requirements. She matched me with Alexander who has been so understanding. If you are looking for a psychologist definitely give them a call!

Sydney Cognitive Development Centre: what do users think?
Chuan: Adam is very rude and unhelpful.I’ve been playing phone tag with these people all day who don’t answer phones or reply to emails.I made an enquiry weeks ago and have been told I was put on a wait list. Finally get a standard reply outlining fees and the process, I followed the instructions in the email but clearly Adam hasn’t bothered reading this and instead starts asking me questions I’ve already answered. This process is extremely stressful for anyone trying to understand what might be happening in the world.Unprofessional.
Mary Storch: The team at SCDC have been kind, accommodating & professional. They have helped our family to function more positively & healthily. I'm grateful to them for their personalised, flexible care.
Caitlin Savins: I was worried that I would be negatively perceived for coming into the centre with self diagnosed autism, but instead I felt very welcomed.I was seen by Dr Shelley Hyman - I felt the assessment process was very thorough and I never felt like I didn't know what was going on. She was very validating and patient, and didn't rush me through the assessment whatsoever. The centre was also kind enough to let me incrementally pay off my assessment in the lead up - this was an absolute lifesaver. I wouldn't have been able to afford it otherwise. So happy to finally have the slip of paper giving me access to the supports I've always needed.
Andrea Brown: Great place, good team, thorough. Very relieved to have found this centre in Sydney and well worth the travel!
Gemima Romano: Amazing, caring and compassionate.
Patticake Patticake: Neurofeedback changed my life. Well worth a try to see if it works for you. After years of feeling tired and depressed, this was like a wake up to my brain. Wish I did it years ago when I first heard about it!
Lusi Wong: Unprofessional services just cut service without notice and charge more then NDIS agreement. Not recommended at all. ! Event not provide a final report. Paying service for nothing.Name and shame!!
Kiri Weller: I have a child with Asperger's style autism and ADHD. In chatting with a mum at my child's school one day they said their friend's child who was like mine had benefited from going to Sydney Cognitive Development Centre. Sydney Cognitive Development Centre changed our lives. After approximately six months of neurofeedback at Sydney Cognitive Development Centre my child was able to halve their Concerta dose used to manage their ADHD and halve their melatonin dose used to assist them to sleep. Everything else improved as well. Their sleep improved as did their behaviour. Their smile became more natural and their concentration and sense of humour improved also. I am truly grateful to Shelley and her team at Sydney Cognitive Development Centre as they have forever improved our lives.
Nadine Blackman: . If you are in Sydney this is a great option and I know that they offer therapy to people all around the world as when I was in England last year I continued with my therapy on Skype. I just want to put it out there that medication isn't the only answer and it made me feel so depressed. Don't give up!!!

Child Development Clinic: what do users think?
Peta Mathews: I cannot recommend this service highly enough. As might be the case for many families, we approached this service as a family struggling to cope with, and understand, our child but desperately wanting to help them. From the moment I contacted the clinic, I was handled with respect, compassion, terrific communication and efficacy. On the day of our appointment, our child felt welcomed and safe as soon as we arrived. It was a long day, with exhaustive levels of investigation and evaluation all under the one room, but my child was engaged by every member of staff at every point, right from the helpful and friendly staff at reception, to the very engaging psychologist, and all other members of the team. I was particularly appreciative of our paediatrician (Dr Yeoh) who took a lot of time to get to know our child. She was respectful, empathic and very thorough. She really took her time to understand our child. At the end of the day, we met with her again so she could pull together all of the pieces of information the team had gleaned (so sanity-saving to have this done all under the one roof). Her communication was clear, patient and thorough. She explained diagnoses very clearly and in a positive way. Our concerns were never trivialised and I can tell our child felt heard and seen. We had ample time to ask (a lot) of questions, even with a waiting room full of people outside. I have had to contact the clinic with questions since, and they have always promptly been dealt with. When we received the clinic's report (and we were advised there would be a wait for this), it arrived when we expected it and it was very comprehensive. It was pages of information about every aspect of our child's assessment which has proved a valuable resource for us as parents as well as our GP, and the other allied health practitioners our child is involved with. The report also contained a huge number of resources we could access to continue to learn and help our child.I had done my research and knew that getting an appointment with any developmental paediatrician involved a lengthy wait as obviously there are a lot of kids who need assessment, and it is so specialised, but this experience has been so positive for our family and our child. We have a pathway of understanding and treatment options that we did not know were possible. An outstanding wholistic service! So grateful!
C C: Exorbitant costs and a big brother attitude towards communicating with patients. The initial appointment will cost you around $1600 with a Medicare rebate of $231.35. A revisit will set you back between $605-635 with a Medicare rebate between $67-$117. For a consultation they will charge between $405-$435 with a Medicare rebate between $67-$117. There is no provision for pensioners or a reduced rate commensurate to your child's situation. To communicate with them you will need to email their office. Their recorded phone message indicates they are too busy to deal with you and refers you to follow this process. When you attend your face-to-face appointment with the Paediatrician your head will spin at the pace of the consult. In this process you will be made to feel that you should be 'grateful' and you are encroaching on their busy schedule. As a returning patient you will be faced with long waiting periods for appointments, even if your child has started medication. There is no follow up in regard to medication and you will not be allowed to speak to the Paediatrician. You will need to go through the hoops of sending emails to reception, then be faced with long waiting periods, and if you 'secure' an appointment, you will be required to pay a hefty fee for this basic follow up health care.Honestly, the thing they do well is give you an assessment for your child, but unfortunately this is under cut by not having a holistic view of the child and their needs. They do not have the flexibility, strategies, availability, or variety of appointment types to meet your child's needs. They are only interested in writing reports. You will get an assessment and most likely a prescription for medication, then you are pretty much on your own. If you want to talk about anything to do with the medication your child has been prescribed, just forget it! To talk to the Paediatrican you will have to email the reception and then go through the waiting process. We were told we had to wait 8 months to see the Paediatrican about our child's prescription. It was only after jumping up and down (via email) that we were given an earlier appointment but told that we had to pay the fees listed above. We are on a pension.Really, as parents of children who need support, we need to demand and expect more from our health care providers. Surely somewhere included the $1500 fee and the $630 fee that we paid it would have been reasonable to expect to be able to talk to the Paediatrican about the medication they prescribed. This service is not up to scratch. It provides a false expectation of support. You will be better supported if you source out a Paediatrician who actually cares about you and your child. We would encourage you to look elsewhere. After we posted this, you can see below that they offered an apology, but this is just for your benefit. There is nothing sincere about it. The reality is that we have been emailing them for well over two weeks and they haven't bothered to resolve our complaint. Instead, they have made us jump through hoop after hoop. They have treated us like we don't matter. They say they contacted as if to infer that this makes what they have done ok. But the fact is they contacted us using an "unknown number" at a time convenient for them, they left a message saying that they had rang, and they did not leave a number to call them back. This means we have to email them again and again as they do not allow patients to ring and speak to reception. The numerous emails we sent to them were not answered. Our complaints and the questions we have raised have not been addressed by them. The response from the owner, Dr Yeoh, was to discontinue care for our child.
Winnie W: Everyone we have come across at the clinic have been extremely professional and friendly - from the receptionist (both on the phone and when we arrived), to the paediatrician and the psychologist. We suspected our son had ADHD at the time and this a one-stop-shop for parents who wants to have everyone done in the one visit. We saw the paediatrician, psychologist and our son went through brain wave test and ability tests in the same morning. It is pricey but if you did everything separately, it may end up costing the same if not more, not to mention the time spent to going back and forth on multiple visits.
Vanessa: I highly recommend the courteous and professional staff at Child Development Clinic. It is always daunting when investigating your child’s health and well-being. Child Development clinic was such an amazing facility in helping support our family get a diagnosis for our child. All the Developmental paediatricians, psychologists and staff were all so professional and comforting when interacting with our child. They provided valuable insight and helped us make sense of a complicated diagnosis. The reports received after our appointment were comprehensive and provided some fantastic links to resources that can be utilised to give further information for our child’s diagnosis. It’s a long day for the kids but the psychometric testing, face to face appointments with Drs and facilities were all amazing. Highly recommend to any parent looking to get some support and understanding for their child.
Jenson Jacob: A rip off of a joint. Total sham. I still don't know what they actually do. Some "brain mapping" and 1700 later and 3 months down the line still no report. Totally UnprofessionalI had my 6 year old ASD with ADHD son visit this joint, they had no clue as they boast on their website. They didn't know how to deal with a child on spectrum and the staff appears to have never seen someone on spectrum. One would think that you would have strategies in place to deal with various kids walking through the door. My son was upset being there and they had no ideaThey were quick enough to take my money however 3 months down the line still no report until I reached out.Anyways , I would avoid this place completely especially if you are a parent of a child on spectrum. The amount is wait time , you would think that these are the epitome of some breakthrough information. Don't waste your timeOne of the most horrible experiences for my son and for us with zero outcome
XOZTCATPREZ: I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the specialist behavioural pediatrician and psychologist at this clinic. I have recommended them several of my friends who have had nothing but good things to say also.
