THE Spanish Fly: what do users think?
Dawn Reeves: Fabulous atmosphere and outstanding food. Selection of food and drinks were amazing. A very busy place so go early or book a table. In a great location.Recommended dishes Seasonal Greens, Truffle Mushroom Tortellini, Steamed Green Beans & Broccolini, Patatas Bravas, Chilli Calamari, Slow-Cooked Lamb Shoulder, Paella Balls, Garlic Mushrooms, Coleslaw Salad, Poached Beets & Burrata, Grilled Hervey Bay Scallops …More
Eric Heward: Found two pieces of plastic and a hair in one of the empanadas. They didn't charge for empanadas but personally I'd given the whole meal for free if there are foreign objects in the foodFood: 5/1|Service: 5/1|Atmosphere: 5/4 …More
Simran Elliot: Lovely staff and great atmosphere. Sadly the food did not meet expectations especially the chorizo and chickpea dish.Food: 5/1|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Andrea Pulati: Friendly service and delicious food. Awful, unnecessary and thumping music. Don't the Spaniards have their own tunes?Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/3 …More
Niki Vasiliadis: Great vibe and food. This little tapas joint is always packed with people but the tables are turned around pretty quick. We dropped in after a movie at the Ritz and were seated in less than 10mins.Server recommended two dishes per person and we found that to be enough but depends on how hungry you’re feeling. The patatas bravas and calamari dishes were outstanding, would definitely order again. The crab cakes and pulled pork croquettes were also pretty good. There is a lot of variety on the menu which is great for larger groups. The Frangelico Sour was superb.Kitchen closes as 10pm.
Tarynn Houghton: Overall great place! Cocktails and food was outstanding!Best grilled octopus I have had in a very long time! Truffle Mushroom Tortellini was THE BEST!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/3|Atmosphere: 5/4Recommended dishes Truffle Mushroom Tortellini, Pulled Pork Croquettes …More

Chris Evans: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/3|Atmosphere: 5/4More
Madeline Stock: The staff were friendly and prompt. The food was good, we ordered some tapas and a paella. We were told the paella was quite big, we didn't think so and maybe lacked a little bit of flavour.
Jayden Maloney: Amazing, lamb was god tier. And staff with the bleach anime shirt was so helpful and friendly - extremely nice and supportive attitude and i cant say enough to make him stand out. I would eat here again 💯
foxy bro: Amazingly delicious food, must try. Over the top nice staff. Amazing service
Caitlin Bull: A great little restaurant with tasty food. The portions are a little small though. We had 6 plates with bread and the boys could have eaten more.Food: 5/4|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/4Recommended dishes Cabbage Salad, Beef Empanadas …More
Alex Foster: Delicious food and sangriaFood: 5/5|Service: 5/4|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Pulled Pork Croquettes …More
Ria M: Nice place - we went for drinks and a few tapas. Everything was lovely but the waitstaff put way too much pressure on you to order! There is no need to come up so frequently to ask if anything is needed. If you want to go for a cocktail - I wouldn’t recommend going as they will want you to order a lot of food. Tapas is supposed to be bar food.
Samuel Sida: Feels greatFood: 5/4|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Richard Z: Beautiful and wholesome Spanish food in a nice, cosy dining setting.
Pamela christie: Very noisy but I'll go back.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Larissa Araboni: One of the best food experience I had in Sydney. Too many choices and we loved all of them! Great food and great staff! Just fabulous! We'll be back for sure!Recommended dishes Poached Beets & Burrata, Grilled Hervey Bay Scallops, Truffle Mushroom Tortellini, Patatas Bravas …More
Ian Alfaro: Amazing food and service!!
G Man: Didn’t realise you need to read the fine print on saturday to discover their surcharge. Then they had the audacity to ask if we wanted to leave a tip. My tip is if you want to charge a surcharge on Saturday then have the balls to tell the customers in advance. Good food but experience ruined by them trying to steal the 10% surcharge. Didn’t even disclose the surcharge on the bill just increased the prices. Again totally misleading.

D Haque: It's a beautifully maintained zoo. Restrooms are clean and new. Lots of places to sit if you need a rest. Great views of the Sydney harbour Bridge/ city. Lots of rubbish bins which is helpful if you're going with young ones who are forever snacking. The yearly pass is well worth it - you also get a discounted rate at the gift shops and food if you hold one of these passes. Can't wait for the gondolas to be upgraded, that was one of our favourite parts!

Bronwyn Marshall-Spence: The Zoo is a fun place to visit and VIVID at the Zoo was great. You can take the Ferry across the Circular Quay and back again, which is well worth it!!
Emily Beavan: A great zoo! We got the ferry from Darling Harbour and spent the day. I also did the elephant experience which was fantastic and I would highly recommend doing it if you can! The keepers are very knowledgeable and helpful!
Green Cat: Got a year pass for Taronga and that’s about what I’ve needed to explore all of its nooks and crannies! It’s an absolutely giant zoo with lots of exhibits to keep you occupied on your free days, my only advice is to not visit if you have a short time limit as you will probably not get much past the entrance :D P.S. The birds are fearless!Animals (variety, access, etc.) - 10/10Food choice - 5/10Activities/Engagement - 9/10OVERALL - 9/10
Jamie [JKBS]: A variety of wild life and great explanation by the zookeepers pertaining to each particular species of animals. You may want to spend at least 4 to 5 hours walking around the park aka zoo. A couple of areas were closed but still great place to go to. Kids will definitely love the place . Thanks everyone at Toranga Zoo. You guys are the best .

Tim Uen: As I work locally, I like to try many trendy and nice restaurants around the area. The maître ‘d was very accomodating to help and find me a table. I often find there to be good service all around at venues in Barangaroo, still above the rest, staff at Born are extremely approachable and make me feel cultured, and a valued customer.I am a fan of this style of casual dining tapas restaurant, however I cannot always find the time to visit similar establishments in Surry Hills. Just an 8min walk from Wynyard, I believe that Born is in a convenient and lively location where I will likely return to, sooner rather than later.
Narghiza Ergashova: Get ready to have your culinary expectations surpassed with our irresistibly exquisite menu. We cater to all taste preferences, whether you crave salty sensations or sweet and scrumptious delights. Our expert chefs meticulously select only the finest ingredients, ensuring each plate is generously presented and fuses flawlessly into a taste bud adventure that will leave you shivering with delight. From heavenly appetizers to decadent desserts like tiramisu and Fresh Strawberry cheesecake, every dish is a masterpiece of flavor. So indulge your senses and escape into a world of culinary bliss with us.
Lauren: Had a wonderful dinner here with work colleagues and the food was excellent and wine list extensive. A bit on the pricey side but no surprise for Barangaroo. Happy to go ahead and try more dishes!Recommended dishes Jamon Serrano, Croqueta …More
Sonia: The service was horrible. The staff were very unhelpful. Never again !!!The food was average and overpriced.
Stephanie Smith: Let me tell you why this is 1 star...1. Followed up on food twice as had a concert to go to. No-one came back to us to tell us when the food was coming2. An hour later I go and pay the bill based on the food we had actually received. The waitress tells me I have more food coming to which I replied, we followed up 2 times without people coming back to me. Her response was to shrug at me. Ive been a restaurant owner and that is not customer service.3. While im paying a different waitress goes go to my table to find out "what actually happened". Excuse me? I didn't lie!I love tapavino but will NEVER go back. Disappointed and hungry.
Redentor Tandog: restaurant uses olive and or canola oils with a rich selection of seafoods and meat dishes. Sour dough bread was soft on the inside and crisp on the outside and was a delight during meals. The service was excellent and the gentleman catered for my dietary requirements. We'll be back! thank you.Food: 5/4|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Tina Dinh: First time trying a Spanish restaurant and I am so happy with the food. The service was questionable. The waiter that took our order disappeared, so I had to ask the server to call a waiter because there were no waiters around for some reason?? On a Saturday night too. Every dish was delicious and cooked beautifully. The menu can be quite difficult to understand so ask for help if unsure. I would recommend the churros (amazing twist to the usual sweet churros) and lamb 🤩
Andy Pranata: Service was the highlight, always delivered with a smile. The Churros, Croquette, and Chorizo were the highlight for us; but every dish that we ordered are superb.Great atmosphere, and great value.
Af Le: Delicious food, we went with the wait staff recommendations of butternut tarta, milk cheese wrapped in jamon, chicken wings, chicken main, lamb main, catalan crema, chocolate tarta and Eton mess. Great service and neat atmosphere on a Tuesday nightFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Croqueta, Tart Burnt Butter Mousse …More

Charlotte Lantai: I had my 40th birthday party at Lola Cocina in Crows Nest in early May. It was a great choice - I love the homely environment and music in this place and the separate eating areas, which make it ideal for hosting a special event! Rita was so helpful and accomodating, meeting me and my partner beforehand to talk about how we would like the event to be set up, what food we wanted and on the day, a large table was put together with a white tablecloth and it was nicely decorated. All the food was delicious, the waiters were lovely and Rita kindly made modifications to the menu for some of the guests (including me) who had dietary requirements with no fuss at all. I chose the $69 banquet menu for my 13 guests, which was good because you got a nice variety of food for everyone to enjoy! Also, we ordered a few jugs of traditional sangria - a must have!! Rita kindly let us stay till the restaurant closed, which was so generous - it was one of the best nights I’ve ever had and one of my best birthdays!!! Thank you, Lola Cocina!
Dan: Meat in one of the Paela was overcooked & dry. But aside from that, can't complainFood: 5/4|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Mia Hubber: Slow service and confused staff. Took an hour to receive our order with no communication from staff as to why it was taking so long seeing as there were only a handful of customers. They kept having to check what we ordered and when the food arrived it was unpalatable.Warning: Do not order Paella Arroz Negra. It is tasteless mush and despite advertising it to be filled with “black pudding, calamari, chorizo, king prawns and fresh seafood” we could not distinguish any of those foods from the black amorphous blob that was presented to us.I’m sure other menu items would be better but I don’t want to take the risk. Will not be going back.
D X: Not bad, but not great! Most of the food portions are very small!
Jessica Zhang: It was a birthday dinner for my mum, I made the comment in my online booking, after the whole experience, I’m not too sure why do you care to know what was the customer’s occasion for dinning at yours! There was not a single waitress/waiter in the whole restaurant with a smiling face (yes I looked around and checked how others were doing, looked pretty miserable) you don't feel the enthusiasm that you should have in a Spanish restaurant at all! No one asked us how was the food and how was our experience etc. like other proper restaurants would do. (I think their service is the biggest problem)$10 for a bottle of sparking water (not branded) and $5 for a bottle of steel - cannot be refilled. They don’t tell you that water are gonna cost you these days! And of course I could have asked for tap if I was informed. I commented at payment, the lady at the counter said oh that’s is very normal. Not too sure if the way she responded to me was how I would expected, but don’t you have the obligation to let your customer know at the start when you ask steel or sparkling? Even the Fish Bowl at crows nest have steel and sparking water tap at counter free of charge.Food was ordinary in general, a few had good comments from my sister who never really had Spanish food before, so that’s where the two starts went...Will not recommend if you are after good service and a Spanish place with good atmosphere. We will go back to Encasa from now on.

Harriet Funnell: The staff were all very friendly and welcomed us with smiles. My partner and I ordered 4 dishes to share between us, and they were all delicious. Our favourites were the tiger prawns in a smoked creamy sauce & the patata bravas. The sangria was great too. Great atmosphere, and we look forward to coming back soon with friendsVegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. The Mediterranean salad was a great portion size and very tastyKid-friendliness: Great atmosphere for children too
Maulik Chheda: Me and my friend had gone for lunch on a Friday. There is a free 2 hour parking just around the corner near woollies, so no hassle around that. The warm welcome, and friendly customer service was definitely a good starter for us. We ordered paella mixta and patatas bravus. They were quick, well plated and served at right temperature. The flavours were perfect and it was very delicious. The quantity was also hearty, could easily be enough for 3-4 people. Overall, a great experience and would definitely recommend for individuals and all types of groups.

WEA Sydney: what do users think?
Ian Walker: Can;t get on to the new website. Not working for me
Jane Cioffi: Great new website.Congratulations
Summer Hill: Would not recommend as course cancelled a few days before due to start (fully refunded though)
Jimbo_The_Sicko: I did Spanish here earlier this year, it was great learned a lot and would love to do it again!
fadia s: Very good. A lot of courses to suit everyone : languages History, philosophy, sport, psychology, humanities,etc...face to face & online. I went to enrol. Friendly atmosphere. Cheaper than any teaching & learning institution. Please ring to inquire. They have all the facility required & 1 min walk to the train. Good luck to whom is keen to become eduducated in different field
Haydn Scott: Great place to learn a language.
Annette Brasington: I have been attending high level French classes at WEA for many years. I understand that during Covid there was no alternative to doing classes online. However the new catalogue for Term 1 20210 states that all French language classes (except beginners) will continue on Zoom . This is extremely disappointing. There is no substitute for face to face interaction especially in language learning. I am sick of Zoom including its inevitable technical difficulties. Annette
Sandra Myers: Despite restaurants, gyms, pools etc opening up , WEA is only offering courses on line which continues to keep people in social isolation.
kerri morey: I have no wish to do language courses online. It's a very poor substitute, hence the cost should reflect that.
Arthur Hurwitz: I have been attending courses at the W.E.A.for decades. What makes the W.E.A. such a special learning place for me, is the high standard of the lectures and the lecturers. Without exception, every presenter, whose courses I have attended, has been well qualified, approachable and knowledgeable in their field. The lectures are well organised and interesting, and always run smoothly, starting on time and ending on time. The location of the W.E.A., at 72 Bathurst Street, in the Syd C.B.D., is handy to Town Hall Station, for public transport, and there are plenty of eating options nearby, if you feel like a snack or a coffee before, or after, the lectures. The building though is fairly old and dated, and it would be nice to see it upgraded and modernised. The toilets especially are inadequate for the number of students. It’s a similar story with the lifts: One can wait ages for one when it’s busy. There is a small library on the ground floor and any student can join and borrow bks. But it’s also rather mouldy and cramped and in need of a refurb to make it more enticing and easier to move around in. Ditto the little waiting area just outside the library. It would be nice to have a place that’s a bit more comfy and conducive for students to get together and chat before or after class. But, that aside, if you’re interested in learning and ed, I can highly recommend the W.E.A. It has a large range of courses to choose from. Some useful for everyday life like computer skills, foreign languages, writing skills etc, others just great for gen interest.
Peter Burnett: I have been attending WEA for many years and it always offers couses to enrich my life. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the courses I have chosen about religion, philosophy, ancient and modern history and literature. It always inspires me to research more on each subject and I look forward to each meeting. I also meet so many clever and erudite people in the audience to enhance the whole experience.
Michael Macdonald: WEA is a good institute. It has good lecturers and the topics are interesting. It is very handy to public transport. For people who are like me Senior citizens WEA provides intellectual stimulation
Meredith Garnsey: WEA courses are always interesting and the topics to choose from varied and wide. Over the years that I have participated in WEA courses I have found them to be relevant and up to my expectation.. I consider them value for my money and my time especially the courses for seniors trying to update their IT skills. The instructor/tutor is patient and giving of their time and energy. I also recommend WEA courses as a means of becoming acquainted with like minded students for your particular interests and skills. Now in retirement I look forward to my next round of courses and lectures.
Mary Grant: WEA is a marvellous educational institution - I know this after attending a wide variety of courses over many years (history, language, practical arts, music, travel, etc, etc). The tutors are well equipped to offer stimulating and informative courses, and the infrastructure of WEA works very well. WEA is also exceptionally easy to access by public transport. I hope that I'll be participating for many many more years to come.
Stephen Kelly: I have been doing WEA courses for many years and I always find the courses well run and affordable. Such a wide selection of topics and fabulous teachers.
peter stapleton: I have been attending WEA classes in Sydney for about 70 years in all kinds of subjects of interest like English, History, Science, Philosophy, Politics and Culture. They have been to me the best Adult Education Provider I have ever known for the working classes and anyone interested in learning without any special requirements to be met. It is a wonderful and idealistic organisation which I hope will be around forever for those interested in learning whatever interests them and it is an ideal learning environment.
gisele mesnage: I attend WEA courses with my guide dog, D'artagnan. The staff and the tutors are always welcoming and make every effort to provide an inclusive experience. My main interest is in literature, history and philosophy, and I have done some amazing courses. the The tutors are engaged with their subjects, very knowledgeable, and generally encourage discussion. I did a poetry class, although I had never had any interest in poetry. But the tutor was so passionate about the subject, I developed a love for it too. The other students are friendly and I have made some lasting friendships with people I have met there. My guide dog D'artagnan loves going to WEA too and he was especially attentive when we took a class on Alexander Dumas. The The Politics at Lunchtime courses are a good way to spend an hour doing something different and interesting. There is something for everyone at WEA, so check it out.
Anne Eagar: WEA provides education by highly qualified tutors, the courses are challenging but relaxed, social events that are fun and inspiring. WEA respects access for people with disabilities. Thank you WEA, you make a difference in my life.
Jo-Anne Lee: Done quite a few courses over the last few years and very enjoyable plus you learn something new. Handy location near Town Hall station.
Peter Sattin: WEA makes a great, and varied selection of courses available from term to term. Good quality lecturers and knowledgeable fellow students. The location is very convenient. Highly recommended.
O Livia: I did two courses to try it out and both were an absolute pleasure. It's such a great list of programs I can't wait to try out more. I've missed learning and it's nice to be able to stretch my skills without having to commit all my spare time to do it.

Boque by Tapavino Darling Square: what do users think?
Eugenia Murua: Nice food, sometimes short of staff so be patience.
Robert Ashley: Reasonably priced and high quality food. Attentive staff and a lively atmosphere. Focus on the hanger steak, tostada and jamon with sourdough.
Frances W: Overall, not recommend. Utterly disappointed. In the very first is Hoping Boque’s hygiene standard will not become a ripple effect and bring down the industry. And industries! We still want to be abled to feel safe to eat outside, go outside!Surprisingly no customer facing staff wearing mask , nor in the open kitchen except perhaps the bartender…. (Maybe is the grey area?) Unlikely following the nsw business rule either. And staff actually said it Is not required…!?! hanging the mask under the jaw, really?! After over 1.5yr still don’t know how to wear mask and how Covid works?! U r in the food industry! Already affecting the appetite with such hygiene control! The rest? Never mind.Food Portion is small, pricy. And really not that up to standard.8 dishes ordered but nothing to mention except The anchovies diving inside the olive oil with acidic taste (like lemon) really remaind us for having the fish oil tablet that give u a mouth full of and fill with fishy+ fishy taste for the rest of the day when u r a kid.The pawns are ok compare with the rest. I guess it even make it more spectacular when other dishes are so bad while it’s actually overly oily. And a presentation like this, pretty well said …The jar of Sangria filled with 90% ice cube and the glasses u get also comes with ice cube filled 60%. We are drinking water when u refill from your jar..
Kara Lackmann: Amazingly tasty, took me back to my travels in Spain a culinary getaway, if you like. The usual suspects on the menu, patatas bravas and croquettes with a delicious sangria...yum yum. Will be back.
Meghan Kemp: Noice!
Neena Nguyen: I came by this place earlier in Feb this year and was left with such a sour taste in my mouth from on person working that I just left without bothering to order what I came for. I had Boque saved on my places-to-go to try their fresh churros for months now, and when I arrived the man who seemed to be the manager or person in charge was extremely short with me and extremely rude.I was lingering around the restaurant since I wasn't 100% sure where to go up to the counter. Since I looked very lost the person in charge walked straight up to me while they were in the middle of serving a table order and asked "What are you looking for? What do you want." Bluntly. It was so unfriendly and impatient that I was taken aback and slowly started to ask if the churros they made were Vegan, since my sister who with me was vegan (I would have ordered them irregardless for myself). He quickly quipped out a disgusted "No. They're not." and immediately turned on his tail to walk away from me.This interaction lasted less than a minute but I felt so disrespected and upset that I couldn't bring myself to give this business ANY money. Fresh churros are hard to come by so it's even more disappointing.I can't say anything about the food there or any of the OTHER staff members, but this one man had left such an upsetting and sad impact on me that it almost ruined my Sunday/only day off with my sisters. We all remarked "that guy was so rude .." as we walked away and needless to say. I won't be back.Oh and the restaurant had 2-4 people seated at most.
Wendy Scott: Great set menu with amazing service. Very friendly staff and generous meal portions.
En-lai Chan: Great Spanish tapas food! Had a lovely time sitting at the bar being looked after by Tommy whilst watching the chef create such delectable food! Highly recommended!
Pedro Fernández: Home away from home. Great for tapas and a beer, excellent food and service.
L L: Service and ambience great, presentation of food good. Dishes were unfortunately either too strong or not well seasoned.
Ka Ling (Drkyling): Delicious Tapas with friendly service. I’m amazed that this isn’t a full fledged restaurant but part of a shared food space. Pork cheeks skewers was really great - $8 for each but done perfectly at medium rare level. We also got Jamon Serrano - nice, chewy and sweet, served with bread and olive oil. Pan Con Tomate was also very well done - chopped tomatoes with garlic on grilled bread. Patatas Bravas were huge - I would prefer it to be smaller pieces with more sauce. I also enjoyed grilled octopus with potatoes with spicy paprika sauce - lovely sauce and very chewy. With sangria and churros - I’m not so much of a fan, so will not get that next time. The staff were very friendly but payment feels like in Europe, you might have to go to the bar to pay in person. Will be back for more Tapas.
Doro Ngo: The staff were very funny and understanding. The churros were just right, not too sweet, and went well with the chocolate dip. We really enjoyed our time. Will definitely come back.
Doris Dodig: Place is better than the original in Barcelona. We tried all tapas and the octopus and the food was so simple but so delicious which was so satisfying. We recommend it and would definitely come back again.
lostwingwind17: Good service, cabbage salad was great, meat dishes were good but slightly salty. Enjoyable experience overall.
Hilda Wu: Great food and great service
Trudi Scrymgour: Excellent service, great food
Matthew D: I've literally decided to do my first ever food review. And there's damn good reason. Honestly, the food blew my mind. I've travelled the world and tasted some amazing dishes, but this was an experience. The balance of flavours, perfect execution, and to top it off, the staff were great. If you are in Sydney, just try it. Trust.
M P: Joe and the team are amazing! Couldn't get better than this place. Incredible staff and service, wonderful food and sangria - what more could you ask for! My go to place in Sydney. Thanks for always looking after me team Boque ;)
Paul Choi: Food is tasty and really well seasoned. Price is also great for what you get. Also great vibes and amazing staff!!! Good job guys 👌👌👌
Paul L: The friendliest restaurant in this area! And the food is delicious too. Come on a weekday and it's actually very quiet and romantic, avoid the Friday and weekend crowds for the best experience. Love the lamb shoulders dish, so much flavour!
Brendan Dan Tjahjadi: If you are wondering what good service is then come down to Boque at Darling Square. This has to be the epitome of excellent service! The Food is brilliant and very tasty. I’ve been to many tapas places and this is one of the best around. They have tasty cocktails and again, the service by Joe and his team will make you feel welcome and well looked after. We recommend this place to anyone.
