Peter Mak: The drinks, candle, card and shot glass were all lovely touches for our birthday boy and was really unexpected. Really good cocktail list and whiskies available. Staff were all attentive and provided great service. Food was on point too. We had a great night. Not being able to find the venue was a quirk but we thought the discreet entrance added to the mystery and charm of the night. Well done. Skal!

Jimmy Liang: Came with a group of friends for a dinner a few months ago. Service was attentive and flawless. We were floored by the quality of the dishes served. Expect an a la carte experience at a reasonable price point. Their menus do change seasonally, however if you do see the wagyu tartare with caviar on the appetiser menu again do yourself a favour by ordering it. A friend suggested to get their mashed potatoes and it was textbook. Reminded me of my childhood. Simply one of the best experiences I have had at a dining establishment, and I will be coming back in the near future.

We had to wait excessively long for our food, and even though our drinks were empty, they were not refilled. Mark Joscelyne: Last night my wife and I were fortunate enough to dine at Aria in the company of Matt Moran and Gordon Ramsay. The wait staff, food selection, ambiance and vibe was world class. I decided to do the wine paring and for someone that knows the globalwine scene quite well, I was particularly impressed with our sommelier Vikki. Her knowledge and understanding of wine was outstanding and this really helped turn a great night into an absolutely incredible evening. To the whole team at Aria, I take my hat off to you all for a night I’ll remember for a long time.

On Anzac Day (25/04/2023) we had our baby daughter and we named her Aria because of the amazing date night we had in the restaurant and she is the most gorgeous girl ever! As my wife is pregnant, we didn't go for the oyster addition in the menu but we saw many tables had it. My wife also had the sashimi changed for something else as she wanted to avoid raw food, and the replacement dish was exquisite.It's hard to pick which of the dishes we like best, they were all great.The service was also friendly and attentive.Only small downside is that the bathroom looks a bit aged but it's very clean.Overall, it's a fantastic dining experience and truly lived up to its reputation as one of the great restaurants in Sydney.

Anastassia Gerakas: A Swan song to a Sydney dining scene institution. Food was as good as you could imagine. After years of wanting to get here, this place definitely lived up to its reputation. I can't remember when I had a more faultless degustation dinner! From the very first course, everything was perfectly seasoned, perfectly paired and prepared. The signature dish of trout and the abalone were our favourites, but the dessert course of white chocolate with yuzu will be the one dancing on my tastebuds for a very long time with its perfect Sour sweet combination of flavours. When Tetsuya moves to its new home we will come to celebrate the new chapter, wherever and whenever that may be. But for now thank you for the memories.

Jon Magro: Been wanting to dine at Tetsuya's for many years after hearing all the hype about the venue.We have dined in many restaurants some exclusive some just local to the area, so really wanted to experience Tetsuya's.My partner booked us a table for my birthday dinner.Honestly i left Tetsuya's highly disappointed and actually felt ripped off.I understand its a high end degustation restaurant but don't understand the hype.The staff were robotic and shared no emotions.Whilst the food was tasty and well presented it wasnt worth anywhere near $300pp.I ordered a Asahi beer which was served from a bottle and was charged $14.My partner was recommended a glass of wine to pair with the Lamb, the glass of wine was charged at $45.Overall it felt like i was just lining some rich guys pocket....not an experience i will cherish.

Nathan Marsh: We had a simply marvellous experience at Hubert! The staff in this venue are exceptional and everyone was incredibly lovely. There is something special about Hubert and it is a testament to the people who work here. It is obvious that the staff are all very proud of where they work and so they should be, as they are what make experiences like ours happen.Our wait staff were all very knowledgeable about the menu and all had personal recommendations, plus nothing was too hard. You can always tell when a restaurant has given their team the opportunity to really experience the food and these guys were passionate. From the moment we entered, to the moment we left, we were made to feel welcome and special.The sommelier was patient and very accomodating with helping us chose a wine. I am not an expert in describing what I want, but I know what I like and with a couple of tastings, he helped us achieve that, while remaining within our price guide. The food blew our mind! Every dish had something unique to offer and nothing disappointed. The small plates were the absolute winner for me and I think next time I will opt for more of those instead of venturing into the mains. The crab espelette was incredible! Fresh and buttery at the same time. The flavour of the sea was still there, but it managed to balance a richness that left you wanted soooo much more. I would have loved to have seen some more options on the menu in terms of the larger plates. Perhaps a ‘Hubert version’ of some classics such as Beef Bourguinon, coq au vin, or a cassoulet. However, I could not fault anything and could taste the love in everything we selected. I will definitely be back to try the chicken fricassèe. A huge shout out to the person who take our coats, to whoever washed our plates, you are all making magic. It was the best experience we have had in a while and made my partners birthday extra special.

Balifornia Girl: I love the vintage French theme on this place. But my nose were watery, they may need to vacuum and clean their dusty carpet.The service was ok but not excellent as a fine dining. I was sitting at the bar with my friend and we were sitting in between 2 couples.The couple on our left was Aussie couple and the one on our right were Asian. And we both could notice the different treatment from their staff and the the bald manager. They will keep asking and checking the Aussie couple if things were ok, they checked on us as well but they wouldn’t check with the Asian couple. Seems like they don’t treat people equally.For the price that they charged, I would have to recommend others to go to Bennelong, 6 Head, or even Woodcut as they’re not even as great as others fine dining in terms of food and especially the service.The food were a bit cold. But their margarita taste good.

The wine bottle is not placed on the table, so if I run out of wine in my glass, I had to wait until a waiter comes to pour. If the service does not allow pouring wine into empty glasses, it should be abolished.

I am not usually one for "fancy" food, but I tried to keep an open mind here and I'm so glad I did. I tried all the options and each element was delicious. I had not even heard of eating pearl meat, but it was wonderful. If you are unsure of a new food item, this is an ideal place to try them.

Very awkward, but we just didn’t want to cause a scene.Overall, we wanted to love it as it was for our anniversary, but i don’t think it’s worth it unfortunately.

Sandra Gounden: I organised a high tea to celebrate my friend’s milestone birthday on the 26/3/23. To begin with they didn’t have the teas that we requested. We were given just one sandwich each, which was stale. This was suppose to be an ‘Easter high tea’ but had absolutely nothing relating to Easter. When I enquirer about this, I was presented with brownies, which were rock hard and couldn’t be cut. I did call the next day and was told that someone in management would give me a call, still waiting!!!!Overall a very disappointing experience. At $75 per person, you’d be better off spending your had earned money at the Sheraton for their high tea or even Lilianfels which are much cheaper and better quality in my experience.

Alexander Terp: Came on mother's day, Quay gave our mom a champagne glass to celebrate (made it pretty clear it was free), but then asked if the rest of us would join in without making it clear we would pay. And it was not cheap champagne. We're already paying 374 AUD per person to be there, so we all thought "oh how nice of then to give us this extra thing, i guess we're already paying a lot". Being hit with 154 AUD extra on the bill for something that was not made clear would cost you never feels good and I'd expect better from staff at a place like Quay.Food itself was okay, the desserts were great and unique but the rest wasn't too amazing - overall definitely not worth 374 AUD for the 8 course (and the 6 course likely similar story). Food came out too slowly (we were there for over 3 hours) and portions were unsatisfying. Overhyped, save your money.
