Sydney Endocrinology: what do users think?
Kelly Lawrence: After being diagnosed last year, Dr Gupta and the team were amazing and helped me with everything from diet to medications and even nurse appointments to show me how to use some of the medical devices. They worked to get me on the right path with my diabetes and I cant thank them enough.
alyssa lacsamana: “I did not feel that I was being well looked after.”I came in late for the appointment because I went to the wrong clinic and my appointment was rushed. For the follow-up checkup, I received a notification stating the time and I responded “Yes”. On the same day, Dr Gupta called me and I was not prepared for the phone call. I explained that the time sent to me by the receptionist was still in the afternoon. During the phonecall, he highlighted how important his schedule is and how he had explained everything in our last meeting. He might have forgotten that he was rushing throughout our appointment and did not even provide written instructions. He offered another phone call for the next week, and I protested as I am aware that I need to receive prompt feedback regarding my management, that is why I opted for private consultations. He did not call on the agreed upon time, which is the same time that the clinic sent to me. This was also confirmed via email. Though when he finally called, he apologised.I would also like to add that at every appointment, I found out directly from them that I was not given the proper booklets which contain the information I need to manage my gestational diabetes. I was a bit upset about everything and as someone pregnant, needing special support, I only wanted fair and quality service. To be fair, the dietitian and diabetes educators were nice.
susan wade: Dr Patel is very professional and is always interested in my issues and keen to resolve the medical problems I am experiencing.
Jessica Hall: Continuously the BEST endocrinologist in Sydney. I feel so safe and well looked after by everyone. Dr Tonks has been my endocrinologist for years. Cannot recommend enough!
Debbie Dunn: Two things the receptionist started the clock when I walked into the practice early for my appointment not when I went into see the Dr at least 15 mins later I was initially charged for an hour consultation but had to challenge this .I suggest you set a timer .Dr Flavia Bueno gave me a referral for 2 tests which I did, the pathologist called me a few days later and said the Dr Bueno had requested an additional cortisol test and to come in again. The results and bill were subsequently mailed to me by the pathologist. One might have thought it may have been courteous/ professional of FB to call me with results and an explanation for the additional test . Oh yes I wasn’t warned in advance the extra test isn’t covered by Medicare. They are very keen to take your credit card but admin & patient care need some polishing .
Valkyriess Starlight: I've been under the care of Dr. Nele Lenders and to say the least, she is a kind, caring and wise doctor. She has treated me so well and always answered my questions comprehensively. She prepares me to help make the best decisions toward my life goals. I've never felt pressured to do anything I did not want to, under her care and am always supported by her knowledge and experience.Thank you Dr. Lenders, I look forward to our appointments for years to come.
William Gualco: If you actually want to get better and seek good costumer service, please do not go to this place. It is literally a scam and all they want it’s your money, they do not care about their clients wellbeing. My experience was utterly awful.Firstly, the receptionist are rude and clueless, the first endocrinologist I saw was actually very good, however the story changed when I was assigned to a new person, which was absolutely incompetent.DC. Bueno was 45 minutes late at our first meeting which was on a zoom which I paid $300 for just so she could get to know me lol.Once she got the results from my blood test, she completely forgot to note that my dose was increased due to it being too low. This people are messing around with your health and should not be so negligent. Please please please do not even think about going to this place.
Nicole: I used to be a patient of Dr Katherine Tonks. She has changed so much over the years.I first saw her at at Mater Hospital where the consulting rooms were modest but cozy. She had the loveliest Secretary whom I got along with so well. Dr Tonks took such great care of me.Dr Tonks gave me advice on my condition and I remained under her care for a few years. I changed endocrinologists because once she opened her Clinic in North Sydney her attitude changed. She became self important, cold and treated me like I was worthless. I will never understand why she changed her attitude towards me as a patient. I always took time off my work to work around her schedule to be able to see her, I always paid the fee’s, I was never ever rude to her or late to an appointment and I valued her advice greatly. When I decided to leave her care I wrote her a letter to explain how upset I was that she had changed and I drove 40 minutes from my home to hand deliver it to her office where she told me “I may or may not read it”. Her care factor was zero.I advised Dr Tonks that I will not be returning to her Clinic and I requested my file be transferred to my new Endocrinologist.I saw my new endocrinologist for a couple of years and she happened to provide me conflicting advice relating to my condition. I felt confused, worried and upset. I sent an email to Dr Tonks’ Clinic (on Thursday, 26 May 2022) explaining what my current Endocrinologist had told me and since the advice I had received conflicted greatly to the advice Dr Tonks had originally given me; could she please contact me.On Friday, 27 May 2022, I drove 40mins from home to hand deliver my blood test results to coincide with my email so Dr Tonks could review these (she did not ask to see these results - I just felt it would help to provide her as much info on this as possible). I put my family commitments on hold that day to hand deliver these results to Dr Tonks. I could have just scanned the results through - but I wanted to give her the respect to receive these hand delivered. The next day (Sat, 28 May 2022) I received a voicemail from Dr Tonks new secretary advising her books are full - that was it. I very highly doubt that she even read my email or looked at my blood tests. Dr Tonks recommended another endocrinologist that she knows won’t actually treat my condition!Dr Tonks was so careless in regards to my situation; it would take her five (5) minutes to call me and provide me with some clarity regarding the conflicting advice I have received in regards to my condition. No doctor is too busy to spare 5 mins to call an ex-patient who is worried out of their mind and that they saw for MANY years and who spent thousands of dollars (yes, thousands) to see them. This is what I mean when I say Dr Tonks has changed. There is unfortunately more I could comment on in regards to her behaviour - but there simply is not enough space to write it on here. This whole situation is upsetting.A fancy job title and lots of money in the bank does not give a person the right to assume that they are more important than other people. We all matter. I am actually disgusted in the lack of care Dr Tonks has shown towards me.Update** 8/11/22The Clinic have replied to my review (below) with false information today. Fair enough if the information they noted was accurate. They appear to have extracted a section of a sentence in my email to make me look bad. The was much more to that sentence and paragraph and it was not written in any kind of disrespectful or demanding manner. I contacted the Clinic in regards to this, but highly doubt they will respond. Publicly sharing false information regarding an ex-patient is considerably unprofessional and only reflects poorly on the Clinic. The response was signed off by the ‘Practice Manager’ (they seem to have gone through a lot of these over the years). I’ve never met or had any contact with this Practice Manager. The information that I have shared in my review remains honest and accurate.
Charlotte Mathers: The reception staff are warm and kind. I saw Wendy who was very supportive and helpful with my condition. I was impressed and happy with the level of care at Sydney endocrinology
Peter Pritchard: Katherine Tonks and her team were wonderful to deal with. They were professional and personable in every interaction. Katherine always followed up on every test and procedure and kept me fully informed at all stages. I cannot recommend Sydney Endocrinology highly enough,
Stefania Colameo: Dr. Bueno is one of the most caring specialist I have ever had the pleasure of having. She is an all round doctor. It was a first rate professional experience. The front desk is kind and helpful at Sydney Endocrinology. A modern and calm environment, and an amazingly well equiped clinic.Dr. Bueno is always on time, she takes time to go over the diagnosis clearly, researches if needed, and discusses treatment options. She combines such personal care for a patient as a specialist with outstanding expertise medical care. I never felt rushed. Walked away very impressed with the overall experience. HIGHLY recommended.
Deanna Sarrouf: Dr Bueno is so knowledgeable and attentive. She is such a wonderful doctor, I can’t recommend her enough. I have always had a really positive experience coming to Sydney Endocronology. Thank you to the whole team for being such a comforting support..
Kaye Scott: Very warm, friendly and understanding reception staff especially during COVID. The doctors here are caring, very professional and obviously up to date with current practices. I highly recommend this practice.
Veronica Turner: I was referred to Sydney Endocrinology after a Pituitary complication.Associate Proffessor Katherine Tonks was so gentle and reassuring to me about my condition.I felt incredibly safe in her knowledge and in her explanations of my condition.During lockdown for Covid 19, my appointments continued vis Zoom meetings. Any tests, or further referrals and results of current tests were emailed to me.The reception staff are very helpful.I highly recommend Sydney Endocrinology especially Associate Proffessor Katherine Tonks.Veronica Turner
Sanjana Rajendran: Disorganized and incompetent staff at reception. I went in for an appointment in person 5 weeks ago. I was told that in order to come in person, I need to show my COVID vax certificate plus get a COVID test. I was fine with the COVID certificate since i was double vaxed anyway. However, I really didn't see the point in getting a COVID test- I was 7 months pregnant at the time and wanted to limited my exposure and didn't fancy going to the pop-up test booth and exposing myself to people who might have COVID. However, I did it because I had to. Got a negative result and came in the next day. And guess what? The staff neither asked about my COVID test and worse still- didn't even bother to check my certificate. There was no mention of it. Why make me do a test if you don't care enough to check it? Would the clinic take responsibility if I had got infected with COVID while pregnant as a result of the test? And does this mean your doctors and staff are tested on a weekly basis? Patients can get infected from your staff and doctors as much as they can from other patients. So we would like information of that too please- there is no mention of this on your website or your covid update on Google or to customers on the phone. It's real double standards and shows how incompetent and thoughtless the management is, especially when dealing with vulnerable patients.
OG Lads: The doctors there are not good and they are not respectful
Con Feltrin: I can’t thank Joel and Wendy enough. I haven’t felt this well for a long time. Everyone there is Professional, thorough and friendly. Thanks.
Lucas Brown: Julia was amazing , gentle , warm natured and made me feel very comfortable. I was very impressed with the level of care at Sydney endocrinology 😊
robin jones: Dr K Tonks is a professional, knowledgeable and caring Endocrinologist, with helpful and efficient reception staff.
Paul Fro: For the past 9 years I've been in the good hands of Dr Tonks' and her team who have been helping me navigate my diabetes. I can not say enough about their professionalism and open approach to client care and diabetes management. Dr Tonks and her team are always looking at better ways to manage diabetes and as such, they are open to new research, suggestions by other professionals and feedback from their clients. At the end of the day, it is team effort which will result in the best possible outcome for your efforts in managing diabetes.Thank-you & Best Regards - Paul Frontczak

ImuPro Australia & New Zealand: what do users think?
Artemi Kelly: great team to work with and super friendly
Meg Foote: I’ve taken the test with ImuPro and had really good results from it and felt a lot better. Would definitely recommend.
jessica mcavoy: Poor form from owner and staff!!I have not had to deal with this company in person, and if their non face to face correspondence is anything to go by, I definitely would not want to.I spoke to the supposed owner (Julie) on the phone about a distasteful article that one of their own doctors wrote (alluding that children with autism are unhealthy and children who don’t have autism are healthy) and was published on the website. Julie wasn’t sure how to navigate this and hung up on me, then ignored any attempt to corespondent with her.Julie obviously released the article was insensitive and inappropriate, it was removed after our conversation.Since emailing with one on the companies naturopaths, Hannah, the interaction continued to decline.Hanna told me Julie didn’t hang up on me, even though she had no part in the phone call.
C D: Great test recommended by my Doctor, reliable results and fantastic follow up from staff. Thanks.
